Abstract

送信局10はビームフォーミングの機能を有し、ビームフォーミングに用いるウェイト候補を複数設定する。ウェイト候補のそれぞれについて、受信アンテナ32-1~32-Rxの受信信号に重畳する伝搬遅延時間差を除去するためのCP長を設定する。ウェイト候補と、当該ウェイト候補について設定されたCP長とを用いる無線信号によって達成される伝送容量を推定する。伝送容量を最大とするウェイト候補とCP長の組み合わせ用いて複数の送信アンテナ12-1~12-Txからビームフォーミングが施された無線信号を送出する。受信局40は、複数の受信アンテナ32-1~32-Rxの一部または全てに到達した受信信号に、CP長に基づく無視区間を設定する。無視区間を無視することで受信信号から伝搬遅延時間の影響を排除する。伝搬遅延時間の影響が排除された受信信号に時間/周波数等化とMIMO復調を施して無線信号を復元する。

Description

無線通信システム、無線通信装置、無線通信方法および無線通信用プログラム装置
 この開示は、無線通信システム、無線通信装置、無線通信方法および無線通信用プログラムに係り、特に、MIMOによる空間多重伝送の伝送容量を最大化するうえで好適な無線通信システム、無線通信装置、無線通信方法および無線通信用プログラムに関する。
 無線通信の分野では、複数の送信アンテナと複数の受信アンテナとを用いるMIMO(Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output)技術を用いた空間多重伝送が知られている。近年では、MIMOを用いた空間多重による伝送の大容量化が様々な領域で求められている。
 例えば、下記の非特許文献1が開示する非地上系ネットワーク(NTN:Non-Terrestrial Networks)を用いた無線通信では、地上モバイル端末の直接収容、モバイルバックホール、IoT端末収容等を含めた無線通信の様々な利用形態が想定される。このような無線通信のシステムでは、既存の衛星通信サービスと比較し伝送容量が増加することが想定される。そのため、衛星やHAPS(High Altitude Platform Station)等の上空プラットフォームと地上ゲートウェイ局(GW)の間を接続する回線(以下、「フィーダリンク」とする)の大容量化が求められている。
 フィーダリンクを大容量化する手法としては、例えば下記非特許文献2が、Massive MIMOを用いる手法を提案している。非特許文献2が開示するMassive MIMOでは、LEO(Low Earth Orbit)衛星等の上空プラットフォームに複数のアンテナが配置されると共に、多数の小型アンテナが広域に亘って地上に配置される。このような構成によれば、多数の送信アンテナと多数の受信アンテナを設置することで空間多重の数が増やせるため、伝送容量の拡大が期待できる。
 また、下記非特許文献3は、Massive MIMOを用いる無線通信に伴うMIMO復調を効率的に行う手法を開示している。Massive MIMOを用いる通信では、地上の受信アンテナが広域に亘って配置されるため、上空に配置される送信アンテナと、地上に配置される複数の受信アンテナとの距離に大きなバラツキが生ずる。無線信号の伝搬時間はその距離に比例するため、遠方の地上アンテナの受信信号には大きな伝搬遅延が重畳し易い。
 非特許文献3では、その遅延の影響を排除するため、上空の複数の送信アンテナから、個々のシンボルにCP(Cyclic Prefix)と呼ばれるGI(Guard Interval)を埋め込んだOFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex)信号を送信する。CPは、個々のシンボルを構成する信号波の後半一部を切り取った信号波であり、その長さ(CP長)は、送受信アンテナ間の伝搬遅延時間の最大差に基づいて設定される。
 地上に配置された複数の受信アンテナは、それぞれの設置位置に応じた伝搬遅延時間を伴ってOFDM信号を受信する。非特許文献3では、個々の受信アンテナにより受信された信号は、地上局の合成器に集められる。一つの合成器に集まる複数の受信信号には、それぞれ異なる遅延が重畳しているが、非特許文献3の合成器は、それらの信号に含まれるCPを無視する。CPは、伝搬遅延時間の最大差に基づいて設定されているため、その区間が無視されると、伝搬遅延時間の影響を受けていない部分が残存する。このため、非特許文献3が提案する手法によれば、地上の合成器は、複数の受信アンテナの受信信号を、伝搬遅延時間の影響を排除した状態で合成することができる。
 非特許文献3では、以後、このようにして生成される合成信号に基づいて、MIMO復調のための等化処理が実行される。その結果、非特許文献3の手法では、Massive MIMOを用いた無線通信により、効率的に大容量の伝搬が実現される。

 しかしながら、非特許文献3が開示する上記の手法では、伝搬遅延時間の影響を排除するために、CP長を、常に伝搬遅延時間の最大差に設定しておく必要がある。CPは、シンボル毎に設ける必要があることから、CP長が長いほど、通信のフレーム効率が低下する。この点で、非特許文献3の手法は、伝搬容量の最大化に反する特性を有している。
 本開示は、上記の課題を解決するため、MIMOの実施に伴う伝搬遅延時間の影響を簡易な処理で排除しつつ伝搬容量の最大化を図ることのできる無線通信システムを提供することを第1の目的とする。
 また、本開示は、MIMOの実施に伴う伝搬遅延時間の影響を簡易な処理で排除しつつ伝搬容量の最大化を図ることのできる無線通信装置を提供することを第2の目的とする。
 また、本開示は、MIMOの実施に伴う伝搬遅延時間の影響を簡易な処理で排除しつつ伝搬容量の最大化を図るための無線通信方法を提供することを第3の目的とする。
 また、本開示は、MIMOの実施に伴う伝搬遅延時間の影響を簡易な処理で排除しつつ伝搬容量の最大化を図るための無線通信用プログラムを提供することを第4の目的とする。
 第1の態様は、複数の送信アンテナを用いて無線信号を送信する送信局と、複数の受信アンテナに到達した受信信号を集約して処理する受信局とを含む無線通信システムであって、
 前記送信局は、
 前記無線信号の照射範囲を可変とするビームフォーミングの機能を有し、
 前記ビームフォーミングに用いるウェイト候補を複数設定する処理と、

実施の形態1.
[実施の形態1の構成]
(全体構成)
 図1は本開示の実施の形態1の無線通信システムの構成を説明するための図である。図1に示すように、本実施形態のシステムは送信局10を備えている。送信局10は、GEO(Geostationary Orbit)衛星、LEO衛星、或いはHAPS等、NTNを構成するための上空プラットフォームに搭載される無線通信用の装置である。
 本実施形態において、送信局10は、図示の通り、複数の上空アンテナ12-1~12-Txを備えている。以下、これらを区別する必要がない場合は、添え字の符号を省略して「上空アンテナ12」と称す。上空アンテナ12は、送信アンテナと受信アンテナの双方として機能する。
 本実施形態のシステムは、地上に配置されたアンテナ部30を備えている。アンテナ部30には、広範囲に亘り互いに十分に離間するように配置された複数の地上アンテナ32-1~32-Rxが含まれている。これらについても、相互に区別する必要がない場合は、添え字の符号を省略して、以下「地上アンテナ32」と称す。地上アンテナ32も、上空アンテナ12と同様に送信アンテナと受信アンテナの双方として機能する。
 本実施形態のシステムは、更に、地上に設置された受信局40を備えている。受信局40は、有線または無線の経路を介して地上アンテナ32の全てと接続されている。地上アンテナ32のそれぞれで受信された信号は、上記の経路を介して受信局40に集められ、受信局40において処理される。
(送信局の詳細)
 図2は、図1に示す送信局10の構成を機能的に説明するためのブロック図である。図2に示す各ブロックの機能は、当該機能を実現するようにプログラムされた汎用プロセッサ、特定用途プロセッサ、集積回路、ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits)、CPU (a Central Processing Unit)、従来型の回路、および/又はそれらの組合せを含むcircuitry又はprocessing circuitryにおいて実装されてもよい。プロセッサは、トランジスタやその他の回路を含み、circuitry又はprocessing circuitryとみなされる。プロセッサは、メモリに格納されたプログラムを実行するprogrammed processorであってもよい。
 本明細書において、circuitry、「部」または「ユニット」または「手段」は、記載された機能を実現するようにプログラムされたハードウェア、又はその機能を実現するハードウェアである。当該ハードウェアは、本明細書に開示されているあらゆるハードウェア、または、当該記載された機能を実現するようにプログラムされた、または、そのプログラムを実行するものとして知られているあらゆるハードウェアであってもよい。
 当該ハードウェアがcircuitryのタイプであるとみなされるプロセッサである場合、当該circuitry、「部」または「ユニット」または「手段」は、ハードウェアと、当該ハードウェアおよび/またはプロセッサを構成するために用いられるソフトウェアの組合せである。
 図2に示すように、送信局10は、チャネル情報取得部14を備えている。チャネル情報取得部14は、上空アンテナ12と地上アンテナ32との間に形成されるチャネルの情報を取得するための要素である。チャネル情報は、パイロット信号を用いる既知の方法、送信局10および地上アンテナ32の位置に基づく既知の方法、或いはシミュレーションに基づく既知の方法等、既知の任意の方法で取得することができる。
 チャネル情報取得部14が取得したチャネル情報はウェイト算出部16に提供される。送信局10は、上空アンテナ12のそれぞれから送出する信号に適当なウェイト処理を施すことにより、任意の方向に高出力の信号を送出するビームフォーミングを実施することができる。ウェイト算出部16は、取得したチャネル情報に基づいて、任意のビームフォーミングを実現するウェイトを算出する。より具体的には、ウェイト算出部16は、最適なビームフォーミングを決定する準備として、実現可能な複数のビームフォーミングのそれぞれに対応するウェイト候補を算出する。
 ウェイト算出部16が算出したウェイト候補の情報は、CP長算出部18に提供される。CP長算出部18は、受け取ったウェイト候補のそれぞれに関して以下の処理を実行する:
 (1)ウェイト候補により実現されるビームフォーミングよる伝搬経路を推定する;
 (2)その伝搬経路が用いられた場合に、複数の地上アンテナ32のそれぞれに生ずる伝搬遅延時間を推定する;
 (3)伝搬遅延時間のプロファイル(以下、「遅延プロファイル」とする)に基づいて伝搬遅延の影響を排除するのに必要なCP長を算出する。
 CP長算出部18によって算出されたCP長は、伝送容量算出部20に提供される。伝送容量算出部20は、上空アンテナ12と地上アンテナ32との間に確保できる伝送容量を算出する。伝送容量は、主として、無線信号が辿る伝搬経路の特性と、無線信号に組み込まれるCPの長さにより決定される。つまり、伝送容量は、主として、ビームフォーミングのウェイトとCP長の二つの要素によって決定される。本実施形態において、CP長算出部18は、ウェイト算出部16が算出したウェイト候補と、CP長算出部18が算出したCP長との組み合わせに基づき、ウェイト候補のそれぞれに対応する伝送容量を算出する。
 伝送容量算出部20の算出結果は制御情報算出部22に提供される。制御情報算出部22は、ウェイト候補とCP長との組み合わせに対して算出された複数の伝送容量を比較して、最大の伝送容量を生じさせる組み合わせを決定する。
 制御情報算出部22によって決定されたウェイト候補とCP長の情報は、送信信号生成部24とビームフォーミング部26に提供される。送信信号生成部24は、直列並列変換(S/P変換)、誤り訂正、所望の変調処理等を実施してMIMO伝送のための信号を生成する。更に、受信側で伝搬遅延時間の影響が排除できるようにシンボル毎にCPを組み込んだフレーム信号を生成する。
 ビームフォーミング部26は、制御情報算出部22によって決定されたウェイト候補を用いたビームフォーミングを実施する。これにより、複数の上空アンテナ12から、伝搬容量の最大化が期待できる状態で無線信号が送信される。
(受信局の詳細)
 図3は、図1に示す受信局40の構成を機能的に説明するためのブロック図である。図3に示す受信局40の機能は、送信局10の場合と同様に、プログラムされた汎用プロセッサ等に実装されてもよい。
 本実施形態において、地上には、複数の地上アンテナ32を含むアンテナ部30が配置される。地上アンテナ32は、互いに離間した状態で広範囲に亘って配置される。地上アンテナ32が互いに大きく離間して配置されることで、上空アンテナ12と個々の地上アンテナ32との間には相関の低い複数チャネルが形成される。地上アンテナ32は、それぞれ送受信アンテナとして機能し、上空アンテナ12からの無線信号を受信すると、その信号を送受信部34-1~34-Rx(以下、区別の必要が無ければ「送受信部34」とする)に伝送する。
 送受信部34は、それぞれ、対応する地上アンテナ32から受け取った信号を受信局40に送信する。この送信は、無線通信、または光ファイバを用いるRoF(Radio on Fiber)等の有線通信により行われる。
 受信局40は、送受信部34のそれぞれに対応する受信部42-1~42-Rx(以下、区別の必要がなければ「受信部42」とする)を備えている。受信部42は、アンテナ部30の送受信部34から受け取った信号を合成部44-1~44-Nmix(以下、区別の必要がなければ「合成部44」とする)へ出力する。送受信部34からの信号が光ファイバを介して送信されてくる場合、受信部42は、光信号を電気信号に変換する処理も行う。
 合成部44は、複数の受信部42から送信されてくる信号を、同期等の処理を施すことなく合成して疑似的なマルチパス信号を生成する。この疑似的なマルチパス信号は、伝搬遅延時間が異なる複数の信号が合成されることにより、時間領域で干渉した信号となる。個々の合成部44で生成された疑似的なマルチパス信号は、等化部46-1~46-Nmix(以下、区別の必要がなければ「等化部46」とする)に提供される。
 等化部46は、合成部44から提供された疑似的なマルチパス信号に、時間/周波数等化の処理を施す。等化部46で処理された信号は、MIMO復調部48に集められる。MIMO復調部48は、上記の処理で生成される空間多重信号に対しMIMO等化の処理を施して、それらを分離する。
[実施の形態1の動作]
 以下、図4乃至図8を参照して本実施形態の無線通信システムの動作を説明する。
 図4は、本実施形態における送信局10の基本機能を説明するための図である。より具体的には、図4右側の領域は、上空アンテナ12のそれぞれが、地上アンテナ32の全てに到達するように無線信号を送出している様子を示している。
 他方、図4左側の領域は、このような状況下で発生する遅延プロファイルの一例を示している。より具体的には、図4左側の領域は、上記のように送出された後、地上アンテナ32のそれぞれを介して合成部44に到達した信号の受信電力と、それらに重畳している伝搬遅延時間の関係を示している。
 図4に示す例では、左端の地上アンテナ32-1が、上空アンテナ12からの距離が最も短い「近距離アンテナ」となる。また、右端の地上アンテナ32-Rxが、上空アンテナ12からの距離が最も長い「遠距離アンテナ」となる。近距離アンテナを経由して合成部44に到達する信号は、受信電力が大きく、かつ、小さな伝搬遅延時間を伴うものとなる。これに対して、遠距離アンテナを経由する信号は、受信電力が小さく、かつ、大きな伝搬遅延時間を伴うものとなる。
 図5Aは、四つの信号が、遅延を伴って順次伝搬される様子を示している。個々の信号には、複数のシンボル(i)、(i+1)、(i+2)が連続的に収められているものとする。合成部44には、図5Aに示すような信号が時系列で順次到来する。合成部44が、これらの信号を単純に合成すると、シンボルの境界付近では、二つの異なるシンボルに干渉が生ずる。
 図5Bは、図5Aに示す信号にガードインターバルとしてCPが組み込まれた様子を示している。CPには、四つの信号間に生ずる最大の伝搬遅延時間に相当する長さ(CP長)が与えられている。CPは、個々のシンボルの後半一部と重なる内容を有し、当該シンボルの先頭に組み込まれる。例えば、シンボル(i+1)の先頭には、当該シンボル(i+1)の後半と重複するCPが組み込まれる。
 四つの信号のうち最も先行する信号に付されたCPをガードインターバルとして無視すると、伝搬遅延に起因する干渉部分が除去できる。そして、CPを無視して四つの信号を合成すれば、伝搬遅延の影響を受けていない合成信号を得ることができる。
 再び図4を参照して説明を続ける。送信局10が図4に示すブロードな送信を実施する場合、地上アンテナ32-1が受信を開始してから、地上アンテナ32-Rxが受信を開始するまでの最大伝搬遅延時間差が、信号間にシンボル干渉を生じさせる期間となる。従って、個々の上空アンテナ12から送出される信号に、その最大伝搬遅延時間差と同じ長さを持つCPを組み込めば伝搬遅延時間の影響を排除することが可能である。このため、本実施形態の送信局10は、このような長さを持つCPを組み込んだ信号を上空アンテナ12のそれぞれから送出する。他方、受信局40の合成部44は、CPを無視して合成信号を生成することで伝搬遅延の影響を緩和または排除する。
[ビームフォーミングの導入]
 CPは、上記の通り受信局40において無視される部分である。従って、CP長が長いほど、信号のフレーム効率は低下し、送信局10と受信局40との間に確保できる伝搬容量が低下する。このため、大きな伝搬容量を確保するためにはCP長は短いほど好ましい。
 ここで、本実施形態の送信局10は、ビームフォーミングの機能により、上空アンテナ12から信号を照射する範囲を制御することができる。そして、上空アンテナ12の照射範囲を狭めて一部の地上アンテナ32にだけ信号を受信させれば、地上アンテナ32の全てが信号を受信する場合に比して、受信信号間の伝搬遅延差を小さくすることができる。
 図6は、上空アンテナ12の照射範囲が三台の地上アンテナ32-1~32-3に絞られるように、送信局10がビームフォーミング(BF)のウェイトを設定した場合の様子を示している。この場合、受信信号間に生ずる最大の伝搬遅延差は、地上アンテナ32-1が受信を開始してから、地上アンテナ32-3が受信を開始するまでの時間となる。このため、伝搬遅延の影響を排除するために必要なCP長は、図4に示す場合に比して大幅に短縮される。
 必要なCP長が短くなれば、無線信号のフレーム効率が上昇するため、無線信号の情報密度の点では伝送容量の確保に有利な状況となる。一方で、CP長を短くするために無線信号の照射範囲を限定すれば、有効活用される地上アンテナ32が減って利得の低下やチャネル相関の上昇が生じ、その影響で伝送容量が劣化する。このため、照射範囲を狭めてCP長を短くすれば大きな伝送容量が得られるものでもない。
 図7は、図4に示す場合に比して広い照射範囲が得られるように送信局10がビームフォーミングのウェイトを設定した場合の様子を示している。このようなウェイトを設定すれば、CP長の面では図4に示す状況に劣るが、受信エリアの面では図4に示す状況に優れる状況が得られる。
 以上説明した通り、本実施形態のシステムは、送信局10の照射範囲を絞るほどCP長の観点で伝送容量が確保し易い状態となり、他方、照射範囲を広げるほど稼働する地上アンテナ32が増えて伝送容量が確保し易い状態となる。つまり、本実施形態のシステムでは、複数の地上アンテナ32と送信局10との具体的な相対的位置関係および具体的なチャネル状態の下で、送信局10がどのようなウェイトを採用してどのようなCP長を設定するかに応じて、得られる伝送容量に変化が生ずる。
 そこで、本実施形態では、送信局10で採用し得るウェイト候補のそれぞれについて伝送容量を試算し、それらの比較に基づいて、最大の伝送容量を発生させるウェイトを決定することとした。そして、送信局10は、決定されたウェイトを用いるにあたって伝搬遅延の影響排除に必要なCP長を設定し、そのウェイトとCP長を用いて無線信号を送信する。
[送信局で実行される処理の流れ]
 図8は、上記の機能を実現するために送信局10において実行される処理の流れを説明するためのフローチャートである。図8に示すルーチンでは、先ず、複数の上空アンテナ12と複数の地上アンテナ32との間のチャネル情報が取得される(ステップ100)。チャネル情報は、例えば、パイロット信号を用いた既知の手法で取得することができる。
 次に、ビームフォーミングのウェイト候補が算出される(ステップ102)。本ステップ102では、例えば、以下のような手法でウェイト候補が決定される。
(1)送信局10と地上アンテナ32との具体的な相対的位置関係を取得する。
(2)送信局10がビームフォーミングによって照射可能な1台以上の地上アンテナ32の組み合わせを抽出する。
(3)抽出された組み合わせのそれぞれに対応するウェイトをウェイト候補として決定する。
 上記の処理が終わると、次に、全てのウェイト候補について伝送容量の算出が終わっているかが判別される(ステップ104)。その結果、全候補についての算出終了が認められればステップ106~111がジャンプされ、次にステップ112の処理が実行される。
 一方、全候補についての算出終了が認められない場合は、今回の処理対象とするウェイト候補が特定される。そして、その候補を用いたビームフォーミングに伴う遅延プロファイルが推定される(ステップ106)。送信局10は、全ての地上アンテナ32との相対的な位置関係を把握している。本ステップ106では、その相対的な位置関係に基づき、送信局10から個々の地上アンテナ32までの距離が推定される。更に、それらの距離に基づいて個々の地上アンテナ32に生ずる伝搬遅延時間が推定される。
 上記の処理が終わると、次に、推定された遅延プロファイルに基づいて、伝搬遅延の影響排除に必要なCP長が設定される(ステップ108)。ここでは、具体的には、上記ステップ106で推定した遅延プロファイルに含まれる最大の伝搬遅延時間がCP長として設定される。
 次に、今回の処理対象としたウェイト候補を採用した場合に得られる伝送容量が算出される(ステップ110)。具体的には、ここでは、処理対象のウェイト候補によるビームフォーミングで確立されるチャネルが、上記のCP長を含むフレームを伝送した場合に得られる伝送容量が算出される。この処理が終わると、上記ステップ104の処理が再び実行される。
 全てのウェイト候補について伝送容量が算出されると、上記ステップ104の条件が成立する。この場合、次に、算出済みの全ての伝送容量の中から最大の伝送容量が抽出される(ステップ112)。更に、抽出された最大伝送容量を生じさせるウェイトとCP長が、無線通信に用いるパラメータとして決定される。
 以後、送信局10では、決定されたウェイトとCP長を用いて上空アンテナ12のそれぞれから送信する信号が生成される(ステップ114)。そして、上記ウェイトに対応するビームフォーミングが施された状態で、空間多重伝送(MIMO伝送)の手法により、上空アンテナ12から地上アンテナ32に向けて無線信号が送出される(ステップ116)。
[アンテナ部および受信局で実行される処理の流れ]
 図9は、本実施形態において、上記の機能を実現するためにアンテナ部30および受信局40において実行される処理の流れを説明するためのフローチャートである。図9に示すルーチンでは、先ず、ビームフォーミングの照射対象とされた一つ以上の地上アンテナ32により無線信号が受信される(ステップ120)。
 次に、地上アンテナ32で受信された信号が、有線または無線の経路を介して受信局40に伝送される(ステップ122)。
 受信局40では、複数の受信部42を経由して集まった複数の信号が合成部44において合成される。受信局40には、その合成に先立ってCP長の情報が送信局10から提供されている。送信局10はその情報を、例えば、無線信号の送信に先立って送信してもよいし、無線信号のヘッダに含めて送信してもよい。合成部44は、CP長の情報に基づいて最先信号のCPと重なる期間を無視したうえで、集まった複数の信号を合成する。これにより合成部44では、疑似的なマルチパス信号が生成される(ステップ124)。
 以後、受信局40では、時間と周波数に関する等化処理が実行される(ステップ126)。次いで、MIMO復調が実行される(ステップ128)。以上の処理により、送信局10と受信局40との間での空間多重伝送が実現される。
 本実施形態で実現される空間多重伝送は、現実の環境下で最大の伝送容量を実現するものとして決定されたウェイトとCP長の組み合わせを用いて実施される。このため、本実施形態の無線通信システムによれば、全ての地上アンテナ32を常に受信アンテナとして稼働させることとして固定値のCP長を用いる場合に比して、大きな伝送容量を確保することができる。
[実施の形態1の変形例]
 図10は、本開示の実施の形態1の変形例を説明するための図である。図10に示すシステムは、地上に配置される基地局50と、基地局50との通信を確立する端末装置52を含んでいる。基地局50および端末装置52は、MIMO通信に対応しているものとする。また、基地局50はビームフォーミングの機能を備えているものとする。
 上述した実施の形態1では、広域に分散配置される複数の地上アンテナ32を用いるNTNを想定しているが、本開示はこれに限定されるものではない。ビームフォーミングの機能を用いて最適なCP長を設定する手法は、図10に示すような、地上に配置される移動通信システムに適用してもよい。
 すなわち、図10に示すような無線通信システムでは、基地局50が広指向のビームフォーミングを行うと、端末装置52に到達するマルチパス信号に大きな伝搬遅延差が生じ易い。他方、基地局50が狭指向のビームフォーミングを行うと、端末装置52に到達するマルチパス信号に重畳する伝搬遅延差は小さくなる。そして、広指向のビームフォーミングで形成されるチャネルと狭指向のビームフォーミングで形成されるチャネルは、それぞれ異なる伝送容量を生じさせることがある。
 このため、図10に示す変形例において、基地局50は、採用できる複数のウェイト候補のそれぞれについて伝搬遅延を排除するのに必要なCP長を計算することができる。また、それぞれのウェイト候補とCP長に組み合わせに対応する伝送容量を推定することができる。そして、最大の伝送容量を生じさせるウェイトとCP長の組み合わせを採用することで、基地局50と端末装置52との間に、実施の形態1の場合と同様に、現実の状況に則した最大の伝送容量を確保することができる。
 尚、図10に示す変形例では、マルチパス伝搬の過程で複数の経路が無線区間において合成される。このため、実施の形態1において受信局40に搭載した合成部44の機能は、必ずしも変形例の端末装置52に搭載する必要はない。

Claims (4)

  1.  複数の送信アンテナを用いて無線信号を送信する送信局と、複数の受信アンテナに到達した受信信号を集約して処理する受信局とを含む無線通信システムであって、
     前記送信局は、
     前記無線信号の照射範囲を可変とするビームフォーミングの機能を有し、
     前記ビームフォーミングに用いるウェイト候補を複数設定する処理と、
     前記複数のウェイト候補のそれぞれについて、前記受信信号に重畳する伝搬遅延時間差を除去するためのCP長を設定する処理と、
     前記ウェイト候補と、当該ウェイト候補について設定された前記CP長とを用いる前記無線信号によって達成される伝送容量を推定する処理と、
     前記伝送容量を最大とするウェイト候補とCP長の組み合わせ用いて前記複数の送信アンテナからビームフォーミングが施された無線信号を送出する処理と、を実行するように構成され、
     前記受信局は、
     前記複数の受信アンテナの一部または全てに到達した受信信号に、前記CP長に基づく無視区間を設定する処理と、
     前記無視区間を無視することで前記受信信号から伝搬遅延時間の影響を排除する処理と、
     前記伝搬遅延時間の影響が排除された前記受信信号に等化処理および空間多重伝送復調処理を施して前記無線信号を復元する処理と、を実行するように構成された
     無線通信システム。
  2.  受信信号を受信局に提供するための複数の受信アンテナに向けて、複数の送信アンテナを用いて無線信号を送信する無線通信装置であって、
     前記無線信号の照射範囲を可変とするビームフォーミングの機能を有し、
     前記ビームフォーミングに用いるウェイト候補を複数設定する処理と、
     前記複数のウェイト候補のそれぞれについて、前記受信信号に重畳する伝搬遅延時間差を除去するためのCP長を設定する処理と、
     前記ウェイト候補と、当該ウェイト候補について設定された前記CP長とを用いる前記無線信号によって達成される伝送容量を推定する処理と、
     前記伝送容量を最大とするウェイト候補とCP長の組み合わせ用いて前記複数の送信アンテナからビームフォーミングが施された無線信号を送出する処理と、
     を実行するように構成された無線通信装置。
  3.  複数の送信アンテナを用いて無線信号を送信する送信局と、前記無線信号を受信信号に変換する複数の受信アンテナとの間で空間多重伝送を実現するための無線通信方法であって、
     前記送信局は、前記無線信号の照射範囲を可変とするビームフォーミングの機能を有し、
     前記ビームフォーミングに用いるウェイト候補を複数設定するステップと、
     前記複数のウェイト候補のそれぞれについて、前記受信信号に重畳する伝搬遅延時間差を除去するためのCP長を設定するステップと、
     前記ウェイト候補と、当該ウェイト候補について設定された前記CP長とを用いる前記無線信号によって達成される伝送容量を推定するステップと、
     前記送信局が、前記伝送容量を最大とするウェイト候補とCP長の組み合わせ用いて前記複数の送信アンテナからビームフォーミングが施された無線信号を送出するステップと、
     前記複数の受信アンテナの一部または全てに到達した受信信号に、前記CP長に基づく無視区間を設定するステップと、
     前記無視区間を無視することで前記受信信号から伝搬遅延時間の影響を排除するステップと、
     前記伝搬遅延時間の影響が排除された前記受信信号に等化処理および空間多重伝送復調処理を施して前記無線信号を復元するステップと、
     を含む無線通信方法。
  4.  受信信号を受信局に提供するための複数の受信アンテナに向けて、複数の送信アンテナから無線信号を送信させる処理を送信局に実行させるためのコンピュータ読み取り可能な無線通信用プログラムであって、
     前記送信局は、前記無線信号の照射範囲を可変とするビームフォーミングの機能を有し、
     前記ビームフォーミングに用いるウェイト候補を複数設定させる処理と、
     前記複数のウェイト候補のそれぞれについて、前記受信信号に重畳する伝搬遅延時間差を除去するためのCP長を設定させる処理と、
     前記ウェイト候補と、当該ウェイト候補について設定された前記CP長とを用いる前記無線信号によって達成される伝送容量を推定させる処理と、
     前記伝送容量を最大とするウェイト候補とCP長の組み合わせ用いて前記複数の送信アンテナからビームフォーミングが施された無線信号を送出させる処理と、
     を前記送信局に実行させるプログラムを含む無線通信用プログラム。
