EMI1.1

EMI1.1
As is well known in specialist circles, the picture to be transmitted in television is broken down into a number of points, hereinafter referred to as picture elements, by means of a scanning diaphragm, such as a Nipkow disk, Jenkin drum, mirror screw, etc. The decomposition takes place by means of the scanning points or holes or mirrors arranged on the diaphragm. Each of these mirrors or points or holes means an image line. Normally, one line at a time is scanned in sequential order. The subject of the present invention is an arrangement in which the scanning is also carried out with the organs discussed at the beginning, but the arrangement of holes or
Point or mirror arrangement different from those previously used, u. in such a way that the diaphragm does not scan the lines from 1-30 in consecutive order, but rather the lines 1, 5.7, 3.9, 2, 8, 10, 4, etc. to 30 or more if necessary , from right to left and vice versa. This system results in a number of cipher keys and it goes without saying that transmissions of this type can only be correctly received by the recipient who knows the transmission cipher or the key to the same and has used the corresponding scanning aperture, which must be easily exchangeable. The purpose of encryption can be many, such as B. Press coverage, observation, news, sporting events, etc.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Scanning device and cipher arrangement for television purposes, characterized in that individual holes or mirrors or other suitable factors and groups of those used for scanning purposes are different from the legal arrangement otherwise present on the diaphragm or scanning element.
