본 발명의 실시예 2에 따른 실험예 2에서는 대조구 및 실험구 1(2배희석), 실험구 2(4배희석), 실험구 3(7배희석), 실험구 4(10배희석)를 미국산 COBB 100마리씩, 병아리 7일령을 개시연령으로 하여 성체 28일령 출하하고 도체 체중을 확인하여 각 육계의 평균체중을 확인하였다. 사료는 실험의 정확도를 기하기 위하여 동일 사료를 급여하였고, 사료 섭취를 돕기 위하여 음용수를 년령에 맞게 총 3,000ml를 자동화하여 각 급여 및 음수 프로그램에 따라 제공하였다. 일반적으로 7일령 이상인 경우 하루 음수량은 80g에서 28일령에는 220g 정도를 음용하고 있어 평균적으로 총 21일간 3,000ml 정도의 음수량을 제공하여 실험을 하였다. 그리고 대조구는 항생제 타이로신 0.5g을 21일 간 총 음용수량에 잘 혼합하여 제한 급여하였다. 그리고 실험구 1,2,3,4는 본발명의 기능성 쑥과 닭의장풀을 함유한 닭 사료첨가제 혼합조성물을 물 2배, 4배, 7배, 10배를 희석하여 4일 후 사용하는 것이 테스트하였다. 그 결과 하기 표 2에서 나타난바와 같이 대조구에 비하여 평균체중의 증가율(사료효율)이 실험구 1이 12.5% 증가하여 유의한 효과를 나타내었고, 실험구 2는 9.0%, 그리고 실험구 3은 6.5%, 실험구 4는 5.5% 정도의 유의적 효과가 나타났다.
