Description

LIGHT EMITTING ALL WEATHER UMBRELLA
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
(a) Field of the Invention The present invention is related to an all weather umbrella, and more particularly, to a light emitting all weather umbrella.
(b) Description of the Prior Art:
People today care very much about their leisure lifestyle.
Weekends help prosperous development of leisure industry and tourism to while creating more new business opportunities. Mobile coffee shops and mobile dinning cars are seen in most of the scenic sports in the mountains or along t:he beach. Most of the mobile coffee shops or dinning cars are provided with tables, chairs, or an all weather umbrella to fend away rain or sunshine that allow easy erection for the tourists to sit on having a sip of coffee or a dinner while appreciating the view around. In downtown, open coffee shop or dinning tables are provided on both sides of the street exclusively for the pedestrians for the consumers to sip a c;up of coffee or have a bite while browsing the versatile views of the street.
2o Sitting on the seats in the open to have a cup of coffee or a dinner alone, or have small talks with friends, gives the total different atmosphere from that experienced indoors. Additional to the wider view without being limited by the internal space of a building, changes in the nature, the clear bright skies, the breeze touching the face in the evening, a5 and all the stars flashing in the dark skies, all makes one to rid off the pressure from the busy work hours and genuinely enjoy easy and refreshing time.
Even so, the lighting problem could be a frustration. City power may be very popular today; it may not be available in some areas in the 3o mountains, by the seashore, scenic sports, or many other places in the wide-open remote areas. During night hours, owners of those mobile coffee shops and dinning cars have to rely upon self provided generators.
A generator may solve the problem, but it is a quire heavy equipment to prevent easy handling and the light intensity is very limited.
s Furthermore, the owner has to prepare sufficient fuel to keep the generator running. 'The combustion of fuel creates pollution to the air and the noise from the running generator also presents a public nuisance to totally destroy the tranquility and wonderful otherwise expected in a romantic night.
to SIJMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a light emitting, all weather umbrella to provide the sufficient lighting and screening functions ai: the same time.
is Another purpo,~e of the present invention is to provide a light emitting, all weather umbrella adapted with a retractable lighting equipment, a rechargeable power source permitting use during daytime or night hours.
Another purpose yet of the present invention is to provide a light a o emitting, all weather umbrella that delivers diversified visual effects by the combination of flight sources of different colors and hollowed to transmit various patterns of light depending on the occasion.
To achieve the purpose, the present invention includes a frame of umbrella, and a light-emitting module in a shank of the umbrella. The as light-emitting module is essentially comprised of a light source to transmit the light through hollowed openings disposed on the shank.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED
EMBODIMENTS
to The present invention provides an all weather umbrella with light emitting function adalpted w ith a r echargeable p ower s ource t o p rovide sufficient light any tirr~e and anywhere without relying upon a generator.
Referring to Fiig. 1 for a schematic view of a first preferred embodiment of the present invention, a umbrella 10 is essentially 15 comprised of a frame 20 and a light-emitting module 40. The frame 20 includes a shank 22 and multiple ribs and spreaders 26 respectively pivoted to those ribs to spread up the canopy 24. A space 28 is disposed in the middle section of the shank 22 to accommodate the light-emitting module 40. As illustrated in Fig. 2, the shank 22 is made of transparent 2 o material to permit thf; transmission of the light from the light-emitting module 40; or alternative, one or multiple light permeable openings 30 is provided on the peripheral wall of the accommodation space 28.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic view of the construction of the light-emitting m odule 4 0. As i llustrated, t he light-emitting module 40 25 essentially includes .a see-through casing 42 and a light source 44 contained in the casing 42. Whereas the light source 44 is usually fragile and massive heat will be generated by the active light source 44, the light source 44 nf;eds the casing 42 to protect. A power source 46 connected to the light; source 44 is adapted to the light-emitting module 30 40 to provide the power needed by the light source 44. A control switch 48 is connected to the power source 46 to control the activation of the light source 44 and adjust the dimness of the light. To facilitate the use, the power source 46 may be referred to a battery generally available in the market, or a rechargeable cell, and is connected to a recharging device s 50 for the power source 46 to accumulate electricity for increasing its service life and improve its efficacy.
The light-emitting module 40 is made retractable in the present invention to compromise the fact that the outdoor umbrella is usually in larger size than the average one. The user may install the light-emitting to module 40 in the shank 22 during the evening or the night falls. During daylight, the light-emitting module 40 is removed and recharged for the subsequent use.
The light emission is given versatile changes as desired in the present invention. The light source 44 may be related to a fluorescent 15 lamp, a 1 fight b ulb, or an LED in different colors for creating different atmosphere. Furthermore, the opening 30 on the peripheral wall of the accommodation space 28 in the shank 22 to permit transmission of light may be designed in various patterns. Other than the strip design as illustrated in Fig. l, t'he opening 30 may be designed as a circular hole as a o illustrated in Fig. 4. The light transmitted through the opening 30 may present various effecta to create diversified visual sense through different patterns, such as decorative design or animal design, and the light source 44 can be made rotating to give dynamite presentation.
The present invention while solving the lighting problem found a5 with the prior art significantly promotes the range of application since the sufficient lighting is available during daytime or night hours, free of noisy generator and odors from burning fuel, allowing the creation of diversified atnuosphere, and thus the more excellent living space.
The prevent invention provides an all weather umbrella with light 3 o emitting function, and the application for a utility patent is duly filed accordingly. However, it is to be noted that that the preferred embodiments disclosed in the specification and the accompanying drawings are not limitiing the present invention; and that any construction, installation, or characteristics that is same or similar to that of the present invention should fall within the scope of the purposes and claims of the present invention.
