Description

System for vertical installation of photovoltaic panels
Technical field
This invention relates to a system for vertical installation of photovoltaic panels, which will find application in the field of electricity generation from solar radiation.
Background of the invention
The solar panel installation is a key to the proper design and normal operation of the photovoltaic systems. Mounting systems provide the necessary structural support to keep the solar panels at the optimum angle, but can also impact the overall system temperature. The cooling mechanism varies depending on the choice of construction. Ground-mounted solar panels, for example, are more easily cooled than roof-mounted systems because they have better airflow bilaterally, which affects the temperature control of the solar panels and their efficiency. The large-scale use of solar energy for electricity generation requires equipping large areas with facilities to “capture” the sun’s rays in regions where the sun’s irradiation is strongest. In terms of scale, large platforms are more economically viable, but there is a likelihood of mutual shadowing when deployed in solar farms. In addition, panels that are deployed on large platforms also need to be mounted on heavier metal structures to resist winds, which precludes their use for building roofs.
In the known photovoltaic panel installation systems, the panels are mounted horizontally on frames made of metal profiles, the frames themselves being mounted at an angle to supporting beams and columns. There is no known system for vertical installation of photovoltaic panels that allows the panels to be spaced over a small area and at a great height. Summary of the invention
It is an object of the invention to provide a system for vertical installation of photovoltaic panels that provides increased electricity production per unit area, is lightweight and simple, and has a long lifetime.
The problem is solved by creating a system for vertical installation of photovoltaic panels, which includes photovoltaic panels mounted on metal profiles frames, which frames are mounted at an angle to the support profiles. According to the invention, the system comprises at least two main supporting vertical trusses comprising two metal profiles which are connected at one end and conclude an angle a in the range of 10 to 90 degrees, and at the other end the metal profiles are fixed to base plates mounted to a foundation. The metal profiles are reinforced with horizontal ribs. At least two support plates are welded to one of the metal profiles, at a distance of at least 80 cm, on which the support profiles are fixed. The metal profile frames with the photovoltaic panels are mounted at an angle β to the support profiles by means of bottom and top plates, the angle p being in the range 10 to 55 degrees. The top plates are fixed to side plates mounted to the same metal profile.
In an embodiment, two or three metal profile frames with photovoltaic panels lying in the same plane are mounted between each of the two main supporting vertical trusses of the support plates.
In another embodiment, two or three metal profile frames with photovoltaic panels are mounted between each of the two main supporting vertical trusses of the support plates, the metal profile frames being mounted on a common support frame by means of two reinforcing metal profiles.
The problem is solved by creating a second system for vertical installation of photovoltaic panels, which includes photovoltaic panels mounted on metal profile frames, which frames are mounted at an angle to the support profiles. At least two support plates are welded to both metal profiles, at a distance of at least 80 cm, on which the support profiles are mounted, oppositely arranged with respect to each other. The metal profile frames with the photovoltaic panels are mounted at an angle β to the support profiles by means of lower and upper plates, the angle β being in the range from 10 to 55 degrees. The top plates are fixed to side plates fitted to the corresponding metal profile.
In one embodiment of the second vertical installation system, the support plates are welded to the metal sections at the same level relative to the ground.
In another embodiment of the second vertical installation system, the support plates are welded to the metal profiles staggered with respect to the ground, the photovoltaic panels are double-faced and reflectors are mounted below the support profiles.
An advantage of the vertical installation systems developed is that the design and layout of the solar panels occupies a much smaller area than known horizontally mounted solar power plants, thus providing increased electricity production per unit area. Another advantage is that it is possible to arrange the panels at a great height, with sufficient space between them, thus avoiding shading, cooling them better, which further increases their efficiency, and making them more wind resistant.

In one preferred embodiment, the angle a is 20 degrees. The main supporting vertical trusses 6 are connected to each other by counter-wind ties 13, and the metal sections 6.1 and 6.2 are interconnected by horizontal ribs 7.
At least two support plates 9 are welded to both metal sections 6.1 and 6.2, at a distance of at least 80 cm, and in a preferred embodiment the support plates 9 are welded at the levels of the horizontal ribs 7 for greater structural stability. Depending on the height of the structure, it is possible to have up to 10 support plates 9 on each of the metal profiles 6.1 and 6.2. On the support plates 9, support profiles 4 are fixed, oppositely arranged with respect to each other. To the support profiles 4, by means of lower and upper plates 3 and 10, metal profile frames 2 with photovoltaic panels 1 are mounted at an angle β.
