<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

TRANSPORT TROLLEY OF THE "DEVIL" TYPE Object of the invention
The present invention relates to an improved transport cart of the "hand truck" type, which is particularly suitable for handling barrels and barrels, in particular in the brewery sector, without however being limited to this field of application.
Technological background underlying the invention
It is usual, especially for the supply in the Horeca sector, to transport barrels and barrels using trolleys of the "devil" type. In practice, however, it is observed that generally, the barrels are unloaded from a truck by dropping them on the ground on a carpet and the like, which are then loaded onto the hand truck to bring them more generally to a hatch or the like. communicating with a cellar generally comprising an inclined plane or a ramp. Various means are used to, generally after having discharged them from the said devil, lower the barrels into the cellar. As regards empty drums, these are generally, after
EMI1.1
their transport using the hand truck, lifted manually at 1 level of the truck to be loaded.
All these operations 1 1 require considerable physical force and can be the cause of accidents. In addition, these operations are laborious and difficult.

Goals of the invention
The present invention aims to provide a solution to the difficulties described and in particular aims to improve handling carts of the type described on the one hand by an increase in the possibilities of using this carriage and on the other hand a motorization facilitating its use.
Character-defining elements of the invention
According to the invention a trolley of the "devil" type essentially comprising a rectangular chassis equipped at its upper part with handles and at its lower part with at least two low wheels and at least one means for supporting the load , is characterized according to a first aspect of the invention, in that a movable element slides in said chassis while making it possible to lower the support means with respect to the level of the wheels at least by a length practically equal to the height of the frame.
Preferably, the movable element sliding with respect to the chassis is itself telescopic so that the support means can be lowered with respect to the wheels of a length significantly greater than the height of the chassis.
According to a preferred complementary form of the invention, said support means themselves consist of a first part integral with said mobile element and a second part capable of carrying out a translational movement relative to this mobile element.
The various possible movements between on the one hand the chassis and on the other hand the mobile element, the possible telescopic movements of this element and the movements relative to this mobile element of a part of the support means are motorized.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
To this end, devices with deflection pulleys and control cables are preferred, although other variants, in particular pinion displacements on racks or hydraulic systems, etc. can be expected.
The invention will be better understood and will be described in more detail with reference to the following description of a preferred embodiment of the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Brief description of the drawings
Figure 1 is a view of the position of the devil corresponding to conventional embodiments.
Figure 2 is a view corresponding to that of Figure 1 in the position for which the load support means are lowered relative to the level of the wheels following a translation of the movable member in the chassis.
Figure 3 is a view corresponding to Figure 1 in which however a first part of the load support means is raised relative to the second part.
In the drawings, identical reference marks will be used for identical or equivalent elements of the different views.
Brief description of a preferred embodiment of the invention
A devil bearing the general reference 1 is represented in FIG. 1 in a configuration corresponding to conventional machines.
Usually, it consists of a chassis 3 provided with two handles 5 and 5 ′ at its upper part and two wheels 7 and 7 ′ at its lower part.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The devil, also in a conventional manner, comprises a means 9 for supporting the load (which is not shown).
According to the invention, this hand truck is equipped with a movable element 11 in the form of sliding profiles with respect to the frame 3 and guided by it, and on which the support means 9 is mounted. A motor 13 powered by a battery 15, by means of a pulley wedged on the axis of the motor, to a return pulley mounted on the frame 3 and a cable makes it possible to lower the support means 9 below the level of the wheels 7, the length of the movable element, it being sufficient to lower the support means 9 over a length approximately equal to the height of the frame 3.
Where appropriate, the movable element It can be telescopic, that is to say that inside the profiles shown in FIG. 3 in particular, other profiles are guided so as to further increase the length of which the support means 9 can be lowered.
Generally, cafes and restaurants are equipped with an inclined plane forming a ramp often provided with sliding rails, which allows the load to drop easily, the end of the movable element being able to include sliding pads or rollers. bearing to facilitate this movement.
The shape of the support means is of course adapted to the load to be handled.
In the embodiment shown, we chose that of a tray but other forms are possible.
As illustrated in Figure 2, the means of
EMI4.1
- constituted support 9 is in fact made up of two parts, respectively 9A and 9B.
Part 9B remains in place at the bottom of
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the movable element 11 as indicated and can serve as a foot keeping the hand truck 1 in a vertical position.
The part 9A can however, while being guided, move under the effect of the cable winding towards the high position shown in FIG. 2.
Starting from the position of Figure 2, we can bring part 9B to the height of the platform of a truck, lower this part to ground level, maneuver in a conventional way the devil with his load in position according to Figure 1 and then lower the load by a hatch in a cellar. Reverse movements from the lower position of Figure 3 to that of Figure 2 are of course also possible.
