Description

도 1에서와 같이, 일반적인 레빈튜브(T)의 일단에는 연결부가 구비되고, 상기 레빈튜브(T)의 연결부(T')에는 주사기가 연결되어 약물이나 조영제, 또는 음식물을 레빈튜브(T) 내부로 주입할 수 있다. 상기 연결부(T')에는 캡(C)이 구비되는데, 상기 캡(C)은 상기 레빈튜브(T)의 연결부(T')를 선택적으로 차폐하여, 레빈튜브(T)를 사용하지 않을 때 이물질이 유입되는 것을 방지하는 역할을 한다.
그러나 종래의 레빈튜브(T)의 연결부(T')와 주사기의 입구의 크기가 서로 달라 레빈튜브(T)와 주사기를 서로 정확하게 연결하는 것이 어려웠으며, 자칫 레빈튜브(T) 내측으로 공기가 유입되거나 주사기 내부의 물질이 외부로 흘러나갈 우려가 있었다.
본 발명은 상기한 바와 같은 종래기술의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로, 본 발명의 목적은 하나의 카테터 연결용 멀티캡을 이용하여 카테터의 차폐 및 주사기의 연결을 모두 가능하게 하는 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 다양한 크기의 카테터에 카테터 연결용 멀티캡이 적용될 수 있도록 하는 것이다.
상기한 바와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 특징에 따르면, 본 발명은 내부에는 길이방향을 따라 관통홀이 형성되고 일단이 카테터와 연결되는 몸체부와, 상기 몸체부의 외면에 상기 몸체부의 길이방향을 따라 구비되고 상기 몸체부의 외면으로부터 이격되어 상기 몸체부의 외면과의 사이에 카테터의 일부가 삽입되도록 하는 커버부와, 상기 몸체부의 타단에 돌출되어 외부로부터 주입물질을 상기 관통홀로 전달하는 주입부와, 상기 몸체부의 일측에 구비되어 상기 주입부의 입구를 선택적으로 차폐하는 캡부를 포함한다.
상기 몸체부의 외면과 상기 커버부 사이에 이격된 공간은 상기 주입부를 향할수록 좁아지게 형성된다.
상기 몸체부는 카테터와 연결되는 하부로 갈수록 폭이 좁아지도록 형성된다.
상기 몸체부의 하단은 상기 커버부의 하단보다 하부로 더 돌출되어 구비된다.
상기 카테터의 내부로 삽입되는 몸체부의 외면에는 요입홈이 상기 몸체부의 길이방향을 따라 다수개 형성된다.
상기 커버부의 외주면에는 돌출리브가 상기 커버부의 길이방향을 따라 적어도 하나 이상 구비된다.
상기 캡부는 상기 몸체부와 연결되는 캡리드와, 상기 캡리드의 일단에 구비되고 상기 주입부의 입구에 삽입되는 차폐돌부를 포함한다.
상기 차폐돌부의 외주면과 상기 주입부의 내주면에는 서로 대응되는 결합리브와 결합홈이 구비된다.
상기 몸체부, 커버부, 주입부 및 캡부는 일체로 형성되고, 고무재질 또는 실리콘재질로 만들어진다.
상기 몸체부에는 상기 몸체부를 상기 카테터에 연결시키는 연결수단이 구비된다.
상기 연결수단은 플렉시블한 재질의 가이드와, 상기 가이드의 일단에 구비되고 상기 카테터 또는 카테터의 연결부를 감싸는 연결고리를 포함한다.
위에서 살핀 바와 같은 본 발명에 의한 카테터 연결용 멀티캡에는 다음과 같은 효과가 있다.
본 발명에서 카테터 연결용 멀티캡은 카테터의 입구를 막는 역할과 동시에, 주사기와 같은 주입수단과 카테터 사이가 보다 용이하게 결합될 수 있도록 하므로, 작업편의성이 향상되는 효과가 있다.
또한, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡의 플렉시블한 주입부가 다양한 크기의 주사기(주입수단)에 대응될 수 있으므로 외부 물질을 주입하는 과정에서 물질이 외부로 흐르는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
그리고 본 발명에서 카테터 연결용 멀티캡을 구성하는 몸체부와 커버부 사이의 결합공간은 카테터를 향하는 하부로 갈수록 폭이 넓게 형성되므로, 카테터와 카테터 연결용 멀티캡의 결합초기에는 삽입력이 작아지고, 카테터와 카테터 연결용 멀티캡이 완전히 결합되면 둘 사이가 견고하게 결합된 상태를 유지할 수 있어 조립성 및 안정성이 모두 향상될 수 있다.

이하, 본 발명의 일부 실시례들을 예시적인 도면을 통해 상세하게 설명한다. 각 도면의 구성요소들에 참조부호를 부가함에 있어서, 동일한 구성요소들에 대해서는 비록 다른 도면상에 표시되더라도 가능한 한 동일한 부호를 가지도록 하고 있음에 유의해야 한다. 또한, 본 발명의 실시례를 설명함에 있어, 관련된 공지구성 또는 기능에 대한 구체적인 설명이 본 발명의 실시례에 대한 이해를 방해한다고 판단되는 경우에는 그 상세한 설명은 생략한다.
또한, 본 발명의 실시례의 구성 요소를 설명하는 데 있어서, 제 1, 제 2, A, B, (a), (b) 등의 용어를 사용할 수 있다. 이러한 용어는 그 구성 요소를 다른 구성 요소와 구별하기 위한 것일 뿐, 그 용어에 의해 해당 구성 요소의 본질이나 차례 또는 순서 등이 한정되지 않는다. 어떤 구성 요소가 다른 구성요소에 "연결", "결합" 또는 "접속"된다고 기재된 경우, 그 구성 요소는 그 다른 구성요소에 직접적으로 연결되거나 접속될 수 있지만, 각 구성 요소 사이에 또 다른 구성 요소가 "연결", "결합" 또는 "접속"될 수도 있다고 이해되어야 할 것이다.
먼저 설명의 편의를 위해 카테터(T)에 대해 설명하면, 상기 카테터(T)는 의료용으로 사용되는 일종의 관(tube)으로서, 플렉시블한 재질로 만들어지고, 그 일단에는 연결부(10)가 결합된다. 상기 연결부(10)는 일측으로 갈수록 폭이 넓어지게 형성되는 것으로, 주사기(70)와 결합되는 부분에 해당한다. 본 실시례에서는 카테터(T) 중에서 레빈튜브(Levin Tube)를 예로 들어 설명하기로 한다.
본 발명에서는 상기 연결부(10)에 주사기(70)가 직접 연결되지 않고, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)을 매개로 하여 상기 주사기(70)와 카테터(T)가 간접적으로 연결된다. 즉, 도 2에서 보듯이, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)은 카테터(T)의 연결부(10) 일측에 결합된다. 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)은 상기 카테터(T)의 연결부(10)에 결합된 상태에서, 주사기(70)와 같이 외부 물질을 주입할 수 있는 주입수단과 연결되어 카테터(T) 내부로 외부 물질, 예컨대 영양제나 음식물을 주입할 수 있도록 한다.
카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)은 탄성이 있는 재질로 만들어지는데, 예를 들어 고무나 실리콘, 또는 연성 플라스틱과 같은 재질로 만들어질 수 있다. 이는 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)이 카테터(T)에 결합되는 과정에서 어느 정도 늘어나면서 결합되고, 분리된 후에는 원형으로 복원될 수 있도록 하기 위한 것으로, 본 실시례에서 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)은 실리콘으로 만들어지며, 아래에서 설명될 몸체부(31), 커버부(40), 주입부(36) 및 캡부(60,66)는 일체로 형성된다.
도 3에서 보듯이, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)에는 몸체부(31)가 구비된다. 상기 몸체부(31)는 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)의 골격을 형성하는 것으로, 상하방향으로 연장되는 대략 원통형상으로 형성된다. 도 4를 참조하면, 상기 몸체부(31)의 내부에는 관통홀(32)이 형성된다. 상기 관통홀(32)은 상기 몸체부(31)의 길이방향을 따라 형성되는 빈 공간으로, 주입 물질을 통과시키는 부분에 해당한다.
상기 몸체부(31)의 하단은 카테터(T)에 연결된다. 보다 정확하게는 상기 몸체부(31)의 하단은 카테터(T)의 내부로 삽입되고, 아래에서 설명될 커버부(40)는 상기 카테터(T)의 외면을 감싸게 된다.
도 4에서 보듯이, 상기 몸체부(31)는 하부로 갈수록 폭이 좁아지게 형성된다. 이를 통해 상기 몸체부(31)와 커버부(40) 사이의 결합공간(41)은 하부로 갈수록 폭이 커지고 상부로 갈수록 폭이 좁아지게 된다. 이에 따라 카테터(T)와 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)이 결합되는 초기에는 카테터(T)가 결합공간(41)으로 용이하게 삽입될 수 있고, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)이 카테터(T) 쪽으로 결합될수록 점점 결합력이 커지면서 서로 강하게 결합된 상태를 유지할 수 있다.
상기 몸체부(31)의 하단은 커버부(40)의 하단보다 하부로 더 돌출됨이 바람직하다. 이는 상기 몸체부(31)가 돌출됨으로써 결합초기에 몸체부(31)의 하단이 카테터(T) 입구에 용이하게 삽입될 수 있도록 하기 위함이다.
상기 카테터(T)의 내부로 삽입되는 몸체부(31)의 외면에는 요입홈(34)이 형성된다. 상기 요입홈(34)은 상기 몸체부(31)의 외주면을 둘러 형성되는 것으로, 몸체부(31)의 하부가 카테터(T) 내부로 삽입되는 과정에서 몸체부(31)의 외면과 카테터(T) 내면의 접촉면적을 줄여, 삽입력을 낮추기 위한 것이다. 본 실시례에서 상기 요입홈(34)은 상기 몸체부(31)의 길이방향을 따라 두 개(34a, 34b)가 형성되는데, 반드시 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 한 개 또는 세 개 이상이 형성될 수 있다.
상기 몸체부(31)의 상부에는 주입부(36)가 형성된다. 상기 주입부(36)는 상기 몸체부(31)의 상부로 돌출되는 부분으로, 상기 몸체부(31)의 일부로 볼 수도 있다. 상기 주입부(36)는 주사기(70)와 결합되어 주입물질을 상기 관통홀(32)로 전달하는 역할을 한다.
상기 주입부(36)의 내면에는 결합홈(37)이 형성되는데, 상기 결합홈(37)은 후술할 캡부(60,66)의 차폐돌부(65)에 형성되는 결합리브(66)에 대응되는 것으로, 결합홈(37)에 결합리브(66)가 삽입됨으로써 캡부(60,66)와 주입부(36)의 결합력을 높이게 된다.
상기 몸체부(31)의 외면에는 커버부(40)가 구비된다. 상기 커버부(40)는 상기 몸체부(31)로부터 돌출되어 상기 몸체부(31)의 길이방향으로 연장되어 구성되는 것으로, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)이 카테터(T)와 결합되면 카테터(T)의 외면을 감싸 카테터(T)가 몸체부(31)와 커버부(40) 사이에 위치하도록 한다.
상기 커버부(40)는 상기 몸체부(31)의 길이방향을 따라 구비되되, 상기 몸체부(31)의 외면으로부터 이격되어 상기 몸체부(31)의 외면과의 사이에 소정의 결합공간(41)을 형성하고, 상기 결합공간(41)에 상기 카테터(T)의 일부가 삽입된다. 이때, 상기 몸체부(31)가 하부로 갈수록 폭이 좁아지므로, 반대로 상기 결합공간(41)은 하부로 갈수록 폭이 넓어지게 된다.
상기 커버부(40)의 외주면에는 돌출리브(45)가 구비된다. 상기 돌출리브(45)는 상기 커버부(40)의 길이방향을 따라 적어도 하나 이상 구비되는데, 상기 돌출리브(45)는 상기 커버부(40)의 내구도를 높이는 역할을 한다. 상기 커버부(40)는 상기 카테터(T)와 결합되는 과정에서 탄성변형되어 늘어나게 되므로, 상기 돌출리브(45)는 이 과정에서 커버부(40)가 찢어지거나 또는 소성변형되는 것을 방지하기 위한 것이다.
한편, 도 5 및 도 6에는 본 발명에 의한 카테터 연결용 멀티캡의 다른 실시례가 도시되어 있다. 앞선 실시례와 다른 부분에 대해서 설명하면, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)을 구성하는 커버부(40)는 하부로 갈수록 폭이 넓어지도록 구성될 수 있다. 즉, 커버부(40)는 하부로 갈수록 폭이 넓어지고, 반대로 몸체부(31)는 하부로 갈수록 폭이 넓어지므로, 결과적으로 결합공간(41)은 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)의 하부로 갈수록 더욱 넓어지고, 상부로 갈수록 더욱 좁아지게 된다. 이를 통해 카테터(T)와 카부의 초기 삽입력은 작아지되, 점점 결합력이 높아져 완전히 결합된 후에는 카테터(T)와 카부가 서로 견고하게 결합된 상태를 유지할 수 있다.
그리고, 상기 몸체부(31)에는 요입홈(34)을 대신하여 돌출부(134)가 구비될 수도 있다. 상기 돌출부(134)는 상기 몸체부(31)가 상기 카테터(T)에 삽입되면 카테터(T)의 내면을 압박하여 카테터(T)와 몸체부(31) 사이의 결합력을 보다 높이는 역할을 하게 된다.
한편, 도 2에서 보듯이, 상기 몸체부(31)에는 상기 몸체부(31)를 상기 카테터(T)에 연결시키는 연결수단(50,52)이 구비된다. 상기 연결수단(50,52)은 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)이 상기 카테터(T)에 연결된 상태로 사용될 수 있도록 하는 것으로, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)이 카테터(T)와 분리되더라도 카테터(T)와 연결된 상태를 유지함으로써 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)의 보관성이 좋아지고 분실 위험이 줄어들 수 있다.
상기 연결수단(50,52)은 플렉시블한 재질의 가이드(50)와, 상기 가이드(50)의 일단에 구비되고 상기 카테터(T) 또는 카테터(T)의 연결부(10)를 감싸는 연결고리(52)를 포함한다. 상기 연결고리(52) 역시 플랙시블한 재질로 만들어지므로, 연결고리(52)의 내경 보다 외경이 큰 연결부(10)나 카테터(T)에 결합될 수 있다.
그리고, 상기 몸체부(31)에는 캡부(60,66)가 구비된다. 상기 캡부(60,66)는 상기 몸체부(31)의 일측에 구비되어 상기 주입부(36)의 입구를 선택적으로 차폐하는 것으로, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)의 주입부(36)에 주사기(70)가 연결되지 않은 경우에 주입부(36)를 막아 이물질이 유입되는 것을 방지하는 역할을 한다.
상기 캡부(60,66)는 상기 몸체부(31)와 연결되는 플랙시블한 캡리드(60)와, 상기 캡리드(60)의 일단에 구비되고 상기 주입부(36)의 입구에 삽입되는 차폐돌부(65)를 포함한다. 상기 차폐돌부(65)는 실질적으로 상기 주입부(36) 내측으로 삽입되는 부분으로, 도시된 바와 같이 대략 반구형상으로 형성된다.
상기 차폐돌부(65)의 외주면에는 결합리브(66)가 구비되어, 상기 주입부(36)의 내주면에 형성된 상기 결합홈(37)에 삽입될 수 있다.
이하에서는 본 발명에 의한 카테터 연결용 멀티캡과 카테터가 결합되는 과정을 도 7 및 도 8을 참조하여 설명하기로 한다.
먼저 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)의 몸체부(31) 하부가 카테터(T)의 일측에 삽입되는데, 보다 정확하게는 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)의 몸체부(31)는 카테터(T)의 내측으로 삽입되고, 커버부(40)는 카테터(T)의 외측을 감싸게 된다.
이때, 상기 몸체부(31)와 커버부(40) 사이의 결합공간(41) 하부는 상대적으로 넓으므로 상기 카테터(T)의 선단이 용이하게 삽입될 수 있다. 이와 같은 모습이 도 7에 도시되어 있다.
이 상태에서 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)이 점점 카테터(T) 방향으로 이동되면, 반대로 카테터(T)는 결합공간(41) 상부로 이동하게 되고, 이 과정에서 커버부(40)는 외측으로 어느 정도 탄성변형된다. 그리고 도 8과 같이, 상기 카테터(T)는 커버부(40)와 몸체부(31) 사이에 견고하게 결합된 상태를 유지하게 된다. 물론, 상기 카테터(T)의 두께나 외경 등에 따라 상기 카테터(T)와 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)의 결합정도는 달라질 수 있다.
다음으로, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡과 주사기가 결합되는 과정을 도 9 내지 도 11을 참조하여 설명한다.
도 9에는 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)과 카테터(T)가 결합된 상태가 도시되어 있는데, 이에 보듯이, 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)의 캡부(60,66)는 주입부(36)를 차폐한 상태이다. 이에 따라 주사기(70)가 결합되기 전에는 외부의 이물질이 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30) 내부와 카테터(T) 내부로 유입되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
이 상태에서 캡부(60,66)가 주입부(36)로부터 분리되면, 도 10과 같이 주입부(36)가 개방된다. 그리고 주사기(70)의 입구를 상기 주입부(36) 내부로 삽입하면 도 11과 같이 주사기(70)와 주입부(36)가 밀착된 상태로 결합될 수 있다.
상기 주입부(36)는 주사기(70)의 입구에 대응되는 크기로 형성되고, 또한 탄성변형 가능한 재질이므로, 주사기(70)와 카테터(T)의 크기 차이로 인해 외부 물질을 주입하는 과정에서 외부 물질이 외측으로 흐르는 것을 방지할 수 있다. 물론, 주사기(70)와 카테터(T) 사이의 결합도 카테터 연결용 멀티캡(30)으로 인해 용이하게 이루어질 수 있다.
이상에서, 본 발명에 따른 실시례를 구성하는 모든 구성 요소들이 하나로 결합하거나 결합하여 동작하는 것으로 설명되었다고 해서, 본 발명이 반드시 이러한 실시례에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 즉, 본 발명의 목적 범위 안에서라면, 그 모든 구성 요소들이 하나 이상으로 선택적으로 결합하여 동작할 수도 있다. 또한, 이상에서 기재된 "포함하다", "구성하다" 또는 "가지다" 등의 용어는, 특별히 반대되는 기재가 없는 한, 해당 구성 요소가 내재할 수 있음을 의미하는 것이므로, 다른 구성 요소를 제외하는 것이 아니라 다른 구성 요소를 더 포함할 수 있는 것으로 해석되어야 한다. 기술적이거나 과학적인 용어를 포함한 모든 용어들은, 다르게 정의되지 않는 한, 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의해 일반적으로 이해되는 것과 동일한 의미가 있다. 사전에 정의된 용어와 같이 일반적으로 사용되는 용어들은 관련 기술의 문맥상의 의미와 일치하는 것으로 해석되어야 하며, 본 발명에서 명백하게 정의하지 않는 한, 이상적이거나 과도하게 형식적인 의미로 해석되지 않는다.
