- FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating communication using LP-WUS and LP-WUR in an embodiment of the present invention.
- a power consumption reduction technology called "Low-Power Wake-Up Signal and Receiver" is currently under discussion in 3GPP (registered trademark) Rel-18.
- the low-power wake-up signal (Low-Power Wake-Up Signal) is called LP-WUS or simply WUS, and the low-power wake-up signal receiver (Low-Power Wake-Up Receiver) is called LP-WUR, WUR, or LR.
- the LR As shown in Figure 3(a), the LR, a simple circuit that operates with lower power consumption than the main radio (Main Radio, MR) used in normal data communications, is operated in place of the MR, introducing a state called ultra-deep sleep (UDS). As shown in Figure 3(b), the LR may have a function that triggers the power OFF of the MR when the LR receives the LP-WUS signal as shown in Figure 3(a), or that triggers the power ON of the MR.
- Main Radio Main Radio
- UDS ultra-deep sleep
- an LR In addition, in 3GPP, the following items, for example, are under discussion regarding the functions that an LR should have. Functions to be supported in all RRC states, i.e., RRC IDLE, INACTIVE, and CONNECTED. In the ultra-low power sleep state, assuming that the MR is at very low power, whether the LR needs to perform all or part of the functions of the MR (e.g., RRC measurements by the MR) instead.
- Figure 4 is a diagram illustrating communication by the LP-WUS and LP-WUR in an embodiment of the present invention.
- the LP-WUS in RRC IDLE/INACTIVE mode, the LP-WUS is expected to instruct a wake-up, i.e., to indicate whether the MR should monitor the paging PDCCH. If the LR receives the LP-WUS and the LP-WUS indicates to a specific terminal that it needs to monitor the paging occasion (PO) following the LP-WUS, the MR needs to wake up and monitor the paging PDCCH in RRC IDLE/INACTIVE mode.
- a wake-up i.e., to indicate whether the MR should monitor the paging PDCCH.
- PO paging occasion
- LP-WUS is not expected to be a UE-specific indication. That is, from the viewpoint of reducing signaling overhead, a mechanism (such as in legacy PEI) for grouping multiple UEs into multiple subgroups (called subgrouping) containing one or more UEs is expected. For example, in a bitmap-based indication, 8 bits of information from 00000000 to 1111111111 are used to separately instruct wake-up for eight subgroups.
- the LP-WUS In RRC_IDLE/INACTIVE mode, the LP-WUS is expected to indicate the need for PO monitoring in advance, so the roles of the LP-WUS and PEI are similar, but details are under discussion.
- the PEI supports instructing the triggering of PO monitoring based on subgroups.
- FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating the monitoring opportunities of an LP-WUS in an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Figure 5, one LO with one MO may be set. Here, this one LO corresponds to the subsequent PO.
- the LP-WUR needs to have a simple architecture from the perspective of power conservation, it is undesirable for the configuration information for the LP-WUS to increase in size and become more complex as a result of greater freedom in the placement of MOs.
- Example An embodiment will be described.
- a method for clarifying a relationship between a monitoring opportunity (MO) of a low-power wake-up signal (LP-WUS) and a paging opportunity (PO) in a low-power wake-up signal opportunity (LO) for monitoring the LP-WUS in a wireless communication system will be described.
- the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may instruct the time and frequency positions of the MO based on the time and frequency positions (resource positions) of the LO.
- the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may assume that the time start position of the LO and the position of the MO (MO#1) placed at the first position in time are the same.
- the time and frequency position of the LO may be interpreted as the time and frequency position of MO#1.
- FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating the monitoring opportunities of an LP-WUS in an embodiment of the present invention.
- the time start position of each LO (LO#1, LO#2) is the same as the time start position of the MO (MO#1) that is placed at the first position in time.
- the multiple LOs (LO#1 and LO#2) correspond to the subsequent POs.
- the time start positions of MO#2 and MO#3, which are placed after MO#1 may be indicated by an offset from the time start position of MO#1. Alternatively, the period in which the MOs are placed may be indicated.
- the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may assume that one or more patterns are set/updated/instructed by RRC/MAC-CE/DCI regarding the placement of the time and frequency positions of the LO.
- the base station 10 may notify the terminal 20 of either or both of the time position and frequency position of the LO by RRC/MAC-CE/DCI, as shown below.
- Pattern 1 All LOs have a common time location (i.e., frequency division multiplexing (FDM))
- Pattern 2 All LOs are mapped to different time positions consecutively (i.e., time division multiplexing (TDM)).
- the time positions may be consecutive or discontinuous. Consecutive may mean having a regular time interval (period).
- Method 2 When setting the time and frequency resources of LOs, the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may assume that the time starting positions of all or some of the LOs are the same, rather than individually setting the time starting positions of multiple LOs.

Description

また、以下で説明する本発明の実施の形態では、既存のLTEで使用されているSS(Synchronization signal)、PSS(Primary SS)、SSS(Secondary SS)、PBCH(Physical broadcast channel)、PRACH(Physical random access channel)、PDCCH(Physical Downlink Control Channel)、PDSCH(Physical Downlink Shared Channel)、PUCCH(Physical Uplink Control Channel)、PUSCH(Physical Uplink Shared Channel)等の用語を使用する。
同期信号及びシステム情報は、SSB(SS/PBCH block)と呼ばれてもよい。 また、基地局10及び端末20はいずれも、MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output)による通信をDL又はULに適用することが可能である。
図2に示されるとおり、MN(Master Node)となる基地局10Aと、SN(Secondary Node)となる基地局10Bが備えられる。
MNである基地局10Aにより提供されるセルグループをMCG(Master Cell Group)と呼び、SNである基地局10Bにより提供されるセルグループをSCG(Secondary Cell Group)と呼ぶ。
(LP-WUS Occasions(LOs)とLP-WUS Monitoring Occasion(MOs))

スロットは、時間領域において1つ又は複数のシンボル(OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)シンボル、SC-FDMA(Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access)シンボル等)で構成されてもよい。
ミニスロットより大きい時間単位で送信されるPDSCH(又はPUSCH)は、PDSCH(又はPUSCH)マッピングタイプAと呼ばれてもよい。ミニスロットを用いて送信されるPDSCH(又はPUSCH)は、PDSCH(又はPUSCH)マッピングタイプBと呼ばれてもよい。
BWPには、UL用のBWP(UL BWP)と、DL用のBWP(DL BWP)とが含まれてもよい。
