Description

AN IGNITER FOR GAS COOKERS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to igniter assemblies that generate spark in gas cookers to cause the gas-air mixture to ignite, in particular a lighter assembly that provides a high-voltage pulse to the igniter.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
In gas cookers, for example in stoves and ovens, the gas-air mixture supplied by the burner is ignited with the help of an igniter containing a spark plug and flame is obtained. The lighter converts the electricity from the mains to high voltage with the primary and secondary coil winding in its transformer and thus provides a pulse that causes the spark plug to spark. There are terminal ends on the lighter, each of which is located next to a burner and supplies high voltage current to the spark plug. Depending on the burner number to be ignited, the number of terminal ends and the number of windings of the coil supplying pulses to it vary. The transformer is mounted to the gas cooker in an electrically insulated casing.
EP1469255 discloses an igniter for generating sparks at one or more burners of a gas cooker. The lighter has a predetermined output terminal with a primary winding and secondary winding divided into a number of coils. The coils are essentially in cylindrical symmetrical tubular form and are wound at their axially adjacent parts to an electrically insulated drum. The vertically extending support members of the one-piece drum made of electrically insulating material support the corresponding terminals. The coils are electrically connected to each other and are obtained without cutting in a single winding of an insulated electrically conducting wire.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention is to facilitate the fixing of the coil in the igniter transformer for gas cooking appliances.
To achieve the aforementioned objectives, the invention includes an igniter for a gas cooker comprising a core of magnetic material in rod form; a primary winding extending from a connection end connected to the mains, having a first inner coil and at least one subsequent second inner coil provided across the core; an outer frame enclosing the primary winding externally and divided into thereon a first outer winding section and a second outer winding section provided in alignment with the first inner coil and the second inner coil respectivelyThe igniter comprises an inner frame on which the first inner coil and the second inner coil are coaxially wound directly from the outside and disposed inside the outer frame on the core. The inner frame aligned with the first outer winding section and the second outer winding section in a precisely measured manner by previously wound the first inner coil and the second inner coil around the core facilitates mounting the outer frame
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, first inner coil is disposed end to end to a first housing and the second inner coil is disposed end to end to a second housing formed on the outer periphery of the inner frame. The inner frame with primary winding on it is simply disposed inside the outer frame and when the central core penetrates, no damage or axial displacement occurs in the primary winding disposed in the housing. In a possible embodiment, the depth of the housing is equal to the winding height of the primary winding. In such an embodiment, for example in the case of a single winding of the coil, the housing width is equal to the diameter of the coil wire. Thus, when the primary winding is disposed in the inner frame, the outer diameter of the coil wrapped inner frame is equal throughout its length.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention the first housing and the adjacent second housing is having a radial groove forming a front wall and a rear wall on which the first inner coil and the second inner coil rest on opposite sides respectively. With its radial groove form, the inner frame can be easily produced in one piece, for example by plastic injection. In a possible embodiment, the boundaries can be defined by a flange or radial protrusions instead of the groove form.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention comprises an intermediate channel is extending axially on the inner frame outer periphery, connecting the first housing and the second housing to each other. The axial intermediate channel ensures that the one-piece coil, which is wound by extending between the first and the second housing, is embedded in the inner frame without forming a protrusion in the parts passing between the first winding and the second winding.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a locking element is provided at one end of the inner frame and engaging the outer frame to locks in the axial direction. With the locking element, when the inner frame is inserted axially into the hole in the outer frame, it is prevented from returning and leaving the hole by any external factor. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, an support section, is provided radially outwardly at an opposite end part opposite to the end part of the inner frame and limits its movement by abutting the outer frame from a corresponding inlet section. In this case, by passing the inner frame through the hole surrounded by the outer frame, it is ensured that it clings to the inlet section over the support section. Thus, during the driving of the inner frame into the outer frame, it is possible to stop it against axial movement in the direction of travel in the inlet section.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the outer diameter of the inner frame is adjusted such that to contacting the outer frame circumferentially. In this case, when the inner frame passes into the outer frame, it is secured in the radial direction. In addition, there is no need to use a radial stopper.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a retaining head is extending radially outwardly on the inner frame and having a slot on which the connection end is tightly engaged. The retaining head holds the connection end by extending it radially outwardly, such that it conducts electricity towards the grid, for example through a circuit board. In this way, for example the bent connection end is kept in the slit and fixed so as to facilitate assembly.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at the lower part of the retaining head, a retainer protrusion bends the primary winding in the form of a lower twist part at the lower part of the retaining head adjacent to the connection end.. The retaining protrusion creates a resistance in the pulling direction by holding the first coil from its lower twist and prevents the connection end from being dislocated by any external factor.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, core length and inner frame length are substantially equal to each other. Thus, when the core is disposed inside a hole in the inner frame, a compact structure without any outside protrusion is obtained.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, an insulating casing is surrounding the outer frame, such that defining an inner chamber receiving the outer frame. The casing allows safe use by insulating electrically conductive coils and other elements. A safe structure against electric shock can be created, for example, by casting epoxy on the outer frame disposed in the inner chamber.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention a third inner coil extending from the second inner coil is disposed at a third housing adjacent to the second housing and a separator is extending radially outwardly dividing the second housing and the third housing from each other. BERIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 is a perspective exploded illustration of a representative embodiment of the inventive gas cooker igniter.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, inventive development has been described without any restriction and with reference to examples merely to better illustrate the subject matter.
In Figure 1 , a gas cooking device, for example, an igniter structure with eight terminal ends (70) for use in a four-burner gas hob, is shown in an exploded perspective view. A connecting pin (12) and capacitor (14) which are connected to the mains electricity via the hob (not shown) and connected to a circuit board (16), are mounted on an electronic circuit (10). The mains connection to the ignition device is provided with the connection pin (12). A connection end (23) of the primary winding (20) is soldered on the circuit board (16) such that it provides electrical conductivity. The connection end (23) of the primary winding (20) advances in the direction of travel, on the other hand, the parallel second connection end (25), which is an integral part of and the return end of the primary winding (20), advances in the direction of rotation. The primary winding (20) forms four cylindrical winding regions running in a spaced apart manner such that there is a first inner coil (22), a second inner coil (24), a third inner coil (26) and a fourth inner coil (28) in succession to each other. The primary winding (20) is turned back from the upper part, that is the distal end (21) of the fourth inner coil (28) and forms the second connection end (25) parallel and adjacent to the connection end (23). In the turning part from the distal end (21), the primary winding (20) is bent downward after passing the first inner coil (22) and extends vertically upwards by forming a curvilinear lower twist portion (27). Then, by forming an upper bend portion (252) to form an angle of 90°, it extends parallel in manner defining the connection ends (23, 25).
An inner frame (30) is in an elongated drum-like form and is made of insulating plastic material. The primary winding (20) is wrapped around the inner frame (30) from its outer periphery. A locking element (312) in the form of a flexible claw is formed at one end part (31) of the inner frame (30). The locking element (312) has an inwardly flexible structure. At the opposite end, a retaining cap (35) is formed. The retaining head (35) is in the form of a plate extending up from the edge of the inner frame (30) and at its upper end two slots (352) parallel to each other are opened. The width of the slots (352) is adjusted so that each of the connection ends (23, 25) can engage tightly. A semicircular radial retaining protrusion (354) is formed inward from the lower edge of the retaining cap (35). The retaining protrusion (354) forms a bed on which it will rest on the lower bending part (27). On the inner frame (30), radially inward with a distance with the retaining head (35) and corresponding to the windings (22, 24, 26, 28) of the primary winding (20), respectively, a first housing (32), a second housing (34), a third housing (36) and a fourth housing (38) are formed. The first housing (32) extends the width of the first inner coil (22) between a circumferential front wall (321) and an opposite circumferential rear wall (322) at a distance from it. The first housing (32) and the second housing (34) are connected to each other by an axially advancing intermediate channel (342) at the upper part of the adjacent second housing (34). The outgoing and return winding wire of the primary winding (20) passes through the intermediate channel (342). The intermediate channel (342) runs inclined. Thus, the wire in the direction of travel of the primary winding (20) can jump from the first inner coil (33) to the second inner coil (24) with a large radius winding step during winding to the inner frame (30). Separator (37) in the form of a flange separates the close second housing (34) and third housing (36) from each other. A ferromagnetic core (50) having a cylindrical rod structure engages into the circular hole which is surrounded by the inner frame (30).
An outer frame (40) made of insulating material is in the form of a drum surrounding the inner frame (30). At the outer periphery of the outer frame (40), between an inlet section (49) and an outlet section (41), a first winding section (42), a second winding section (44), a third winding section (46) and a fourth winding section (48) corresponding to the windings (22, 24, 26, 28) of the primary winding (20) in alignment are defined. Each winding section (42, 44, 46, 48) of the outer frame (40) containing annular coil winding housings is separated from each other by a separator wall in a plate-like structure. In the corresponding lateral parts of each winding section (42, 44, 46, 48), legs (43) in a columnar structure extend. One terminal end (70) is placed on the legs (43) from a stem portion (74). Terminal ends (70) are in the form of a pin like conductive plate. The stem portions (74) are in contact with a secondary winding (not shown) coiled in the corresponding winding section (42, 44, 46, 48) in a parallel pair such that it conducts electricity. At the outlet part (41), the retaining channel (412) is opened with a discharge on the circular front surface. The retaining channel (412) receives the locking element (312) when the inner frame (30) is placed.
A casing (60) produced by plastic injection has a box-like structure and delimits an inner chamber (62) with open top. An assembly arrangement (64) in the form of a lock is provided on the outer parts of the casing (60) such as to be attached to the stove. At the lower parts of the housing (60), there are connection channels (66) in the form of a sheath, each carrying the connection part (72) of a terminal end (70). With a winding machine, the primary winding (20) starts from the first inner coil (22), winding the inner coil parts (22, 24, 26, 28) one after another in the corresponding housings (32, 34, 36, 38). After winding, the connection ends (23, 25) are engaged to the slots (352) on the retaining head (35). Meanwhile, the lower bending part (27) that engages to the retaining protrusion (354) ensures that the connection ends (23, 25) are fixed in an L-like vertical form at the opposite end part (33). After the core (50) is placed in the inner frame (30) longitudinally coaxially, the inner frame (30) is mounted to the outer frame (40) by placing from the inlet section (49). When the inner frame (30) is placed in the outer frame (40), the support section (332) rests on the inlet section (49) from its front wall. Meanwhile, the locking element (312) engages to the retaining channel (412) from the outlet part (41) and ensures the locking of the inner frame (30) to the outer frame (40) in axial direction. The retaining head (35) fits into a housing located in the inlet section (49) and prevents the radial movement of the inner frame (30) after the outer frame (40) is assembled.
When the assembly is completed, winding housings (32, 34, 36, 38) of the inner frame (30) on which the primary winding (20) is wound and the secondary winding housings (42, 44, 46, 48) of the outer frame (40) are aligned axially. Thus, the mains current connected through the connection pin (12) proceeds on the primary winding (20), to which it reaches from the connection end (23, 25), and provides high voltage pulses from the terminal ends (70) with the help of the secondary winding wound on the outer frame (40) according to the number of windings and allows the lighter to ignite with a spark plug (not shown). Since the primary winding (20) is placed in a corresponding inner frame (30) housing (32, 34, 36, 38) with each winding (22, 24, 26, 28), during placement of the primary winding (20) on the core (50) to the inner section of the outer frame (40), displacement or axial sliding of the windings (22, 24, 26, 28) are prevented.
