Abstract
The invention relates to a method for machining workpieces using a sanding machine (10), comprising a clamping device (32) for clamping a workpiece to be machined and at least one workpiece spindle (16) in which a machining tool can be clamped. Said method comprises the following steps: a blank (30) which is to be machined is clamped in the clamping device (32), at least one roughing operation is carried out by a milling cutter applied to the workpiece spindle (16) in which the blank material is removed up to a machining allowance. In the same blank set-up, high precision machining is carried out by an abrasive disk applied to the workpiece spindle (16). The invention also relates to a sanding machine for carrying out the method.
