Device for cooling electrical lyIase hines The invention relates to a device for cooling electrical machines by means of cooling air flowing in on the back of the laminated core.
According to the invention, the cooling channels arranged on the back of the laminated core are narrowed starting from the two end faces of the laminated core, so that the cooling air has its maximum speed at the back of that part of the laminated core in which the heating is greatest.
In the following the invention will be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment. In the figure, an asynchronous motor is provided, the shaft of which is denoted by 1. is the rotor of the machine, which is traversed by axial cooling channels 3. 4 means the stator iron core attached to the ribs 5 of the housing 6. Between the housing jacket 6, the ribs 5 and the stator core 4 there are spaces 7 through which cooling air can flow. The housing jacket is tied to the middle part of the stator iron core 4 in such a way that the spaces 7 forming the cooling channels are considerably narrower in the middle part of the iron core than on both sides of the iron core.
The building shell is designed in such a way that the transition from the larger cross-section to the smaller cross-section takes place gradually so that the air enters without the formation of eddies, which causes an increased resistance in the air flow. The narrowing of the cooling air ducts 7 causes an extraordinary increase in the cooling air speed, which improves the heat dissipation at the central parts of the stator core.
As a result of the design of the cooling channels described, it can be achieved that the laminated cores have approximately the same temperature over their entire length. To further improve the cooling, radial cooling channels 13 are also provided in the iron stacks of the rotor and stator in a manner known per se. After exiting the rotor, the air flows through the radial channels in the stator and into the cooling channels 7 between the stator back and the machine housing. These channels are most advantageously arranged so that they open into the enlarged part of the cooling channels arranged on the back of the sheet metal body.
This is the only way for the radial cooling channels to increase the heat dissipation from the laminated core, because they can only flow through a larger amount of cooling air if the flow speed of the cooling air in the adjacent part of the cooling channels on the back of the laminated core is low .
The above-explained Luftfüh tion in channels that border on the back of a laminated core can be used in the same way as with the stand of the machine and with a rotor. The invention can be applied to all machines, e.g. B. can also be used in transformers.
