- These may be patterns of different gestures linked to the command A, or may be patterns of the same gesture linked to the command A but having different features.
- the pattern may be information obtained by normalizing the position or acceleration of the user action sensed by the sensing unit 103, but is not limited to this as long as it is information for recognizing the user's gesture.
- FIG. 5B shows a threshold value of similarity with the sensing data when the matching unit 104 matches the sensed pattern information with the sensed data.
- gesture recognition pattern information of A001 if the similarity with this pattern exceeds 60, it is considered that the matching has been performed, and the command A is executed.
- gesture recognition suitable for the user is performed by flexibly setting similarity thresholds for a plurality of patterns.
- step 601 sensor data is acquired by the sensing unit 103.
- step 602 the matching unit 104 performs matching between the acquired sensor data and the gesture recognition pattern information shown in FIG. 5A, for example, and calculates the similarity of the sensor data to the gesture recognition pattern information.
- step 603 a comparison is made with the similarity threshold set for the gesture recognition pattern information. If the similarity calculated in step 602 is greater than or equal to the set threshold, it is determined that matching has been performed, and the process proceeds to step 604.
- step 604 the command processing unit 106 executes an operation (command) corresponding to the gesture associated with the recognized gesture in accordance with an instruction from the control unit 101.
- step 605 the unique ID indicating the sensed sensor data and / or the matching gesture recognition pattern information which is the matching processing result or / and the similarity and / or the command execution history and / or the processing execution time of the matching processing result. As a history.
- step 606 it is determined whether correct / incorrect information is input via the user input unit 102 with respect to the command processing execution content of the gesture recognition device. If there is an input, the process proceeds to step 607. If there is no input, the process proceeds to Step 1000 or Step 1100 corresponding to the state C. In this case, either step 1000 or step 1100 may be performed, and these may be set in advance by the gesture recognition device, or may be set by the user.
- step 607 it is determined whether the input content by the user is an input of whether the operation of the gesture recognition device is correct, incorrect, or correct. That is, it corresponds to the determination of ⁇ ⁇ in FIGS.
- the determination is performed for the states A, B, and D.
- the process proceeds to step 900 corresponding to the state A.
- the process proceeds to step 608 corresponding to state B or state D.
- step 608 it is determined whether or not a command is executed. When the command is executed, the process proceeds to Step 1000 or Step 1100 corresponding to the state B. When the command is not executed, the process proceeds to step 700 or step 800 corresponding to the state D.
- step 700 or step 800 may be performed, and these may be set in advance by the gesture recognition device, or may be set by the user.
- step 609 in addition to the history in step 605, the gesture recognition pattern information before calibration and / or the presence / absence of correct / incorrect input and correct / incorrect information are stored as history information.
- Step 700 and step 800 which are the update flow of the gesture recognition pattern information in state D, will be described with reference to FIGS.
- FIG. 7 shows the processing contents of step 700, which is a processing flow for newly registering the gesture recognition pattern information created based on the sensor data of the gesture performed by the user.
- step 701 it is determined whether or not the setting is such that the user performs correct / incorrect input to the state D. If correct / incorrect input is set, the process proceeds to step 702, and if not set, the process ends. Since this state D is a case where the user intentionally performed the gesture operation but did not achieve the expected operation, the calibration unit 105 creates based on the sensor data related to the gesture performed by the user in step 702. The newly registered gesture recognition pattern information is registered.
- a similarity threshold for the pattern is set.
- the similarity threshold value may be, for example, a default similarity threshold value stored in the gesture recognition device, and is newly registered gesture recognition pattern information. Therefore, the similarity threshold value is less than the default similarity threshold value so that malfunction due to erroneous recognition is less likely to occur. May be set higher. As described above, it is possible to further improve the recognition rate by newly registering the recognition pattern of the user's gesture.
- FIG. 8 shows the processing content of step 800, and is a processing flow for changing the similarity threshold of the gesture recognition pattern information having high similarity to the sensor data of the gesture performed by the user.
- step 801 it is determined whether or not the setting is such that the user performs correct / incorrect input to the state D. If correct / incorrect input is set, the process proceeds to step 802, and if not set, the process ends.
- step 802 matching is performed between the sensor data relating to the gesture performed by the user and the gesture recognition pattern information held by the gesture recognition apparatus.
- the pattern having the highest similarity than the result of the matching process is acquired.
- the calibration unit 105 sets the similarity threshold of the corresponding pattern to be lower than the set threshold.
- the recognition rate can be further improved by setting the similarity threshold value of the gesture recognition pattern information held in advance by the gesture recognition device to be low.
- Step 1000 and Step 1100 which are the update flow of the gesture recognition pattern information in the state B and the state C will be described with reference to FIGS. 9 and 10.
- FIG. 9 shows the processing contents of step 1000.
- step 1001 it is determined whether or not the setting is such that the user performs correct / incorrect input to the state B. If correct / incorrect input is set, the process proceeds to step 1002, and if not set, the process ends. Since the state B is a case where the user does not intentionally perform the gesture operation, but the gesture recognition apparatus erroneously recognizes and executes an incorrect command, in step 1002, the calibration unit 105 displays the matched gesture recognition pattern information.
- the similarity threshold is set high. By setting the similarity threshold value high, it is possible to prevent erroneous recognition by making it difficult to match the user's gesture.
- step 1001 the state C is a state that can be determined equivalently by performing correct / incorrect input to the state A. Therefore, it is determined whether or not the user makes a correct / incorrect input to the state A. judge. If correct / incorrect input is set, the process proceeds to step 1002, and if not set, the process ends. Since the state C is a case where the user does not intentionally perform the gesture operation, but the gesture recognition device performs an operation (command) corresponding to the erroneous gesture that has been erroneously recognized, in step 1002, the calibration unit 105 The similarity threshold value of the matched gesture recognition pattern information is set high. By setting the similarity threshold value high, it is possible to prevent erroneous recognition by making it difficult to match the user's gesture.
- FIG. 10 shows the processing contents of step 1100 and describes another update flow of the gesture recognition pattern information in the state B and the state C.
- step 1101 it is determined whether or not the setting is such that the user performs correct / incorrect input to state B. If correct / incorrect input is set, the process proceeds to step 1102; otherwise, the process ends.
- the state B is a case in which the user does not intentionally perform the gesture operation, but the gesture recognition apparatus performs the operation corresponding to the erroneous gesture that is erroneously recognized. Therefore, in step 1102, the calibration unit 105 displays the history information. As a result, the number of times of matching with the corresponding gesture recognition pattern information but erroneous operation is acquired. In step 1103, it is determined whether or not the acquired number of times is equal to or greater than a specified number.
- step 1104 If it is equal to or greater than the specified number of times, the process proceeds to step 1104, and if it is less than the specified number of times, the process ends.
- the specified number of times may be set in advance by the gesture recognition device or may be arbitrarily set by the user.
- this pattern is deleted from the reference pattern. It is possible to prevent misrecognition by deleting patterns with many misrecognitions.
- Step 1101 the state C is a state that can be equivalently determined by performing correct / incorrect input to the state A. Therefore, it is determined whether or not the user sets correct / incorrect input to the state A. judge. If correct / incorrect input is set, the process proceeds to step 1102; otherwise, the process ends. Since the state C is a case where the user does not intentionally perform the gesture operation, but the gesture recognition apparatus performs the operation corresponding to the erroneous gesture by erroneous recognition, in Step 1102, the gesture recognition is performed based on the history information. Acquires the number of times that the pattern information was matched but the operation was incorrect. In step 1103, it is determined whether or not the acquired number of times is equal to or greater than a specified number.
- the specified number of times may be set in advance by the gesture recognition device or may be arbitrarily set by the user. If it is equal to or greater than the specified number of times, the process proceeds to step 1104, and if it is less than the specified number of times, the process ends. In step 1104, this pattern is deleted from the reference pattern. It is possible to prevent misrecognition by deleting patterns with many misrecognitions.
- FIG. 11 shows the processing contents of step 900, and the update flow of the gesture recognition pattern information in state A will be described.
- step 901 it is determined whether or not the setting is such that the user performs correct / incorrect input to the state A. If correct / incorrect input is set, the process proceeds to step 902, and if not set, the process ends.
- This state A is a case where the user intentionally performs a gesture operation and the gesture recognition device performs an operation corresponding to the user's expected gesture.
- the similarity with the matched gesture recognition pattern information is acquired.
- the calibration unit 105 changes the similarity threshold of the matched gesture recognition pattern information.
- the similarity threshold for example, the similarity when matching is set.
- Matching with the user's gesture means that the similarity threshold is exceeded, and the user's gesture is highly similar to the gesture recognition pattern information, and the user is likely to be able to reproduce this pattern. Therefore, misrecognition can be prevented by using the similarity threshold when the similarity threshold is matched.
- the similarity threshold to be changed is not the similarity threshold when matched, but the average of the similarity threshold when matched with a preset similarity threshold or a value obtained by multiplying these by an arbitrary coefficient May be.
- the present embodiment it is possible to obtain gesture recognition pattern information suitable for the user by correcting the predetermined gesture recognition pattern information according to the user, and the gesture recognition rate is improved. It is possible to provide a user-friendly device for the user.
- This embodiment describes a case where the user always recognizes the operation of the gesture recognition device in the gesture recognition device.
- a case will be described in which a display is turned on by a wristwatch-type gesture recognition device, and a user can be notified of the fact that the display is turned on simultaneously with turning on the display by vibrating the wristwatch.
- step 1306 it is determined whether or not the user's correct / incorrect information is input with respect to the command processing execution content of the gesture recognition device. If there is an input, the process proceeds to step 1307. When there is no input, it ends. In step 1307, it is determined whether or not a command is executed (operation corresponding to a gesture). When the command is executed, the process proceeds to step 1000 or step 1100. If the command is not executed, the process proceeds to step 700 or step 800. Either step 700 or step 800 may be performed, and these may be set in advance by the gesture recognition device, or may be set by the user.
- the gesture recognition apparatus can perform the operation corresponding to the gesture and can notify the user that the operation has been performed, it is possible to reduce the pattern that requires the user's correct input.
- This example describes a method for correcting correct / incorrect information input by a user. That is, since the user cannot always input correct / incorrect information for the operation (command operation) corresponding to the gesture of the gesture recognition device, the calibrated gesture recognition pattern information can be corrected.
- step 1401 the history information stored in step 605 or / and 609 in FIG. 6 is acquired, and the user inputs correct information and / or correct information for state E from state A to state E. Sum the number of times.
- step 1402 the collected information is displayed.
- FIG. 15 and FIG. 16 for example, a summary of the device operation corresponding to the user's operation contents for one day and the user's recognition state for the device operation is shown.
- FIG. 15 shows the number of times the user in the state A to the state D inputs the correct / incorrect information and / or the information corresponding to the correct / incorrect information
- FIG. 16 shows the ratio.
- step 1403 the presence or absence of reliability by the user is confirmed. If there is an input, the process proceeds to step 1404, and if there is no input, the process ends.
- the reliability input by the user is acquired.
- the reliability may be a value indicating the reliability with respect to the number of times from the state A to the state D, or may be the number of times or the ratio after the correction from the state A to the state D.
- the reliability is represented by the following formula (1), 100-
- the reliability calculation method is not limited to this.
- step 1405 based on the history information acquired in 1401 and the reliability, the positive / negative direction of the similarity threshold value changed and set at the time of calibration is corrected and set to the original direction.
- step 1701 the history information stored in step 605 and / or 609 in FIG. 6 is acquired, and the process execution time is acquired from state A to state E.
- step 1702 the processing execution time is displayed.
- FIG. 18 shows, for example, the processing execution time of one day.
- the processing execution times are indicated by vertical lines in time series.
- the user refers to the displayed time-series processing execution time, confirms whether there is an error in the time and time zone when the correct / incorrect input is performed, and corrects it.
- step 1703 whether or not there is a correction input is confirmed.
- step 1703 If there is an input, the process proceeds to step 1703, and if there is no input, the process ends.
- the information input by the user may be a processing time to be deleted or a time zone to be deleted.
- step 1704 it is determined whether calibration has been performed at the time or time zone input by the user. When the change setting is performed at the corresponding time or time zone, the process proceeds to step 1705. If no change setting has been made, the process ends.
- step 1705 the correction by the calibration process performed in the corresponding time zone is canceled and the history information is used to return to the original gesture recognition device pattern information.
- the start of the calibration period may be the timing when the gesture recognition device is used for the first time, the timing when the user sets the calibration period start provided by the gesture recognition device, or the start time set by the user.
- the end of the calibration period is, for example, the timing when the number and ratio of the state A to the state D shown in FIG. 15 and FIG. It may be a timing, or may be a timing provided by the gesture recognition device when the end of the calibration period is set, or an end time set by the user.
- an input device attached to the gesture recognition device, a touch panel display device, or the like may be used as a method for inputting correct / incorrect information by the user.
- the gesture recognition device recognizes the user's gesture operation, performs an operation corresponding to the gesture, and accepts an input by putting the input device into a reception state or displaying an input button on a touch panel display unit.
- a sensor such as an acceleration sensor is provided, for example, the gesture recognition device is stroked to input “correct”, or the gesture recognition device is input to input “error”. You may input by gesture operation, such as hitting a ton.
- the present embodiment calibrates the gesture recognition pattern information when the user inputs whether the classified state is recognized or wrong, but retains the user input.
- the gesture recognition pattern information is calibrated based on the information accumulated for a certain period.
- FIG. 19 shows a flow of accumulating calibration information of the gesture recognition apparatus in this embodiment.
- step 1901 sensor data is acquired by the sensing unit 103.
- step 1902 the sensor data acquired by the matching unit 104 is matched with the gesture recognition pattern information, and the similarity of the sensor data to the gesture recognition pattern information is calculated.
- step 1903 the calibration unit compares the threshold value with the similarity threshold set for the gesture recognition pattern information. If the similarity calculated in step 1902 is equal to or greater than a set threshold value, it is determined that matching has been performed. Proceed to step 1904. If the similarity calculated in step 1902 is less than the set threshold value, it is determined that matching has not been performed, and the process proceeds to step 1905.
- step 1905 the presence / absence of correct / incorrect input from the user and the correct / incorrect information are confirmed, and in step 1906, the unique ID or / and matching process indicating the sensed sensor data and / or the matched gesture recognition pattern information which is the matching process result.
- the similarity and / or command execution history and / or the execution time of these processes and / or the presence / absence of correct / incorrect input, and correct / incorrect information are stored as history information. Thereby, information used for calibration of the gesture recognition pattern information is accumulated.
- step 2001 all sensor data in the state D is acquired from the information accumulated in the flow of FIG.
- step 2002 the similarity between the acquired sensor data is calculated.
- step 2003 the pattern is classified into a pattern having a similarity equal to or greater than a certain value or a pattern having a similarity less than a certain value.
- step 2005 the similarity of the pattern is determined. If the degree of similarity is greater than or equal to a certain level, the process proceeds to step 2006, and if it is less than a certain level, the process proceeds to step 2007.
- step 2006 the recognition threshold of the registered new pattern is set lower than the reference, thereby improving the gesture recognition rate.
- step 2007, the similarity threshold value of the registered new pattern is set higher than the reference, thereby improving the gesture recognition rate and making it difficult to cause erroneous recognition.
- step 2101 gesture recognition pattern information that matches the sensor data in state B or state C is acquired from the information accumulated in step 1900.
- the similarity threshold is adjusted in consideration of the average and variance based on the sensor data matched with the same gesture recognition pattern information and the number of times, and the similarity threshold is set in step 2103. For example, when the number of times of entering the state B or the state C is large, the similarity threshold value of the matched gesture recognition pattern information is set high so that erroneous recognition is difficult.
- the operation of the gesture recognition device and the user's recognition state, correct / incorrect information indicating whether the operation is as expected by the user is input, and the information accumulated for a predetermined period is used to recognize the gesture. It is possible to calibrate the pattern information and prevent erroneous recognition or improve the recognition rate.
- the user inputs whether the classified state is recognized or wrong, and the gesture recognition pattern information is based on the information accumulated each time or for a certain period.
- the gesture recognition pattern information is calibrated by using, for example, the gesture recognition pattern information and the calibration period information classified based on features such as the gender, age, height, and weight of the user. The point which aims at acceleration is demonstrated.
