Abstract

固体電池システム(1)は、正極層および負極層と、正極層と負極層との間に配置された固体電解質層と、を有する1以上の電池セル(11)を積層させた固体電池モジュール(10)と、固体電池モジュール(10)の面圧分布を測定する面圧測定装置(20)と、固体電池モジュール(10)の充放電を制御する制御部(100)とを備える。制御部(100)は、面圧測定装置(20)により面圧分布が測定された場合、固体電池モジュール(10)の面圧分布における面圧の低い低面圧部と、面圧の高い高面圧部と、の面圧の差が第1閾値以上であることを検知すると、基準電流値以上で放電を実施する。

Description

固体電池システムおよび固体電池モジュールの回復方法
 本発明は、固体電池システムおよび固体電池モジュールの回復方法に関する。
 固体電池は、電解質層を含めて固体の材料により構成される二次電池であり、正極層および負極層と、正極層と負極層との間に配置された固体電解質層と、を備える。固体電池では、一般に、正極層と負極層との間でリチウムイオンが移動することにより、充放電が行われる。
 特許文献1は、活物質含有層の外縁部におけるリチウム拡散係数が、活物質含有層の外縁部を除く中心部におけるリチウム拡散係数より高い電極を備える固体電池を開示する。

 特許文献1に記載の固体電池では、リチウムの拡散係数の高い層を外縁部に設けることで、外縁部での反応を促し面内の圧力差がつきにくくなる。しかしながら、中心部におけるリチウム拡散係数が外縁部におけるリチウム拡散係数より小さいと、中心部でのリチウムの拡散が遅くなり、性能の低下につながる。また、中心部と外縁部とでリチウムの拡散係数の異なる素材を使用するため、製造が困難である。また、面内のSOC(State Of Charge)差は中央部から外周部リチウムの拡散へ向かって放射状に発生するとは限らない。面内のSOC差が大きい場合、電池モジュールとしての耐久性の低下、充電時における電極の短絡等の問題が発生する可能性がある。従って、固体電池の面内のSOC差を容易に解消することが求められている。
 本発明は、上記実情に鑑みてなされたものであり、面内のSOC差を容易に解消できる固体電池システムおよび固体電池モジュールの回復方法を提供することを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するために、本発明に係る固体電池システムは、正極層および負極層と、正極層と負極層との間に配置された固体電解質層と、を有する1以上の電池セルを積層させた固体電池モジュールと、固体電池モジュールの面圧分布を測定する面圧測定装置と、固体電池モジュールの充放電を制御する制御部と、を備え、制御部は、面圧測定装置により面圧分布が測定された場合、固体電池モジュールの面圧分布における面圧の低い低面圧部と、面圧の高い高面圧部と、の面圧の差が第1閾値以上であることを検知すると、基準電流値以上で放電を実施する。
 本発明によれば、面内のSOC差を容易に解消できる固体電池システムおよび固体電池モジュールの回復方法を提供することが可能となる。

 図面を参照しながら、本発明の実施の形態に係る固体電池システムおよび固体電池モジュールの回復方法を説明する。各図面においては、同一又は同等の部分に同一の符号を付す。
(実施の形態)
 本発明の実施の形態に係る固定電池システムは、固体電池モジュールを回復する制御が可能なものである。固体電池モジュールは、正極層および負極層と、正極層と負極層との間に配置された固体電解質層と、を有する1以上の電池セルを積層させたものである。固体電池システム1は、例えば、複数モジュールで車両の駆動用バッテリーを構成し、電気自動車、ハイブリット車等の車両に搭載される。
 図1は、本実施の形態に係る固体電池システム1の構成を示す図である。図1に示すように、固体電池システム1は、固体電池モジュール10と、固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を測定する面圧測定装置20と、固体電池モジュール10の温度を計測する温度計30と、固体電池モジュール10の充電率であるSOC(State Of Charge)を計測するSOC計測計40と、固体電池モジュール10の充放電を制御する制御部100と、を備える。固体電池システム1には外部電源200が接続される。外部電源200は、固体電池システム1に対して充放電可能な他のバッテリーまたは商用電源である。
 固体電池モジュール10は、1または複数の電池セル11を備える。図2は、本実施の形態に係る電池セル11を示す断面図である。電池セル11は、図2に示すように、正極層12および負極層13と、正極層12と負極層13との間に配置された固体電解質層14と、を備える。電池セル11は、全固体電池であってもよく、固体電解質層14が一部に液体電解質、ゲル、またはポリマー電解質などを含むものであってもよい。
 正極層12は、充電時にリチウムイオンを放出し、放電時にリチウムイオンを吸蔵する正極活物質を備える。正極活物質としては、例えば、リチウム金属複合酸化物などを用いることができる。リチウム金属複合酸化物としては、例えば、Li(Ni-Mn-Co)O等の層状岩塩型化合物、LiMn等のスピネル型化合物、LiFePO等のオリビン型化合物、並びに、LiFeSiO等のSi含有化合物等が挙げられる。また、正極層12は、導電性を有する板状または箔状の正極集電体層12Aに形成される。
 負極層13は、充電時にリチウムを吸蔵し(あるいはリチウムを析出させ)放電時にリチウムイオンを放出する負極活物質を備える。負極活物質は、例えば、金属リチウム、または、リチウムを含有するリチウム合金であってもよい。リチウム合金としては、たとえば、リチウムと、ケイ素(Si)、スズ(Sn)、金(Au)、マグネシウム(M g)、アルミニウム(Al)、カルシウム(Ca)、亜鉛(Zn)、ビスマス(Bi)から選択される少なくとも1種の金属と、の合金が挙げられる。また、リチウム合金としては、リチウムと、上述した金属のうち2種以上の金属との合金であってもよく、ケイ素またはスズを含む化合物(酸化物、窒化物、他の金属との合金)等であってもよい。また、負極層13は、導電性を有する板状または箔状の負極集電体層13Aに形成される。本実施の形態においては、負極活物質として、金属リチウムを含有する負極層13について説明するが、金属リチウムに変えて、リチウム合金を用いても同様の効果が得られる。
 固体電解質層14は、正極層12と負極層13との間に配置され、正極層12と負極層13とに接触している。固体電解質層14は、硫化物固体電解質または酸化物固体電解質を含む。
 電池セル11の正極集電体層12Aおよび負極集電体層13Aには、それぞれ入出力端子が接続される。図1に示すように、複数の電池セル11は、扁平形状に形成され、積層した状態で外装部材により封止される。複数の電池セル11の間には弾性体15が設置されてもよい。固体電池モジュール10の電池セル11は充電すると膨張し、放電すると収縮するため、弾性体15を設置することにより充放電による変位を吸収することができる。なお、弾性体15は必ずしも全ての電池セル11の間に設ける必要はない。
 複数の電池セル11を積層させた積層体の上面及び下面にはセル拘束板16A、16Bが設置され、セル拘束板16A、16Bと、セル拘束板16Aとセル拘束板16Bとの間を接続する固定柱17と、により積層体の位置を保持するとともに、積層方向に拘束圧力を印加した状態で固定される。
 面圧測定装置20は、固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を測定し、面圧分布を示すデータを制御部100に出力する。これにより、固体電池モジュール10における面圧の低い低面圧部LPと、面圧の高い高面圧部HPと、が検出される。面圧測定装置20は、固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を測定できるものであれば特に限定されず、面圧センサにより面圧分布を測定してもよく、固体電池モジュール10のたわみを測定するひずみゲージを用いてもよい。また、低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPとの面圧に差がある場合、セルを拘束するセル拘束板16A、16Bが平行でない可能性がある。このため、面圧測定装置20は、固体電池モジュール10のセル拘束板16A、16B間の距離を測定するセンサにより面圧分布を測定することも考えられる。図3は、本実施の形態に係る電池セル11を示す断面図である。図3に示すように、電池セル11の負極層13に厚みが小さい部分と大きい部分が発生する場合がある。この原因の一つとして、電池モジュール10の充放電時に電池モジュール10が傾いて配置されることによると考えられる。電池セル11の負極層13に厚みが小さい部分と大きい部分が発生すると、電池セル11に面圧の低い低面圧部LPと、面圧の高い高面圧部HPと、が生じ、面圧測定装置20により、低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、して検出される。低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が大きい場合には、電池モジュール10としての耐久性の低下、充電時における電極の短絡等の問題が発生する可能性がある。
 温度計30は、所定の電池セル11の温度を計測し、固体電池モジュール10の温度として、計測した温度を示すデータを制御部100に出力する。温度計30は、複数の電池セル11に設けられていてもよい。
 SOC計測計40は、固体電池モジュール10の充電率であるSOCを計測し、計測したSOCを示すデータを制御部100に対して出力する。SOC計測計40は、固体電池モジュール10の入出力端子に接続されており、固体電池モジュール10の充電率を計測する計測器を備える。なお、SOC計測計40は、制御部100に内蔵された構成であってもよい。
 制御部100は、固体電池モジュール10の充放電を制御するものである。制御部100は、面圧測定装置20により測定された固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布における低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が第1閾値以上となることを検知すると、基準電流値以上で放電を実施し、面内のSOC差により発生した面内の圧力差を解消する。図4は、制御部100のハードウェア構成例を示した図である。図4の例において、制御部100は、プロセッサ1011と、記憶部1012と、通信インタフェース(図中、通信I/Fと示す)1013と、を備える。
 プロセッサ1011は、例えばCPU(Central Processing Unit:中央算出装置)及びその周辺回路を備え、各種演算処理を実行する。プロセッサ1011は、記憶部1012に記憶された制御プログラムを実行する。プロセッサ1011は、CPUのワーキングメモリとして機能するRAM(Random Access Memory)等の揮発性の半導体メモリを備えてもよい。また、プロセッサ1011は、論理演算ユニット、数値演算ユニット等の演算回路を更に備えてもよい。
 記憶部1012は、例えば、EEPROM(Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory)、フラッシュメモリ等の不揮発性の半導体メモリを備える。記憶部1012は、プロセッサ1011が実行する制御プログラム及びプロセッサ1011の演算処理に用いる各種データを記憶する。
 通信インタフェース1013は、面圧測定装置20、温度計30およびSOC計測計40と通信接続するためのインタフェースである。通信インタフェース1013は、面圧測定装置20、温度計30およびSOC計測計40からセンサ信号を取得してプロセッサ1011に渡し、また、プロセッサ1011が生成した外部電源200の制御信号を出力する。
 プロセッサ1011は、記憶部1012に記憶されている制御プログラムを実行することにより、図1に示すように、異常検出部101と、充放電制御部102と、判定部103として機能する。なお、図1の制御部100には、本実施の形態に係る機能部のみ表しているが、制御部100は、他の制御、または判定の機能を有してもよい。
 異常検出部101は、固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータに基づいて、固体電池モジュール10の異常を検出する。具体的には、異常検出部101は、面圧測定装置20により測定された固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータを取得し、図3に示す固体電池モジュール10における面圧の低い低面圧部LPと、面圧の高い高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が第1閾値以上であるか否かにより異常であるか否かを判定する。低面圧部LPおよび高面圧部HPは、面全体の面圧分布を数値化し、標準偏差σなどを用いて、特定してもよい。例えば、面圧の平均値-σ以下の面圧部分を低面圧部LP、面圧の平均値+σ以上の面圧部分をおよび高面圧部HPとしてもよい。また、面圧分布の標準偏差σが一定値以上である場合、低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が第1閾値以上であと判定してもよい。
 充放電制御部102は、固体電池モジュール10の充放電を制御し、異常検出部101による異常検出時に、固体電池モジュール10の異常を回復させるための基準電流値および最大基準電流値を算出する。具体的には、充放電制御部102は、温度計30により測定された固体電池モジュール10の温度を示すデータとSOC計測計40により計測された固体電池モジュール10のSOCを示すデータを取得し、固体電池モジュール10の温度T、SOC、低面圧部LPの面圧σに基づいて基準電流値を算出する。また、充放電制御部102は、電池セル11の負極層13における高面圧部HPの金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の界面が剥離しない最大基準電流値を算出する。高面圧部HPの界面が剥離する最大基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10の温度T、SOC、高面圧部HPの面圧σに基づいて算出される。以上のように、基準電流値および最大基準電流値を算出すると、充放電制御部102は、固体電池モジュール10から基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値以下の電流値で放電する。また、充放電制御部102は、固体電池モジュール10が回復すると、固体電池モジュール10に充電する。
 判定部103は、面圧測定装置20により測定された固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータを取得し、固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータに基づいて、固体電池モジュール10が回復したか否かを判定する。具体的には、低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの面圧の差が予め設定した正常値以下であるか否かにより判定する。
 以下、固体電池モジュール10および電池セル11に発生した面圧の低い低面圧部LPと、面圧の高い高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差を小さくして、固体電池モジュール10を回復させる原理について説明する。
 図3に示すように、面内のSOC差が発生し、電池セル11の負極層13に厚みが小さい部分と大きい部分が発生する場合がある。これにより、電池セル11に面圧の低い低面圧部LPと、面圧の高い高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が生じる。低面圧部LPは、相対的にSOCが小さい部分であり、高面圧部HPは、相対的にSOCが大きい部分である。低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が大きい場合には、電池モジュール10としての耐久性の低下、充電時における電極の短絡等の問題が発生する可能性がある。このため、低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差を小さくして、固体電池モジュール10を回復させる必要がある。
 固体電池モジュール10の回復は、電池セル11の負極層13における低面圧部LPの金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の界面が剥離する基準電流値以上で放電を行うことにより実施する。低面圧部LPの界面が剥離する基準電流値は、金属リチウムのクリープ変形速度によって決まる。金属リチウムを用いた負極においては放電時に金属リチウムの溶解が伴うため、界面での接触が悪くなりやすい。金属リチウムのクリープ変形によって、界面での接触を保っているが、面圧、温度、SOCが低いほど、クリープ変形量が小さくなり、接触の悪化が発生しやすい。具体的には、基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10の温度T、SOC、低面圧部LPの面圧σに依存し、以下の式(1)に基づいて設定される。

 ここで、j:電流密度、σ:低面圧部LPの面圧、温度:T、SOC:充電状態、AおよびB:固体電池モジュール10ごとに実験などで得られる定数である。なお、温度Tは、低面圧部LPの温度であることが好ましい。また、SOCは、低面圧部LPの充電状態であることが好ましい。基準電流値以上で放電することで、低面圧部LPにおいて金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の剥離を生じさせる。低面圧部LPはクリープ変形が発生しづらく、基準電流値以上の電流を流すことで、クリープ変形が発生しやすい高面圧部HPに放電電流が集中する。図5は、本実施の形態に係る放電後の電池セル11を示す断面図である。高面圧部HPの金属リチウムを積極的に放出させることで、図5に示すように、低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が小さくなり、固体電池モジュール10の回復が実施される。
 電池セル11の負極層13における高面圧部HPの金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の界面が剥離する電流値で放電を行うと、高面圧部HPの界面が剥離し、高面圧部HPにおいても金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の接触が悪くなり、放電できなくなる虞がある。このため、電池セル11の負極層13における高面圧部HPの金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の界面が剥離しない電流値以下で放電を行うことが好ましい。高面圧部HPの界面が剥離する最大基準電流値は、金属リチウムのクリープ変形速度によって決まる。例えば、最大基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10の温度T、SOC、高面圧部HPの面圧σに依存し、以下の式(2)に基づいて設定される。

 ここで、j:電流密度、σ:高面圧部HPの面圧、温度:T、SOC:充電状態、AおよびB:固体電池モジュール10ごとに実験などで得られる定数である。なお、温度Tは、高面圧部HPの温度であることが好ましい。また、SOCは、高面圧部HPの充電状態であることが好ましい。
 上述したように、基準電流値以上最大基準電流値以下で放電することで、クリープ変形が発生しやすく、相対的にSOCが大きい高面圧部HPに放電電流が集中し、高面圧部HPの金属リチウムが放出される。これにより、図5に示すように、高面圧部HPの負極層13の厚みが薄くなることで、面内のSOC差が解消され、固体電池モジュール10の回復が実施される。
 以上のように構成された固体電池システム1による固体電池モジュール10の回復方法の手順について、図6に示すフローチャートに沿って詳細に説明する。図6は制御部100のプロセッサ1011が実行する回復処理のフローチャートである。回復処理は、固体電池システム1が外部電源200に接続された状態で充電中に一定期間毎に実行される。なお、任意のタイミングで固体電池モジュール10の異常判定および回復をするために実行してもよい
 まず、制御部100の異常検出部101は、面圧測定装置20により測定された固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータを取得し(ステップS101)、面圧分布を示すデータを記憶部1012に記憶する。
 異常検出部101は、固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータに基づいて、固体電池モジュール10の異常を検出する(ステップS102)。具体的には、異常検出部101は、図3に示す固体電池モジュール10における面圧の低い低面圧部LPと、面圧の高い高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が第1閾値以上であるか否かにより異常であるか否かを判定する。
 固体電池モジュール10に異常が検出されない場合(ステップS102;No)、回復処理を終了する。
 一方、固体電池モジュール10に異常が検出された場合(ステップS102;Yes)、充放電制御部102は、温度計30により測定された固体電池モジュール10の温度を示すデータを取得する(ステップS103)。
 つぎに、充放電制御部102は、SOC計測計40により計測された固体電池モジュール10のSOCを示すデータを取得する(ステップS104)。なお、ステップS103とステップS104の順序は限定されず、ステップS104の後にステップS103を実施してもよい。
 つぎに、充放電制御部102は、基準電流値を算出する(ステップS105)。基準電流値は、電池セル11の負極層13における低面圧部LPの金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の界面が剥離する電流値である。具体的には、基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10の温度T、SOC、低面圧部LPの面圧σに依存し、上述した式(1)に基づいて算出される。
 つぎに、充放電制御部102は、最大基準電流値を算出する(ステップS106)。上述したように、電池セル11の負極層13における高面圧部HPの金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の界面が剥離しない電流値以下で放電を行うことが好ましい。高面圧部HPの界面が剥離する最大基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10の温度T、SOC、高面圧部HPの面圧σに依存し、上述した式(2)に基づいて算出される。高面圧部HPの面圧σは、ステップS101で取得した固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータに基づいて得られる。なお、ステップS105とステップS106の順序は限定されず、ステップS106の後にステップS105を実施してもよい。
 つぎに、充放電制御部102は、固体電池モジュール10から基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値以下の電流値で放電する(ステップS107)。例えば、充放電制御部102は、基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値の平均値で放電してもよく、回復速度を考慮し、最大基準電流値に近い電流値で放電してもよい。また実験等でこの範囲内の適切な値を決めてもよい。放電した電力は、外部電源200に供給される。基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値以下で放電を行うことで、回復にかかる時間が短くでき、効率よく固体電池モジュール10の回復が実施される。
 つぎに、判定部103は、面圧測定装置20により測定された固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータを取得し(ステップS108)、取得した面圧分布を示すデータを記憶部1012に記憶する。
 判定部103は、固体電池モジュール10の面圧分布を示すデータに基づいて、固体電池モジュール10が回復したか否かを判定する(ステップS109)。具体的には、低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの面圧の差が予め設定した正常値以下であるか否かにより判定する。
 固体電池モジュール10が回復していないと判別された場合(ステップS109;No)、固体電池モジュール10が回復するまで、ステップS107~ステップS109を繰り返す。
 一方、図5に示すように、高面圧部HPの金属リチウムが放出され、固体電池モジュール10の低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの面圧の差が予め設定した正常値以下になり、面内のSOC差が解消され、固体電池モジュール10が回復すると(ステップS109;Yes)、充放電制御部102は、固体電池モジュール10に充電を開始する(ステップS110)。なお、充電中に回復処理を実施した場合は、充電を再開する。その後、回復処理を終了する。
 以上説明したように、本実施の形態に係る固体電池システムおよび固体電池モジュールの回復方法は、固体電池モジュール10における面圧の低い低面圧部LPと、面圧の高い高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が第1閾値以上である場合、基準電流値以上で放電することで、固体電池モジュール10の面内のSOC差を容易に解消でき、固体電池モジュール10の回復が実施される。また、電池セル11の負極層13における高面圧部HPの金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の界面が剥離しないように、最大基準電流値以下で放電を行う。また、低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの面圧の差が予め設定した正常値以下になった後充電することで、低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの面圧の差を小さくすることができる。従って、基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値以下で放電し、固体電池モジュール10の回復にかかる時間が短くでき、効率よく固体電池モジュール10の回復が実施される。
(変形例)
 上記実施の形態は、種々の変更が可能であり、上記実施の形態と、各変型例は任意に組合せ可能である。上述の実施の形態では、基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10の温度T、SOC、低面圧部LPの面圧σを用いて、上述した式(1)に基づいて設定される例について説明した。基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10毎に予め設定されてもよい。この場合、基準電流値は、実験的に得てもよい。また、最大基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10の温度T、SOC、面圧部HPの面圧σを用いて、上述した式(2)に基づいて設定される例について説明した。最大基準電流値は、固体電池モジュール10毎に予め設定されてもよい。この場合、最大基準電流値は、実験的に得てもよい。
 図7は変形例に係る固体電池システム2を示す図である。本変形例に係る固体電池システム2は、上記実施の形態と同様に、正極層12と、負極層13と、固体電解質層14と、を有する1以上の電池セル11を積層させた積層体に拘束圧力を印加した構成を有する、全固体型の電池モジュールであるが、積層体に印加する荷重をコントロールすることにより、拘束圧力の平均値を変更可能とする機能を有する点が上記実施の形態と異なる。
 図7に示すように、本変形例に係る固体電池システム2は、固体電池モジュール60と、面圧測定装置20と、温度計30と、SOC計測計40と、制御部100と、に加えて、更に固体電池モジュール60の積層体に付加する荷重を制御する面圧制御装置90を備える。また、制御部100は、上記実施の形態の機能に加えて、面圧制御装置90を制御することにより電池セル11に付加する拘束圧力の平均値を制御する圧力制御部104を更に備える。制御部100のハードウェア構成と、異常検出部101、充放電制御部102、判定部103の機能は上記実施の形態と同様である。
 電池モジュール60は、積層した複数の電池セル11の上下に設けられたセル拘束板16A~16C、加圧板18、及び弾性体19が電池セル11に荷重を付与するアクティブ型モジュールである。加圧板18は、面圧制御装置90から送信される制御信号に基づき、固体電池モジュール60に含まれる電池セル11の積層方向に向かって荷重を印加する。
 加圧板18は電池セル11の積層体の上部に設けられている。加圧板18はアクチュエータ(図示しない)に接続されており、アクチュエータからの動力により上下に移動できる。アクチュエータは、サーボモータにより加圧板18を移動させてもよく、液体または気体を含む流体により加圧板18を移動させてもよい。弾性体19は複数の加圧板18の間に設けられ、加圧板18から受ける荷重を、電池セル11の積層体に伝える部材である。
 電池セル11に拘束圧力を印加する場合には、一対の加圧板18のうち上側の加圧板18が複数の電池セル11に近づくように、固定柱17に沿って上側の加圧板18の位置が下がる。上側の加圧板18の移動により、加圧板18からの荷重が、弾性体19及び下側の加圧板18を介して、複数の電池セル11の積層体に伝わる。また、電池セル11の拘束圧力を下げる場合には、上側の加圧18が複数の電池セル11から遠ざかるように、固定柱17に沿って上側の加圧板18の位置が上がる。
 このようにして、固体電池モジュール60は、制御部100が出力する制御指令に基づく面圧制御装置90の制御信号により、電池セル11に印加される荷重を調整することができる。なお、印加される荷重を調整する機構は、図7に示す機構に限らず、他の機構でもよい。
 固体電池モジュール60は更に、積層体の下方に荷重センサ50を備え、荷重センサ50の出力をモニタすることにより、電池セル11に加わる拘束圧力(面圧)の平均値を測定することができる。
 図8は、固体電池モジュール60の拘束圧力(面圧)と内部抵抗の関係を示す図である。図8に示すように、拘束圧力が運転面圧範囲では、固体電池モジュール60の内部抵抗は、一定である。運転面圧範囲は、固体電池モジュール60の充放電時に付与される拘束圧力の範囲である。拘束圧力が運転面圧範囲の下限値以下では、負極層13の金属リチウムと、固体電解質層14と、の接触が弱くなり、内部抵抗が大きくなる。また、負極層13の金属リチウムの放電時の剥離は面圧が低いほど大きくなり、低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの電流分配が発生しやすいため、少ない放電量で分布の解消ができる。このため、より効率的に高面圧部HPの金属リチウムを積極的に放電させることができ、低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が小さくなり、固体電池モジュール60の回復が実施される。
 具体的には、充放電制御部102が、基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値以下の電流値で固体電池モジュール60から電力を放電する際、圧力制御部104は、面圧制御装置90を制御して、電池セル11に加わる拘束圧力を運転面圧範囲の下限値に設定する。この場合、充放電制御部102は、固体電池モジュール60から放電する放電量を、基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値以下の間で、拘束圧力を制御しない場合より少なく設定してもよい。このようにすることで、少ない放電量で固体電池モジュール60の回復が実施される。
 図9は変形例に係る固体電池システム3を示す図である。本変形例に係る固体電池システム3は、上記実施の形態と同様に、正極層12および負極層13と、正極層12と負極層13との間に配置された固体電解質層14を有する1以上の電池セル11を積層させた構成を有する、全固体型の電池モジュールであるが、固体電池モジュール70の温度を調整する機能を有する点が上記実施の形態と異なる。
 図9に示すように、本変形例に係る固体電池システム3は、固体電池モジュール70と、面圧測定装置20と、温度計30と、SOC計測計40と、制御部100と、に加えて、更に固体電池モジュール70の温度を調整する温度調整装置80を備える。また、制御部100は、上記実施の形態の機能に加えて、温度制御装置80を制御することにより固体電池モジュール70の温度を調整する温度制御部105を更に備える。制御部100のハードウェア構成と、異常検出部101、充放電制御部102、判定部103の機能は上記実施の形態と同様である。
 温度制御装置80は、温度制御部105により制御され、水冷または空冷により固体電池モジュール70を冷却する機能を有する。また、温度制御装置80は、ヒータなどにより固体電池モジュール70を加熱する機能を有してもよい。
 面圧感度は低温の方が大きいため、低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPの電流分配比は低温の方が大きくなる。一方、低温の方が固体電池モジュール70全体の内部抵抗が大きいため印加可能な電流自体が小さくなる。低温にすることによる低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPの電流分配比率の増大と、印加できる電流の低下を天秤にかけ、短時間で、固体電池モジュール70の低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が予め設定した正常値以下にできる温度を算出し、その温度で固体電池モジュール70の回復を行うことが好ましい。
 温度制御部105は、短時間で、固体電池モジュール70の低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差が予め設定した正常値以下にできる温度を面圧およびSOCに基づいて算出し、温度制御装置80を制御し、固体電池モジュール70を算出した温度に設定する。固体電池モジュール70が算出した温度に設定されると、充放電制御部102は、基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値以下の電流値で固体電池モジュール70から電力を放電する。このようにすることで、より短時間で固体電池モジュール70の回復を行うことができる。なお、固体電池システム3は、さらに、固体電池システム2が備える面圧制御装置90を備え、制御部100が圧力制御部104を備えてもよい。
 上述の実施の形態では、異常検出部101が、低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの面圧の差が第1閾値以上である場合、異常であると判定する例について説明した。異常検出部101は、面圧測定装置20により測定された固体電池モジュール10、60、70の面圧分布における低面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの面圧の差が、第1閾値以上より小さい第2閾値以上であるか否かを検出してもよい。異常検出部101が、面圧部LPと高面圧部HPとの面圧の差が第2閾値以上であると判定すると、充放電制御部102は、予め設定した基準SOCより低いSOC範囲において放電を実施する。低いSOC範囲の方が高レートで放電時の面圧感度が高く、効率的な回復ができる。緊急性を要しない注意レベルの異常においても、面圧感度の大きい低いSOC範囲で放電操作を行い、固体電池モジュール10、60、70の回復を行うことができる。
 図10は、固体電池モジュール10、60、70のSOC-放電DCR(Direct Current Resistance)の関係を示す図である。図10に示すように、放電DCRは、下に凸のカーブであり、SOCが0%と100%で大きい値を有する。放電DCRが最小値(極小値)を取るSOC以上での放電では、高面圧部HPにおける放電が小さく、低面圧部LPと、高面圧部HPと、の面圧の差を小さくすることが困難である。従って、基準SOCは、放電DCRが最小値を取るSOC以下であることが好ましい。このようにすることで、緊急性を要しない注意レベルの異常においても、容易に固体電池モジュール10、60、70の回復を行うことができる。
 図11は、変形例に係る電池セル11を示す断面図である。電池セル11は、図11に示すように、負極層13と固体電解質層14との間にさらに負極中間層13Bを含んでいてもよい。負極中間層13Bは、析出型の全固体電池において、固体電解質層14の保護等を目的として設けられる層である。析出型の全固体電池とは、充電時に、金属リチウムが固体電解質層14と負極集電体層13Aとの間に析出するように構成された二次電池である。析出型の全固体電池では、析出した金属リチウムが負極活物質として機能する。ただし、析出した金属リチウムが固体電解質層14と直接接触すると、固体電解質層14が損傷する場合がある。そのため、固体電解質層14と負極集電体層13Aとの間に、負極中間層13Bが設けられる。負極中間層13Bの存在により、固体電解質層14が金属リチウムから保護される。このような目的で用いられる負極中間層13Bも、本実施形態における負極層13に包含される。なお、負極中間層13Bは、例えば、銀などの金属粒子と、カーボン粒子と、バインダ樹脂とを含む層によって実現できる。また、負極層13が、負極中間層13Bを含む場合であっても、基準電流値以上、最大基準電流値以下で放電を行うことで、上述の実施の形態と同様に、固体電池モジュール10、60、70の回復が実施される。
 また、上記実施の形態及び変形例では、プロセッサ1011が制御プログラムを実行することにより、各機能を実現する例について説明したが、各機能を実現する専用のハードウェアにより制御部100を構成してもよい。
 また、上記実施の形態及び変形例の動作を実行するための制御プログラムを、コンピュータが読み取り可能なCD-ROM(Compact Disc Read-Only Memory)、DVD(Digital Versatile Disc)、MO(Magneto Optical Disc)、メモリカード等の記録媒体に格納して配布し、プログラムをコンピュータにインストールすることにより、各機能を実現することができる検査装置10,11を構成してもよい。そして、各機能をOS(Operating System)とアプリケーションとの分担、又はOSとアプリケーションとの協同により実現する場合には、OS以外の部分のみを記録媒体に格納してもよい。
 本発明は、本発明の広義の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく、様々な実施の形態及び変形が可能とされるものである。また、上述した実施の形態は、本発明を説明するためのものであり、本発明の範囲を限定するものではない。つまり、本発明の範囲は、実施の形態ではなく、請求の範囲によって示される。そして、特許請求の範囲内及びそれと同等の開示の意義の範囲内で施される様々な変形が、本発明の範囲内とみなされる。

  1.  正極層および負極層と、前記正極層と前記負極層との間に配置された固体電解質層と、を有する1以上の電池セルを積層させた固体電池モジュールと、
     前記固体電池モジュールの面圧分布を測定する面圧測定装置と、
     前記固体電池モジュールの充放電を制御する制御部と、
     を備え、
     前記制御部は、前記面圧測定装置により前記面圧分布が測定された場合、前記固体電池モジュールの前記面圧分布における面圧の低い低面圧部と、面圧の高い高面圧部と、の面圧の差が第1閾値以上であることを検知すると、基準電流値以上で放電を実施する、
     固体電池システム。
  2.  前記基準電流値は、前記固体電池モジュール毎に予め設定した値である、

  3.  前記固体電池モジュールの温度を計測する温度計と、
