Description

ANTI-INTRUSION SECURITY DEVICE
The present invention relates to an anti-intrusion security device. Break- ins of several types are increasingly common in order to carry out burglaries in apartments, offices and unsupervised environments in general.
Even the adoption of expensive armored doors does not guarantee effective protection from burglary, since break-ins can be carried out on windows, skylights and other ways of access.
In particular it is simple to force windows, since by making a hole along the jamb (for example with a battery-powered drill or other tool) it is possible to gain access to the inner side of the window and turn the handle to open it.
All conventional technical solutions for increasing the security of frame fittings such as windows, doors, skylights and the like involve expensive operations that involve the addition of locks controlled by respective keys.
Such operations can even require the substitution of the leaf or of the entire door or window, and therefore they can also be complex, requiring the intervention of a specialist technician.
Even if mounting a lock is sufficient, it should be noted that the intervention of a specialist technician is essential, in that it is necessary to substitute the handle (with one provided with the key-operated lock) or to install the lock on the jamb (where originally there was none).
The aim of the present invention is to solve the above mentioned drawbacks, by providing an anti-intrusion security device that reduces the risk of forced entry following tampering with the door or window.
Within this aim, an object of the invention is to provide an anti- intrusion security device that can be installed on any leaf of any door or window.
Another object of the invention is to provide an anti-intrusion security device that is easy to install, easy to mount and easy to use.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an anti-intrusion security device that is low cost, easily and practically implemented, and safe in use.
This aim and these objects are achieved by an anti-intrusion security device for frame fittings, of the type of doors, windows, skylights and moveable leaves in general, characterized in that it comprises a box-like body provided with means for coupling to a fixed frame of a said door or window, said box- like body accommodating a processor, provided with a memory unit and connected to a transceiver antenna and to an electric servomotor, the moveable element of said electric servomotor being integral with a bolt which can move, by the action of said servomotor, between a first, retracted configuration, of non-interference with a leaf of said door or window, and a second, extracted configuration, of interference with said door leaf and its locking in the closed configuration.
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the detailed description that follows of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of the anti-intrusion security device according to the invention, which is illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a schematic view of an anti-intrusion security device according to the invention;
Figure 2 is a schematic front elevation view of a security kit according to the invention installed on a door;
Figure 3 is a schematic front elevation view of a security kit according to the invention installed on a window.
With reference to the figures, the reference numeral 1 generally designates an anti- intrusion security device.
The anti-intrusion device 1 is adapted to be installed in any type of frame fitting, i.e. of the type of doors A, windows B, skylights and moveable leaves in general.
The device 1 comprises a box-like body 3 provided with means 4 for coupling to a fixed frame C, D of a door or window A, B.
The box-like body 3 accommodates a processor 5, provided with a memory unit; the processor 5 is in turn connected to a transceiver antenna 6 and to an electric servomotor 7.
A moveable element 8 of the electric servomotor 7 is integral with a bolt 9 which is moveable, by the action of the servomotor 7, between a first, retracted configuration of non-interference with the leaf E, F of the door or window A, B, and a second, extracted configuration of interference with the leaf E, F and its locking in the closed configuration.
Substantially the bolt 9 is adapted to lock the leaf E, F in the closed configuration following the electrical actuation of the servomotor 7, which will be guaranteed by the processor 5 upon reception, by the antenna 6, of a corresponding encoded signal corresponding to the opening code stored in the memory unit of the processor 5.
It should be noted that the device 1 according to the invention can profitably comprise at least one electric battery 10 for supplying power to the processor 5, to the antenna 6 and to the electric servomotor 7.
The presence of a battery 10 is particularly advantageous, in that it makes it possible to install the device 1 at any point of a door or window A, B, without the necessity for terminals for connecting to the mains electricity supply.
For this reason, the installation of the device 1 will not require the intervention of a qualified electrician to work on the mains electricity supply and on the electrical system, thus minimizing the costs and the time necessary for the installation proper.
Furthermore, it will also be possible to install the device 1 in environments in which there is no access to the mains electricity supply, thus showing the great versatility of the device 1 according to the invention. It should be noted that the means 4 for coupling to the fixed frame C, D of the door or window A, B are substantially constituted by holes for accommodating elements of the type of screws, nails, rivets and the like, which are engaged rigidly in respective seats of the frame C, D.
This means that, in order to install the device 1, it will be possible to provide the seats in the frame C, D at the desired installation point for the device 1 and couple the latter to such holes of the frame C, D by inserting screws, or nails or rivets, into the holes of the box-like body 3 and subsequently engaging them in the seats of the frame C, D (which constitute the coupling means 4).
If self-tapping screws (and/or self-drilling screws) are used, it will be possible to arrange the screws in the holes of the box-like body 3 (which constitute the coupling means 4) and proceed to screw (with consequent drilling) on the frame C, D.
It should be noted that, according to a particular embodiment of undoubted practical and applicative interest, the electric servomotor 7 is of the type preferably chosen from among an assembly constituted by a motor and an endless screw, a linear induction motor, an assembly constituted by a motor and a rack, and the like.
Given the small size of the device 1 and the need to contain costs as much as possible, the electric servomotor 7 will be the most compact and least expensive among those available commercially, or a dedicated servomotor 7 can be provided, if production on a large scale is envisaged.
The antenna 6 is adapted to send and receive signals of the type preferably chosen from among Bluetooth®, wireless LAN, radiofrequency, infrared and the like.
With reference to the above mentioned characteristics of the antenna 6, it should be noted that the device 1 will also comprise an activation apparatus 1 1 adapted to emit an encoded signal comprised in the transmission and reception range of the transceiver antenna 6. In particular, the activation apparatus 1 1 will preferably be chosen from among a remote control, a cellular telephone, a smartphone, a tablet computer, a personal computer, a smartwatch and the like.
In any case a specific software will be provided which is adapted to generate a programmable encoded signal, for the purpose of mating the activation apparatus 1 1 with the device 1 (or, optionally, with a plurality of devices 1 ).
Within such embodiment, the activation apparatus 1 1 will also be adapted to receive a response signal from the antenna 6 which will comprise a string of data defining the configuration assumed at that moment by the moveable bolt 9, in order to indicate such configuration to the user.
The user therefore, on the screen of his/her smartphone 1 1 (for example) will be able to verify whether the bolts 9 of the anti-intrusion devices 1 installed on a specific door or window A, B are in the first, retracted configuration (allowing the leaf C, D to open freely) or in the second, extracted configuration (locking the leaf C, D), and will thus be aware of the measures that have actually been undertaken in order to prevent forced entry. In this manner the user can, if he/she finds that the devices 1 are in the first configuration with the bolt 9 retracted, send the encoded closing signal to the devices 1 in order to bring them to the second configuration, in which the bolt 9 is extracted.
It should be noted that the present invention also relates to an anti- intrusion security kit 2 for frame fittings of the type of doors A, windows B, skylights and moveable leaves in general.
The kit 2 comprises at least one anti-intrusion device 1 which is provided:
• with a box-like body 3 coupled to a fixed frame C, D of a door or window A, B,
• with a processor 5,
· with a memory unit (not specifically shown in the accompanying figures since it is generally embedded in the processor 5),
with a transceiver antenna and
• with an electric servomotor 7.
The moveable element 8 of the electric servomotor 7 will be integral with a bolt 9 which is moveable, by the action of the servomotor 7, between a first, retracted configuration of non-interference with a leaf C, D of the door or window A, B, and a second, extracted configuration of interference with the leaf C, D and its locking in the closed configuration.
The kit 2 will further comprise at least one activation apparatus 1 1 adapted to emit an encoded signal comprised in the transmission and reception range of the transceiver antenna 6.
It should be noted that, according to an embodiment adapted to ensure a considerable increase in security against tampering with frame fittings A, B for the purposes of breaking in, the anti-intrusion devices 1 installed on a same door or window A, B can be at least two in number.
These will be distributed along the frame C, D of the door or window A, B: the corresponding bolts 9 will be adapted to simultaneously assume the second, closed configuration, for the multi-point locking of the corresponding leaf E, F.
The possibility is not excluded of providing devices 1 in which the antenna 6 communicates constantly (or at preset intervals) with a wireless computer network (wireless LAN), if present in the installation environment.
In this manner the status of the bolts 9 of each device 1 can be monitored, even remotely (with an apparatus that interfaces with the wireless computer network in the environment, or by sending the data corresponding to the status of the bolts 9 over the internet by way of a computer connected to such wireless computer network).
Within such embodiment it will also be possible to log all the changes of state imposed on the bolts 9 of the devices 1 and, optionally, the credentials of the activation apparatus 1 1 that commanded each extraction and each retraction of the bolts 9.
Advantageously the present invention solves the above mentioned problems, by providing an anti-intrusion security device 1 that reduces the risk of forced entry following tampering with the door or window A, B.
In fact the secure closing of the leaf E, F of the door or window A, B is not solely dependent on the handle present therein (or on the lock that may be present therein), and additional bolts 9 are provided which, although they do not interact with the leaf E, F directly (but only lock it), are difficult to circumvent with break-in actions.
Conveniently the anti-intrusion security device 1 can be installed on any leaf E, F of any door or window A, B: in particular the device 1 can be installed on the frame C, D in order to interact with the leaf E, F thus guaranteeing the locking thereof, when necessary.
Conveniently, the anti- intrusion security device 1 is easy to install, easy to mount and easy to use.
Positively the anti-intrusion security device 1 is easily and practically implemented, low cost, and safely applied.
The invention, thus conceived, is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims. Moreover, all the details may be substituted by other, technically equivalent elements.
In the embodiments illustrated, individual characteristics shown in relation to specific examples may in reality be interchanged with other, different characteristics, existing in other embodiments.
In practice, the materials employed, as well as the dimensions, may be any according to requirements and to the state of the art.
Where the technical features mentioned in any claim are followed by reference numerals and/or signs, those reference numerals and/or signs have been included for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and accordingly, such reference numerals and/or signs do not have any limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by such reference numerals and/or signs.
