Abstract

The invention relates especially to a method for making available information that is stored on a server system, such as a Web page or WAP page that can be requested and displayed with an Internet or Web or WAP browser. The invention increases the functionality of a mobile terminal such as a GSM mobile telephone by providing that the mobile radiotelephony terminal (101) requests the information, especially the Internet or Web or WAP page, via the signalling channel (104) of the mobile radiotelephony network. The request that is transmitted via the signalling channel (104) of the mobile radiotelephony network is converted especially into a request (103) that corresponds to a request for the Internet or Web or WAP page by an Internet or Web or WAP browser, such as a corresponding request using the HTTP protocol, the information, especially the Internet or Web or WAP page is made available by the server system (102), the Internet or Web or WAP page (107) or part of this page preferably being converted into a text message (105), and the information, especially the text message, is transmitted to the mobile radiotelephony terminal (101) via the signalling channel (104) of the mobile radiotelephony network (101) and presented on the display (201) of the mobile radiotelephony terminal (101).
