Abstract The invention relates to an information security method of distributed electric vehicle controllers. According to the information security method, embedded MCUs and CAN transceivers are added to the electric vehicle controllers, the embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers are connected with each other in the electric vehicle controllers, the embedded MCUs are connected with existing master MCUs in respective electric 5 vehicle controllers to constitute communication units in the corresponding electric vehicle controllers, the communication units are connected through the respective CAN transceivers to form distributed architecture for receiving and transmitting CAN information, and encryption and decryption algorithms are built in the embedded MCUs of the communication units for encrypting and decrypting the CAN information in real time and performing security isolation and protection. By the adoption of the information security method provided 10 by the present invention, the data information transmission of an electric vehicle controller network can be monitored and controlled in real time, and the security monitoring and protection of the CAN information are effectively guaranteed. The invention relates to the secure communication strategies of vehicle-mounted local area networks, and 5 particularly relates to an information security method of distributed electric vehicle controllers.
Background of the Invention
With the vigorous promotion and use of electric vehicles, the rapid development of function diversification and integration of the electric vehicles and the industrialization of the electric vehicles, the increase and application 10 of various vehicle-mounted electronic devices are popularized in the mass market. The function of a high voltage system is to ensure the transmission of the power energy of the full vehicle system of the electric vehicle and to detect insulation faults, open circuit faults, ground faults, high voltage faults and the like of the entire high voltage system at any time, the main task is to ensure the security of device and personnel, and the high voltage system is also one of the key technologies of the industrialization of the electric vehicles. The invention provides an information security method of distributed electric vehicle controllers in view of the problems that the security of CAN information of the existing electric vehicle controllers cannot be ensured and that private information is illegally stolen front the communication information between the controllers very easily, resulting in leakage of driving electronic control information, decoding of vehicle locking 35 passwords, etc. Embedded MCUs and CAN transceivers are added to the electric vehicle controllers and constitute corresponding communication units with master MCUs, the communication units can be further connected through the respective CAN transceivers to form distributed architecture for receiving and transmitting the CAN information, the embedded MCU of a built-in encryption and decryption algorithm is effectively used for encrypting and decrypting the CAN information in real time and performing security 40 isolation and protection of a “firewall”, and the real-time CAN information of the controllers is monitored and protected, thereby ensuring the security and the accuracy of real-time data transmission of an electric vehicle controller network.

According to the secure communication method of the integrated and distributed electric vehicle controllers 45 involved in the present invention, as the embedded MCUs (Microcontroller Unit) and the CAN transceivers are added to the electric vehicle controllers, the embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers and the existing master MCUs (Microcontroller Unit) in respective electric vehicle controllers together constitute the 2 communication units in the corresponding electric vehicle controllers, the communication between the electric vehicle controllers is realized by the CAN transceivers in the communication units by receiving and transmitting the CAN information, and the encryption and decryption algorithms are built in the embedded MCUs of the communication units for encrypting and decrypting the CAN information in real time and 5 performing security isolation and protection. Further, according to the secure communication method provided by the present invention, the communication units are connected through the respective CAN transceivers to form the distributed architecture for receiving and transmitting the CAN information, the communication units are deployed in a distributed manner, the real-time CAN communication between the communication units is effectively realized by the embedded 20 MCUs and the CAN transceivers, and the instantaneity, independence and security' of data transmission are guaranteed in combination with the built-in encryption and decryption algorithms, particularly the white box encryption algorithms. Preferably, the embedded MCUs and the master MCUs in the communication units are connected through the SPI accesses, namely, SPI communication is adopted, thereby guaranteeing the instantaneity of the communication between the electric vehicle controllers and guaranteeing the security 25 control function of the CAN information.
The invention further relates to an information security system of distributed electric vehicle controllers, including master MCUs, embedded MCUs and CAN transceivers, which are connected with each other in sequence in the electric vehicle controllers in an electric vehicle controller network, wherein the master MCUs, 30 die embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers constitute communication units in the corresponding electric vehicle controllers, encryption and decryption modules are built in the embedded MCUs, the CAN transceivers of the communication units receive and transmit CAN information between the electric vehicle controllers, and the encryption and decryption modules encrypt and decrypt the CAN information in real time and perform security isolation and protection. The information security system involved in the present invention 35 corresponds to the above-mentioned information security method of the distributed electric vehicle controllers, it can be interpreted as the information security system used for realizing the above-mentioned information security method of the distributed electric vehicle controllers provided by the present invention, and the information security system is simple in structure and high in practicability, and is able to realize effective security protection of keys and sensitive data information, realize a firewall isolation function, guarantee the 40 security and the accuracy of real-time data transmission and provide better stability and security for the new-generation electric vehicle controller sy stems.

Detailed Description of the Invention 10 The invention will be illustrated below in combination with the accompanying drawings.
The invention discloses an information security method of distributed electric vehicle controllers, used for realizing the information security of electric vehicle controllers arranged in an electric vehicle controller network in a distributed manner. As shown in Fig. 1, embedded MCUs and CAN transceivers are added to the 15 electric vehicle controllers, the embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers are connected with each other in the electric vehicle controllers, the embedded MCUs are connected with existing master MCUs in respective electric vehicle controllers, the master MCUs, the embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers constitute communication units in the corresponding electric vehicle controllers together (only a communication unit i and a communication unit j are shown in Fig. 1), the communication units (e.g., the communication unit i and 20 the communication unit j in Fig. 1) are connected through the respective CAN transceivers to form distributed architecture for receiving and transmitting CAN information, and encryption and decryption algorithms are built in the embedded MCUs of the communication units for encrypting and decrypting the CAN information in real time and performing security isolation and protection. According to the information security method provided by the present invention, the embedded MCUs with the built-in encryption and decryption algorithms 25 receive and decrypt input information, eliminate garbage/harmful information and encrypt output information, die built-in encryption and decryption algorithms can be static encryption algorithms, black box encryption algorithms or white box encryption algorithms, particularly when the built-in white box encryption algorithms are adopted, any white box encryption algorithm can be adopted, for example, a white box AES algorithm or a white box DES algorithm or reformation of the existing white box encryption algorithm, based on the 30 calculation of an encryption function in insecure environments, encryption keys are hidden in a series of data tables, and the information among the embedded MCUs, the master MCUs and the CAN transceivers is encrypted, thereby greatly enhancing the security protection of the keys and the sensitive data, effectively solving the problem that information transmission is prone to white box breaking in the electric vehicle controller network, avoiding the decoding and leakage of sensitive data information and guaranteeing the 35 security and the accuracy of real-time data transmission of the electric vehicle controller network.
Fig. 2 show's a preferred working principle diagram of the information security method of the distributed electric vehicle controllers disclosed by the present invention, in the embodiment, the electric vehicle controller network includes a plurality of communication units 1—n, the embedded MCUs and the CAN 40 transceivers are added to the communication units, the embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers are connected with each other in the electric vehicle controllers, the embedded MCUs are connected with the master MCUs in respective electric vehicle controllers to constitute the communication units in the corresponding electric vehicle controllers, and preferably, the embedded MCUs in the communication units are connected with the existing master MCUs in the communication units through SPI accesses 2 so as to 45 guarantee the communication instantaneity between the embedded MCUs and the master MCUs of the electric vehicle and the security protection of the CAN information; according to the information security method as shown in Fig. 2, the white box encryption algorithm is adopted, the white box encryption algorithms are built 4 in the embedded MCUs for encrypting and decrypting die CAN information in real time and performing security isolation and protection, the security of real-time information transmission among the controllers is guaranteed, and meanwhile a firewall, namely a security isolation and protection function is realized; moreover, the communication units are connected with each other through the respective CAN transceivers to form the 5 distributed architecture for receiving and transmitting the CAN information, and the CAN transceivers are connected with each other through corresponding CAN twisted pairs 1, namely the communication units of a full vehicle controller of the electric vehicle can realize the secure transmission of data information just via two CAN twisted pahs, therefore the number of transmission wiling harnesses and the number of corresponding devices are greatly decreased, and the installation space and cost of the transmission wiring 10 harnesses are effectively reduced; the communication units are connected with each other through the respective CAN twisted pairs 1 to form the distributed architecture, the communication units communicate with each other and work independently to form respective independent data flow works, thereby guaranteeing the security and the accuracy of real-time data transmission and providing better stability and security for the new-generation electric vehicle controller systems. 2017100661 06 Jun2017 15
The invention further discloses an information security system of distributed electric vehicle controllers, used for realizing the information security of electric vehicle controllers arranged in an electric vehicle controller network in a distributed manner, as shown in Fig. 3, the information security system includes master MCUs arranged in tire electric vehicle controllers, the information security system further includes embedded MCUs 20 and CAN transceivers arranged in the electric vehicle controllers, encryption and decryption modules are built in the embedded MCUs, the embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers are connected with each other in the electric vehicle controllers, the embedded MCUs are connected with the master MCUs in respective electric vehicle controllers to constitute communication units in the corresponding electric vehicle controllers (only a communication unit i and a communication unit j are shown in Fig. 3), that is, the master MCUs, the 25 embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers are connected in the communication units in sequence, the communication units (e.g., the communication unit i and the communication unit j in Fig. 1) are connected through the respective CAN transceivers to form distributed architecture for receiving and transmitting CAN information, and the encryption and decryption modules in the embedded MCUs of the communication units encrypt and decrypt the CAN information in real time and perform security isolation and protection. 30
Fig. 4 shows a preferred structural schematic diagram of the information security system of the distributed electric vehicle controllers disclosed by the invention. The information security system includes an electric vehicle controller network, the electric vehicle controller network includes plurality of communication units 1···η, the communication units respectively include the master MCUs, embedded MCUs and the CAN 35 transceivers therein, white box encryption modules are respectively built in the embedded MCUs, the embedded MCUs and the CAN transceivers are connected with each other in the electric vehicle controllers, the embedded MCUs are connected with the master MCUs in respective electric vehicle controllers to constitute the communication units in tire corresponding electric vehicle controllers, and preferably, the embedded MCUs in the communication units are connected with the existing master MCUs in the 40 communication units through the SPI accesses 2 so as to guarantee the communication instantaneity between the embedded MCUs and the master MCUs of the electric vehicle and the security protection of the CAN information, that is to say, the embedded MCUs and the master MCUs adopt SPI communication, the SPI communication architecture can effectively guarantee real-time information transmission, avoid the retardance and hysteresis of information transmission and meanwhile guarantee the security control of the CAN 45 information in the information security system of the present invention; moreover, the communication units are connected with each other through the respective CAN transceivers to form the distributed architecture for receiving and transmitting the CAN information, and the CAN transceivers are connected with each other 5 through corresponding CAN twisted pairs 1, the CAN transceivers receive and transmit the CAN information, meanwhile the corresponding white box encryption modules encrypt and decrypt the CAN information in real time and perform security isolation and protection, specifically, the embedded MCUs receive and decrypt input information, eliminate garbage/harmful information and encrypt output information; the information 5 monitored and processed by the master MCUs is output after being encrypted by the embedded MCUs, is transmitted by the CAN transceivers to CAN accesses (i.e., the CAN twisted pairs 1), and can be received by another communication unit finally; and the other communication unit can receive the CAN information transmitted by the CAN accesses (i.e., the CAN twisted pairs 1) through its CAN transceiver and input the CAN information to the master MCU for monitoring and processing after being decrypted by the embedded 10 MCU.
