Abstract
生分解性を有し、短時間で容易に成形可能であり、かつ成形体が適度に柔軟性を有する樹脂組成物を提供することを課題とする。 上記課題を解決する樹脂組成物は、ポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)100質量部と、特定の構造を有する脂肪族系ポリエステル1~10質量部と、を含む。前記ポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)の量は、総質量の80質量%以上である。
Description
本発明は、樹脂組成物、エミッタ、および点滴灌漑用チューブに関する。
近年、プラスチックによる環境汚染が問題となっており、生分解性の樹脂を主に含む樹脂組成物の需要が高まっている。このような樹脂組成物は、例えば農業用フィルムや包装容器等の分野で特に注目されている。樹脂組成物を各種形状に加工する方法としては、射出成形等による成形が一般的である。
一般的な射出成形法では、樹脂組成物を樹脂の融点以上に昇温させ、流動性を高めた状態で型に流し込む。その後、当該樹脂組成物を樹脂の結晶化温度以下に冷却することで、固化させる。しかしながら、生分解性樹脂として知られているポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)(以下、「PBAT」とも称する)は、結晶化速度が遅い。そのため、PBATを含む樹脂組成物を所望の形状に加工しようとすると、型に流し込んだ後、型から取り外すまでの時間(以下、「成形サイクル時間」とも称する)が非常に長い、という課題があった。
このような課題に対し、PBATに、リン酸エステル金属塩や、脂肪酸ナトリウム、タルク等を添加した樹脂組成物が提案されている(特許文献1)。当該特許文献1には、リン酸エステル金属塩等によって樹脂組成物の結晶性が高まる、と記載されている。
また、PBATに、ポリ乳酸(以下、「PLA」とも称する)およびアジピン酸系可塑剤、を添加した樹脂組成物も提案されている(特許文献2)。当該特許文献2には、比較的硬質なPLAと柔軟性の高いPBATとを混合することで、所望の柔軟性および高い衝撃強度が両立する、と記載されている。
さらに、PBATと熱可塑性澱粉とを含む樹脂組成物も提案されている(非特許文献1)。当該非特許文献1の技術では、熱可塑性澱粉を添加することで、成形性を高めようとしている。

しかしながら、特許文献1のように、PBATにリン酸エステル金属塩やタルク等を添加すると、射出成形時の流動性が低下しやすく、樹脂組成物を成形し難い、という課題があった。また、特許文献2の樹脂組成物は、PLAによって成形体の硬度が高まりやすく、PBAT由来の柔軟性を十分に活かすことができない、という課題があった。さらに、当該樹脂組成物では射出成形にかかる時間(成形サイクル時間)を短縮することは困難であった。
さらに、非特許文献1に記載の技術では、PBATと熱可塑性澱粉との相溶性が悪く、PBAT本来の柔軟性を損なうだけでなく、成形性も低下するという課題があった。以上のことから、生分解性を有し、成形性に優れ、かつ得られる成形物が適度に柔軟性を有する樹脂組成物の提供が望まれている。
本発明は、生分解性を有し、短時間で容易に成形可能であり、かつ成形体が適度に柔軟性を有する樹脂組成物の提供を目的とする。また、当該樹脂組成物を含むエミッタや点滴灌漑用チューブの提供も目的とする。
上記の課題を解決するため、本発明は、以下の樹脂組成物を提供する。
ポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)100質量部と、下記一般式で表される脂肪族系ポリエステル1~10質量部と、を含み、ポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)の量が、総質量の80質量%以上である、樹脂組成物。
(一般式中、R1およびR4は、炭素数1~12のアルキル基を表し、R2およびR3は、炭素数2~5のアルキル基を表し、Gは炭素数2~12のアルキル基を表し、nは2~10の整数を表す)
ポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)100質量部と、下記一般式で表される脂肪族系ポリエステル1~10質量部と、を含み、ポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)の量が、総質量の80質量%以上である、樹脂組成物。
本発明は、以下のエミッタを提供する。
灌漑用液体を流通させるチューブの内壁面、かつ前記チューブの内外を連通する吐出口に対応する位置に接合されたとき、前記チューブ内の前記灌漑用液体を前記吐出口から定量的に前記チューブ外に吐出するためのエミッタであって、前記灌漑用液体を取り入れるための取水部と、前記灌漑用液体を前記吐出口に吐出するための吐出部と、前記取水部および前記吐出部を繋ぐ流路と、を有し、上記の樹脂組成物を含む、エミッタ。

本発明は、以下の点滴灌漑用チューブも提供する。
チューブと、前記チューブに配置された上記のエミッタと、を有する、点滴灌漑用チューブ。

本発明に係る樹脂組成物は、生分解性を有し、かつ短時間で効率よく成形可能である。また、得られる成形体が高い柔軟性を有する。したがって、点滴灌漑用のチューブやこれに用いるエミッタ等、種々の用途に適用可能である。
以下、樹脂組成物について詳しく説明し、その後、これを含むエミッタやチューブについて説明する。
1.樹脂組成物
本発明の樹脂組成物は、ポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)(PBAT)と、特定の構造を有する脂肪族系ポリエステルとを含む。当該樹脂組成物中のポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)の量は、80質量%以上である。

上述のように、従来のPBATを含む樹脂組成物では、成形時の高い流動性と、高い結晶化温度と、を兼ね備えることが難しかった。また、成形性を高めるために結晶核剤等を添加すると、得られる成形体の柔軟性が低下してしまう、という課題もあった。
これに対し、本発明者らは、PBATと共に、特定の構造を有する脂肪族系ポリエステルを含めることで、樹脂組成物の溶融粘度が低くなること、さらに当該樹脂組成物の結晶化温度が高まることを見出した。これらによって、本発明の樹脂組成物は、成形体を短い成形サイクルで効率的に生産可能である。つまり、当該樹脂組成物は、硬質の樹脂(例えばPLA等)や結晶核剤等を添加しなくても、成形可能である。一方で、上記脂肪族系ポリエステルは、得られる成形体の柔軟性を低下させない。したがって、得られる成形体が、PBAT由来の適度な柔軟性を有する。このような樹脂組成物は、例えばダイヤフラム等によって流量調整を行う、点滴灌漑用チューブ用のエミッタ等の成形材料にも適用可能である。
以下、本発明の樹脂組成物の各成分について説明する。なお、本発明の樹脂組成物は、PBATおよび脂肪族系ポリエステル以外の成分を含んでいてもよい。他の成分の例には、脂肪族系エステル化合物や、リン酸金属塩等が含まれる。
・ポリ(ブチレンアジペート/テレフタレート)(PBAT)
PBATは、生分解性を有する樹脂であり、本発明の樹脂組成物では、樹脂組成物の総量に対して80%以上を占める主成分である。PBATの含有量は、樹脂組成物の全量に対して85~99質量%が好ましく、90~99質量%がより好ましい。PBATの含有量が当該範囲であると、所望の柔軟性を有し、かつ加工性が良好な樹脂組成物が得られる。
PBATは、生分解性を有する樹脂であり、本発明の樹脂組成物では、樹脂組成物の総量に対して80%以上を占める主成分である。PBATの含有量は、樹脂組成物の全量に対して85~99質量%が好ましく、90~99質量%がより好ましい。PBATの含有量が当該範囲であると、所望の柔軟性を有し、かつ加工性が良好な樹脂組成物が得られる。
PBATは、アジピン酸とテレフタル酸と1,4-ブタンジオールを縮重合して得られる重合体である。PBATにおけるアジピン酸由来の構造単位の量は、PBATを構成する構造単位の総量に対して、10~50モル%程度が好ましく、15~40モル%がより好ましい。一方、テレフタル酸由来の構造単位の量は、PBATを構成する構造単位の総量に対して、5~45モル%程度が好ましく、8~35モル%がより好ましい。さらに、1,4-ブタンジオール由来の構造単位の量は、5~45モル%程度が好ましく、10~30モル%がより好ましい。
PBATは、アジピン酸、テレフタル酸、および1,4-ブタンジオール由来の構成単位以外にも、本発明の目的および効果を損なわない範囲で、他の成分由来の構造単位を一部に含んでいてもよい。他の成分の例には、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリプロピレングリコール、ポリテトラヒドロフラン等のジヒドロキシ化合物;グリコール酸、D-乳酸、L-乳酸、D,L-乳酸、6-ヒドロキシヘキサン酸、グリコリド(1,4-ジオキサン-2,5-ジオン)、D-ジラクチド(3,6-ジメチル-1,4-ジオキサン-2,5-ジオン)、L-ジラクチド(3,6-ジメチル-1,4-ジオキサン-2,5-ジオン)、p-ヒドロキシ安息香酸等のヒドロキシカルボン酸が含まれる。これら由来の構造単位の量は、PBATを構成する構造単位の総量に対して30モル%以下が好ましい。
上記PBATの重量平均分子量は、樹脂組成物の用途や成形温度に応じて適宜選択されるが、3000~1000000が好ましく、20000~600000がより好ましく、50000~400000がさらに好ましい。PBATの上記重量平均分子量は、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)によって測定される標準ポリスチレン換算値である。PBATの重量平均分子量が当該範囲であると、樹脂組成物を成形する際の流動性が所望の範囲になりやすい。
PBATのキャピラリーレオメーターによって測定される、せん断速度20s-1で200℃における粘度は、1000~3000Pa・sが好ましく、1200~2500Pa・sがより好ましい。粘度が当該範囲であると、樹脂組成物の粘度が所望の範囲に収まりやすく、射出成型等によって加工しやすい。
PBATは、上記各成分を重合して調製してもよいが、市販品であってもよい。PBATの市販品の例には、BASF社製のエコフレックス(ecoflex)等が含まれる。
・脂肪族系ポリエステル
脂肪族系ポリエステルは、後述の特定の構造を有するポリエステル樹脂であり、樹脂組成物が脂肪族系ポリエステルを含むと、樹脂組成物の溶融粘度が高まり、さらには比較的高い温度で樹脂組成物を硬化(結晶化)できる。

当該脂肪族系ポリエステルの量は、樹脂組成物の総量に対して0.5~9質量%が好ましく、1~8質量%がより好ましい。また、上記PBAT100質量部に対する脂肪族系ポリエステルの量は1~10質量部であればよいが、1~9質量部が好ましく、2~8質量部がより好ましい。脂肪族系ポリエステルの量が1質量部以上であると、比較的低温でも流動性が良好になる。一方、脂肪族系ポリエステルの量が10質量部より多いと、結晶化温度は下がるものの、得られる成形体においてブリードアウトが生じることがある、また、脂肪族ポリエステルの量が当該範囲であると、得られる成形体が適度な柔軟性を有するため、弾性を必要とする用途に適用できる。
また、上述の脂肪族系ポリエステルの量を上記範囲とすることで、PBAT本来の柔軟性を低下させることなく、樹脂組成物の成形性を高めることが可能である。
脂肪族系ポリエステルは、下記一般式で表される重合体である。
上記一般式中、R1およびR4は、それぞれ独立に、炭素数1~12のアルキル基を表す。R1およびR4の炭素数は3~11がより好ましく、5~10がさらに好ましい。なお、R1およびR4は直鎖状であってもよく、分岐していてもよい。また、R1およびR4は同一であってもよく、異なっていてもよい。
一方、R2およびR3は、それぞれ独立に炭素数2~5のアルキル基を表す。R2およびR3は、通常、ジカルボン酸由来の構造である。当該R2およびR3の炭素数が2~5であると、脂肪族系ポリエステルと上述のPBATとの親和性が高くなり、樹脂組成物の溶融粘度が低下しやすくなり、さらにはPBATが結晶化しやすくなる。なお、R2およびR3は分岐していてもよいが、直鎖状がより好ましい。さらにR2およびR3は異なっていてもよいが、通常同一の構造である。また、R2およびR3は、いずれも炭素数4、すなわちアジピン酸由来の構造であることが特に好ましい。
一方、Gは炭素数2~12のアルキル基を表し、通常、ジオール由来の構造である。Gの炭素数は2~10がより好ましく、3~8がさらに好ましい。Gは直鎖状であってもよく、分岐していてもよい。Gの炭素数が上記範囲であると、上述のPBATと脂肪族系ポリエステルとの親和性が高まりやすい。
さらに、nは2~10の整数を表し、2~9がより好ましく、2~8がさらに好ましい。nの数は、脂肪族系ポリエステルの粘度等に合わせて調整できる。なお、脂肪族系ポリエステルの共軸二重円筒型回転粘度計を用いて角周波数1Hzで、25℃における測定される粘度は、100~10000mPa・sが好ましく、300~5000mPa・sがより好ましい。脂肪族系ポリエステルの粘度が当該範囲であると、樹脂組成物の粘度が所望の範囲に収まりやすい。
脂肪族系ポリエステルの重量平均分子量は400~8000が好ましく、500~5000がより好ましく、800~3000がさらに好ましい。脂肪族系ポリエステルの重量平均分子量が当該範囲であると、脂肪族系ポリエステルの粘度が所望の範囲に収まりやすく、PBATと混合しやすくなる。脂肪族系ポリエステルの重量平均分子量は、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)によって測定される、標準ポリスチレン換算値である。
当該脂肪族系ポリエステルは、例えばジカルボン酸とジオールとを公知の方法で重合することによって調製できる。調製に使用するジカルボン酸の例には、グルタル酸、アジピン酸またはピメリン酸が含まれる。また、当該調製に使用するジオールの例には、エチレングリコール、1,2-プロパンジオール、1,3-プロパンジオール、2-メチル-1,3-プロパンジオール、2,2-ジメチル-1,3-プロパンジオール、2,2-ジエチル-1,3-プロパンジオール、1,2-ブタンジオール、1,3-ブタンジオール、1,4-ブタンジオール、1,5-ペンタンジオール、1,5-ヘキサンジオール、1,6-ヘキサンジオール、3-メチル-1,5-ペンタンジオール、2-エチル-1,3-ヘキサンジオール、2,2,4-トリメチル-1,3-ペンタンジオール、1,7-ヘプタンジオール、1,8-オクタンジオール、1,2-オクタンジオール等が含まれる。
・脂肪族系エステル化合物
樹脂組成物は、炭素数2~5の脂肪酸由来の構造を含む脂肪族系エステル化合物をさらに含んでいてもよい。本明細書における脂肪族系エステル化合物とは、一分子中のエステル結合の数が2以下である低分子量のエステル化合物である。脂肪族系エステル化合物の例には、炭素数2~5のアルキル基を有するジカルボン酸と一価のアルコールとの反応物等が含まれる。
樹脂組成物は、炭素数2~5の脂肪酸由来の構造を含む脂肪族系エステル化合物をさらに含んでいてもよい。本明細書における脂肪族系エステル化合物とは、一分子中のエステル結合の数が2以下である低分子量のエステル化合物である。脂肪族系エステル化合物の例には、炭素数2~5のアルキル基を有するジカルボン酸と一価のアルコールとの反応物等が含まれる。
樹脂組成物が、当該脂肪族系エステル化合物を含むと、脂肪族系エステル化合物が結晶促進剤として機能し、樹脂組成物の結晶化温度が高まりやすくなる。ただし、脂肪族系エステル化合物の量が過剰であると、得られる成形体の柔軟性が損なわれやすい。したがって、脂肪族系エステル化合物の量は、PBAT100質量部に対して5質量部以下が好ましく、0.1~4質量部がより好ましい。脂肪族系エステル化合物の量が当該範囲であると、得られる成形体が過度に硬くなり難い。
上記脂肪族系エステル化合物は、グルタル酸、アジピン酸、またはピメリン酸由来の構造を含むことが好ましく、アジピン酸由来の構造を含むことが特に好ましい。脂肪族系エステル化合物が、アジピン酸由来の構造を有すると、上述のPBATと脂肪族系エステル化合物との親和性が非常に良好になり、脂肪族系エステル化合物がPBATの結晶化を促進しやすい。
また、上記アジピン酸等と反応させるアルコールの例には、炭素数が2~12である、直鎖状または分岐の一価のアルコールが含まれる。一価のアルコールの例には、エタノール、ブタノール、イソブチルアルコール、イソノニルアルコール、イソデシルアルコール、2-エチルヘキサノール、n-オクタノール、n-デシルアルコール、ブチルジグリコール等が含まれる。
脂肪族系エステル化合物の分子量は150~500が好ましく、200~450がより好ましく、250~400がさらに好ましい。脂肪族系エステル化合物の分子量が当該範囲であると、樹脂組成物の結晶性が良好になりやすい。
・リン酸エステル金属塩
樹脂組成物は、特定の構造を有するリン酸エステル金属塩をさらに含んでいてもよい。リン酸エステル金属塩は結晶核剤として機能するため、リン酸エステル金属塩を含む樹脂組成物では、結晶化温度が高くなる。

ただし、当該リン酸エステル金属塩の量が過剰になると、得られる成形体の柔軟性が低くなる。そこで、当該リン酸エステル金属塩の量は、PBAT100質量部に対して5質量部以下が好ましく、0.1~2質量部がより好ましい。リン酸金属塩の量が当該範囲であると、得られる成形体が過度に硬くなり難い。
リン酸エステル金属塩は、以下の一般式で表される。
上記一般式中、A1およびA2は、それぞれ独立に水素原子または炭素数1~4のアルキル基を表す。A1およびA2は同一であってもよく、異なっていてもよい。また、A3~A6は、それぞれ独立に炭素数1~12のアルキル基を表し、これらは同一であってもよく、異なっていてもよい。また、A1~A6は、直鎖状であってもよく、分岐していてもよい。
Mは、アルカリ金属原子、アルカリ土類金属原子、および遷移金属原子からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種の金属原子を表し、その例には、Li、Na、K、Al、Mg、Ca等が含まれ、Li、Na、Alがより好ましい。nは1または2を表す。
・その他
樹脂組成物は、本発明の目的および効果を損なわない範囲において、上記以外の成分を含んでいてもよい。上記以外の成分の例には、劣化防止を目的とした紫外線吸収剤や酸化防止剤等が含まれる。

・樹脂組成物の調製方法および成形方法
上述の樹脂組成物は、PBATや脂肪族系ポリエステル、脂肪族系エステル化合物、さらにはリン酸エステル金属塩等を混合し、公知の方法で混練すること等によって調製できる。

上記樹脂組成物の200℃における溶融粘度は、300~1500Pa・sが好ましく、500~1200Pa・sがより好ましい。樹脂組成物の溶融粘度が当該範囲であると、流動性が高まり、後述の点滴灌漑用チューブのエミッタなど、微細な構造の成形物の製造に適用しやすくなる。なお、溶融粘度は、キャピラリーレオメーターによって剪断速度20s-1で測定される値である。
一方、上記樹脂組成物の結晶化温度は、50~95℃であることが好ましく、60~85℃であることがより好ましい。結晶化温度が当該範囲であると、比較的短時間に樹脂組成物を硬化させることができ、成形時のサイクル時間を短くできる。結晶化温度は、示差走査熱量計によって測定される値である。具体的には、室温から200℃まで10℃/分で昇温させて200℃で5分間保持した後、-10℃/分で-50℃まで冷却したときに得られるチャートにおいて、冷却過程における発熱のピークトップとして観察される値である。
また、上述の樹脂組成物は、公知の方法によって、成形できる。成形方法の例には、射出成形、押出成形、中空成形、圧縮成形、トランスファー成形、カレンダー成形等が含まれ、これらの中でも特に射出成形が好ましい。射出成形は、インサート成形、ガスアシスト射出成形、射出圧縮成形等のいずれであってもよい。
2.点滴灌漑用チューブ(エミッタおよびチューブ)
本発明の樹脂組成物の用途は特に制限されず、生分解性が要求される用途、例えば点滴灌漑用チューブのエミッタやチューブに用いることができる。エミッタやチューブが、生分解性を有すると、これらが不要になった際、土壌埋設処理やコンポスト処理することができ、環境に負荷をかけることなく処理できる。ただし、上述の樹脂組成物の用途は、エミッタおよびチューブに制限されない。また、エミッタは、上述の樹脂組成物を射出成形すること等によって形成でき、チューブは、上述の樹脂組成物を押出成形すること等によって形成できる。
本発明の樹脂組成物の用途は特に制限されず、生分解性が要求される用途、例えば点滴灌漑用チューブのエミッタやチューブに用いることができる。エミッタやチューブが、生分解性を有すると、これらが不要になった際、土壌埋設処理やコンポスト処理することができ、環境に負荷をかけることなく処理できる。ただし、上述の樹脂組成物の用途は、エミッタおよびチューブに制限されない。また、エミッタは、上述の樹脂組成物を射出成形すること等によって形成でき、チューブは、上述の樹脂組成物を押出成形すること等によって形成できる。
以下、本発明の樹脂組成物を使用可能な点滴灌漑用チューブ(エミッタおよびチューブ)の一例について、図面を用いて説明する。ただし、本発明のエミッタおよびチューブは、以下の構造に限定されない。
図1に、点滴灌漑用チューブ100の断面図を示す。図1に示すように、点滴灌漑用チューブ100は、チューブ110およびエミッタ120を有する。上述の樹脂組成物は、チューブ110およびエミッタ120のいずれにも使用可能である。ここで、チューブ110内を流動させる灌漑用液体の例には、水、液体肥料、農薬およびこれらの混合液が含まれる。
チューブ110は、灌漑用液体を流すための管であり、その軸方向に沿って、所定の間隔(例えば、200mm以上500mm以下)で灌漑用液体を吐出するための複数の吐出口111を有する。チューブ110の吐出口111の開口部の直径は、灌漑用液体を吐出できれば特に限定されない。図1に示す実施の形態では、吐出口111の開口部の直径は、1.5mmである。チューブ110の軸方向に垂直な断面形状および断面積は、チューブ110の内部にエミッタ120を配置できれば特に限定されない。
一方、エミッタ120は、チューブ110の内壁面112、かつ上記吐出口111に対応する位置に接合される部材であり、点滴灌漑用チューブ100からの灌漑用液体の吐出量を調整するための部材である。チューブ110とエミッタ120との接合方法は、特に限定されず、これらは溶着されていてもよく、接着剤によって接合されていてもよい。
図2Aに、エミッタ120の平面図を示し、図2Bに当該エミッタ120の底面図を示す。さらに、図2Cに、左側面図を示し、図2Dに右側面図を示す。図3は、図2AにおけるA-A線における断面図である。
エミッタ120の形状は、図2A~図2Dに示すように、四隅がR面取りされた略矩形状である。エミッタ120の大きさは、特に限定されず、吐出口111から吐出される灌漑用液体の所望の量に基づいて、適宜決定されればよい。本実施の形態では、エミッタ120の長辺方向の長さは19mmであり、短辺方向の長さは8mmであり、高さは2.7mmである。
エミッタ120は、チューブ110側から灌漑用液体を取り込むための取水部131と、チューブ110の吐出口111に対応する位置に配置され、チューブ110の吐出口111に灌漑用液体を吐出するための吐出部137と、これらをつなぐ溝132(流路142)と、を有する。ただし、本実施の形態のエミッタ120は、流路142と吐出部137との間に流量調整部136をさらに有する。
取水部131は、エミッタ120の表面側(チューブ110軸方向中心側)に配置された、灌漑用液体をエミッタ120内に取り込むための構造である。当該取水部131は、取水側スクリーン部146および取水用貫通孔147を有する。取水側スクリーン部146は、灌漑用液体中の浮遊物が取水用貫通孔147内に侵入することを防止するための構造である。
溝132は、図2Bに示すように、エミッタ120の裏面側(チューブ110の内壁面112側)に配置されており、当該溝132とチューブ110とに囲まれた領域が灌漑用液体の流路142となる。溝132は、取水部131の取水用貫通孔147と流量調整部136とをつないでいればよく、直線状であってもよく、曲線状であってもよく、ジグザグ状であってもよい。本実施形態では、直線状の溝と、ジグザグ状の溝とが組み合わせられている。ジグザグ状の領域では、取水部131から取り入れられた灌漑用液体の圧力を減圧させることができる。
流量調整部136は、エミッタ120内に取り入れられた灌漑用液体の吐出量を調整するための構造である。図3に示すように、流量調整部136は、台座161と、当該台座161に対向するダイヤフラム部153と、台座161側からエミッタ120の裏面側を繋ぐ連通孔151と、台座161に配置された連絡溝162と、溝132(流路142)から灌漑用液体を流量調整部136側(台座161とダイヤフラム部153との間)に取り入れるための切り欠き溝150(図4B参照)と、を有する。流量調整部136では、灌漑用液体を、切り欠き溝150を介して台座161とダイヤフラム部153との間に取り込み、連通孔151を介して吐出部137側に流動させる。
このような流量調整部136を有するエミッタ120は、第1本体部12aと第2本体部120bとで構成される。そこで、流量調整部136の構造をわかりやすくするため、エミッタ120を組み立てる前の構造、すなわち第1本体部120aおよび第2本体部120bの構造を図4A~図4Cに示す。図4Aは、第1本体部120aおよび第2本体部120bの裏面側の構造を示し、図4Bは第1本体部120aおよび第2本体部120bの表面側の構造を示す。図4Cは、図4AのA-A線における断面図を示す。エミッタ120を製造する際には、第1本体部120aおよび第2本体部120bを繋ぐヒンジ123を切り離し、第2本体部120bを第1本体部120aの裏面側に嵌合させる。このとき、台座161と、ダイヤフラム部153とが対向するように、第1本体部120aおよび第2本体部120bを嵌合させる。
切り欠き溝150は、溝132(流路142)から導入される灌漑用液体を台座161とダイヤフラム部153との間に適切に導くために使用される。切り欠き溝150の形状は、上記機能を発揮できれば、特に限定されない。本実施の形態では、切り欠き溝150は、直線状に形成されている。
台座161は、灌漑用液体の圧力により変形したダイヤフラム部153が接触する領域である。台座161の形状は、特に限定されない。台座161の形状は、曲面であってもよいし、平面であってもよい。本実施の形態では、台座161の形状は、平面である。台座161が配置された平面の一部には、切り欠き溝150が形成されている。
連通孔151は、台座161とダイヤフラム部153との間に流入した灌漑用液体をチューブ110の吐出部137に向けて流動させるために使用される孔である。本実施の形態では、連通孔151は、台座161の中央部分に開口している。連通孔151の開口部の大きさも特に限定されず、適宜設定できる。
連絡溝162は、ダイヤフラム部153が撓んで台座161に接触した状態でも灌漑用液体を連通孔151に導くための溝である。連絡溝162の一方の端部は、連通孔151に連絡している。連絡溝162の他方の端部は、ダイヤフラム部153と台座161とが接触する領域より外側に配置される。
ダイヤフラム部153は、チューブ110内を流れる灌漑用液体の圧力によって台座161側に撓むことが可能であれば特に制限されず、本実施の形態におけるダイヤフラム部153の平面視形状は、円形状である。本実施の形態において、ダイヤフラム部153は、エミッタ120の他の構成(取水部131や流路142)と一体に成形されている。
一方、吐出部137は、上述の流量調整部136の貫通孔151を介してエミッタ120側に流動する灌漑用液体を一時的に貯留するための領域である。吐出部137に到達した灌漑用液体は、吐出口111から外部に排出される。
当該エミッタ120では、取水部131から取り込まれた灌漑用液体が、溝132(流路142)を介して流量調整部136に流れ込む。流量調整部136では、灌漑用液体が、切り欠き溝150を介して台座161とダイヤフラム部153との間に取り込まれる。ここで、チューブ110内の灌漑用液体の圧力が低い場合には、流量調整部136のダイヤフラム部153と台座161とが略平行となり、灌漑用液体が吐出部137側に容易に流動する。一方、チューブ110内の灌漑用液体の圧力が高くなると、本発明の材料は適切な弾性率を有しているため、流量調整部136のダイヤフラム部153が台座161側に撓む。その結果、ダイヤフラム部153と台座161との間隙が少なくなり、連通孔151側から吐出部137側に灌漑用液体が流動しにくくなる。そして、チューブ110内の灌漑用液体の圧力が非常に高い場合には、ダイヤフラム部153と台座161とが密着する。つまり、ダイヤフラム部153によって台座161が塞がれる。ただしこの場合も、一定量の灌漑用液体は、連絡溝162を介して、連通孔151内に流れ込む。
チューブ110内を流れる灌漑用液体の圧力が低い場合には、エミッタ120内に取り込まれる灌漑用液体の量が少なくなり、チューブ110内を流れる灌漑用液体の圧力が高い場合には、エミッタ120内に取り込まれる灌漑用液体の量が多くなる。そこで、流量調整部136によって、上述のように吐出部137側に流れ込む灌漑用液体の量を調整することで、チューブ110内の灌漑用液体の圧力に関わらず、連通孔151から吐出部137側に流動する灌漑用液体の量を略一定に保つことができる。
本発明を実施例に基づき詳細に説明するが、本発明はこれらの実施例に限定されない。
[材料の準備]
・PBAT:BASF社製、製品名Ecoflex C1200
・脂肪族系ポリエステルB-1:ADEKA社製、PN7650(アジピン酸系ポリエステル、25℃、角周波数1Hz、共軸二重円筒型回転粘度計で測定の粘度:3000mPa・s)
・脂肪族系ポリエステルB-2:ADEKA社製、PN7160(アジピン酸系ポリエステル、25℃、角周波数1Hz、共軸二重円筒型回転粘度計で測定の粘度:150mPa・s)
・脂肪族系ポリエステルB-3:JPlus社製、D623(アジピン酸系ポリエステル、25℃、角周波数1Hz、共軸二重円筒型回転粘度計で測定の粘度:3000mPa・s)
・脂肪族系エステル化合物:富士フィルム和光純薬社製、アジピン酸ジイソノニル(25℃、角周波数1Hz、共軸二重円筒型回転粘度計で測定の粘度:16mPa・s)
・リン酸エステル金属塩:東京化成工業株式会社製、2,2’-メチレンビス(4,6-ジ-tert-ブチルフェニル)リン酸ナトリウム
・PBAT:BASF社製、製品名Ecoflex C1200

[実施例1]
(樹脂組成物の調製)
PBAT 100質量部と、脂肪族系ポリエステルB-1 1質量部とを混合し、160℃、2本ロールミルで5分間混練して樹脂組成物を得た。

[実施例2~13および比較例1~6]
表1および表2に示すように、組成を変更した以外は、実施例1と同様に樹脂組成物を調製した。

[評価]
実施例および比較例の樹脂組成物の200℃における溶融粘度、当該樹脂組成物の結晶化温度、成形体の外観の評価、およびブリードアウトの有無を以下の方法で確認した。結果を表1に示す。

・樹脂組成物の200℃における溶融粘度の測定
樹脂組成物を200℃にしたときの粘度を、キャピラリーレオメーターにて、剪断速度20s-1で測定した。得られた溶融粘度について、以下の基準で評価した。
〇:1200Pa・s以下
△:1200Pa・s超1500Pa・s以下
×:1500Pa・s超

・樹脂組成物の結晶化温度の測定
各樹脂組成物をカッターなどで薄く削り取った。得られた薄片(約8mg)をDSC測定用パンに挿入、密着させた。そして、示差走査熱量計(株式会社リガク製、製品名DSCvesta)を用いて当該サンプルの結晶化温度を測定した。具体的には、10℃/分で200℃まで昇温させて5分間保持した後、-10℃/分で-50℃まで冷却した。そして、得られたチャートにおいて、冷却過程における発熱のピークトップを、樹脂組成物の結晶化温度とした。
各樹脂組成物をカッターなどで薄く削り取った。得られた薄片(約8mg)をDSC測定用パンに挿入、密着させた。そして、示差走査熱量計(株式会社リガク製、製品名DSCvesta)を用いて当該サンプルの結晶化温度を測定した。具体的には、10℃/分で200℃まで昇温させて5分間保持した後、-10℃/分で-50℃まで冷却した。そして、得られたチャートにおいて、冷却過程における発熱のピークトップを、樹脂組成物の結晶化温度とした。
・サイクル時間20秒での成形体外観の評価
当該樹脂組成物を射出成形機(住友重機械工業株式会社製、製品名SE30S)に導入し、200℃に加熱するとともに、60℃の金型内に導入し、図4A~図4Cに示す構造を有する成形体を得た。そして、10秒間冷却し、成形体を金型から取り外した。射出成形にかかった時間(サイクル時間)は20秒であった。当該成形体を組み立てて、エミッタとした。エミッタについて、目視および光学顕微鏡で外観を評価した。評価基準は以下である。
○:外観不良なし
△:軽微なヒケまたは軽微なショートが見られた
×:ヒケ、ショート、反りねじれが生じた、もしくは成形不能であった
当該樹脂組成物を射出成形機(住友重機械工業株式会社製、製品名SE30S)に導入し、200℃に加熱するとともに、60℃の金型内に導入し、図4A~図4Cに示す構造を有する成形体を得た。そして、10秒間冷却し、成形体を金型から取り外した。射出成形にかかった時間(サイクル時間)は20秒であった。当該成形体を組み立てて、エミッタとした。エミッタについて、目視および光学顕微鏡で外観を評価した。評価基準は以下である。
○:外観不良なし
△:軽微なヒケまたは軽微なショートが見られた
×:ヒケ、ショート、反りねじれが生じた、もしくは成形不能であった
・成形体からのブリードアウトの有無の確認
上述のように作製したエミッタを室温で1週間放置した。その後、エミッタの表面状態を目視で確認し、ブリードアウトの有無を確認した。そして、以下の基準で評価した。
〇:ブリードアウト確認されなかった
△:ブリードアウトが微量に確認された
×:ブリードアウトが多量に確認された
上述のように作製したエミッタを室温で1週間放置した。その後、エミッタの表面状態を目視で確認し、ブリードアウトの有無を確認した。そして、以下の基準で評価した。
〇:ブリードアウト確認されなかった
△:ブリードアウトが微量に確認された
×:ブリードアウトが多量に確認された
上記表1および表2に示されるように、PBAT100質量部に対して、特定の構造の脂肪族系ポリエステルを含む場合には、いずれも200℃における溶融粘度が低かった(実施例1~13)。さらに、これらの実施例では、結晶化温度が69℃以上であり、比較的短時間で成形を行うことができた。
これに対し、PBAT100質量部に対して、特定の構造の脂肪族系ポリエステルの量が10質量部を超えると、ブリードアウトが生じやすくなった(比較例5および6)。さらに、脂肪族系ポリエステル樹脂を一切含まない場合には200℃における溶融粘度が高くなった(比較例1~4)。
本出願は、2020年4月24日出願の特願2020-077697号に基づく優先権を主張する。当該出願明細書および図面に記載された内容は、すべて本願明細書に援用される。
本発明の樹脂組成物は、使用後に環境に負荷をかけることなく、土壌埋設処理やコンポスト処理できる。また、当該樹脂組成物によれば、効率よく成形体を製造できる。したがって、点滴灌漑用チューブ(エミッタやチューブ等)や、各種包装部材等、多種多様な用途に適用可能である。

- 炭素数2~5の脂肪酸由来の構造を含む脂肪族系エステル化合物を5質量部以下、さらに含む、
請求項1に記載の樹脂組成物。 - 灌漑用液体を流通させるチューブの内壁面、かつ前記チューブの内外を連通する吐出口に対応する位置に接合されたとき、前記チューブ内の前記灌漑用液体を前記吐出口から定量的に前記チューブ外に吐出するためのエミッタであって、
前記灌漑用液体を取り入れるための取水部と、
前記灌漑用液体を前記吐出口に吐出するための吐出部と、
前記取水部および前記吐出部を繋ぐ流路と、
を有し、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂組成物を含む、
