Abstract
Description
In certain embodiments, bogie cut-off data may be relevant to the performance characteristics of a set of trains. In general, bogies may be responsible for applying traction and braking. This braking may include both air braking and/or braking using the traction system of the train. Accordingly, cutting off a bogie may lead to a reduction in air brake performance (e.g., stopping distance may decrease) and or a reduction in traction braking/traction, depending on the design of the train. As such, bogie cut-off information may provide insight into the performance characteristics of a set of trains, and be useful when selecting a set of train parameters for a particular set of trains.

transmit, in response to verifying that the set of parameter setting confirmation data achieves an integrity level with respect to the parameter file database, an operation approval command to the first set of trains. - A train control method performed by a train control device provided in a train control server configured to communicate with one or more trains via a communication network in a distributed computing environment, the train control method characterized by:
selecting, using a parameter management unit, a first set of train parameters based on a first set of train data stored in a parameter file database in response to receiving a first set of train data associated with a first set of trains;
transmitting, using a communication unit, the first set of train parameters to the first set of trains;
receiving, using the communication unit, a set of parameter setting confirmation data from the first set of trains;
verifying, using a train parameter verification unit to compare the set of parameter setting confirmation data with the parameter file database, that the set of parameter setting confirmation data achieves an integrity level with respect to the parameter file database; and
transmitting, using the communication unit, an operation approval command to the first set of trains in response to verifying that the set of parameter setting confirmation data achieves an integrity level with respect to the parameter file database.
