- FIG. 5A (a) is an exemplary diagram illustrating a case in which user terminals 1, 2, and 3 simultaneously transmit packets in time slot 1 and a collision occurs.
- the random access device may attempt to resolve the collision between packets by executing the SRP (3).
- SRP(3) since the number of users in the first collision is 3, it is expressed as SRP(3), and it can be expressed as SRP(m) according to the number of users in the first collision m.
- the random access device performed SRP, it may mean that the continuous interference cancellation capability of the random access device is at least 3.
- the random access device may transmit the NAK signal and the retransmission probability to the user terminals 1, 2, and 3, and accordingly, the user terminals 1, 2, and 3 may retransmit the packet arbitrarily again based on the retransmission probability.
- the retransmission probability is or is defined as m may mean the number of first collision users. Therefore, the retransmission probability transmitted by the random access device in time slot 1 is can be defined as
- the random access device again NAK signal and retransmission probability After transmitting to the user terminals 1 and 3, the user terminal 3 has a retransmission probability based on 3 time slots (i.e. ), it can be retransmitted alone.
- the random access device may execute the SRP operation again in the corresponding SRP operation process.
- the random access device decodes user terminal 2 in time slot 1, user terminal 1 in time slot 4, and user terminal 3 in time slot 7 to resolve the collision.
- FIG. 5A (b) is an exemplary diagram illustrating a case in which user terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4 simultaneously transmit packets in time slot 1 and a collision occurs. Since the communication operation between the user terminal and the random access device has been described in detail with reference to FIGS. 3 and 5A above, it will be briefly described.
- that the random access device has performed SRP may mean that the continuous interference cancellation capability of the random access device is at least 4.
- Random access device NAK signal and retransmission probability to user terminals 1,2,3,4 transmits, and the user terminals 1,2,3,4 have a retransmission probability After random transmission, user terminal 1 has two time slots (that is, ) can be retransmitted later.
- user terminals 2, 3, and 4 After that, user terminals 2, 3, and 4 have a retransmission probability to perform random transmission, and user terminals 2 and 4 have two time slots (that is, ) can be retransmitted later.
- user terminals 2 and 4 have retransmission probability to perform random transmission, and user terminal 2 has 4 time slots (that is, ) can be retransmitted later.
- user terminal 2 and user terminal 4 collide in time slot 5 and thus retransmission probability Although retransmission in time slot 7 through ), it can be retransmitted alone.
- the random access device performs the above SRP operation to decode user terminal 3 in time slot 1, user terminal 1 in time slot 3, user terminal 4 in time slot 5, and user terminal 2 in time slot 9. This can resolve the conflict.
- time slot required for conflict resolution by executing SRP (for example, in (a) of FIG. 5A , in Figure 5a (b) ) can be expressed as in Equation 7 below.
- Equation 7 is the number of first crash users, ( ⁇ 1) is the number of time slots required to execute SRP, ( ) is the number of user terminals in the SRP execution stage, may indicate the total time slot required for conflict resolution by executing SRP.
- the time slot required for conflict resolution by executing SRP can be calculated as in Equation 7, but since the user terminals in which the collision has occurred have a retransmission probability, the time slot to be retransmitted may be determined by the user terminal as the subject.
- the number of time slots required to execute SRP. and the number of user terminals in the SRP execution stage may vary depending on a time slot retransmitted by the user terminal. For example, the same In (a) of FIG. 5a, user terminals 1 and 3 retransmitted after 3 time slots. , and in (b) of FIG. 5a, user terminals 2 and 4 retransmitted after two time slots. will become
- Equation 7 is the number of time slots required to execute SRP obtained by retransmission by user terminals. and the number of user terminals in the SRP execution stage It should be taken into account that it expresses what is decided ex post facto based on
- FIG. 5A illustrates the operation of the random access system of the present invention as an embodiment, and is not limited thereto, and may vary depending on variables that may change in a communication environment, such as the number of collision users and continuous interference cancellation capability.
- 5B is a diagram illustrating an operation of a random access system according to another embodiment of the present invention.
- 5B shows an example of the operation in which the E-SRP execution unit executes the E-SRP because 5 user terminals 1,2,3,4,5 collide when the continuous interference cancellation capability is 2.
- the SRP execution unit When a collision between user terminals exceeding the continuous interference cancellation capability occurs, the SRP execution unit does not execute SRP for the corresponding user terminals and does not utilize it for decoding. However, when the E-SRP execution unit collides between user terminals exceeding the continuous interference cancellation capability, the E-SRP execution unit may attempt to resolve the conflict by executing the E-SRP.
- the E-SRP execution unit can execute E-SRP only for m user terminals, and the remaining nm user terminals execute E-SRP by m users. may not participate in
- 5b again shows that the random access device transmits the transmission probability from the embedded point of time slot 1 to the user terminal side, and user terminals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 collide by transmitting packets in time slot 2 based on the transmission probability. shows how it has been
- the random access device can execute E-SRP because the preset continuous interference cancellation capability is 2.
- the random access device provides the NAK signal and the collision resolution probability to the user terminals 1,2,3,4,5. can be transmitted, and accordingly, user terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4 can confirm that they have attempted retransmission with a collision resolution probability in time slot 5.
- the collision resolution probability will be referred to in Table 2 above.
- the random access device transmits the collision resolution probability to the user terminal until the number of collision users becomes less than or equal to the continuous interference cancellation capability, and the user terminal may continuously attempt retransmission with the collision resolution probability.
- user terminal 1 succeeds in retransmission in time slot 10
- user terminal 2 succeeds in retransmission in time slot 7 and can be decoded.
- user terminals 3 and 4 may not participate in retransmission.
- the random access device determines the probability that the user terminals 3 and 4 will resolve the collision in the time slot 12. can be retransmitted with
- the reason for setting the collision resolution probability to 1 is that the number of collision users has decreased to less than the continuous interference cancellation capability, so it is an effective strategy to maximize the overall data rate to retransmit unconditionally rather than execute E-SRP again. .
- user terminal 3 succeeds in retransmission in time slot 16
- user terminal 4 succeeds in retransmission in time slot 12, so that each can be decoded.
- User terminal 5 does not participate in the retransmission during the time slot (time slots 3 to 16) in which the E-SRP is executed, but participates after the E-SRP is terminated, and it can be confirmed that the retransmission succeeded alone in the time slot 19.
- Y may mean the number of time slots in which E-SRP is executed, and U may mean a set of user terminals decoded in the E-SRP execution process.
- FIG. 5B illustrates the operation of the random access system of the present invention as an embodiment, and is not limited thereto, and may vary depending on variables that may change in a communication environment, such as the number of collision users and continuous interference cancellation capability.
- FIG. 6 is a flowchart illustrating a random access method according to an embodiment of the present invention.

- the control unit defines the time slot as an idle event or a success event, and updates the number of backlog users at a preset embedded point of the idle event or success event (S420). )can do. Thereafter, the transmission probability is calculated based on the number of updated backlog users and transmitted to the user terminal, and then the user terminal can arbitrarily participate in packet transmission based on the transmission probability.
- the controller may compare the number of the corresponding collision packets with a preset continuous interference cancellation capability ( S410 ).
- the controller may define the corresponding time slot as an SRP event, and update the number of backlog users at a preset embedded point of the SRP event (S411). After the retransmission probability is calculated based on the updated backlog number of users and transmitted to the user terminal, SRP may be executed (S500) to resolve the conflict between the user terminals.
- the control unit defines the corresponding time slot as an E-SRP event, and updates the number of backlog users at the preset embedded point of the E-SRP event (S412) can do. Description
