It will further be appreciated that certain actions and/or steps may be described or depicted in a particular order of occurrence while those skilled in the art will understand that such specificity with respect to sequence is not actually required. It will also be understood that the terms and expressions used herein have the ordinary technical meaning as is accorded to such terms and expressions by persons skilled in the technical field as set forth above, except where different specific meanings have otherwise been set forth herein.
To make the objectives, technical solutions, and advantages of the embodiments of the disclosure more clear, the following will clearly and completely describe the embodiments of the disclosure with reference to the drawings.
It should be noted that, the expression of “first” and “second” in the embodiments of present disclosure are used to distinguish two different entities or non-identical parameters with the same name. Hence, the expressions of “first” and “second” are only for the convenience of description and should not be construed as the limit to the embodiments of the present disclosure. This is not repeated hereafter in the following embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows a step flowchart of an online video live cast method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
The method in the present embodiment may include the following steps.
Step 100: a multi-channel live cast request is acquired.
Step 200: a plurality of transceiver modules are created according to the multi-channel live cast request and a communication channel is established between each of the plurality of
transceiver modules and a live cast stream distribution server. Here, a session connection is established between each transceiver module in the online video live cast server and a corresponding live cast stream distribution module in the live cast stream distribution server, respectively.
Step 300: multiple channels of live cast stream are switched in via the communication channels between the transceiver modules and the live cast stream distribution server.
Step 400: the multiple channels of live cast stream are pushed to a terminal. The terminal establishes in its terminal display module a plurality of display sub-windows corresponding to the number of the live cast streams and plays a corresponding live cast stream in each display sub-window.
Here, the act of pushing the multiple channels of live cast stream to a terminal in step 400 can be done by determining through each transceiver module whether a live cast stream rate is consistent with a rate requested by the terminal, and if it is determined inconsistent, the obtained live cast stream is pushed to the terminal at one of the two rates corresponding to a lower definition. Thus, not only the user demand of multi-channel live cast is ensured but also the workload of the online video live cast server is relieved by filtering the live cast stream requested by the terminal.
In addition, each transceiver module can be configured to determine whether the number of terminals which request for live cast stream playing is greater than a preset threshold. If the number exceeds the preset threshold, the corresponding live cast stream is not pushed to those terminals the number of which exceeds the preset threshold. Otherwise, namely, if the number does not exceed the preset threshold, the online video live cast server pushes the multiple channels of live cast stream requested by the terminal to the terminal and the terminal plays the multiple channels of live cast stream. In this way, when there are too many users accessing the terminal, the terminal requests are filtered, thereby reducing the workload of the online video live cast server.
In the method of the present embodiment, a multi-channel playing of online video live cast can be realized, and user experience can be improved by creating a plurality of transceiver modules in an online video live cast server according to an acquired multi-channel live cast request and establishing a session connection between each of the plurality of transceiver modules and a live cast stream distribution module in the online video live cast server.

The apparatus may also include an Nth transceiver module 22 configured to establish a communication connection with the live cast stream distribution server according to the acquired multi-channel live cast request and send a received Nth live cast stream to the terminal, wherein N is greater than or equal to 2.
Likewise, the Nth transceiver module 22 may establish a session connection with a corresponding live cast stream distribution module in the online video live cast server so as to receive a corresponding live cast stream from the online video live cast server and send the live cast stream to a corresponding live cast stream display sub-window in a terminal display module in the terminal for playing.
In this embodiment, the first transceiver module 21 may further include a first filtering sub-module 211 configured to determine whether a rate requested by the terminal is consistent with a first live cast stream rate, and to push the live cast stream to the terminal at one of the two rates corresponding to a lower definition if it is determined inconsistent. The Nth transceiver module 22 may further include an Nth filtering sub-module 221 configured to determine whether a rate requested by the terminal is consistent with an Nth live cast stream rate, and to push the live cast stream to the terminal at one of the two rates corresponding to a lower definition if it is determined inconsistent, wherein N is greater than or equal to 2.
It can be seen that not only the user demand of multi-channel live cast is ensured but also the workload of the online video live cast server is relieved by the first filtering sub-module 211 and the Nth filtering sub-module 221 filtering the live cast stream requested by the terminal.
In addition, in this embodiment, the first filtering sub-module may be further configured to determine whether the number of terminals which request for live cast stream playing is greater than a preset threshold, such as 20 thousand users. If it is determined that the number exceeds the preset threshold, i.e., there are more than 20 thousand users make the request, the
first live cast stream is not pushed to those terminals the number of which exceeds the threshold. Otherwise, the first live cast stream is pushed to the terminals if the number does not exceed the preset threshold.
The Nth filtering sub-module may be further configured to determine whether the number of terminals which request for live cast stream playing is greater than a preset threshold, such as 20 thousand users. If t is determined that the number exceeds the preset threshold, i.e., there are more than 20 thousand users, the first live cast stream is not pushed to those terminals the number of which exceeds the threshold. Otherwise, the Nth live cast stream is pushed to the terminal, wherein N is greater than or equal to 2.
In this way, when there are too many terminal users’ accessing, the terminal requests are filtered, thereby reducing the workload of the online video live cast server.
