본 특허와 관련된 연구는 산업통상자원부(연구관리 전문기관: 한국에너지기술평가원) 주관 하에 산업기술혁신사업 계획서(과제명: 글로벌 분산전원 시장 진출을 위한 신재생에너지 융복합 해외 실증, 과제고유번호: 2018301041150)의 지원에 의해 이루어진 것이다.
본 발명은 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다.
에너지 산업의 발달과 국가 제도적인 변화에 따라, 신재생 에너지의 도입이 늘어나고 에너지 체계가 분산화 되면서 에너지 저장 장치의 도입이 점차 증가하고 있다. 일반적으로 신재생 에너지는 자연에서 얻을 수 있는 에너지와 기존 에너지를 재활용해서 얻을 수 있는 에너지를 뜻한다. 기존 화석연료를 변환하여 이용하거나 햇빛, 물, 강수, 생물 유기체 등을 포함하여 재생이 가능한 에너지로 변환하여 이용하는 에너지를 말한다. 재생에너지에는 태양광, 태양열, 바이오, 풍력, 수력 등이 있고, 신에너지에는 연료전지, 수소에너지 등이 있다.
에너지 저장 장치(ESS: Energy Storage System)는 예를 들어 태양광으로 대표되는 신재생 에너지 발전 시스템과 전력 저장 시스템을 연계한 것으로, 충전 및 방전이 가능한 배터리에 신재생 에너지 또는 전력 계통의 잉여 전력을 저장하고 필요 시 부하에 전력을 공급하는 시스템이다.
대형 발전소 또는 관공서 뿐만 아니라 상업시설 및 가정에도 에너지 저장 장치를 도입하는 사례가 늘고 있다. 이는 분산 자원의 도입이 늘어날 뿐만 아니라 시간대별 차등 요금제 등 에너지 가격 체계의 변화로 인해 도입이 증가하고 있다. 에너지 저장 장치가 분산 자원이 발전한 전력을 단순히 저장하여 그 전력을 사용하는 목적뿐만 아니라, 전력 수급을 안정화하고 전력 피크 수요와 시간대별 수요를 조절함으로써 수요 절감과 전력 요금 절감을 할 수 있는 목적을 가지고 도입하는 경우가 확대되었기 때문이다. 또한, 에너지 저장 장치를 도입한 소규모 분산 자원에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 에너지 저장 장치에 대한 제어 및 예측 기술의 필요성이 증대되고 있다.
일반적으로 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치는 분산 자원에서 발전된 에너지 또는 계통의 전력으로 에너지 저장 장치를 충전하고, 부하에 전력 공급이 필요할 때 에너지 저장 장치를 통해 부하에 전력을 공급한다.
이종 분산 자원 및 에너지 저장 장치에 대한 관심이 점차 높아지고, 에너지 저장 장치가 복수의 전력 공급원을 통해 배터리를 충전하고 부하에 전력을 공급하면서 점차 시스템 복잡도가 높아지고 있다. 따라서 복수의 신재생 에너지가 결합된 신재생 에너지원의 특성에 따라 최적화되고 이종 분산 자원의 저장 및 소비를 보다 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 기술이 요구된다. 여러 에너지 저장 장치의 제어 및 예측 기술이 개발되고 있으나, 이종 분산 자원이 결합되어 있는 경우라도 개별적인 분산 자원에 대한 발전 제어 및 전력 저장 동작만이 수행되고 있다.

본 발명의 실시 예들은 에너지 저장 장치에 일정한 충전 값을 결정할 수 있어, 성능 상태(SOH, State Of Health)에 영향을 미치는 적합한 충전 값을 판단할 수 있는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법 및 장치를 제공하고자 한다.
본 발명의 실시 예들은 우기 및 건기 시즌에 따른 에너지 저장 장치의 방전 출력 값을 설정하여, 설정된 변수 값에 따른 에너지 저장 장치의 출력 부하 값을 결정할 수 있는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법 및 장치를 제공하고자 한다.
다만, 본 발명의 해결하고자 하는 과제는 이에 한정되는 것이 아니며, 본 발명의 사상 및 영역으로부터 벗어나지 않는 범위의 환경에서도 다양하게 확장될 수 있을 것이다.

이종 분산 자원(110)은 태양광, 수력, 풍력, 조력 등과 같은 이종 분산 자원을 이용하여 발전을 수행하는 발전 설비를 나타낸다. 이종 분산 자원(110)은 서로 다른 종류의 분산 자원을 발전시킬 수 있는 발전원을 포함할 수 있다. 추가로 이종 분산 자원(110)은 자연 에너지를 전기 에너지 또는 열에너지 등으로 변환할 수 있는 구성을 포함할 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에서는 이종 분산 자원(110)으로 태양광 발전원(111)과 수력 발전원(112)을 예시로 지정하기로 한다. 이종 분산 자원(110)은 태양광 발전원(111) 및 수력 발전원(112)을 포함한다.
부하(140)는 전력을 소비하는 수용가를 나타내며, 가정, 빌딩, 공장 등의 전력을 소비하는 시설을 나타낸다. 가정용 또는 산업용 설비가 전력의 소비 주체가 될 수 있으며, 각 소비 주체의 종류 및 시간에 따라 필요한 전력량, 전압 등의 구체적인 요구 사항이 달라질 수 있다.

우기 시즌에는 태양광 발전은 미비하지만, 풍부해진 강수량으로 인한 수력 발전량의 증가로 에너지 저장 장치(130)를 충전할 수 있는 조건이 성립된다.
반면, 건기 시즌에는 부족한 강수량으로 인한 수력의 발전은 미비하지만, 풍부해진 일사량으로 인한 태양광 발전량의 증가로 에너지 저장 장치(130)를 충전할 수 있는 조건이 성립된다.
또한, 건기 및 우기 시즌에 영향을 많이 받는 지역일수록 에너지 저장 장치(130)에 방전량이 시즌 별로 일정한 패턴을 보이기 때문에, 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 시즌 별 에너지 저장 장치(130)에 방전량을 변경하여 운영할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 시즌에 따른 충전 알고리즘을 구분하여 운전을 할 경우, 에너지 저장 장치(130)의 일일 충전량(Wh)과 충전 값(Power)을 예측할 수 있다.

변형 예로, 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 태양광의 일일 출력 값 P[dx]과 수력 발전원(112)의 일일 출력 값 P[dx]을 누적 비교한다. 그리고 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 어느 하나의 발전원의 일일 출력 값이 정격 출력(P[sx] 또는 H[sx])의 값에 증가하고, 정격 출력에 가까운 출력 값을 기 설정된 시간 동안 계속 유지하면 해당되는 시즌으로 판단할 수 있다. 태양광 및 수력의 출력 값은 일정 기간 증가 패턴을 보이지만, 정격 출력에 가까워 졌을 경우 증가 패턴을 보이지 않을 수 있다.
도 5는 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 장치의 구성을 나타낸 구성도이다.
도 5에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 통신 모듈(210), 메모리(220) 및 프로세서(230)를 포함한다. 그러나 도시된 구성요소 모두가 필수 구성요소인 것은 아니다. 도시된 구성요소보다 많은 구성요소에 의해 지능형 운전 장치(120)가 구현될 수도 있고, 그보다 적은 구성요소에 의해서도 지능형 운전 장치(120)가 구현될 수 있다.
이하, 도 5의 지능형 운전 장치(120)의 각 구성요소들의 구체적인 구성 및 동작을 설명한다.
에너지 저장 장치(130)는 태양광 발전원(111) 및 수력 발전원(112)의 이종 분산 자원(110)과 연계되어 있다.
통신 모듈(210)은 태양광 발전원(111) 및 수력 발전원(112)의 이종 분산 자원(110)과 통신한다. 통신 모듈(210)은 이종 분산 자원(110)과 대응되는 각각의 출력량을 수신한다. 또는 통신 모듈(210)은 이종 분산 자원(110)과 관련된 다양한 정보를 수신하거나, 에너지 저장 장치(130) 또는 외부 서버(예컨대, 전력 서버, 기상 서버 등)과 통신할 수 있다.
메모리(220)는 하나 이상의 프로그램을 저장한다.
프로세서(230)는 통신 모듈(210) 및 메모리(220)와 연결된다. 프로세서(230)는, 적어도 하나의 프로그램을 실행함으로써, 통신 모듈(210)을 통해 수집된 태양광 발전원(111)의 출력량과 수력 발전원(112)의 출력량을 비교하여 에너지 저장 장치(130)의 1차 충전 대상을 설정하고, 태양광 발전원(111)의 출력량과 수력 발전원(112)의 출력량을 누적 연산하고, 누적 연산된 태양광 발전원(111)의 출력량과 수력 발전원(112)의 출력량을 비교하여 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌으로 판단하고, 그 판단된 시즌 결과에 대응되는 분산 자원의 출력을 2차 충전 대상으로 설정한다.
실시 예들에 따르면, 프로세서(230)는 기 설정된 제1 시간(예컨대, 하루, 11시간 등) 동안의 태양광 발전원(111)의 출력량을 태양광 발전원(111)의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값과, 기 설정된 제1 시간 동안의 수력 발전원(112)의 출력량을 수력 발전원(112)의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값을 비교하여 에너지 저장 장치(130)의 1차 충전 대상을 설정할 수 있다.
실시 예들에 따르면, 프로세서(230)는 기 설정된 제2 시간(예컨대, 7일, 77시간 등) 동안에 누적 연산된 태양광 발전원(111)의 출력량을 태양광 발전원(111)의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값과, 기 설정된 제2 시간 동안에 누적 연산된 수력 발전원(112)의 출력량을 수력 발전원(112)의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값을 비교하여 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌으로 판단할 수 있다.
실시 예들에 따르면, 프로세서(230)는 설정된 2차 충전 대상으로 설정된 분산 자원의 출력량을 모니터링하고, 그 모니터링된 분산 자원의 출력량의 증가 패턴 유무에 따라 그 설정된 2차 충전 대상을 유지하거나 재설정할 수 있다.
실시 예들에 따르면, 프로세서(230)는 모니터링된 분산 자원의 출력량이 증가 패턴을 가지다가 정격 출력에 근접하는 경우 그 설정된 2차 충전 대상을 유지하고, 모니터링된 분산 자원의 출력량이 증가 패턴을 가지다가 감소 패턴을 가지는 경우 그 설정된 2차 충전 대상을 재설정할 수 있다.
실시 예들에 따르면, 프로세서(230)는 기 설정된 날짜 또는 기 설정된 주기마다 태양광 발전원(111)의 출력량과 수력 발전원(112)의 출력량을 비교하여 에너지 저장 장치(130)의 1차 충전 대상을 설정할 수 있다.
실시 예들에 따르면, 프로세서(230)는 에너지 저장 장치(130)와 연결된 부하(140)의 패턴과 판단된 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌을 기초로 하여 상기 에너지 저장 장치(130)를 선택적으로 방전 시킬 수 있다.
이와 같이, 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 수력 발전원(112)과 태양광 발전원(111)이 포함된 이종 분산 자원(110)에 연계된 에너지 저장 장치(130)를 운전하는 방법에 있어서, 건기 및 우기 시즌에 따른 이종 분산 자원(110)의 출력이 변동됨에 따라 이를 최적으로 관리할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 이종 분산 자원(110)의 출력을 계속 모니터링하여 안정적인 충전 값을 산정하는 데 있어, 수력 및 태양광의 분산 자원의 출력 변수를 설정하고, 수력과 태양광 출력 중에서 안정적인 값을 선택함으로써, 에너지 저장 장치(130)를 안정적으로 충전할 수 있다.
또한, 건기와 우기 시즌이 지역의 환경적인 요인에 따라 건기 시즌만 있는 경우, 건기 및 우기 시즌이 함께 있는 경우, 우기 시즌만 있는 경우 등으로 구분된다. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 지역의 환경적인 요인을 고려하여 수력과 태양광의 출력 값을 이용하여 해당 시즌을 판단하여 안정적인 충전 대상을 설정할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 지능형 운전 장치(120)는 지역 특성에 따라 전기 및 기상 정보를 받을 수 없는 지역에 대해서도, 수력과 태양광 발전원(111)의 출력 값을 이용하여 충전 대상을 정확하게 설정할 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따르면, 이상에서 설명된 다양한 실시 예들은 기기(machine)(예: 컴퓨터)로 읽을 수 있는 저장 매체(machine-readable storage media)에 저장된 명령어를 포함하는 소프트웨어로 구현될 수 있다. 기기는, 저장 매체로부터 저장된 명령어를 호출하고, 호출된 명령어에 따라 동작이 가능한 장치로서, 개시된 실시 예들에 따른 전자 장치(예: 전자 장치(A))를 포함할 수 있다. 명령이 프로세서에 의해 실행될 경우, 프로세서가 직접, 또는 프로세서의 제어 하에 다른 구성요소들을 이용하여 명령에 해당하는 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 명령은 컴파일러 또는 인터프리터에 의해 생성 또는 실행되는 코드를 포함할 수 있다. 기기로 읽을 수 있는 저장 매체는, 비일시적(non-transitory) 저장매체의 형태로 제공될 수 있다. 여기서, '비일시적'은 저장 매체가 신호(signal)를 포함하지 않으며 실재(tangible)한다는 것을 의미할 뿐 데이터가 저장매체에 반영구적 또는 임시적으로 저장됨을 구분하지 않는다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따르면, 이상에서 설명된 다양한 실시 예들에 따른 방법은 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품(computer program product)에 포함되어 제공될 수 있다. 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품은 상품으로서 판매자 및 구매자 간에 거래될 수 있다. 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품은 기기로 읽을 수 있는 저장 매체(예: compact disc read only memory (CD-ROM))의 형태로, 또는 어플리케이션 스토어(예: 플레이 스토어TM)를 통해 온라인으로 배포될 수 있다. 온라인 배포의 경우에, 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품의 적어도 일부는 제조사의 서버, 어플리케이션 스토어의 서버, 또는 중계 서버의 메모리와 같은 저장 매체에 적어도 일시 저장되거나, 임시적으로 생성될 수 있다.

한편, 상술한 다양한 실시 예들에 따른 기기의 프로세스 동작을 수행하기 위한 컴퓨터 명령어(computer instructions)는 비일시적 컴퓨터 판독 가능 매체(non-transitory computer-readable medium)에 저장될 수 있다. 이러한 비일시적 컴퓨터 판독 가능 매체에 저장된 컴퓨터 명령어는 특정 기기의 프로세서에 의해 실행되었을 때 상술한 다양한 실시 예에 따른 기기에서의 처리 동작을 특정 기기가 수행하도록 한다. 비일시적 컴퓨터 판독 가능 매체는 레지스터, 캐쉬, 메모리 등과 같이 짧은 순간 동안 데이터를 저장하는 매체가 아니라 반영구적으로 데이터를 저장하며, 기기에 의해 판독(reading)이 가능한 매체를 의미한다. 비일시적 컴퓨터 판독 가능 매체의 구체적인 예로는, CD, DVD, 하드 디스크, 블루레이 디스크, USB, 메모리카드, ROM 등이 있을 수 있다.
또한, 상술한 다양한 실시 예들에 따른 구성 요소(예: 모듈 또는 프로그램) 각각은 단수 또는 복수의 개체로 구성될 수 있으며, 전술한 해당 서브 구성 요소들 중 일부 서브 구성 요소가 생략되거나, 또는 다른 서브 구성 요소가 다양한 실시 예에 더 포함될 수 있다. 대체적으로 또는 추가적으로, 일부 구성 요소들(예: 모듈 또는 프로그램)은 하나의 개체로 통합되어, 통합되기 이전의 각각의 해당 구성 요소에 의해 수행되는 기능을 동일 또는 유사하게 수행할 수 있다. 다양한 실시 예들에 따른, 모듈, 프로그램 또는 다른 구성 요소에 의해 수행되는 동작들은 순차적, 병렬적, 반복적 또는 휴리스틱하게 실행되거나, 적어도 일부 동작이 다른 순서로 실행되거나, 생략되거나, 또는 다른 동작이 추가될 수 있다.
이상에서는 본 발명의 바람직한 실시 예에 대하여 도시하고 설명하였지만, 본 발명은 상술한 특정의 실시 예에 한정되지 아니하며, 청구범위에서 청구하는 본 발명의 요지를 벗어남이 없이 당해 개시에 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의해 다양한 변형 실시가 가능한 것은 물론이고, 이러한 변형실시들은 본 발명의 기술적 사상이나 전망으로부터 개별적으로 이해되어져서는 안될 것이다.

Claims (14)

  1. 태양광 발전원 및 수력 발전원의 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 운전 방법에 있어서,
    태양광 발전원의 출력량과 수력 발전원의 출력량을 비교하여 에너지 저장 장치의 1차 충전 대상을 설정하는 단계;
    상기 태양광 발전원의 출력량과 상기 수력 발전원의 출력량을 누적 연산하고, 상기 누적 연산된 태양광 발전원의 출력량과 수력 발전원의 출력량을 비교하여 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌으로 판단하는 단계; 및
    상기 판단된 시즌 결과에 대응되는 분산 자원의 출력을 2차 충전 대상으로 설정하는 단계를 포함하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 1차 충전 대상을 설정하는 단계는,
    기 설정된 제1 시간 동안의 태양광 발전원의 출력량을 상기 태양광 발전원의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값과, 기 설정된 제1 시간 동안의 수력 발전원의 출력량을 상기 수력 발전원의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값을 비교하여 에너지 저장 장치의 1차 충전 대상을 설정하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌으로 판단하는 단계는,
    기 설정된 제2 시간 동안에 누적 연산된 태양광 발전원의 출력량을 상기 태양광 발전원의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값과, 기 설정된 제2 시간 동안에 누적 연산된 수력 발전원의 출력량을 상기 수력 발전원의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값을 비교하여 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌으로 판단하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 설정된 2차 충전 대상으로 설정된 분산 자원의 출력량을 모니터링하고, 상기 모니터링된 분산 자원의 출력량의 증가 패턴 유무에 따라 상기 설정된 2차 충전 대상을 유지하거나 재설정하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서,
    상기 설정된 2차 충전 대상을 유지하거나 재설정하는 단계는,
    상기 모니터링된 분산 자원의 출력량이 증가 패턴을 가지다가 정격 출력에 근접하는 경우 상기 설정된 2차 충전 대상을 유지하고, 상기 모니터링된 분산 자원의 출력량이 증가 패턴을 가지다가 감소 패턴을 가지는 경우 상기 설정된 2차 충전 대상을 재설정하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법.
  6. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 1차 충전 대상을 설정하는 단계는,
    기 설정된 날짜 또는 기 설정된 주기마다 태양광 발전원의 출력량과 수력 발전원의 출력량을 비교하여 에너지 저장 장치의 1차 충전 대상을 설정하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법.
  7. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 에너지 저장 장치와 연결된 부하의 패턴과 상기 판단된 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌을 기초로 하여 상기 에너지 저장 장치를 선택적으로 방전시키는 단계를 더 포함하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 방법.
  8. 태양광 발전원 및 수력 발전원의 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치;
    상기 태양광 발전원 및 상기 수력 발전원의 이종 분산 자원과 통신하는 통신 모듈;
    하나 이상의 프로그램을 저장하는 메모리; 및
    상기 저장된 하나 이상의 프로그램을 실행하는 프로세서를 포함하고,
    상기 프로세서는,
    상기 통신 모듈을 통해 수집된 태양광 발전원의 출력량과 수력 발전원의 출력량을 비교하여 에너지 저장 장치의 1차 충전 대상을 설정하고,
    상기 태양광 발전원의 출력량과 상기 수력 발전원의 출력량을 누적 연산하고, 상기 누적 연산된 태양광 발전원의 출력량과 수력 발전원의 출력량을 비교하여 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌으로 판단하고,
    상기 판단된 시즌 결과에 대응되는 분산 자원의 출력을 2차 충전 대상으로 설정하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서는,
    기 설정된 제1 시간 동안의 태양광 발전원의 출력량을 상기 태양광 발전원의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값과, 기 설정된 제1 시간 동안의 수력 발전원의 출력량을 상기 수력 발전원의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값을 비교하여 에너지 저장 장치의 1차 충전 대상을 설정하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 장치.
  10. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서는,
    기 설정된 제2 시간 동안에 누적 연산된 태양광 발전원의 출력량을 상기 태양광 발전원의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값과, 기 설정된 제2 시간 동안에 누적 연산된 수력 발전원의 출력량을 상기 수력 발전원의 정격 출력량으로 나눈 출력 값을 비교하여 건기 시즌 또는 우기 시즌으로 판단하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 장치.
  11. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서는,
    상기 설정된 2차 충전 대상으로 설정된 분산 자원의 출력량을 모니터링하고, 상기 모니터링된 분산 자원의 출력량의 증가 패턴 유무에 따라 상기 설정된 2차 충전 대상을 유지하거나 재설정하는, 이종 분산 자원과 연계된 에너지 저장 장치의 지능형 운전 장치.
  12. 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서는,
