Description

显示装置及其制备方法、显示模组 技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种显示装置及其制备方法、显示模组。
背景技术
智能手机作为现代人们生活不可或缺的一部分,其性能备受关注,全面屏手机的出现,不仅提高了手机的美观程度,较高的屏占比也给用户带来更好的视觉体验。为了实现较高的屏占比,采用COF(Chip On Film,芯片封装于薄膜上)技术替代传统的COG(Chip On Glass,芯片封装于玻璃上)技术来进行驱动芯片的封装。
一方面,在模组装整机的时候容易出现驱动芯片与背光模组接触,COF与背光模组之间具有间隙,可能会导致驱动芯片的损坏,且COF工艺对尺寸的要求较高,COF只能做成特定的尺寸;另一方面,COF材料的价格昂贵,不利于节约生产成本。
技术问题
本发明提供一种显示装置及其制备方法、显示模组,以解决现有的显示面板,由于采用COF技术封装驱动芯片,在模组装整机的时候容易导致芯片与背光接触,损坏芯片,且COF的成本较高,不利于节约生产成本的问题。
技术解决方案
为解决上述问题,本发明提供的技术方案如下:
本发明提供一种显示装置,包括显示面板和芯片封装模组,所述显示面板上定义有显示区域和绕所述显示区域设置的边框区域;所述芯片封装模组包括硬质基板、设置于所述硬质基板上的驱动芯片、以及第一柔性电路板;其中,所述第一柔性电路板的第一端与所述显示面板连接,所述第一柔性电路板的第二端与所述硬质基板连接。
在本发明的一种实施例中,所述第一柔性电路板的第一端与所述边框区域连接。
在本发明的一种实施例中,所述芯片封装模组还包括与所述硬质基板连接的第二柔性电路板。

本发明针对现有的显示面板,由于采用COF技术封装驱动芯片,在模组装整机的时候容易导致芯片与背光接触,损坏芯片,且COF的成本较高,不利于节约生产成本,本实施例能够解决该缺陷。
如图1所示,本发明申请一种显示装置100,包括显示面板10和与所述显示面板10连接的芯片封装模组20。
其中,所述显示面板10上定义有显示区域AA和边框区域NA,所述边框区域NA围绕所述显示区域AA设置,所述显示区域AA用于显示画面,所述边框区域NA用以容纳周围走线以及摄像头等遮光器件。
所述芯片封装模组20包括硬质基板21、驱动芯片22、第一柔性电路板23。
其中,所述驱动芯片22设置于所述硬质基板21上,所述第一柔性电路板23的第一端与所述显示面板10连接,所述第一柔性电路板23的第二端与所述硬质基板21连接,其中,所述第一柔性电路板23的所述第一端和所述第二端为所述第一柔性电路板23的两个相对的端部。
如图2所示,所述第一柔性电路板23具有柔韧性,可进行弯折,使得所述硬质基板21和所述驱动芯片22一起弯折到所述显示面板10的背面(与所述显示面板10的发光面相对的一侧表面),进而节省所述显示面板10的边框区域的面积,从而提高所述显示面板10的屏占比。

先在所述衬底基板11的位于下边框区域的部分制备所述驱动芯片22,之后将所述玻璃基板切割成两块基板,一块基板是包括所述显示区域AA的显示面板10,另一块基板是包括所述驱动芯片22的硬质基板21。之后利用柔性电路板将两块基板连接起来,形成“COG”结构。
在其他实施例中,所述衬底基板11与所述硬质基板21可不采用同一玻璃基板进行切割,所述衬底基板11上可不预留出所述驱动芯片22的封装区域,直接选取尺寸合适的玻璃基板作为所述硬质基板21。
本发明还提供一种包括上述显示装置100的显示模组,所述显示模组包括用于组装整机的框架,所述框架支撑所述显示面板10,且所述框架上设置有与所述驱动芯片22相匹配的凹槽,所述驱动芯片22收容于所述凹槽内,避免所述驱动芯片与其他部件相接触挤压而受到损伤。
本实施例以液晶显示模组为例,所述显示模组还包括提供光源的背光模组,在所述显示面板10和所述芯片封装模组20进行整机组装时,所述凹槽可避免所述驱动芯片22与所述背光模组接触导致所述驱动芯片22损伤。与现有的COF技术相比,所述硬质基板21的尺寸设计不受限制,可根据整机的需要进行相应的设计,且所述硬质基板21与现有的COF工艺相比,生产成本更低;同时,所述硬质基板21与所述衬底基板11可为同一张基板切割而成的两张基板,能够简化工艺,节省原料成本。
如图2和图4所示,本实施例还提供一种上述显示装置100的制备方法,包括:
S10,提供一包括衬底基板11的显示面板10,其上定义有显示区域AA和绕所述显示区域AA设置的边框区域NA。
S20,在所述衬底基板11上绑定驱动芯片22,所述驱动芯片22位于所述边框区域NA;
S30,对所述衬底基板11进行切割,得到一绑定有所述驱动芯片22的硬质基板21;
S40,利用第一柔性电路板23将所述硬质基板21与所述显示面板10连接。

  9. 根据权利要求7所述的显示模组,其中,所述芯片封装模组还包括与所述硬质基板连接的第二柔性电路板。
  10. 根据权利要求9所述的显示模组,其中,所述第一柔性电路板的第二端与所述硬质基板的靠近所述显示面板的一端连接,所述第二柔性电路板与所述硬质基板远离所述显示面板的一端连接。
  11. 根据权利要求7所述的显示模组,其中,所述硬质基板为玻璃基板。
  12. 根据权利要求11所述的显示模组,其中,所述显示面板还包括衬底基板,所述衬底基板与所述硬质基板分别为同一张基板切割而成的两张基板。
  13. 一种显示装置的制备方法,包括:
    S10,提供一包括衬底基板的显示面板,其上定义有显示区域和绕所述显示区域设置的边框区域。
    S20,在所述衬底基板上绑定驱动芯片,所述驱动芯片位于所述边框区域;
    S30,对所述衬底基板进行切割,得到一绑定有所述驱动芯片的硬质基板;
    S40,利用第一柔性电路板将所述硬质基板与所述显示面板连接。
  14. 根据权利要求13所述的制备方法,其中,所述制备方法还包括:
    S50,将第二柔性电路板与所述硬质基板连接。
  15. 根据权利要求14所述的显示装置的制备方法,其中,所述第一柔性电路板的第二端与所述硬质基板的靠近所述显示面板的一端连接,所述第二柔性电路板与所述硬质基板远离所述显示面板的一端连接。
  16. 根据权利要求13所述的制备方法,其中,在所述S30中,沿着一切割线将所述衬底基板切割成两部分,其中一部分为所述硬质基板,所述切割线位于所述显示区域与所述驱动芯片之间。
  17. 根据权利要求13所述的制备方法,其中,所述衬底基板为玻璃基板。
