Abstract

The present invention provides a method and arrangement that improves the probability of identification of a number of transmitters, typically receiver transmitters, that transmit data to a receiver. The invention is applicable to a number of systems among which are radio frequency transmitter-receivers, systems where a certain number of self-powered transmitters must be identified by a receiver, or systems in which a certain number of transmitters transmit using an algorithm. Abandon and retry randomly delayed. Each transmitter is adapted to transmit at intervals and comprises a means for generating the transmissions, a means for calculating the duration of the intervals between successive transmissions and an activation means for random or pseudo-random intervals referring to an operating frequency of the local synchronization medium. In passive RFID systems, the frequency of the local synchronization medium is undetermined, and cannot be specified until the transmitter is in operation.
