Abstract

The present invention relates to a system (1) for installing and adjusting photovoltaic panels (2) over traffic routes, in particular over asphalted roads or freeways (3), comprising photovoltaic panels (2) for generating electric current from solar radiation, and a basic structure (4) adjacent to the traffic route, said basic structure (4) comprising at least vertical supports (5), which extend upwards from a base plane (E) defined by the traffic route, and transverse supports (6), which are disposed above the base plane (E) and extend transversely over the traffic route, and said photovoltaic panels (2) being connected to the basic structure (4) so as to be pivotable about an axis of rotation (R). The invention further relates to a method for installing photovoltaic panels (2) over traffic routes, a traffic noise abatement apparatus, a method for providing an escape route in a traffic noise abatement apparatus, as well as a crash barrier (21) for providing an escape route from a traffic route into a safety zone (26) provided alongside the traffic route.
