- the present invention provides a tobacco filler for a non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler that has high heating efficiency, as well as a non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler and a non-combustion heating type flavor inhalation system that include the tobacco filler.
- FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of a molded body included in a tobacco filler according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of a non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler according to the present embodiment.
- FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of a non-combustion heating type flavor inhalation system according to the present embodiment, in which (a) a state before a non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler is inserted into a heating device, and (b) a state in which the non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler is inserted into the heating device and heated.
- tobacco filler for non-combustion heating type flavor inhalers comprises a tobacco material, an expansion agent that decomposes to generate gas when heated to a temperature in the range of 50°C or higher and 250°C or lower, and a coating agent that covers the expansion agent.
- the tobacco filler according to this embodiment includes an expansion agent covered with a coating agent.
- the expansion agent When the expansion agent is heated to a temperature in the range of 50°C or higher and 250°C or lower, it decomposes and generates gas. Therefore, when the tobacco filler is heated during use of a non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler, the expansion agent decomposes and generates gas. Because the expansion agent is covered with a coating agent, the gas remains inside and the tobacco filler expands. This presses the tobacco filler further against the heater, increasing the contact area between the tobacco filler and the heater and improving the heating efficiency of the tobacco filler.
- the tobacco filler of this embodiment expands when heated, so that the cavity is filled by the expansion even after the heater is removed from the tobacco filler, preventing the tobacco filler from spilling out of the cavity.

- FIG. 3(b) as the illustration is schematic, there is a gap between the outer periphery of the non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler 11 and the inner periphery of the metal tube 26, but in reality, for the purpose of efficient heat transfer, it is preferable that there is no gap between the outer periphery of the non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler 11 and the inner periphery of the metal tube 26.
- the heating device 23 heats the tobacco-containing segment of the non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler 11 from the outside, but it is also possible to insert a blade-shaped heater or the like inside the tobacco-containing segment and heat the tobacco-containing segment from the inside.
- the heating temperature by the heating device is not particularly limited, but is preferably 400°C or less, more preferably 150°C or more and 400°C or less, and even more preferably 200°C or more and 350°C or less.

- Example 1 (Preparation of Molded Body) Sodium bicarbonate as a swelling agent, cellulose powder as a carrier, guar gum as a binder, and glycerin as an aerosol source were mixed in the ratios shown in Table 1. The mixture obtained was added with water, kneaded, and spread into a sheet, and dried at 28° C. for 24 hours. The sheet obtained was punched out into a disk shape with a diameter of 15 mm to obtain a support. The support was immersed in a 15% aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) containing PVA as a coating agent, and dried at 28° C. for 24 hours to obtain a molded body.
- PVA polyvinyl alcohol
- Example 2 The support was immersed in a 3% hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC)-containing ethanol solution as a coating agent, and dried at 28° C. for 24 hours to obtain a molded article. Except for this, a molded article was prepared and evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1. The results are shown in Table 2.
- HPC hydroxypropyl cellulose
- Example 2 A molded body was prepared and evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the blending ratio of the support raw materials was changed as shown in Table 2. The results are shown in Table 2.
- Example 3 A molded product was prepared and evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1, except that no coating agent was used. The results are shown in Table 2.
- Examples 1 and 2 which relate to molded bodies containing the expansion agent according to this embodiment and a coating agent that covers the expansion agent, the molded bodies expanded significantly when heated. It can therefore be understood that a tobacco filler containing the molded body and tobacco material expands significantly when heated. Description
