Abstract
A process and device are disclosed for directly recognizing the position of analogical indicator elements of a clock, in particular the pointers (4a, 4b) of a radio clock. The optical signal (9) emitted by an optical transmission element (1) is reflected and/or refracted by functional areas (41, 42) of the pointers (4a, 4b) in such a way that the signals are received by an optical reception element (2) only when the pointers (4a, 4b) are in a defined position.
