"ESTABELECIMENTO AUTOMáTICO DE ENDEREçABILIDADE DE UM DISPOSITIVO DE REDE PARA UM AMBIENTE DE REDE ALVO". A invenção refere-se a aparelhos e métodos que são providos para um aprovisionamento de dispositivo de rede remoto, automatizado e seguro por uma rede de comunicações preexistente. The invention relates to apparatus and methods that are provided for automated and secure remote network device provisioning by a pre-existing communications network. According to one embodiment, an addressability establishment of a network device is supported for a target network environment. A load time process of a network device in a factory default configuration detects the presence of a storage device containing addressable data there which allows the network device to communicate and be addressable in the target network environment. Upon detection of the presence of the storage device, the network device receives addressability data from the storage device using a communication protocol associated with the storage device. Finally, the network device addressability is established to allow it to communicate with and be addressed by other nodes in the target network environment by configuring one or more network device address parameters based on the addressability data.
