Fesselzange.
Bondage forceps. The subject of the present invention is a shackle forceps, with two hinges rotatably mounted in a housing, each with at least one recess, and a handle attached to the housing, as well as with a rod slidably mounted in the housing, under spring action, on which a latch and a locking button are attached, and on which a spring-loaded locking piece is slidably mounted, the whole thing in such a way that the pliers are secured in the open state by the pawl, and that when the locking button is pressed, the locking shackle itself actively closes, the closed position , resp. Closed positions,
by engaging the locking piece in each one of the recesses provided on each striker is secured.
On the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention is shown.
Fig. 1 is a front view of the same, partly in section, showing the forceps in an open position; Figure 2 is the same but shows the pliers in the closed position; Fig. 3 is a cross section through the open forceps and Fig. 4 is a cross section through the empty housing.
The restraint forceps shown has two straps a, each of which has two recesses that are denoted by n and zt. Each striker is rotatably mounted by means of a screw s provided in the housing i. Furthermore, a rod / z is slidably mounted in the housing i. A latch c and a lock button k are attached to the rod. A locking piece b, which is under the action of a spring d and in which a pin f 'is provided, is also slidably mounted on the rod.
The rod h is under the action of a spring e which tends to move the rod together with the locking button and latch against the mouth of the pliers. The handle g is attached to the housing i.
The mode of operation of the pliers shown is as follows: If the open pliers are to be placed on a prisoner, the pliers are pressed against the wrist in such a way that the same has to exert a pressure on the locking button. This brings the latch r. out of engagement with the strikers a which are thereby released so that the spring d can move the locking piece b such ver that it engages with the recesses n, respectively. et comes depending on the thickness of the wrist.
Of course, more than two depressions can also be provided so that the forceps automatically adapt to any wrist thickness. As soon as the locking piece is in engagement with the depressions n respectively. u comes, the shackles remain locked in such a way that the inmate cannot open the pliers.
If the pliers are now to be opened, the pin f is shifted against the mouth of the pliers, whereby the locking piece b out of engagement with the depressions iz respectively. u comes, so that the spring e can come into effect, which now moves the pawl c against the mouth of the pliers, whereby the Sehliessbügel are opened, and come into engagement with the pawl c, whereby the open position is secured.
