The present invention provides a holographic projection type smart robot. The smart robot comprises: a communication module, used for communicating with a mobile terminal of a user and receiving holographic input data; a processing module, used for encrypting the holographic input data; a holographic rendering module, used for rendering the holographic input data; a holographic projection module, used for projecting the holographic input data; and a feedback collection module, used for collecting feedback data of the user when the user views the holographic input data. The processing module is configured to receive the feedback data from the feedback collection module and generate the user feedback result. By means of the holographic projection type smart robot and the control method therefor provided in the present invention, the holographic image projection can be quickly performed, and a viewing feedback of a user is collected for further analysis.
