出発物質からの化学反応を解析する解析方法であって、前記出発物質、前記化学反応によって生じる中間生成物および最終生成物の少なくとも一部、および、前記化学反応の反応経路を示す反応ネットワークダイアグラムを準備する準備工程S1と、人工知能アルゴリズムを用いて、各反応経路における反応速度を予測する予測工程S2と、を備える解析方法。
Description
本開示は、出発物質からの化学反応を解析する解析方法、解析装置、解析システムおよび解析プログラムに関する。
従来より、出発物質からの化学反応によって所望の生成物を効率よく得るために、研究者は、反応装置を用いて自身の経験則等に基づき反応条件を変えながら化学反応の実験を繰り返し、より効率的な反応条件を探っていく方法が採られていた。このような方法では、研究者自らが反応条件を決定する必要があり、さらに、反応装置の稼働とデータの分析に人間が介在するために、時間がかかっていた。
これに対し、特許文献1では、ある選択基準に基づいて化合物ライブラリから選択された化合物のサブセットの化学反応を分析し、その分析結果から生成された選択基準に基づいて、再度、化合物ライブラリから化合物のサブセットを選択するというサイクルを反復することで、所望の物性、化学特性、および/または生物活性特性を有する化学エンティティを生成することが開示されている。特許文献2では、反応系内の各分子を構成する原子について、時間ステップ毎に分子動力学計算を行うステップと、前記時間ステップ前後で前記反応系内に化学反応が起こった場合、前記化学反応に寄与した反応分子及び生成分子を特定するステップと、前記反応分子と前記生成分子との原子の関連性に基づいて、前記関連性のある反応分子及び生成分子から構成された素反応を構築するステップと、前記構築した素反応の反応速度定数を算出するステップと、を含む反応機構生成方法が開示されている。
しかしながら、特許文献1では、化合物のサブセットの選択基準に反応速度の概念が含まれていない。また、特許文献2では、個々の化学反応の反応速度定数を算出しているが、初期分子から生じる化学反応の分岐的な反応経路を考慮していない。そのため、特許文献1および特許文献2では、所望の生成物を効率的に得るための反応条件を探索することが難しいという問題があった。
本開示は、上記問題を解決するためになされたものであって、化学反応の良好な反応条件を効率的に探索することを課題とする。
上記課題を解決するために、本開示の1つの態様に係る解析方法は、

解析方法の概要
図1は、本実施形態に係る解析方法の処理手順を示すフローチャートである。本実施形態に係る解析方法は、出発物質からの化学反応を解析する解析方法であって、
前記出発物質、前記化学反応によって生じる中間生成物および最終生成物の少なくとも一部、および、前記化学反応の反応経路を示す反応ネットワークダイアグラムを準備する準備工程S1と、

を備える。化学反応は、分解反応でも合成反応でも重合反応でもよいが、より好ましくは分解反応である。分解反応の例として、薬剤の分解(体内での代謝に関連する分解)、フロンによるオゾン(層)破壊、排ガス中のNOxの分解無害化、化成品の分解メカニズムの解析、及び、エッチング加工が挙げられる。

を備える。化学反応は、分解反応でも合成反応でも重合反応でもよいが、より好ましくは分解反応である。分解反応の例として、薬剤の分解(体内での代謝に関連する分解)、フロンによるオゾン(層)破壊、排ガス中のNOxの分解無害化、化成品の分解メカニズムの解析、及び、エッチング加工が挙げられる。
これらの工程S1~S5は、本実施形態に係る解析システム100によって実行することができる。以下、工程S1~S5の処理内容について、図2~図11を参照して説明する。
解析システムの構成
図2は、解析システム100の概略構成を示す機能ブロック図である。解析システム100は、解析装置1と、PLC2と、反応装置3と、分析装置4と、を備える。

解析装置1は、出発物質からの化学反応を解析する装置である。解析装置1のハードウェア構成は特に限定されないが、汎用のコンピュータの他、タブレット端末、スマートフォン等の携帯型コンピュータや、量子コンピュータ等で解析装置1を構成することができる。
解析装置1は、機能ブロックとして、準備部11と、予測部12と、更新部13と、反応条件探索部14と、を備える。解析装置1が汎用のコンピュータで構成される場合、これらの各部11~14は、本実施形態に係る解析プログラムを解析装置1のGPUまたはCPUが主記憶装置に読み出して実行することにより実現することができる。解析プログラムは、インターネット等の通信ネットワークを介して解析装置1にダウンロードしてもよいし、CD-ROM等のコンピュータ読み取り可能な非一時的な記録媒体に解析プログラムを記録しておき、当該記憶媒体を介して解析装置1にインストールしてもよい。各部11~14の機能については、後述する。
PLC2は、反応装置3を制御するための制御装置である。なお、PLC2の機能を解析装置1が備えてもよい。
反応装置3は、分解反応や付加反応などの化学反応を実施するための装置である。反応装置3は、化学物質を収容する反応器31を備え、設定された反応条件(例えば、温度および滞留時間)で、反応器31内での化学反応を連鎖的に進行させることができる。
分析装置4は、反応器31内の物質の成分を分析する装置である。なお、分析装置4の機能を反応装置3が備えてもよい。
解析方法の詳細
以下、図1に示す、出発物質からの化学反応を解析する解析方法の各工程S1~S5を、解析システム100によって実行する場合の、処理内容について説明する。

準備工程
準備工程S1は、解析装置1の準備部11によって実行される。準備部11は、前記出発物質、前記化学反応によって生じる中間生成物および最終生成物の少なくとも一部、および、前記化学反応の反応経路を示す反応ネットワークダイアグラムを準備する機能を有する。

図3は、反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDの一例を示している。反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDは、出発物質からの化学反応をモデル化した図面であり、出発物質A、化学反応によって生じる中間生成物B~Vおよび最終生成物W、および、前記化学反応の反応経路を示している。中間生成物B~Vおよび最終生成物Wは、出発物質Aからの化学反応によって生じる中間生成物および最終生成物の一部であり、中間生成物B~Vおよび最終生成物Wの中に、所望の化学物質が含まれている。
出発物質A、中間生成物B~Vおよび最終生成物Wは、気体であっても液体であっても固体であってもよく、気体であることが好ましい。出発物質A、中間生成物B~Vおよび最終生成物Wは、低分子であっても高分子であってもよいが、低分子であることが好ましい。中間生成物B~Vおよび最終生成物Wの数、ならびに、反応経路の数は、特に限定されないが、後述する予測工程S2、更新工程S4および反応条件探索工程S5における演算量を考慮して決定される。また、反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDに、最終生成物が含まれていなくてもよい。
図4は、準備工程S1の詳細を示すフローチャートである。準備工程S1は、全体ダイアグラム生成工程S11と、簡略化工程S12と、を有する。
全体ダイアグラム生成工程S11において、準備部11は、ユーザによって出発物質が指定されると、前記出発物質、前記化学反応によって生じる中間生成物および最終生成物の(ほぼ)全部、および、前記化学反応の(ほぼ)全ての反応経路を示す網羅的な反応ネットワークダイアグラム(全体ダイアグラム)を生成する。全体ダイアグラムは、あらかじめ定められた反応パターンに従って自動的に生成することができる。例えば、化学反応が分解反応である場合、出発物質から脱離する物質の想定可能なパターンに応じて、出発物質から生成される1つまたは複数の中間生成物が決定される。同様に、中間生成物から脱離する物質の想定可能なパターンに応じて、さらなる中間生成物が決定される。これを繰り返していくことにより、全体ダイアグラムが生成される。
なお、全体ダイアグラムは、中間生成物および最終生成物を全て含む必要はない。同様に、全体ダイアグラムは、化学反応の反応経路を全て含む必要はない。全体ダイアグラムにおける反応経路の数は、例えば約5000であるが、特に限定されない。
全体ダイアグラムでは、(ほぼ)全ての反応経路が示されているが、後述する予測工程S2、更新工程S4および反応条件探索工程S5において全体ダイアグラムを用いると、演算量が膨大になる。そこで、本実施形態では、簡略化工程S12を実行する。
簡略化工程S12において、準備部11は、全体ダイアグラムを簡略化して、図3に示す反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDを生成する。全体ダイアグラムを簡略化する方法は特に限定されないが、例えば、全体ダイアグラムに対して畳み込み処理を行うことにより、反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDを生成することができる。
以上により、準備工程S1が完了する。
予測工程
予測工程S2は、解析装置1の予測部12によって実行される。予測部12は、人工知能アルゴリズムを用いて、各反応経路における反応速度を予測する機能を有する。人工知能アルゴリズムは特に限定されないが、勾配法アルゴリズム、遺伝的アルゴリズム、またはそれらの組み合わせが好ましい。
予測工程S2は、解析装置1の予測部12によって実行される。予測部12は、人工知能アルゴリズムを用いて、各反応経路における反応速度を予測する機能を有する。人工知能アルゴリズムは特に限定されないが、勾配法アルゴリズム、遺伝的アルゴリズム、またはそれらの組み合わせが好ましい。
図5は、予測工程S2の詳細を示すフローチャートである。予測工程S2は、速度定数演算工程S21と、速度定数修正工程S22と、を有する。
速度定数演算工程S21において、予測部12は、各反応経路における反応速度を示す速度定数を求める。本実施形態では、予測部12は、アレニウスの式に基づき速度定数を求める。アレニウスの式において、速度定数kは、
で表される。ここで、Aは頻度因子であり、Eaは1molあたりの活性化エネルギーであり、Rは気体定数であり、Tは絶対温度である。速度定数kは、化学反応における温度および滞留時間によって変動するため、速度定数演算工程S21では、予測部12は、反応条件として、温度T0および滞留時間t0における各反応経路の速度定数k1-0~kn-0(nは、反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDにおける反応経路の数)を速度定数の初期値として演算する。温度T0および滞留時間t0は、ユーザによって与えられてもよいし、予測部12がランダムに与えてもよい。
図6は、速度定数の初期値が付された反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDを示している。煩雑化を避けるため、図6では、7つの経路の速度定数k1-0~k7-0のみが示されている。なお、各経路における反応速度を直感的に把握できるようにするため、反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDでは、経路を示す線の太さを速度定数の大きさに対応させている。
速度定数修正工程S22において、予測部12は、人工知能アルゴリズムによって、速度定数を修正する。本実施形態では、人工知能アルゴリズムとして、勾配法アルゴリズム、遺伝的アルゴリズム、またはそれらの組み合わせを用いて、反応条件(ここでは、温度および滞留時間)を変えながら、評価関数の値(例えば、目的の化学物質の収率、コスト等)が大きくなるように、速度定数k1-0~kn-0を修正する。これにより、評価関数が最大化される反応条件が探索され、速度定数は、理論上、評価関数が最大となる速度定数k1-1~kn-1に収束する。この速度定数k1-1~kn-1が予測工程S2において予測された反応速度となる。このときの反応条件を、温度T1および滞留時間t1とする。なお、反応条件は、温度および滞留時間に限定されず、例えば、反応時間、反応圧力、原料濃度、原料の仕込み流量であってもよい。
図7は、速度定数の理論最適値が付された反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDを示している。煩雑化を避けるため、図7では、7つの経路の速度定数k1-1~k7-1のみが示されている。
なお、勾配法アルゴリズムのみを用いた場合、速度定数が局所解に陥る可能性があるため、遺伝的アルゴリズム、または、勾配法アルゴリズムと遺伝的アルゴリズムとの組み合わせに係るアルゴリズムを用いることがより好ましい。
以上により、予測工程S2が完了する。
実施工程、反応条件探索工程、更新工程
実施工程S3では、複数通りの反応条件で反応装置3を用いて、化学反応を複数回実施する。後述するように、実施工程S3~反応条件探索工程S5は、複数回繰り返されるため、1回の実施工程S3では、ある1つの反応条件で化学反応を1回実施することになる。

本実施形態では、温度T2~T3かつ滞留時間t2~t3の範囲内で反応条件を変えながら、出発物質Aを反応装置3の反応器31内で化学反応させる。本実施形態では、温度T2、T3は、T2<T3、かつ、T1=(T2+T3)/2を満たすが、T2<T1<T3を満たし、かつ、反応装置3が動作可能な温度であれば、特に限定されない。同様に、本実施形態では、滞留時間t2、t3は、t2<t3、かつ、t1=(t2+t3)/2を満たすが、t2<t1<t3を満たすのであれば、特に限定されない。化学反応の反応条件は、後述する反応条件探索部14によって設定されるが、後述するように、反応条件探索工程S5を省略する場合、ユーザが化学反応の反応条件を設定してもよい。PLC2は、設定された反応条件に従って、反応装置3を制御する。
反応装置3における化学反応が完了すると、分析装置4が、反応器31内の各化学物質の濃度、および目的の化合物の収率を分析する。さらに、分析装置4は、分析した濃度および収率を実施工程の結果として解析装置1にフィードバックする。
続いて、更新工程S4では、更新部13が、予測工程S2において予測された反応速度を、実施工程S3の結果に基づいて更新する。本実施形態では、更新部13は、自動微分法によって、前記予測された反応速度を更新する。具体的には、更新部13は、分析装置4の濃度、および目的の化合物の収率の出力結果と、直前の予測工程S2で求めた反応速度群の反応ネットワークダイアグラムから出力される化合物の濃度、および目的の化合物の収率の出力結果とを比較して、誤差が最小となるように速度定数k1-1~kn-1を速度定数k1-2~kn-2に更新する。
図8は、速度定数が1回更新された反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDを示している。煩雑化を避けるため、図8では、7つの経路の速度定数k1-2~k7-2のみが示されている。
続いて、反応条件探索工程S5では、反応条件探索部14が、実施工程S3の反応条件および結果に基づき、最適な反応条件を探索する。本実施形態では、反応条件探索部14は、ベイズ最適化によって前記最適な反応条件を探索する。1回目の反応条件探索工程S5では、反応条件探索部14は、図9に示すように、1回目の実施工程S3における反応条件とその結果を記録する。図9において、丸印の濃淡は、目的関数の大きさに対応しており、目的関数が小さい(薄い)ほど、収率が高い(結果が良好である)ことを意味する。そして、反応条件探索部14は、最適化理論に基づき、次の実施工程S3の反応条件を決定する。
実施工程S3~反応条件探索工程S5を繰り返す回数は、特に限定されないが、更新工程S4において速度定数が十分に収束し、かつ、反応条件探索工程S5において最適な反応条件を探索できる(局所解に陥るおそれがない)程度に十分な回数(m回とする)になるまで(ステップS6においてYES)、繰り返されることが好ましい。
例えば、i回目(1<i<m)の実施工程S3では、i-1回目の反応条件探索工程S5において反応条件探索部14が決定した反応条件に従って、PLC2が反応装置3を制御することにより化学反応を実施する。i回目の更新工程S4では、更新部13が、1~i回目の実施工程S3の結果に基づいて、反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDの速度定数を更新する。更新工程S4の回数が増えるほど、速度定数の自由度が小さくなるので、速度定数が所定値に収束していく。i回目の反応条件探索工程S5では、反応条件探索部14が、i回目の実施工程S3における反応条件とその結果を記録するとともに、最適化理論に基づき、i+1回目の実施工程S3の反応条件を決定する。
図10は、m回目の更新工程S4の完了後における反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDを示している。図10では、全経路の速度定数k1-m+1~k7-m+1のうち、k1-m+1~k7-m+1のみが示されている。速度定数k1-m+1~k7-m+1が反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDにおける真の速度定数とみなすことができる。
図10の反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDに基づき、収率の高い反応経路を容易に見出すことができる。化学反応によって生じる副生成物については、従来の反応経路探索では考慮されないことが多かったが、反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDには、副生成物も含まれているため、ユーザの経験則や既存の理論では見落とされていた反応経路も見出すことが期待できる。
図11は、最適化後(m回目の反応条件探索工程S5の完了後)におけるベイズ最適化の一例を示す説明図である。図11では、反応条件を示すプロットの数はmであり、破線枠内に最適な反応条件が存在することが示唆されている。これに基づき、最適またはそれに近い反応条件を容易に見出すことができる。
以上のように、本実施形態では、準備工程S1において、反応ネットワークダイアグラムを準備し、予測工程S2において、勾配法アルゴリズムなどの人工知能アルゴリズムによって、反応ネットワークダイアグラムの反応速度を予測している。反応ネットワークダイアグラムは、化学的な知見に基づいて生成され、反応ネットワークダイアグラムに示された反応経路を考慮した人工知能アルゴリズムによって反応速度を予測しているため、化学反応の良好な反応条件を効率的に探索することができる。これに対し、特許文献1では、化学反応の反応速度が考慮されていない。特許文献2では、出発物質(初期分子)から生じる化学反応の反応経路を示す反応ネットワークダイアグラムは用いられておらず、反応経路を考慮した人工知能アルゴリズムによって反応速度を予測することも開示されていない。
さらに、実施工程S3~反応条件探索工程S5では、ベイズ最適化などによって、反応装置を用いた化学反応の実施結果に基づき、反応条件を帰納法的に探索しているので、より良好な反応条件を短時間で探索することができる。これにより、反応条件の探索にかかる人手を減らし、探索の高効率化を図ることができる。

例えば、上記実施形態では、更新工程S4の後に反応条件探索工程S5を実行していたが、反応条件探索工程S5の後に更新工程S4を実行してもよい。あるいは、更新工程S4および反応条件探索工程S5を同時に実行してもよい。
また、反応条件探索工程S5は、省略してもよい。その場合、実施工程S3および更新工程S4を、反応条件を変えながら1回ずつ繰り返してもよいし、先に実施工程S3を複数通りの反応条件で複数回実行し、その後、更新工程S4を実行してもよい。
また、準備工程S1および予測工程S2、または、準備工程S1のみを省略してもよい。その場合、例えばユーザが自身の経験則などに基づいて反応ネットワークダイアグラムを作成してもよい。
また、実施工程S3~反応条件探索工程S5を省略し、予測工程S2で得られた反応ネットワークダイアグラムNDに基づき、反応経路を探索してもよい。予測工程S2で予測された反応速度は、勾配法アルゴリズムなどの人工知能アルゴリズムによって予測された理論上の反応速度であるが、局所解に陥るなどの大きな誤差を生じていない限り、最適に近い反応経路を見出すことが可能である。
また、上記実施形態では、予測工程S2において、人工知能アルゴリズムとして、勾配法アルゴリズム、遺伝的アルゴリズム、またはそれらの組み合わせを用いていたが、本開示はこれらに限定されない。予測工程S2では、例えば、ガウスニュートン法、EMアルゴリズムなどの人工知能アルゴリズムも用いることができる。
また、上記実施形態では、反応条件探索工程S5において、ベイズ最適化によって最適な反応条件を探索していたが、最適な反応条件を探索する方法は、これに限定されない。反応条件探索工程S5では、例えば、遺伝的アルゴリズム、蟻コロニー最適化、強化学習などの方法も用いることができる。
また、上記実施形態では、探索対象である反応条件が温度および滞留時間であったが、反応条件の種類および数は特に限定されない。例えば、原料分圧を反応条件に含めてもよい。
本開示は、あらゆる化学物質を生成するための化学反応の反応条件探索に適用できる。

Claims (12)
- 出発物質からの化学反応を解析する解析方法であって、
前記出発物質、前記化学反応によって生じる中間生成物および最終生成物の少なくとも一部、および、前記化学反応の反応経路を示す反応ネットワークダイアグラムを準備する準備工程と、
人工知能アルゴリズムを用いて、各反応経路における反応速度を予測する予測工程と、
を備える解析方法。 - 前記予測工程は、
前記反応速度を示す速度定数を求める速度定数演算工程と、
前記人工知能アルゴリズムによって、前記速度定数を修正する速度定数修正工程と、
を備える、請求項1に記載の解析方法。 - 前記速度定数演算工程では、アレニウスの式に基づき前記速度定数を求める、請求項2に記載の解析方法。
- 前記人工知能アルゴリズムは、勾配法アルゴリズム、遺伝的アルゴリズム、またはそれらの組み合わせである、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の解析方法。
- 複数通りの反応条件で反応装置を用いて、前記化学反応を複数回実施する実施工程と、
前記予測された反応速度を、前記実施工程の結果に基づいて更新する更新工程と、
をさらに備える請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の解析方法。 - 出発物質からの化学反応を解析する解析方法であって、
複数通りの反応条件で反応装置を用いて、前記化学反応を複数回実施する実施工程と、
前記出発物質、前記化学反応によって生じる中間生成物および最終生成物の少なくとも一部、並びに、前記化学反応の反応経路を示す反応ネットワークダイアグラムの各反応経路における反応速度を、前記実施工程の結果に基づいて更新する更新工程と、
を備える解析方法。 - 前記更新工程では、自動微分法によって前記反応速度を更新する、請求項5または6に記載の解析方法。
- 前記複数通りの反応条件および各反応条件に対応する前記実施工程の結果に基づき、最適な反応条件を探索する反応条件探索工程
をさらに備える、請求項5~7のいずれかに記載の解析方法。 - 前記反応条件探索工程では、ベイズ最適化によって前記最適な反応条件を探索する、請求項8に記載の解析方法。
- 出発物質からの化学反応を解析する解析装置であって、
