Abstract

"PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA SE IDENTIFICAR UM TIPO DE MATERIAL EM UM ARTIGO, E, USO DOS MESMOS". Um processo e um aparelho para se identificar um tipo de material em um artigo (20; 21), tal como uma garrafa de plástico ou de vidro totalmente ou parcialmente transparente, que inclui, com o auxílio de uma estação de detecção (1 - 16, 18, 19, 25), irradiar-se o artigo com raios provenientes de uma fonte de radiação infra vermelha (1), detectar-se os raios não absorvidos que passaram pelo artigo, e efetuar-se então uma análise de correlação desses raios detectados. Faz-se com que o artigo passe através da estação de detecção (1 - 16, 18, 19, 25) em um movimento contínuo ou descontínuo. Os raios provenientes da fonte de radiação (1) são sucessivamente filtrados por meio de filtros (10) que consistem de materiais totalmente ou parcialmente transparentes e que têm diferentes características espectrais. Os raios filtrados pelo filtro e não absorvidos pelo artigo são interceptados, de modo a se formar uma seq³ência de valores medidos que represente assinaturas de transmissão características do artigo. Efetua-se uma análise de correlação das assinaturas em relação a modelos estatísticos, de modo a se determinar o tipo de material do artigo.
