Abstract
A method of taking an alcoholic order on a mobile app and confirming legal age of the user, authentication of government personal identification and dispatches the driver nearest to the liquor store in relation to the customer to conduct alcohol delivery.
Description
AGE VERIFYING ALCOHOL DELIVERY SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to alcohol delivery. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to algorithms verifying customer age and ID authentication through digital means and dispatching drivers for alcohol delivery. The process is detailed below as well as an illustrated process. The drawing attached to this document shows all the variables being exchanged through the algorithms.
A customer will browse through the contents of a liquor store on either a website application or mobile application. When the customer decides on an order they will carry on and place the order by confirming with a button. The mobile app will request user location.
As per step 1 of the diagram, the order and the user location will be sent to the Age/ID
verification algorithm, will request the user to scan their government personal identification through a third-party application program interface (API). Once the identification is scanned, the third-party software would verify the identification with various security features such as microprint, known forgeries, holograms, layout, font and image manipulation.
Customer face is compared to the picture on the identification and then a biometrical facial recognition ensure that the customer is actually present.
When the API completes a successful verification, it will return a variable confirming that the user is indeed of legal age. The mobile app will carry on and send confirmation of age, the order plus the user location to the dispatch algorithm as per step 2.
The dispatch algorithm will find closest liquor store with the order in their stock in relation to the customer. The algorithm will find closest 25 drivers based on distance.
The algorithm will send the closest 25 drivers to a third-party API. The third party API
will return the time it takes for the driver to the store based on time which takes into consideration traffic as well as road conditions. The algorithm will find the driver with the least amount of orders as well as the fastest route to the liquor store and return that driver as an output.
Once the driver picks up the order from the liquor store, they will confirm on the mobile app that they have picked up the order. The mobile app send the current location of the driver as well as the location of the customer to the third-party API. The API will return the fastest route from the driver location to the customer location to the mobile application.
The driver will follow the path in the mobile application to the customer's home and then drop off the order.
Third party API returns a route, dispatch algorithm will take this route and send it to the driver as per step 3. The driver will use this route to delivery the alcohol to the customer.

Claims (2)
1. Use of algorithms that scans a government personal identification and the user's face in real time and use third-party Application Program Interface (API) to determine that the user is of legal age and that the user's method of personal identification is authentic for the purpose of alcohol delivery through a mobile application.
2. The method of claim 1 further comprising:
In the response of confirming that the user is indeed of legal age, mobile application will send a desired order from user to a computer server database. Server scripts will use algorithms that conduct vehicle dispatching based on geolocation returned by mobile devices as well as inputs from users which use third-party API to determine the most expedient route for the purposes of alcohol delivery through a mobile application.
