Abstract
"MéTODO PARA GERENCIAMENTO DE MEMóRIA CACHE EM UM RECEPTOR, E, APARELHO RECEPTOR PARA RECEBER UM SINAL". Em um receptor DSM-CC (12), um sinal compreendendo diversas seções de dados repetidas periodicamente é recebido. Meios de armazenagem (14) são providos para colocar em memória cache as seções de dados incluidas no sinal (13) onde o ato de acessar a uma seção de dados resulta em uma referência sendo criada, esta referência sendo removida ao não ser mais acessada. Uma contagem de referência é mantida para cada seção de dados, de tal modo que uma seção de dados é marcada para deleção se sua contagem de referência cai a zero. Há um aspecto adicional onde os meios de armazenagem (14) são desfragmentados notando as seções de dados que estão sendo referenciadas e, então, em alguma ordem, compactando estas seções de dados referenciadas, re-locando-as juntas em uma parte do meio de armazenagem (14) e atualizando os valores dos apontadores que se referiram as células movidas.
