浮上効果が高い摺動部品を提供する。 一対の摺動面11,21が互いに相対回転する箇所に配置される摺動部品10,20であって、少なくともいずれか一方の摺動面11は、一方の空間S1に連通する深溝部14と、深溝部14の端部から相対回転下流側に延びる浅溝部17と、を有する動圧発生溝13を備え、深溝部14の相対回転上流側の側壁14cは、一方の空間S1から離れるにつれて相対回転下流側に向けて傾斜している。

Description

摺動部品
 本発明は、相対回転する摺動部品に関し、例えば自動車、一般産業機械、あるいはその他のシール分野の回転機械の回転軸を軸封する軸封装置に用いられる摺動部品、または自動車、一般産業機械、あるいはその他の軸受分野の機械の軸受に用いられる摺動部品に関する。
 回転機械において回転軸周辺の被密封流体の漏れを防止する摺動部品として、例えば相対回転し摺動面同士が摺動する一対の環状の摺動環からなるメカニカルシールが知られている。このようなメカニカルシールにおいては、近年、環境対策等のために摺動により失われるエネルギの低減が望まれており、摺動環の摺動面に動圧発生溝が設けられているものがある。
 例えば、特許文献1に示されるメカニカルシールの一方の摺動環の摺動面には、外径側空間に連通し径方向に延びる流体導入溝と、流体導入溝から周方向に延び、流体導入溝よりも浅い動圧発生溝と、が設けられている。一対の摺動環の相対回転時には、外径側空間の高圧流体が流体導入溝から動圧発生溝に流入し、動圧発生溝の閉塞端で動圧を発生させることができる。これにより摺動面同士が僅かに離間し、摺動面同士の潤滑性が向上する。
 また、特許文献2に示されるメカニカルシールは、流体導入溝の一端が漏れ側に連通しており、流体導入溝の他端に動圧発生溝が設けられている。相対回転時には、比較的低圧となる流体導入溝で摺動面間の被密封流体を回収するため、潤滑性と密封性を両立できるようになっている。

 しかしながら、特許文献1のメカニカルシールにあっては、流体導入溝が一対の摺動環の相対回転と略直交する径方向に延びているので、一対の摺動環の相対回転時に外径側空間から流体導入溝内に、また流体導入溝から動圧発生溝に流体を導入しにくく、動圧発生溝による動圧で十分な浮上効果を得ることができない虞があった。また、漏れ側まで潤滑させることを目的とした特許文献2のメカニカルシールでも、流体導入溝で回収された被密封流体を動圧発生溝に導入しにくい虞があった。
 本発明は、このような問題点に着目してなされたもので、浮上効果が高い摺動部品を提供することを目的とする。
 前記課題を解決するために、本発明の摺動部品は、
 一対の摺動面が互いに相対回転する箇所に配置される摺動部品であって、
 少なくともいずれか一方の摺動面は、一方の空間に連通する深溝部と、該深溝部から相対回転下流側に延びる浅溝部と、を有する動圧発生溝を備え、
 前記深溝部の相対回転上流側の側壁は、前記一方の空間から離れるにつれて相対回転下流側に向けて傾斜している。
 これによれば、深溝部の相対回転上流側の側壁に沿って一方の空間から深溝部内および深溝部内から浅溝部に向けて流体が円滑に導入されるので、浅溝部で十分な動圧を発生させることができる。
 前記深溝部の相対回転上流側の側壁の少なくとも一部は、相対回転下流側に向けて凸をなすように湾曲していてもよい。
 これによれば、浅溝部に向けて流体を円滑に導入できる。
 前記深溝部の相対回転下流側の側壁の少なくとも一部は、前記一方の空間から離れるにつれて相対回転下流側に向けて傾斜していてもよい。
 これによれば、深溝部の相対回転両側の側壁に沿って一方の空間から深溝部内および深溝部内から浅溝部に向けて流体を円滑に導入できる。
 前記浅溝部は相対回転下流側に向けて徐々に浅くなっていてもよい。
 これによれば、徐々に圧力を高められる。
 前記浅溝部は他方の空間に向けて徐々に浅くなっていてもよい。
 これによれば、他方の空間側に向けて動圧を発生させることができる。
 前記浅溝部は先端が先細りしていてもよい。
 これによれば、効果的に動圧を発生させることができる。
 前記浅溝部は相対回転下流側に向けて前記一方の空間側に向けて凸をなすように湾曲していてもよい。
 これによれば、周方向と径方向に向けて流体を導くことができる。
 少なくともいずれか一方の摺動面は、他方の空間に連通し先端側で動圧を発生させる別の動圧発生溝を備えていてもよい。
 これによれば、動圧発生溝と別の動圧発生溝とで効果的に動圧を発生させることができる。

 本発明に係る摺動部品を実施するための形態を実施例に基づいて以下に説明する。
 実施例1に係る摺動部品につき、図1から図7を参照して説明する。尚、本実施例においては、摺動部品としてメカニカルシールを例に挙げ説明する。本実施例のメカニカルシールは一方の空間としての外空間S1に例えば漏れ側流体としての空気などの第1流体F1が存在し、他方の空間としての内空間S2に例えば被密封流体としての油などの第2流体F2が存在している。また、説明の便宜上、図面において、摺動面に形成される溝等にドットを付すこともある。
 図1に示されるメカニカルシールは、摺動面の内径側から外径側に向かって漏れようとする第2流体F2を密封するアウトサイド形のものである。すなわち、第2流体F2が第1流体F1よりも高圧となっている例を説明する。
 メカニカルシールは、静止密封環10と、回転密封環20と、から主に構成されている。静止密封環10は、円環状をなし、被取付機器のハウジング4に固定されたシールカバー5に非回転状態かつ軸方向に移動可能な状態で設けられている。回転密封環20は、円環状をなし、回転軸1にスリーブ2を介して回転軸1と共に回転可能な状態で設けられている。弾性部材7によって静止密封環10が軸方向に付勢されている。静止密封環10の摺動面11と回転密封環20の摺動面21とが互いに密接摺動するようになっている。尚、回転密封環20の摺動面21は平坦面となっており、この平坦面には溝等の凹み部が設けられていない。
 静止密封環10および回転密封環20は、代表的にはSiC(硬質材料)同士またはSiC(硬質材料)とカーボン(軟質材料)の組み合わせで形成されるが、これに限らず、摺動材料はメカニカルシール用摺動材料として使用されているものであれば適用可能である。尚、SiCとしては、ボロン、アルミニウム、カーボン等を焼結助剤とした焼結体をはじめ、成分、組成の異なる2種類以上の相からなる材料、例えば、黒鉛粒子の分散したSiC、SiCとSiからなる反応焼結SiC、SiC-TiC、SiC-TiN等があり、カーボンとしては、炭素質と黒鉛質の混合したカーボンをはじめ、樹脂成形カーボン、焼結カーボン等が利用できる。また、上記摺動材料以外では、金属材料、樹脂材料、表面改質材料(コーティング材料)、複合材料等も適用可能である。
 図2に示されるように、回転密封環20は、静止密封環10に対して実線矢印で示されるように反時計回りに相対摺動するようになっている。
 静止密封環10の摺動面11には、複数の動圧発生溝13が周方向に均等に配設されている(本実施例では6個)。尚、摺動面11における動圧発生溝13以外の部分は平坦面を成すランド12となっている。
 動圧発生溝13は、深溝部としての外径側導入溝部14と、外径側導入溝部14より浅い浅溝部としての先端側溝部17と、から構成されている。
 図3に示されるように、外径側導入溝部14は、外空間S1に連通している外径端14bから周方向相対回転下流側かつ径方向内径側に傾斜して内径端14aまで延びている。つまり、外径側導入溝部14の延設方向は、周方向成分と径方向成分を含んでいる。外径側導入溝部14は、相対回転上流側の側壁14cと、相対回転下流側の側壁14dと、底面14eと、から構成されている。外径側導入溝部14は、内径端14aが外径端14bよりも幅広となっている。尚、外径端14bは相対回転上流端、内径端14aは相対回転下流端ともいえる。
 側壁14cは、内径側に向かうにつれて相対回転下流側に向けて傾斜している。具体的には、側壁14cは、内径側が相対回転下流側に凸をなすように湾曲しており、外径側が略直線状となっている。このように、側壁14cは、少なくとも一部が湾曲していればよい。尚、本実施例では、側壁14cの内径側が湾曲する形態を例示したが、側壁14c全体が湾曲していてもよい。
 側壁14dは、内径側に向かうにつれて相対回転下流側に向けて傾斜している。具体的には、側壁14dは、相対回転上流側に凸をなすように湾曲している。
 また、側壁14dの曲率は、側壁14cの曲率よりも大きい。尚、ここでいう曲率とは平均曲率を指す。以下同様である。
 先端側溝部17は、外径側導入溝部14における内径端14aから周方向相対回転下流側かつ径方向内径側に傾斜して先端17Baまで延びている。つまり、先端側溝部17の延設方向は、周方向成分と径方向成分を含んでいる。先端側溝部17は、外径側導入溝部14の内径端14aに連通する合流部17Aと、該合流部17Aから相対回転下流側に延びる先端部17Bと、を備えている。尚、本実施例の先端部17Bは、後述のように正圧発生領域であり、合流部17Aは先端部17Bよりも相対回転上流側の非正圧発生領域である。
 先端側溝部17は、軸方向視で合流部17Aから先端部17Bに向けて正回転方向に先細りしている。先端部17Bの先端17Baは、摺動面11の径方向中央部近傍に配置されている。
 先端側溝部17は、外径側導入溝部14よりも延設方向における周方向の成分が径方向の成分よりも大きく、外径側導入溝部14は、先端側溝部17よりも延設方向における径方向の成分が周方向の成分よりも大きい。言い換えれば、外径側導入溝部14は、先端側溝部17に比べ径方向に沿って配置され、先端側溝部17は、外径側導入溝部14に比べ周方向に沿って配置されている。そのため、外径側導入溝部14の周方向寸法を抑えて、先端側溝部17の周方向寸法を外径側導入溝部14の周方向寸法よりも周方向に長く形成することができる。これにより、動圧発生溝13を周方向に多く配置することができる。
 先端側溝部17の外径側の側壁17aは、外径側に凸を成す略円弧状であり、その曲率は外径側導入溝部14の側壁14cの曲率および外径側導入溝部14の側壁14dの曲率よりも小さく緩やかである。
 先端側溝部17の内径側の側壁17bは、外径側に凸を成す略円弧状であり、その曲率は先端側溝部17の外径側の側壁17aの曲率よりも小さく緩やかである。
 図4は、外径側導入溝部14から先端側溝部17の先端部17Bまでの部位を延設方向に沿って切断した図である。
 図4に示されるように、動圧発生溝13は、外径側導入溝部14よりも先端部17B側が浅くなっている。
 具体的には、外径側導入溝部14の底面14eは、先端側溝部17の底面17cに向けて徐々に浅くなるように傾斜している。すなわち、外径側導入溝部14は、外径端14bが最も深くなっている。この底面14eは、平坦面をなしている。
 また、先端側溝部17の底面17cは、ランド12に向けて周方向に徐々に浅くなるように傾斜している。この底面17cは、段部を有さない滑らかな平坦面をなしている。
 先端側溝部17の底面17cは、ランド12に対して周方向に滑らかに連なっている。すなわち、先端側溝部17と該先端側溝部17の相対回転下流側に位置するランド12との間に深さ方向に立ち上がる面が形成されていない。
 外径側導入溝部14の底面14eの傾斜角θ1は、先端側溝部17の底面17cの傾斜角θ2よりも大きくなっている。すなわち、先端側溝部17の深さを浅くでき、後述のように正圧発生領域が広く確保されている。
 図5(a)に示されるように、外径側導入溝部14の幅方向の断面は、略矩形状を成している。
 また、図5(b)に示されるように、先端側溝部17の幅方向の断面は、略三角形状を成している。具体的には、図3および図5(b)に示されるように、先端側溝部17の底面17cは、外径側から内径側に向けて漸次浅くなっている。すなわち、先端側溝部17は、合流部17Aの外径側から先端部17Bの内径側に向けて漸次浅くなっている(図3参照)。
 次いで、静止密封環10と回転密封環20との相対回転時の動作について図6および図7を用いて説明する。
 図6に示されるように、回転密封環20が静止密封環10に対して相対回転すると、動圧発生溝13内の流体が摺動面21とのせん断により回転密封環20の正回転方向に追随移動する。
 これにより、先端側溝部17内の流体は、合流部17Aから先端部17Bの先端17Baに向かって移動し、外径側導入溝部14内の流体が合流部17Aに向かって移動する。
 これに伴って、外径側導入溝部14内には外空間S1から流体が導入される。外径側導入溝部14の相対回転上流側の側壁14cは、内径方向に向かうにつれて相対回転方向下流側に傾いているので、相対回転時には側壁14cに沿って外空間S1から外径側導入溝部14内および外径側導入溝部14内から先端側溝部17に向けて流体が円滑に導入され、先端側溝部17で十分な動圧を発生させることができる。
 具体的には、従来公知のレイリーステップのように、深溝部から浅溝部に向かう流体の流れが略90度変化するものに比べ、外径側導入溝部14内から先端側溝部17に向けて流体が円滑に導入されやすく、効果的に動圧を発生させることができる。
 図6および図7を参照して、先端側溝部17では、先端17Ba近傍が最も圧力が高く、外径側導入溝部14側に向かうにつれて漸次圧力が低くなっている。
 回転密封環20と静止密封環10との相対回転時には、動圧発生溝13で生じる動圧により摺動面11,21間が離間し、内空間S2から第2流体F2が随時流入し、いわゆる流体潤滑を成すようになっている。
 上述のように、先端17Ba近傍は高圧となっているので、先端17Ba近傍の第2流体F2は、図6の矢印H1に示されるように、ランド12に位置したままで先端側溝部17にはほぼ進入しない。
 一方、合流部17A近傍および外径側導入溝部14近傍は先端17Ba近傍と比べて低圧であることから、図6の矢印H2に示されるように、合流部17A近傍および外径側導入溝部14近傍の第2流体F2は、合流部17Aおよび外径側導入溝部14に進入しやすくなっている。合流部17Aおよび外径側導入溝部14に進入した第2流体F2は、先端17Baから摺動面11,21間に流出する。
 回転密封環20と静止密封環10との高速回転時、すなわち定常状態時には、動圧発生溝13内に進入する第2流体F2の量が増え、先端側溝部17から第2流体F2が連続的に摺動面11,21間に流出する。
 また、外径側導入溝部14の相対回転下流側の側壁14dも内径方向に向かうにつれて相対回転方向下流側に傾いているので、相対回転時には側壁14cに沿って外径側導入溝部14内から先端側溝部17に向けて流体が円滑に導入される。
 また、外径側導入溝部14の底面14eの傾斜角θ1は、先端側溝部17の底面17cの傾斜角θ2よりも大きいので、先端側溝部17の深さを周方向に広い範囲で浅く構成でき、正圧発生領域を周方向に広く確保することができる(図4参照)。また、外径側導入溝部14を深く形成できるので、外径側導入溝部14に流体を多く貯留することができる。
 また、外径側導入溝部14の底面14eは、平坦面であることから、外径側導入溝部14の流体の流れを円滑にできる。
 また、外径側導入溝部14の側壁14cは、相対回転下流側に凸をなすように湾曲しており、段部などが形成されていない平坦面であるため、側壁14cに沿って外径側導入溝部14内の流体を先端側溝部17に向けて円滑に導入することができる。さらに、合流部17Aの近くに側壁14cが配置されるので、合流部17A付近の圧力が高くなったときに、側壁14cにより合流部17Aから外径側導入溝部14側に逆流することが抑制される。言い換えれば、外径側導入溝部14から先端側溝部17に向けて流体が流れやすくなっている。
 また、外径側導入溝部14の側壁14dは、相対回転上流側に向けて凸をなすように湾曲しており、側壁14cの径方向長さL10(図3参照)は、側壁14dの径方向長さL11(図3参照)より長いため、外径側導入溝部14と先端側溝部17との連通部(すなわち、合流部17A)を大きく確保でき、先端側溝部17に向けて円滑に導入することができる。
 また、側壁14dは、段部などが形成されていない平坦面であるため、先端側溝部17に向けて円滑に導入することができる。
 先端側溝部17は、合流部17Aから先端部17Bに向かって徐々に浅くなっているため、先端側溝部17内の流体は先端部17Bに向かって徐々に圧力が高められる。
 また、先端側溝部17は、合流部17Aの外径側から先端部17Bの内径側に向けて漸次浅くなっているため、内径側に向けて動圧を発生させることができる。すなわち、内空間S2から外径側に漏れようとする流体を先端側溝部17の動圧により押し返すことができる。また、突発的に内空間S2から外空間S1側に漏れた流体を吸い込むことができる。
 また、先端側溝部17の底面17cは、ランド12に対して周方向に滑らかに連なっているため、先端側溝部17の先端部17Bの先端17Baから周方向、すなわち先端部17Bから周方向に隣り合うランド12に向けて流体を導きやすい。
 また、先端側溝部17は相対回転下流側に向けて外空間S1側に向けて凸をなすように湾曲しているため、周方向と径方向に向けて流体を導くことができる。
 また、先端部17Bは、正回転方向に先細りしているため、先端部17Bの先端17Baで大きな正圧を生じさせることができる。
 これにより、動圧発生溝13の先端部17Bおよびその近傍の周方向に広い範囲で正圧を生じさせることができる。
 具体的には、図7に示されるように、動圧発生溝13の先端部17Bの先端17Ba近傍で最も大きな正圧が生じ、その周囲に拡がるにつれて正圧が徐々に小さくなっている。特に、先端側溝部17の先端部17Bの先端17Baから相対回転下流側よりも、先端17Baから相対回転上流側に正圧が生じる範囲が大きくなっている。尚、合流部17A近傍ではほぼ正圧が生じていない。これにより、周方向の広い範囲で正圧を生じさせながら外径側導入溝部14から合流部17Aに流れる流体の流れが妨げられることが回避される。
 動圧発生溝13の先端部17Bおよびその近傍で生じる正圧による力により、摺動面11,21間が若干離間され、摺動面11,21間に流体が導入されることで潤滑性が向上する。
 また、正圧発生領域が広く確保されているため、摺動面11,21間の周方向の広い範囲で正圧を発生させることができる。そのため、摺動面11,21間が浮上した際の揺れが小さく、摺動面11,21間の摺動が安定する。
 また、外径側導入溝部14の側壁14cは、内径側が相対回転下流側に凸をなすように湾曲しており、この湾曲部位は相対回転上流側の動圧発生溝13の先端部17Bと周方向に重なる位置に配置されている(図3参照)。これによれば、側壁14cの湾曲部位の相対回転上流側のランド12が周方向に確保されるので、動圧発生溝13の先端部17Bで確実に動圧を発生させることができる。
 尚、外径側導入溝部14の底面14eおよび先端側溝部17の底面17cは、平坦面に限られず、先端部に向けて浅くなるように断面視で軸方向一方側に凸または凹を成してもよいし、先端部に向けて浅くなるように曲線状をなしてもよいし、先端部に向けて浅くなるように階段状をなしてもよい。また、底面14eおよび底面17cとの間に、底面14eから底面17cにかけて延びる段部が形成される形状でもよい。この場合、底面14eおよび底面17cは先端部に向けて浅くなるようにしなくとも問題ない。
 また、本実施例では、先端部17Bの先端17Baが摺動面11の径方向中央近傍に配置されている形態を例示したが、径方向一方側に寄せて配置されていてもよい。
 尚、外空間が被密封流体側、内空間が漏れ側で、動圧発生溝が内径側に連通する形態でもよい。
 また、メカニカルシールに限られず、実施例3で示すようなスラスト軸受やラジアル軸受などであってもよい。
 次に、実施例2に係る摺動部品につき、図8を参照して説明する。尚、前記実施例1と同一構成で重複する構成の説明を省略する。
 図8に示されるように、本実施例2の動圧発生溝213は、外径側導入溝部214の周方向寸法が、実施例1の外径側導入溝部14の周方向寸法よりも小さい。この形態は、摺動面間の浮上が小さい相対回転速度が低速である場合に有用である。このように外径側導入溝部214の周方向寸法が小さいことにより、先端側溝部217の先端217Baの相対回転下流側のランド212を周方向に大きく確保できる、または動圧発生溝213を周方向に多く配置することができる。すなわち、設計自由度が高まる。
 また、実施例1に比べ動圧発生溝213の容積が小さいので漏れ側流体である第1流体F1が内空間S2に漏れにくい。すなわち、被密封流体空間側への漏れ側流体の流入を防ぎたいときに有用である。
 尚、外空間が被密封流体側、内空間が漏れ側で、動圧発生溝が内径側に連通する形態でもよい。
 また、メカニカルシールに限られず、実施例3で示すようなスラスト軸受やラジアル軸受であってもよい。
 次に、実施例3に係る摺動部品につき、図9,図10を参照して説明する。尚、前記実施例1と同一構成で重複する構成の説明を省略する。
 図9に示されるように、摺動部品がスラスト軸受300である形態を例に挙げ説明する。
 図10に示されるように、本実施例3の動圧発生溝313は、被密封流体側である内空間S2に連通している。この動圧発生溝313は、静止環310と回転環320が相対摺動するスラスト軸受300の静止環310の摺動面311に設けられている。実施例1同様、外空間S1が漏れ側空間で低圧側であり、内空間S2が被密封流体空間で高圧側である。すなわち、第2流体F2が第1流体F1よりも高圧となっている。
 具体的には、動圧発生溝313は、深溝部としての内径側導入溝部314を有している。内径側導入溝部314は、相対回転上流側の側壁314cが外径側に向かうにつれて相対回転下流側に傾斜し、相対回転下流側に凸をなすように湾曲している。相対回転下流側の側壁314dは、外径側に向かうにつれて相対回転下流側に傾斜し、相対回転上流側に凸をなすように湾曲している。
 先端側溝部317は、内径側導入溝部314の外径端314aに連通し、相対回転下流側に向けて周方向に延びている。先端側溝部317は、合流部317Aの内径側から先端部317Bの外径側に向けて漸次浅くなっている。
 これにより、内径側導入溝部314に貯留された第2流体F2をスムーズに先端側溝部317に導入でき、先端側溝部317の先端部317Bから外径側に向けて第2流体F2を摺動面間に導出できるので、潤滑性が向上する。尚、動圧発生溝313は、メカニカルシールに適用されてもよいが、密封性の観点から流体漏れの影響がない軸受に適用されることが好ましい。
 また、本実施例3では、先端側溝部317の両側壁が漏れ側である外空間S1に向かって凸をなす形態を例示したが、被密封流体側である内空間S2に向かって凸をなしていてもよい。
 尚、外空間が被密封流体側、内空間が漏れ側で、動圧発生溝が内径側に連通する形態でもよい。
 また、図11に示されるように、動圧発生溝313’は、ラジアル軸受8(図9参照)の内周面8aに設けられ、動圧発生溝313’が連通する一方の空間が被密封流体側である形態でもよい。
 次に、実施例4に係る摺動部品につき、図12を参照して説明する。尚、前記実施例3と同一構成で重複する構成の説明を省略する。さらに尚、本実施例では、内空間S2が低圧の第1流体F1が存在する漏れ空間であり、外空間S1が高圧の第2流体F2が存在する被密封流体空間、すなわち内空間S2が低圧側であり、外空間S1が高圧側である形態を例に説明する。
 図12に示されるように、静止密封環510の摺動面511には、複数の動圧発生溝513と、複数の第2動圧発生溝515と、が周方向に交互に、かつ均等に配設されている(ここでは1つずつ図示)。
 動圧発生溝513は、相対回転上流側の側壁514cの形状以外前記実施例3の動圧発生溝313と同一形状をなしている。
 側壁514cは、軸方向視で内径側から順に第1曲面部518、第2曲面部519、第3曲面部520を有している。
 第1曲面部518および第3曲面部520は、相対回転下流側に向けて凸を成している。第2曲面部519は、相対回転上流側に向けて凸を成している。
 第2動圧発生溝515は、外径側導入溝部515Aと、先端側溝部515Bと、を備えている。外径側導入溝部515Aは、外空間S1に連通している。外径側導入溝部515Aの相対回転上流側の側壁515Aaは、内径側に向かうにつれて相対回転下流側に傾斜し、相対回転下流側に凸をなすように湾曲している。相対回転下流側の側壁515Abは、内径側に向かうにつれて相対回転下流側に傾斜し、相対回転上流側に凸をなすように湾曲している。
 先端側溝部515Bは、外径側導入溝部515Aの外径側に連通し、相対回転下流側に向けて周方向に延びている。先端側溝部515Bは、外径側導入溝部515Aよりも浅く、合流部515Baの外径側から先端部515Bbの内径側に向けて漸次浅くなっている。
 尚、第2動圧発生溝515の容積は、動圧発生溝513の容積の1/20程度の大きさとなっている。
 相対低速回転時には、外空間S1の被密封流体である第2流体F2が第2動圧発生溝515に導入され、先端部515Bbで生じる動圧により、摺動面間を離間させるとともに、流体潤滑を行うことができる。
 相対回転速度が高まるにつれて、動圧発生溝513でのポンピング機能が高まり、第2動圧発生溝515から摺動面間に導出された第2流体F2を回収し、先端側溝部517の先端部517Bで動圧を生じさせ、さらに潤滑性が高まるとともに、内空間S2への第2流体F2の漏れを抑制できる。
 第2曲面部519により内径側導入溝部514の容積が大きくなっているため、摺動面間の第2流体F2(すなわち、被密封流体)を大量に回収でき、内空間S2への漏れを効果的に抑制できる。さらに、第1曲面部518、第2曲面部519、第3曲面部520は滑らかに連続しているため、内径側導入溝部514内の流体を先端側溝部517に円滑に導入できる。すなわち、潤滑性と密封性を両立することができる。
 尚、外空間が漏れ側、内空間が被密封流体側であってもよい。また、動圧発生溝が外径側に連通、第2動圧発生溝が内径側に連通していてもよい。
 以上、本発明の実施例を図面により説明してきたが、具体的な構成はこれら実施例に限られるものではなく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲における変更や追加があっても本発明に含まれる。
 例えば、前記実施例1~4では、動圧発生溝は導入部から先端部に向けて徐々に浅くなる形態を例示したが、導入部を深さ一定の深溝、先端部を深さ一定の浅溝としてもよい。すなわち、動圧発生溝は深さが異なる部分を少なくとも1つ有し、導入部よりも先端部が浅くなっていればよい。
 また、前記実施例1~4では、動圧発生溝の先端部とランドとが周方向に滑らかに連なっている形態を例示したが、動圧発生溝の先端部とランドとの間に深さ方向に立ち上がる面が形成されていてもよい。
 また、前記実施例1~4では、外径側導入部および内径側導入部が軸方向視略円弧状をなしていたが、例えば、外径側導入部および内径側導入部が相対回転方向に傾斜しながら径方向に直線状に延びていてもよいし、一方が直線状をなし、他方が円弧状をなしていてもよい。
 また、前記実施例1~4では、動圧発生溝が周方向に6等配されている形態を例示したが、使用環境などに応じて自由に変更してもよい。
 また、前記実施例1~4では、摺動部材が環状である形態を例に説明したが、これに限られず、例えば、円板状の摺動部材などであってもよい。
 また、前記実施例1~4では、静止密封環または静止環に動圧発生溝が設けられる形態を例示したが、回転密封環または回転環に動圧発生溝が設けられてもよい。
 また、前記実施例1,2,4では、自動車用や一般産業機械用等のメカニカルシールに利用される摺動部品について説明したが、摺動部品は、前記実施例3のようなスラスト軸受やラジアル軸受やすべり軸受などに用いられてもよい。
 また、前記実施例3では、スラスト軸受に利用される摺動部品について説明したが、摺動部品は、ラジアル軸受やすべり軸受や前記実施例1,2,4のようなメカニカルシールなどに用いられてもよい。
 また、潤滑用に用いられる流体は、液体または気体であってもよいし、液体と気体が混合したミスト状であってもよい。
 また、前記実施例1~3では、外空間が漏れ側、内空間が被密封流体側として説明したが、外空間が被密封流体側、内空間が漏れ側となっていてもよい。
 また、前記実施例1~4では、外空間と内空間に異なる流体が存在する形態を例示したが、同一の流体であってもよい。また、流体の圧力が同一でもよいし異なっていてもよい。
 また、前記実施例1~4では、先端側溝部の合流部では正圧が生じない形態を例示したが、合流部でも正圧が生じるようになっていてもよい。
 また、実施例4では、動圧発生溝が漏れ側空間に連通し、第2動圧発生溝が被密封流体空間に連通する形態を例示したが、動圧発生溝および第2動圧発生溝が漏れ側空間および被密封流体空間にそれぞれ連通してもよい。また、動圧発生溝および第2動圧発生溝は周方向に交互に配置される必要はなく、動圧発生溝および第2動圧発生溝の数も自由に変更できる。

Claims (8)

  1.  一対の摺動面が互いに相対回転する箇所に配置される摺動部品であって、
     少なくともいずれか一方の摺動面は、一方の空間に連通する深溝部と、該深溝部から相対回転下流側に延びる浅溝部と、を有する動圧発生溝を備え、
     前記深溝部の相対回転上流側の側壁は、前記一方の空間から離れるにつれて相対回転下流側に向けて傾斜している摺動部品。
  2.  前記深溝部の相対回転上流側の側壁の少なくとも一部は、相対回転下流側に向けて凸をなすように湾曲している請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
  3.  前記深溝部の相対回転下流側の側壁の少なくとも一部は、前記一方の空間から離れるにつれて相対回転下流側に向けて傾斜している請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
  4.  前記浅溝部は相対回転下流側に向けて徐々に浅くなっている請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の摺動部品。
  5.  前記浅溝部は他方の空間に向けて徐々に浅くなっている請求項4に記載の摺動部品。
  6.  前記浅溝部は先端が先細りしている請求項4に記載の摺動部品。
  7.  前記浅溝部は相対回転下流側に向けて前記一方の空間側に向けて凸をなすように湾曲している請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
  8.  少なくともいずれか一方の摺動面は、他方の空間に連通し先端側で動圧を発生させる別の動圧発生溝を備えている請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
