Cette description se référe au dessin ci-annexé dans lequel ;
La figure 1 est une vue du porte-monnaie déployé, le volet étant fermé;
La figo 2 est une vue analogue, le volet étant à demi-ouvert;
La fig. 3 est une coupe suivant la ligne III-III de la figo 1;
La fig. 4 est une coupe suivant la ligne IV-IV de la figo 2 ;
La figo 5 représente une variante du porte-monnaie;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

We know of purses comprising: a cover which can be opened by: folding it down 180, and which is provided with a rim intended to retain the coins, from which it results that one can sliding said coins by gravity from the inside of the purse on said cover, where they are then spread out and where they can be conveniently chosen.
According to the known art, the edges are perpendicular to the plane of the cover, which makes it necessary to give the purse a certain thickness which makes it relatively bulky.
The present invention relates to a purse and more generally a receptal such as a tobacco pouch for example, of the extremely flat type opening in two by unfolding, and where one of the two halves thus unfolded serves as a pocket for the contents, while the second half is provided on the edges of its internal face with a flat rim connecting to the internal wall of the pocket of the first half and serving to retain the contents when it is slid by gravity, said second half of the purse having the appearance of a pocket having a large opening on its internal face.
According to the essential characteristic of the invention,
the wallet or receptacle comprises a movable flap which can completely close the wide opening of the second half of the purse or receptacle.
According to a first embodiment, the movable shutter is mounted to slide under the flat edges *? So as to allow the easy closing or release of the opening of the second half of the wallet or receptacle. Preferably, the sliding flap can be retracted into the pocket of the first half, and it is advantageously connected to the bottom of this pocket by a flexible fabric.
According to a second embodiment, the movable shutter is mounted articulated on one of its edges and is closed by a press-stud or by any equivalent closure, a slide closure for example.
Other features particular to the invention will become apparent on reading the description which has been given below purely as an indication and in no way limiting, of a preferred embodiment of a purse as well as of a variant.
This description refers to the accompanying drawing in which;
Figure 1 is a view of the wallet deployed, the shutter being closed;
Figo 2 is a similar view, the shutter being half-open;
Fig. 3 is a section taken along line III-III of FIG. 1;
Fig. 4 is a section taken along line IV-IV of FIG. 2;
Figo 5 represents a variant of the purse;
Fig. 6 represents the folded purse.
The purse shown in the drawing is quadrangular in shape with rounded corners. It is designed to also serve as a bill holder. Its bottom 1 is lined for this purpose by a second bottom 2 sewn on only three sides so as to form a pocket 3 intended to receive banknotes.
A quadrangular piece of leather 10 is sewn flat on the internal face of one of the halves of the bottom 1 so that this half of the purse constitutes a pocket intended to contain the coins.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
This part 10 is sewn along three sides 13,14,15, and has a part 10a projecting slightly over the other half of the bottom 1.
On the inner face of the other side of the bottom 1 is sewn flat a rim 4, along the three edges 5,6, and 7. This rim is intended to retain the coins 9 when the purse is deployed. (see fig. 2). This half of the purse has the appearance of a pocket having a large opening 4a.
The rim 4 is connected to the part 10a of the part 10 by two seams 17 and 18. But the seam 19 which can be seen connecting the seams 17 and 18 is only a simple hem seam of the part 10 The latter is not sewn to the bottom 1 ce; this this side The piece 10 and the rim 4% Can be in one piece in which the opening 4a is cut.
Between the part 10 and the bottom 1 is disposed flat a leather flap 20, of substantially quadrangular shape, one of the sides of the flap 20 is connected by a fabric 21 to the seam along the edge 14 of the purse.
The opposite side of this flap 20 is provided with a tongue 23 framed by two steps 24, of rounded shape so that they do not constitute a tear initiation.
The shutter 20 thus formed can slide freely between the bottom 1 on the one hand and the assembly of the piece 10 and the rim 4 on the other hand.
When it has been pulled fully by the tongue 23, this flap 20 is in the position shown in figso 1 and 3: the. * Two steps 24 have their bottom in contact with the rim 4, the tongue 23 being on the rim 4 while the rest of the corresponding edge of the shutter is below this rim, so that the opening 4a is perfectly closed thanks to this overlap. As for the fabric 21, it is stretched between the part 10 and the bottom 1 of the purse.
When the flap 20 has been pushed back towards the seam 14 (see figs. 2 and 4), the fabric 21 is pleated between the part 10 and the bottom 1, while the coins 9 appear.
Instead of being connected to the edge 14 ′ by a fabric or a simply flexible piece, the piece 10 could be connected to this edge by a ribbon or an elastic piece tending to bring it back towards this edge in order to free the opening 4a. In this case, the part 10 could be held in the closed position by an appropriate means, for example by a press stud carried by the tongue 23 and the flange 40
The coins 9 are housed between the bottom 1 on the one hand,
and the sliding flap 20 and its fabric 21 on the other hand, Thanks to the present of this fabric 21, the coins 9 cannot inadvertently slip between the piece of leather 10 and the flap 20 =
Above the major part of the part 10 is disposed a piece of leather 25, sewn along the three sides 13, 14 and 15, so as to leave, between itself and the part 10, a pocket intended to receive bus and metro tickets for example
When the tab 23 is fully pulled forward, as shown in fig. 1, no coin can accidentally slip between the flap 21 and the rim 4. The purse can then be folded in half, which then takes the shape shown in FIG. 6.
It is then in the fully closed position
To take coins, the coin purse is unfolded and tilted enough to lower the coins from the pocket into the second part, the coins not risking untimely exit since the opening 4a of this second part is perfectly closed by the shutter 20o We then straighten the purse and push back
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the tongue 23 behind to retract the flap 20 into the pocket of the first part, that is to say under the plate 10. We can then enter the desired coins.
In this new position of the flap 20, it is not possible to fold the purse in half without forcing it, because the relative rigidity of the flap opposes this maneuver. 'The flap 20 in fact only has a flexible zone, which corresponds to its fold when it is in the closed position. It is therefore necessary to remove the tab 23 forward to close the opening 4a before folding the purse.
According to the variant shown in figo 5, the sliding shutter 20 is replaced by an articulated shutter 20a, one side of which is sewn to the piece of leather 10. This shutter closes by means of a press-stud 26, one of which of both parts is attached to the edge 4.
This shutter could also be closed by means of any other system, for example by means of a slider closure mounted on all or part of its perimeter.
Thus, the purses according to the invention open by unfolding. One of the two halves thus unfolded, namely the one comprising the leather piece 10, serves as a pocket for the coins, while the second half is provided with a flat rim 4 serving to retain said coins when they are slid by gravity from said pocket.
This second half of the purse is provided with a closing flap 20 or 20a, which comes to rest against said flat rim 40 It would not be departing from the scope of the present invention to change non-essential details of the devices described above. above. Thus, for example, the shape of the rim 4 could be different from that shown in the drawing, or the general shape of the whole article could be different. It also goes without saying that the material used for the manufacture of all or part of the article may be other than leather, for example, a fabric or plastic, or any metal.
We will also be interested in making the shutter and even possibly the rim 4, in transparent plastic, in order to already see the parts even before having opened this shutter.
