Description
The present invention relates to a household appliance comprising a carrying apparatus.
Household appliances such as dishwasher, washing machine or refrigerator are protected against impacts that can be encountered during the shipment by being packaged before being shipped after the production process is over. In order to carry the household appliance in a safe manner, the household appliance is usually fixed on a base material that is produced from Styrofoam material. Thus, the load that is transmitted from the body of the household appliance to the feet is supported by the base material. The load that is transmitted to the base material from the feet as a result of the shaking and impacts that the household appliance is subjected to during the shipment may cause the base material to be broken. In this case, the carrying of the household appliance cannot be realized in a safe manner.
In the state of the art German Patent Document No. DE4410554, a height adjustment mechanism is disclosed, that is used in a built-in household appliance, particularly in a built-in refrigerator.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a household appliance that is enabled to be carried in a safe manner.
The household appliance realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; more than one foot that is disposed at the base of the body in the front side and in the rear side and that carries the body, and more than one housing that is disposed at the base of the body.
The household appliance of the present invention comprises a carrying apparatus that is disposed in the housing and that has a casing, a base plate whereon the foot can be attached in the vertical direction so that the height of the foot can be adjusted and a spring that is disposed between the casing and the base plate. The carrying apparatus is placed in the housing by being slid until the upper surface of the casing contacts the base of the housing. By the carrying apparatus being placed in the housing, the feet are enabled to be placed on the body in the proper position. When the carrying apparatus is in the housing, the base plate enables the spring that is preferably a cylindrical helical spring to be squeezed between the casing and the base plate by moving upwards and downwards in the casing. Thus, the shaking that the household appliance is subjected to during the shipment is dampened by the spring being squeezed, and the impacts transmitted to the feet are decreased.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the carrying apparatus comprises at least one claw that is disposed on the base plate and at least one channel wherein the claw moves and that is arranged on the casing. While the base plate is connected to the casing, the claw is placed into the channel. Thus, the base plate can be positioned correctly while being placed to the casing, and ease of assembly is provided. When the claw is placed into the channel, a gap remains above and below the claw. The base plate can move by sliding upwards-downwards within this gap. The base plate preferably comprises at least two claws that are oppositely positioned. Thus, the base plate is enabled to move in the casing in a balanced manner. In this embodiment, the claw has an inclined surface. While the base plate is being placed into the casing, when the base plate is kept on being slid after the casing contacts the inclined surface of the claw, the pushing force exerted to the base plate by means of the inclined surface of the claw is transferred as a force towards the center of the base plate in the horizontal direction to the claw, and the claw is forced to be bent inwards. When the claw reaches a position opposite to the channel, the claw is seated into the channel by being bent outwards towards the first position again. Thus, the assembly of the casing and the base plate is provided.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the carrying apparatus comprises at least one holder wherein the spring is placed and that is disposed on the casing. The spring is positioned in the casing concentrically with the casing and the base plate by being placed on the holder.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the carrying apparatus comprises an extension that extends to the base plate from the casing. By the spring being placed on the extension, the extension is enabled to support the spring during the movement of the spring, and thus the lifespan of the spring is increased. By means of the extension that has the same shape as the spring, the extension supports the spring by contacting the inner surfaces of the spring, and the shape of the spring is prevented from being damaged.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the household appliance comprises at least one protrusion that is disposed on the casing and at least one recess wherein the protrusion is placed when the carrying apparatus is placed in the housing and that is arranged on the housing. When the protrusion is placed into the recess, the carrying apparatus is fixed in the housing. Thus, the carrying apparatus is enabled to be aligned in the right position in the housing, and the balance of the household appliance is provided.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the carrying apparatus comprises a support that is disposed on the base plate and that at least partially surrounds the spring. The ring-shaped support, the inner diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the spring, enables the spring to be centered on the base plate by surrounding the end of the spring that extends to the base plate. Thus, the base plate is enabled to move upwards downwards in the casing in a balanced manner.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the household appliance comprises a threaded shaft that is disposed on each foot and a screw hole wherein the threaded shaft is placed and that is arranged on the base plate. The height adjustments of the feet are done by the movement of the threaded shaft on the base plate. The balance of the household appliance is provided by doing the height adjustment of the feet.
By means of the present invention, the shaking and the impacts that the household appliance is subjected to during the shipment are dampened by the spring that is disposed in the carrying apparatus, thus a household appliance is realized, the shipment of which is performed in a safe manner by preventing the packaging material whereon the household appliance is placed from being damaged.
