Abstract

The invention relates to a device in a vehicle for on-board electronic charging for the use of toll road sections by the vehicle, in which geographical positions of the vehicle are detected or received by the device and the value of the use concerned is recorded on a storage medium in the device. To be able to monitor and then prosecute the unauthorised use of roads by vehicles fitted with a tachograph without infringing data protection, the invention proposes that there be a data interface in the device via which route information is transmitted to a tachograph on the vehicle and recorded thereby in addition to the ordinary tachograph information.
