Device for measuring and setting angles The invention relates to a device for measuring and setting the angular position of a machine head that can be swiveled in a vertical plane, with a mounting body that is adjustably attached to the machine tool head, and an optical angle measuring device releasably connected to the mounting body .
The indirect arrangement of an angle measuring device on the swiveling machine tool head with the interposition of a mounting body, e.g. B. a mounting plate, a direct permanent attachment of the angle encoder is vorzuzie hen for several reasons. The angle encoders are, when it comes to optical devices, very fine and expensive devices, and it is therefore useful if one finds sufficient for several machine tools with a single device. This is made possible by using assembly bodies in that one attaches similar assembly bodies to a number of machine tools, which are suitable for the detachable, rapid acquisition of one and the same angle measuring device. The assembly bodies are adjusted once and remain permanently attached to the tool machine head in the adjusted position.
The use of an adjusted assembly body and the easily detachable connection of the angle measuring device with this also has the advantage that the measuring device can easily be removed from the machine tool after the measuring or setting process and the sensitive optical device does not suffer from vibration during operation of the Machine is exposed.
The use of an optical angle measuring device is only useful if it can be adjusted very precisely. This means that not only the exact one-time adjustment of the assembly body is sufficient, but that the detachable attachment of the measuring device always ensures exactly the same position of the measuring device in relation to the assembly body, so the detachable connection of the measuring device must be ensured be completely free of play with the assembly body. In particular, any movement play of the measuring device with respect to the mounting plate in a plane parallel to the swivel plane of the machine head must be avoided. Such a play of movement would make itself felt to the full as a measurement error.
The device according to the invention is therefore designed so that the contact between the assembly body and the angle encoder takes place along planar surfaces which are essentially perpendicular to the pivot plane of the machine tool head, this contact being made with a force fit.
This measure enables the measuring device to be coupled to the assembly body without any play in terms of rotations in a plane parallel to the swivel plane.
Various of the known optical angle measuring devices can be used for the device according to the invention. The use of angular vials is preferred. These devices have already been developed to a very high precision. However, other devices with optical pitch circle reading can also be used. Instead of the level, a clear reference plane must be fixed in another way. This is e.g. B. possible by using a collimator telescope on the angle encoder. This application naturally requires at some point in the machine tool, e.g.
B. at the table, the presence means an exact plan area. The level can also be replaced by an angle comparator. However, only positions that do not deviate too far from the vertical can be set. The invention is explained in more detail in the drawings by exemplary embodiments. Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of the application of the Vorrich device in a planing machine. Fig. 2 is an enlarged detailed view of FIG. 1. In FIG. 3, a mounting body designed as a mounting plate is shown in plan view. Fig. 5 shows the use of the angle measuring device for aligning the work machine machine table.
FIG. 6 shows a special feature of the optical device of the angle measuring device in a schematic representation. Fig. 7 shows the use of a mounting body designed as a mounting bracket in a view from above. FIG. 8 shows an application analogous to FIG. 2, but with a different incidence of light. 4 shows a detail of the angle measuring device in section.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes the support of a Hobelma machine. The support movement direction is characterized by arrow 2. On the side surface 3 of the support 1, a mounting plate 4 is attached, on which an optical angle measuring device 5 (angle vial) is placed in a detachable connection.
In FIG. 2, the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 1 is explained in more detail by means of an enlarged detailed illustration. The side face of the support 1 is in turn designated by 3. The mounting plate has an upper flat surface 6 which serves as a contact surface between the mounting plate 4 and the angle measuring device 5.
The execution of the mounting plate 4 from FIG. 3 can be seen even more precisely. In the plane surface 6 there are holes 7 and 7 '. These holes 7 and 7 'are seen for the fastening screws, the hole 7 for lag screws and the holes 7' for pressure screws. Through these three pressure and tension screws, the mounting plate 4 is adjustably attached to the support of the machine tool. The plane surface 6 of the mounting plate 4 is set in the longitudinal direction by a longitudinal groove 8. The longitudinal groove 8 is partially overlapped at its two ends, the projections 9 terminating flush with the plane surface 6, so practically also forming a component of the plane surface 6.
The contact surface 11 of the angle measuring device 5 with the mounting plate 4 is formed on an intermediate plate 10, as can be seen from FIG. 2. The inter mediate plate 10 can be brought into intimate contact with the mounting plate 4 with the aid of clamping screws 12. For better guidance of the inter mediate plate 10 on the mounting plate 4 are Füh approximately projections 13, which are arranged on the intermediate plate 10 and which are guided when placing the Win kelmessgerätes 5 on the mounting plate 4 in the longitudinal groove 8 of the mounting plate 4. A stop pin 14 on the intermediate plate 10 and a corresponding recess 15 in the mounting plate 4 (FIG. 3) also serve to ensure that when the angle measuring device 5 is placed it always comes to rest in the same position with respect to the mounting plate 4.
A section through the intermediate plate 10 is shown in FIG. It can be seen from this that the intermediate plate 10 has a frustoconical projection 16 which enables an adjustable and centerable connection between the intermediate plate 10 and the housing of the angle encoder 5.
As can be seen from FIG. 2 and as already mentioned, the angle measuring device is an angle vial. The reversion level is designated by 17. 18 is the outer circle division. With 19 the microscope tube is designated net. The tube 20 contains the optics for radial (in relation to the pitch circle) light entry. 21 is a toggle button for either radial light entry or light entry on the back of the angle encoder.
The adjustment and measuring process is explained below: First of all, it is important that the mounting plate 4 is mounted on the side surface 3 of the support 1 so that the plane surface 6 of the mounting plate 4 lies parallel to the direction of movement 2 of the support 1 comes. This work must be carried out very carefully, but does not need to be repeated before each measuring process, since the mounting plate 4 once correctly set, remains mounted permanently unchanged. For this parallel alignment of the mounting plate 4 to the support movement direction 2 known methods (z. B. with the help of fine buttons) can be used.
For the parallel alignment of the plane surface 6 to the sup port movement direction 2, it is not absolutely necessary that the contact surface of the mounting plate 4 with the support 1 is exactly parallel to the planar surface 6. However, this parallelism is useful because in some machine tools the side surface of the swiveling machine tool head has points that are exactly parallel to the support movement direction from the start (or, if it is a vertical milling machine, for example, parallel to the spindle axis). In this case it is only necessary to ensure that the plane-parallel mounting plate rests snugly on the mentioned point on the machine tool head. The parallelism of the plane surface 6 to the support movement direction 2 (or to the spindle axis) then results automatically.
Before starting any measurement or setting the angular position of the machine tool head, it must be checked whether the display of the measuring device actually corresponds to the vertical position of the support movement direction (or the spindle axis) in relation to the table surface of the machine tool. For this purpose, the measuring device, as shown in FIG. 5, is placed on the machine tool table 24 and the zero position of the measuring device is checked. If there are 17 deviations from the zero position when the vial is in position, this can be swiveled on swivel tables until the zero position is reached.
In the case of smaller deviations and tables that cannot be swiveled, a corresponding correction can be made by rotating the plane-parallel adjusting plate 25 in the beam path of the reading microscope about the axis 26 (FIG. 6).
The measuring device corrected in this way is now attached to the mounting plate 4 of the support 1. When the plane surface 11 of the measuring device rests exactly on the plane surface 6 of the mounting plate 4, the 90 display of the measuring device corresponds exactly with the vertical position of the support movement direction (or the spindle axis) in relation to the table plane and brings each measurement or setting of the machine head extremely exact results.
When checking the zero position of the measuring device on the machine tool table, ensure that the pitch circle plane of the measuring device is parallel to the swivel plane of the swiveling machine tool head (e.g. by aligning it with the table grooves) and the measuring device without turning it around its axis by 180 to rotate, brings to the mounting plate, it is not necessary that the plane surface 11 of the measuring device is exactly horizontal in the zero position of the same. This horizontal position of the plane surface 11 in the zero position of the measuring device is very useful because then some precautionary measures are superfluous and also allows absolute settings of the horizontal position of the machine tool table who the.
It should be mentioned that the control of the zero position of the measuring device or the correction of the same can also take place without using a non-mounted mounting plate 4 '(FIG. 5). It is also possible - and if the mounting plate 4 'does not have exactly plane-parallel surfaces 23, it is even necessary - that the measuring device is set up with its plane surface 11 directly on the machine tool table 24.
It was required that when adjusting the mounting plate 4, its flat surface 6 should be exactly parallel to the support movement direction 2 (or spindle axis) of the pivotable machine tool head. It is of course also important to ensure that the said flat surface 6 of the mounting plate 4 is also in a plane perpendicular to the pivot plane of the machine tool head, but the smallest deviations from this position, if they are only 1, affect the measurement or setting result practically not enough. The same applies if the axis and the parallel side walls of the longitudinal guide groove 8 of the mounting plate 4 (Fig. 3) are not exactly par allel to the pivot plane of the Werkzeugmaschinenkop fes.
In an analogous manner, the smallest deviations of the plane surface 11 of the measuring device from the vertical position to the partial circle plane and deviations of the side walls of the guide projections 13 of the plane surface 11 of the measuring device from the parallelism to the partial circle plane have practically no effect on the measurement or setting result.
The selection of the exemplary embodiment in which the mounting body is a mounting plate which is arranged on the side surface of the same lying perpendicular to the pivot plane of the machine head, with the plane surface 6 of the mounting plate 4 coming into exact contact with the plane surface 11 during the assembly of the measuring device of the measuring device is not a purely coincidental one from the multitude of possibilities.
For an exact measurement or setting result, the general requirement is that the contact between the assembly body and the measuring device must be exact along a certain surface that must not be parallel to the swivel plane of the machine tool head. It is best if the contact occurs along a plane lying approximately perpendicular to the pivot plane.
This is now achieved in the game Ausführungsbei described in an ideal manner. The critical contact planes on the assembly body and on the measuring device are actually approximately perpendicular to the swivel plane of the machine tool head and, since they are free flat surfaces (and not side surfaces of grooves), can be machined extremely precisely. The fact that these critical contact areas are also relatively large (main contact areas) is another advantage.
The alignment of these essentially free planar surfaces parallel to the support movement direction or the spindle axis also allows the above-described simple, exact control of the vertical position of the support movement direction or spindle axis with respect to the table plane at the 90 -setting of the angle encoder. It can therefore be said that high levels of accuracy of the measurement or
Setting and favorable adjustment conditions are available when the contact between the mounting body and the angle measuring device along essentially free plane surfaces he follows, which are perpendicular to the pivot plane of the machine tool head and parallel to the support movement direction or spindle axis.
Accordingly, in machine tools that do not allow the arrangement of a mounting plate on the side surface of the swivel head due to lack of space, a mounting bracket 29 is attached to the end face 28 of the same, as can be seen from FIG. 7, which in turn makes contact with the angle measuring device 5 takes place along a plane surface 30 which is perpendicular to the pivot plane of the machine tool head and parallel to the support movement direction or spindle axis.
The detachable connection of the angle encoder with the assembly body can also be done by magnetic attraction. For example, the mounting plate 4 can be a permanent magnet and the intermediate plate 10 of the angle measuring device can consist of ferromagnetic material. If the magnetic forces are strong enough, as is the case with the bayonet lock, the critical contact surfaces between the measuring device and the assembly body are perfectly supported.
In the exemplary embodiments shown so far, the incidence of light to the optics of the angle measuring device 5 took place through the tube 20 from above. If, however, the angle measuring device 5, as shown in Fig. 8, is arranged on the downward facing side 3 of the support 1, then it is useful to attach the measuring device 5 with the tube 20 down on the mounting plate.
The device can be arranged in almost all machine tools with a pivoting head, z. B. with planing machines, hobbing machines, portal milling machines, drilling machines and the like. There just needs to be enough space on the vertically pivoting Spindelköp fen or supports for the fastening of the assembly body.
