The invention relates to a distribution system for two or more consumers, in particular AC consumers, each consumer being assigned its own module which determines the current to the respective consumer, the module being connected to a common central module and load switching elements in the controls leading lines.
DE 195 07 039 A1 shows a generic device in which each consumer of electrical energy is assigned a connector for coupling to the energy supply. Each connector is connected to a central control unit and has a circuit breaker. The circuit breaker of an individual connector is controlled from the control unit via a data bus using coded signals. Here, all connected connector units initially receive the coded signal. However, the coded signal is only evaluated by the connector unit configured according to the code. With this arrangement it is thus possible to individually control individual circuit breakers in a network.
However, the type of communication is limited to predefined commands and queries and is therefore inflexible.
The starting point for the development are further distribution systems for two or more electrical consumers, as described for example in the granted European patents EP 0 641 057 B1 and EP 0 641 056 B1.
The object of the invention is to simplify the construction while maintaining the previous functionalities and to create the possibility of further functionalities which can be flexibly influenced.
According to the invention, this is achieved in a distribution system of the type mentioned at the beginning by each module having a microprocessor which is connected to a common central module via a digital data bus, preferably a CAN bus.
By using a microprocessor in each module, it is equipped with its own intelligence and can therefore perform the most diverse control and regulation functions for the connected consumer reliably and essentially freely programmable.
The individual module modules are connected to a central module via a digital data bus, for example a CAN bus. This central module can be used to display measurement and setting data from the individual module modules. In addition, it is possible to address the microprocessors of the individual module modules from this central module via the CAN bus and thus, for example, to trigger certain control or switching functions of the load switching elements in the lines leading to the consumers.
The central module itself can preferably be connected to a personal computer (PC) via a parallel interface. The entire distribution system can thus be operated or recorded from this personal computer. For this purpose, the central module has a commercially available conversion processor, which ensures data transmission between the parallel interface and the CAN bus.
Like the previous systems, the new system also has a manual mode, in which each module module is simply operated on site by hand using control elements on the front.
In addition, there is the remote control or remote monitoring of the individual module modules discussed above from the central module via the digital bus (CAN bus).
In order to maintain downward compatibility with previous systems mostly controlled by relays, a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that a second remote control mode is provided, in which the microprocessor of the individual module modules receives control signals via separate digital inputs, depending on which the load switching controls the individual consumers. So there is, as it were, another simpler remote control mode in the hierarchy between the local manual control and the remote control via the CAN bus, which allows control from relays, for example, via a low-voltage plug connector.
Further advantages and details of the invention are explained in more detail with the aid of the following description of the figures.
1 shows schematically an embodiment of a distributor according to the invention
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Systems, FIG. 2a shows the front of the central module, FIG. 2b shows the front of a module.
1 shows three separate assembly modules 1, 2, 3, which have the task of controlling the current from a power line 4 (for example in a power plug connector) to the associated consumers (here motors M1, M2 and M3).
The structure of such an assembly module is described on the basis of assembly module 1. The module modules 2 and 3 are constructed analogously.
The power line 4 is a three-phase AC line, but outside of the module modules, for the sake of simplicity, it is only indicated with a single continuous line. These three phases are shown individually in the interior of the module 1. The actual load switching element 5, for example a triac, is located in each phase. According to the invention, these load switching elements 5 are controlled by the microprocessor 6, which is connected to the central module 7 via a digital bus, for example a CAN bus.
In the three phases of the load part, three current measuring devices 26 are provided, which feed their measurement data to the microprocessor 6 via lines 8. In front of and behind the fuses 27 in the individual three phases, the voltages at the voltage measuring devices 24, 25 are each removed and also fed to the microprocessor as inputs 9 and 10, respectively. In principle, it is also possible to only detect the voltage in front of or behind the fuses 27. It is also generally sufficient to measure the current of a single phase by means of a current measuring device 26, so that the monitoring of all three phases with regard to the current is unnecessary. Depending on these measurement signals and a control specification, the microprocessor 6 now switches the load switching elements 5 of the engine (for example engine advance or
Motor rewind).
The control data of the CAN bus 11 can, for example, be made available from a PC 12. For this purpose, the central module 7 has a parallel interface 13 and a conversion processor 14, which converts this interface data into CAN bus data. Conversely, it is of course also possible to display measurement data from the distribution system on the PC 12.
In addition, the central module 7 preferably has two displays on its front side 7a.
A display 15 shows the module module currently being addressed, while the second display 16 can display current values detected there or set there.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, each module has three different operating modes. These operating modes can be set via a hand switch 17 on the front side 1a of the respective module, the set mode being indicated by light-emitting diodes 18.
In the manual operating mode, on-site control takes place via control elements 19 and 20 on the front side 1a of the module module itself. In the exemplary embodiment shown, these control elements are a switch 19 for forward or reverse motion of the motor and a potentiometer 20 for setting a current threshold value , from which a shutdown takes place automatically.
In addition to this manual operating mode, the module 1 also has a first remote control mode, in which the microprocessor 6 receives 7 data via the CAN bus 11 and, depending on this, controls the load switching elements 5 to the individual consumers M1 etc.
In order to achieve backward compatibility, there is also a second remote control mode in which the microprocessor 6 is switched via separate data inputs 21, for example via relays (not shown).
In addition, the front side 1a of the module 1 also has a lamp 28 for indicating a fault and three lamps 22 for displaying the voltage or fuse status of the individual three phases. The engine forward or the engine return can be displayed via LEDs 23.
Further application examples and possible functionalities result from EP 0 641 056 B1 and EP 0 641 057 B1 already mentioned at the beginning. In addition to a structurally simpler design, the use of the microprocessor also enables the implementation of further switching, control or regulating functions, the free programmability in particular
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
which is of particular advantage from a PC 12.
