Trockenvorrichtung.
Drying device. The invention relates to a drying device. The device according to the invention is characterized by plate-shaped heat radiation elements which are connected to a heat source for heating through a line system in which a heat transfer medium circulates and which at least partially form channels for the gas to be guided along. The heat transfer medium can be liquid or vapor.
The heat radiation elements can be designed as hollow bodies through which the heat carrier flows, or they can be designed as plates, on one side of which tubes for guiding the heat carrier are welded. Means for maintaining a gas flow can be provided along the dry material. A heating system can be used to heat this gas. The channels for the supply of the gas to be led along the dry material can be designed such that the gas, for. B. air is blown ge at certain points against the dry material.
The channels for the supply of the gas can be formed in that the radiation elements are arranged at a distance from one another. Means can be provided which allow the dry material to be guided past the heat radiation elements.
The use of plate-shaped heat radiation elements, which are heated by a heat transfer medium, offers compared to electric radiators, such as. B. infrared lamps, the advantage that the radiation area can be heated evenly. As a result of the even temperature distribution on the radiant surface, the object to be dried can then also be heated evenly.
A circulating heat transfer medium can be kept at a desired temperature without difficulty, so that the risk of local overheating, which could damage the dry material, can be avoided. This gives the possibility of the radiation surface on a desired for an economical drying short distance to dry nenden object, z. B. a panel to approach.
The use of plate-shaped jet elements allows a particularly simple design of dryers in which a gas, e.g. B. air, the dry material. should be led along. Since this gas is heated at the radiating elements, it may be possible to dispense with a special heat exchanger for the volume heating of the gas.
Another advantage is that dust is deposited on your dry goods. on the heat radiation elements, which can lead to overheating and thus to the decomposition of the dust and explosions, can be largely avoided.
When the air at the feed points. is directed against the dry material, you achieve a thorough ventilation of the same. An embodiment of the subject invention is shown on the drawing simplified.
A moist web of fabric 1, e.g. B. a Pa pier web should be dried. For this purpose, it is passed over a rotating drum 2, which is arranged opposite a number of radiation elements 3. The radiation elements are plate-shaped, and a heat carrier is passed through their cavity.
The heat carrier can be a liquid, such as. B. water under atmospheric pressure or under elevated pressure, or a liquid with a high boiling temperature.
Instead of a liquid, a vaporous heat transfer medium can be used, which emits its heat in the radiation elements with condensation and then flows back to the heat source as condensate.
The heat carrier is fed to the radiation elements 3 in a manner not shown from a heat source through a line. After flowing through the elements, the heat transfer medium returns to the heat source through a second line. The elements 3 can be connected in parallel, in groups or individually in series. The radiation elements can also be connected to the heat source in such a way that they have different temperatures depending on the needs of the drying process. It can e.g.
B. those elements that irradiate the fabric first, have a higher Tem temperature than those elements that irradiate the fabric later or last. The intensity of the heating of the fabric web by the various elements can also be set differently in that the radiation elements are arranged at different distances from the object to be dried, in this case from the fabric web. It would also be possible to attach the radiation elements in such a way that the distance from the fabric web can be changed during the drying process.
The elements 3 are arranged at a distance from one another that channels 4 remain free between them. Through these channels, in the sense of the arrows shown, air from the rate 5 is blown into the space located between the radiation elements and the fabric web in such a way that it first strikes the fabric web and then flows along the same. The air required for this is sucked in from the open air through an opening 6,
first passed through a heat exchanger 7 and then introduced into the jacket 10 with means of the fan 8 through the lines 9. The used air flows through the lines 11 into the heat exchanger 7, releases the heat absorbed by the heating elements 3 to the freshly sucked in air and is finally led back into the open by means of the fan 12 through the line 13.
If the drying process allows or heiseht, some of the air can be routed back into the Frisehluftkanal through the diversion 14, so that an air circuit is created, to which only a part of the amount is discharged through the line 13, which is from the outside supplied amount is replaced again. By means of a series of flaps 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 built into the lines 11, 13 and 14, the individual partial quantities can be set so that the drying can be carried out with the best efficiency.
Care must be taken to ensure that the moisture content of the fresh air and the circulating air are in the most favorable relationship to one another. At the same time, the air velocities can be adjusted to the most favorable drying effect when inflating onto the fabric and when removing it from the fabric.
Of course, all possible objects can be dried in the manner described, in particular webs of fabric, e.g. B. paper webs or textile webs. The radiation elements could also be arranged on both sides of the web to be dried. The web does not necessarily have to be guided around a rotating cylinder, it could also be guided around a reel or stretched past the radiators. It would also be possible to guide the fabric web freely through a channel delimited on both sides by radiation elements, which is advantageously arranged vertically.
In this case, the length of fabric is evenly irradiated from both sides. Air can also be supplied from both sides. For very thin lengths of material, e.g. B. with gauze or tulle, the drying air can be guided from one side through the fabric to the other. It is also possible to dry objects that are not in the form of a web, but as individual pieces on the moving belt past the radiation bodies. Finally, larger pieces in particular can also be periodically introduced into the device for drying and taken out of the same again so that they remain stationary during drying or are moved on a rotary table in front of the radiators.
The air can cause additional heating of the items to be dried, especially at the beginning of the drying process. Particularly in the case of an advanced process, however, it would also be possible to cool the drying material with the air introduced in order to prevent its surface from overheating. It would also be possible, at the beginning of the drying process, to direct the very moist air against the dried material in order to prevent the surface from drying out too much.
Of course, gases other than air can also be used for drying.
