Abstract

En un sistema de telecomunicaciones, en el que se intercambian senales entre una estacion de base y una terminal radioeléctrica fija, vía una unidad de antena, esta ultima se instala separada de la terminal radioeléctrica fija, la cual incluye partes radioeléctricas y un amplificador. Para la unidad de antena se dispone de varias configuraciones posibles, eligiéndose la configuracion sobre la base del entorno radioeléctrico del sitio de instalacion. La unidad de antena puede incluir un cable de antena y una antena. La unidad de antena también puede incluir un amplificador de antena y un dispositivo para determinar el modo de operacion de la terminal radioeléctrica fija. La unidad de antena puede incluir, además, un conversor de frecuencias para convertir las senales de alta frecuencias recibidas en senales de baja frecuencia o bien, las senales de transmision de una baja frecuencia a una alta frecuencia, segun el modo de operacion. El modo de operacion se puede determinar usando un detector de rampa para detectar una rampa de transmision. Como alternativa, se puede usar una senal de control enviada desde la terminal radioeléctrica fija, como indicacion del modo. El amplificador de la terminal radioeléctrica fija puede ajustar la potencia de salida, teniendo en cuenta un factor de amplificacion constante conocido de un amplificador de antena lineal o no lineal o bien, puede hacerlo el amplificador de antena de la unidad de antena, sobre la base de los comandos de control recibidos de la terminal radioeléctrica fija o la estacion de base.
