Abstract

Methods and apparatus are provided for video decoding/encoding. In a method provided, a decoder may obtain an adaptive loop filter (ALF) classifier for a sub-block, determine an ALF based on the ALF classifier, and obtain a filtered sample of a chroma sample in the sub-block based on the ALF and a reconstructed sample of the chroma sample.
