- a power module is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the housing of the rotary electric machine unit, and the housing has an inner cooling portion forming the inner peripheral surface thereof, an outer cooling portion forming the outer peripheral surface, an inner cooling portion and an outer cooling portion.
- the power module is cooled by the refrigerant flowing through the housing flow path (see summary).
- paragraph 0180-0117 of Patent Document 1 describes a configuration in which a power module includes a semiconductor device and a cooler, and the inside of the power module is cooled by this cooler.
- This cooler has a supply pipe, a discharge pipe, and a heat exchange section.
- the heat exchange portion is composed of a pair of plates having a shallow pot bottom shape on at least one of them, and a flow path is formed between the plates.
- the cooler has two heat exchange units, one of which is located on one side of the semiconductor device and the other of the heat exchange units is located on the back side, so that the semiconductor device has two heats. It is sandwiched by the exchange part.
- the supply pipe is connected to each of the two heat exchange units, and the flow path of the supply pipe communicates with the flow path of the two heat exchange units. Specifically, one end of the supply pipe is open, the other end is connected to the second stage heat exchange portion, and the supply pipe is connected to the first stage heat exchange portion during the extension of the supply pipe.
