Abstract
MÉTODO DE ADAPTAR UM PROCESSO DE INDEXAÇÃO DE ACESSO UNIFORME COM UMA MEMÓRIA DE ACESSO NÃO UNIFORME E SISTEMA DE COMPUTADOR. A presente invenção refere-se a um método e aparelho para construir um índice que é escalado em um grande número de registros e provê uma alta taxa de transmissão. Estruturas de dados e métodos novos são providos para assegurar que um algoritmo de indexação seja executado em uma maneira que é natural (eficiente) ao algoritmo, enquanto um dispositivo de memória de acesso não-uniforme detecta o tráfego IO (entrada/saída) que é eficiente para o dispositivo de memória. É criada uma estrutura de dados, isto é, uma tabela de tradução, que mapeia depósitos lógicos, conforme detectado pelo algoritmo de indexação nos depósitos físicos no dispositivo de memória. Este mapeamento é tal que o desempenho de gravação é intensificado em dispositivos flash e SSD de acesso não-uniforme. Outra estrutura de dados, isto é, uma cache associativo, é usada para coletar depósitos e gravá-los sequencialmente no dispositivo de memória como grandes gravações sequenciais. Métodos são usados para povoar o cache com depósitos (de registros) que são exigidos pelo algoritmo de indexação. Depósitos adicionais podem ser lidos do dispositivos de memória no cache durante uma leitura por demanda, ou por um processo de acesso sem autorização, para facilitar a geração de blocos de apagamento livres.
