<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
La table ou le meuble portant le plateau figurant le terrain peut être en bois,matière plastique ou toute autre matière @@n@enable, elle comprend;, de préférence;, trois corps,un corps inférieur formant bâti et portant les pieds de support, un corps Intermédiaire dans lequel sont montes tous les organes électriques et mécaniques, et un corps supé- rieur formant un couvercle transparent;

;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
Sur le @g. 2, l'un des sujets ou joueurs 6a de l'équipe a est représente et'). fond de l'un des creux 7 prévus dans le dessus 2de la table;
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

The present invention relates to a football game comprising a table, representing a field, on which twenty-two subjects divided into two-teams of eleven players actuated respectively by two opponents, are positioned so as to throw a ball towards the ground. goal defended by the opposing team; twenty of these subjects are fixed on the table but have an articulated leg which is thrown forward by an electromagnetic control in order to throw the ball towards the opposing goal, the other two subjects, representing the goalkeepers, being arranged from way to move, under the action of a mechanical control in front of the goal that they must split in order to prevent the ball from entering it.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The ten @@ in is not flat but presents, on the contrary a series of bumps and hollows, these twenty in number, arranged so that the ball always comes to a stop in one of the holes. them, and a subject, hinged leg} mounted in each of. these hollows so that the end of its movable foot is located just behind the stopped ball. Each movable foot of a subject carries below an extension crossing the table, in a slot of which it moves, and behind this extension, in relation to the direction of movement of this foot, is mounted an electro magnet of the plunger type, the end of the plunger striking this extension to project the subject's foot forward when the electromagnet is energized.
According to an important feature of the invention, the ten electromagnets actuating the legs of the ten players of the same team are connected in series and with a control push button so that each opponent playing a game can simultaneously actuate his ten players in pressing the push button it has.
According to another feature of the invention, the two push-buttons actuating the players are of a type such that they allow a more or less significant current to pass depending on their degree of depression, or the pressure exerted on them, this which allows each opponent to vary his action on the ball to allow him to pass from one of his players to another.
According to another feature of the invention, the goalkeeper of each team moves on a trajectory in an arc of a circle, in front of and in the immediate vicinity of its goal, and for this purpose, it is fixed on ur.e end of a lever pivoting in the middle around a vertical axis and the other of which

end for a control handle located outside -IL and 8. Indisposition of one of the opponents.
Behind the goalkeeper is provided a concave groove which receives the ball thrown by the foot of a player of the opposing team who scores a goal, and a piston or a shutter actuated by an electromagnet, under the control of 'another push-button, then returns the ball to the field to be returned to or.
The table or the piece of furniture carrying the top representing the field can be made of wood, plastic or any other material @@ n @ enable, it comprises ;, preferably ;, three bodies, a lower body forming a frame and carrying the support legs , an Intermediate body in which all the electrical and mechanical components are mounted, and an upper body forming a transparent cover;
glass or plastic material, through which one observes the progress of the game and prevents directly acting on the ball. The subjects depicted by the players can be of any suitable material and can present different attitudes and be painted so as to give the illusion of j real players,
which is easy since the entire control mechanism of their ball kicking foot is hidden under the table. The ball, the dimensions of which are obviously in proportion to those of the subjects, can be made of insulating material, for example plastic; since it has no electrical contact to ensure.
The apparatus is equipped with a device enabling it to be put into service for a predetermined period corresponding to that of a part; which may be pre-paid, and which automatically connects the device to the power supply source for this predetermined time.

The description which will follow with regard to the appended drawing, given by way of non-limiting example, will clearly explain how the invention can be implemented, the particularities which emerge both from the drawing and from the text, of course being , part of said invention.
Fig. l is a schematic perspective view of a soccer game according to the invention.
;
Fig. 2 is a partial vertical section of the table to the right of a player, showing the player's control mechanism.
Fig. 3 is a diagram of the electrical connections that can be used in one embodiment of the invention.
In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the entire apparatus comprises a table or a piece of furniture, wood or any other suitable material, formed of three bodies: a lower body 1, provided with feet 1 'and forming the support frame, a median body 2, the upper face 2 'of which forms the playing field with its goals 3 and its boundary strips and carries the twenty-two players of the two teams; finally, an upper body 4 fitting onto the intermediate body 2 and carrying a transparent cover 5 made of glass or plastic.
The face 2 'of the table shows the ground has a series of bumps and hollows, the latter twenty in number, so that the ball cannot come to rest at any point on the ground. In each of these hollows is fixed a subject with articulated leg 6a or 6b, the ten subjects of each team a and b facing the opposing goal, or being directed towards another player of the same team, and placed as seen on fig.l where those of each team are represented by a symbol specific to each of them.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
On the @g. 2, one of the subjects or players 6a of team a is represented and '). bottom of one of the recesses 7 provided in the top 2 of the table;
on which it is fixed. @ a screw 80 This player has his right leg 9 articulated on u @@@@@ e
10 and under its foot 12, an extension 12 is provided which moves in a slot 13 of the per @ endicular table in the direction of the axis 10. Behind the extension 12, an electro-aimnt with plunger 14 is fixed under the table using a suitable support 15,
and the plunger 16 of this electromagnet is subjected to the action of a return spring 17 which, by means of an appropriate lever 18, maintains it partly outside the coil of said electromagnet when the latter is 'est pes excited., The front end of the plunger 16 carries a cleat 18 n filter, leather; hard rubber or other, intended to cushion the impact of the plunger against the extension 12.
It can be seen that when the current passes through the coil 14 of the electromagnet, the plunger is moved more or less rapidly, in the direction of the arrow F, against the action of the spring 17, according to the intensity passing through said coil? and that the cleat 19 of the plunger 'coming into contact with the extension 12 projects the latter forward; the articulated leg 9 of the subject then pivots around the axis 10 and the foot It throws the ball 20 towards the opposing goal, or towards a teammate, when the said ball is in the hollow 7 as shown. felt in fig. 2.
When the weight of the jamoe 9 and of the extension 12 is sufficient, this weight alone can intervene to bring the leg and the extension 12 into the feeding position facing the plunger 16, we can add, if necessary, a spring of torsion wrapped around axis 10.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
Each of the goalkeepers 6a1 and 6bl move. this ,, in front of the goal 3 which it defends, along. a circular trajectory situated in front of and near this goal so that each opponent playing with a team can have the ball intercepted by his keeper if necessary. For this purpose a lever 21 is articulated, under. the table at an intermediate point of its length around a vertical axis 24, and one of its operating handle ends 22 passes outwardly through a slot in the body 2 '. The other end of the lever 21 carries the subject forming a goalkeeper 6a1 or 6bl which is fixed there by an appropriate assembly so as to have his feet just at the level of the field 2 '.
This assembly moves in a circular slot 23 having as its center the articulation axis 24 of the lever 21.
Each of the two opponents has to maneuver his team, in addition to the handle 22, two push-buttons 25 and 26 controlling the electro-magnetic members which are connected as will now be described with reference to FIG. 3.
In this figure 3 the players are represented only by their control electromagnets 14a and 14b according to the team to which they belong, and it can be seen that each team includes in addition to the goalkeeper (not shown) a line of front players, a line of center players and a back line, the different player lines: of one team being separated by a line of players from the other team in order to allow each opponent to regain control. ball in play if his ability allows it.
In each group of ten electromagnets 14a and 14b, these are connected in series with the corresponding push-button 25a or 25b at the terminals of a contactor whose contacts 27 can
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
be read back to the current supply line 28 through the fuses 29 by a prepayment device of known type.
In the scheme of FIG. 3, this device, which 'does not form part of the invention and is described here only to clarify ideas, comprises a relay 30 whose closing is controlled by the introduction of a coin or a coin. I introduce your 31 into the slot of a corridor 32 and which, under the a @ tion of a clockwork mechanism, keeps its contact 33 closed for a predetermined period of time. Cn sees on the figure that when the token 31 goes down in the corridor 32 it bypasses the conductors 33 and 34 normally isolated during the time of its fall.
to the coin box not shown. 0 Relay 30 is therefore energized for a short time by source circuit 28, conductor 36, relay 30, conductors 37, 34, 35 and 38 connected to the other terminal of source 28. Contact 33 is thus closed and it is kept closed by the clockwork mechanism when the token 8 has crossed the corridor 32.
The contact 33 of the relay 30 is mounted in the circuit comprising the coil 39 of the contactor 27 connecting the apparatus to the current source 28, so that this contactor closes and remains closed as long as the contact 33 is kept closed. by the clock mechanism.
As has been said previously, the pushbuttons 25 and 25b are of a type making it possible to vary the intensity of the current in :( circuit which they control according to the degree of their depression or the pressure exerted on them As a non-limiting example, FIG. 3 shows a possible embodiment of these push-buttons.
Each of them comprises a rod of insulating material 40 carrying a metollic contact 41, which rod is biased by a spring 42 in its external position for which it makes.
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
protrusion as far as possible on the cover or upper body 4 of the device. The movable contact 41 is guided in any suitable way (not shown) between a fixed contact bar 43 and a resistor 44 so that the value of the resistance introduced into the circuit varies with the degree of depression of the rod 40. of push-button 25.
As can be seen in the diagram of FIG. 39 the two resistors 44 are connected by the conductor 45 to one of the poles of the contactor 27 and the two fixed contacts 43 are respectively connected to the ten electros in series associated with the push button 25a or 25b of the team concerned, as well as 'it is represented by the dotted lines for team a, and in phantom for team b. The outputs of the last electrics of each team are connected together at 46 and by conductor 47 to the second pole of contactor 27.
When one of the opponents has scored a goal, the ball which has entered the opposing team's net is retained in a groove provided on the intermediate body 2 of the table behind the goalkeeper (not shown on the drawing). The ball can then be put back into play by a shutter or a piston actuated by an electromagnet 48a or 48b excited under the control of the second push-button 26a or 26b at the disposal of each of the opponents, which has been mentioned above. above.
The movement of the piston or the tilting of the shutter pushes the ball, stopped in the aforementioned groove, in the direction of the center of the field and as a result of the configuration of the latter it automatically comes to be placed in front of a player's foot. so that the game can continue.
On the pin 3 each of the push-buttons 26 activating an electromagnet 48 for putting the ball back into play is connected by the conductor 45 to one of the poles of the contactor 27 and the outputs of the two electromagnets are united in 49 and
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
at the second contactor pole 27 by means of a signaling device 50 light and / or sound announcing the resumption of the game = This device is not essential and could be removed, and we could in its place, or . in addition, provide individual counters recording the number of points scored by each of the two competing opponents.
It goes without saying that modifications can be made to the football game which has just been described, in particular by substituting equivalent technical means, without going beyond the scope of the present invention. One could for example, instead of ensuring the control of the goalkeepers by a simple pivoting lever, provide a linkage making it possible to have the control handle 22 on the side of the apparatus instead of having it in the middle of each end. the layout of the players on the pitch could be different from that shown in Figures 1 and 3; likewise the locations of the push-buttons which preferably protrude in the middle and on one of the sides of the upper body 4 could be mounted at any place considered more suitable.
