Abstract
중계 장치를 이용하여 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인(Bridge Domain)을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장하는 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예 에 따른 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법은, 중계 장치의 중계 스위치를 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록하는 단계, 중계 스위치와 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계, 중계 스위치와 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계, 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계 및 변환된 경로 정보를 제2 SDN 제어부에 전송하는 단계를 포함한다.
Description
본 발명은 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인을 다른 솔루션을 사용하는 오버레이 SDN 망까지 확장시킬 수 있는 방법에 관한 것이다.
새로운 네트워크 아키텍처인 SDN(Software Defined Networking)에서 서버팜 네트워크를 대상으로 하는 오버레이 SDN(Overlay SDN) 모델이 제시되고 있다.
여기에서 오버레이란, 물리적 네트워크 구성에 상관없이 특정 프로토콜로 패킷을 캡슐화하여 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)들끼리 통신하도록 방식을 의미한다.
또한, 오버레이 SDN은 가상 머신들이 터널을 통해 서로 연결될 수 있도록 가상 머신들이 연결된 가상 스위치(Virtual Switch)를 제어하는 네트워킹 방식을 의미한다.
한편, 서로 다른 솔루션을 사용하고 있는 오버레이 SDN 망을 연결하기 위해서는 각 오버레이 SDN 망의 게이트웨이가 레거시 망을 통해 연결되도록 해야 했었다.
즉, A 솔루션을 사용하고 있는 오버레이 SDN 망을 B 솔루션을 사용하고 있는 오버레이 SDN 망과 연결하기 위해서는 반드시 L3 장치인 게이트웨이를 통해야 한다는 문제점이 있었다.
도 1은 종래 방식에 따라 서로 다른 솔루션을 사용하고 있는 오버레이 SDN 망을 연결하기 위한 방법을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
본 실시예에서는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에서 사용되는 솔루션과 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)에서 사용되는 솔루션이 서로 다른 경우를 예로 들어 설명한다.
제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100) 내에 속해 있는 제1 가상 머신(150), 제2 가상 머신(160), 제3 가상 머신(170) 및 제4 가상 머신(180)은 동일한 제1 브릿지 도메인(110)에 속해 있으므로, 제1 브릿지 도메인(110)에 속해 있는 가상 머신들끼리는 스위치(130, 140) 간의 터널링을 통해 연결 될 수 있다.
예를 들어, 제1 가상 머신(150)과 제3 가상 머신(170)은 제1 가상 머신(150)이 연결된 제1 스위치(130)와 제 3 가상 머신(170)이 연결된 제2 스위치(140) 간의 터널링(tunneling)을 통해 패킷을 송수신할 수 있게 된다.
그러나, 서로 다른 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인에 속한 가상 머신들과 데이터를 송수신 하기 위해서는 반드시 게이트웨이를 거쳐야만 했었다.
예를 들어, 제1 브릿지 도메인(110)에 속한 제1 가상 머신(150)이 제2 브릿지 도메인(210)에 속한 제5 가상 머신(250)과 연결되기 위해서는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 제1 게이트웨이(300)와 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)의 제2 게이트웨이(400)가 레거시 망(500)을 통해 연결되어야 했다.
즉, 서로 다른 솔루션이 사용되는 오버레이 SDN 망을 연결하기 위해서는 하나의 오버레이 SDN 망에서 사용되는 브릿지 도메인 정책을 다른 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인에 적용할 수 없으므로, 각종 설정값을 변경해야 하는 번거로움이 있었다.
예를 들어, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에서 사용하던 프로토콜을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(220)에서 사용되는 프로토콜로 변경해야 하는 문제가 이에 해당될 수 있다.
따라서, 서로 다른 솔루션을 사용하는 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 복수의 가상 서버 또는 물리 서버를 하나의 브릿지 도메인으로 묶을 수 있는 방법의 필요성이 대두되었다.
본 발명은 상술한 목적을 달성하기 위해 안출된 것으로, 본 발명의 목적은 서로 다른 솔루션을 사용하는 오버레이 SDN 망 간에 브리지 도메인을 자유롭게 확장 할 수 있는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법을 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명의 기술적 과제들은 이상에서 언급한 기술적 과제들로 제한되지 않으며, 언급되지 않은 또 다른 기술적 과제들은 아래의 기재로부터 본 발명이 속한 기술분야의 통상의 기술자에게 명확하게 이해될 수 있을 것이다.
상술한 목적을 달성하기 위해 본 발명의 일 시예에 따라 중계 장치를 이용하여 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인(Bridge Domain)을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장하는 방법은, 상기 중계 장치의 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록하는 단계, 상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계, 상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계, 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계, 상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계 및 상기 변환된 경로 정보를 상기 제2 SDN 제어부에 전송하는 단계를 포함한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 경로 정보는, 상기 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치와 상기 중계 스위치를 연결하는 터널의 경로 정보일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계는, 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷은 상기 중계 스위치로 전송되도록 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신으로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷 전송 요청을 수신하는 단계, 상기 패킷을 상기 변환된 경로 정보에 따라 상기 중계 스위치에 전달하는 단계, 상기 중계 스위치가 상기 통합 제어부로부터 수신한 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보에 따라 상기 패킷을 상기 목적지로 설정된 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치에 전송하는 단계;를 더 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계는, 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신이 상기 중계 스위치에 직접 연결된 것으로 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신으로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷 전송 요청을 수신하는 단계, 상기 패킷을 상기 변환된 경로 정보에 따라 상기 중계 스위치에 전달하는 단계, 상기 중계 스위치가 상기 통합 제어부로부터 수신한 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보에 따라 상기 패킷을 상기 목적지로 설정된 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치에 전송하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계는, 상기 상기 수신된 경로 정보를 상기 중계 스위치의 에이전트에 전달하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 중계 장치의 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록하는 단계는, 상기 중계 스위치에 포함된 에이전트가 상기 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 제1 SDN 제어부에 등록하는 단계 및 상기 중계 스위치에 포함된 에이전트가 상기 중계 스위치를 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망의 제2 SDN 제어부에 등록하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계는, 상기 경로 정보에 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 대응되는 식별자를 부가하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 또 다른 실시예 에 따라 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인(Bridge Domain)을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장시키는 중계 장치는, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록된 중계 스위치 및 상기 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하여 상기 경로 정보를 기 설정된 방법에 따라 변환한 후, 상기 변환된 경로 정보를 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망의 제2 SDN 제어부로 전송하는 통합 제어부를 포함하되, 상기 중계 스위치는, 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치와 연결된 터널이 생성되어 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 경로 정보는, 상기 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치와 상기 중계 스위치를 연결하는 터널의 경로 정보일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 통합 제어부는, 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷은 상기 중계 스위치로 전송되도록 경로 정보를 변환할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 중계 스위치는, 상기 변환된 경로 정보에 따라 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신으로부터 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷을 수신하고, 상기 경로 정보에 따라 상기 패킷을 상기 목적지로 설정된 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치에 전송할 수 있다.

본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 중계 스위치는, 상기 변환된 경로 정보에 따라 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신으로부터 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷을 수신하고, 상기 경로 정보에 따라 상기 패킷을 상기 목적지로 설정된 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치에 전송할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 중계 스위치는, 기 설정된 프로세스를 수행하는 에이전트를 포함하고, 상기 통합 제어부는 상기 에이전트에 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 제공할 수 있다.

도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 중계 장치를 통해 서로 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속해 있는 스위치를 연결하는 과정을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 2에는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 중계 장치(600)가 도시되어 있다.
도 2에 도시된 중계 장치(600)는 통합 제어부(610) 및 중계 스위치(620)를 포함한다. 다만, 도 2에는 본 발명의 실시예들과 관련 있는 구성요소들만이 도시되어 있다. 따라서, 본 발명이 속한 기술분야의 통상의 기술자라면 도 2에 도시된 구성요소들 외에 다른 범용적인 구성요소들이 더 포함될 수 있음을 알 수 있다
통합 제어부(610)는 중계 장치(600)의 전반적인 동작을 제어한다. 구체적으로, 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 제1 SDN 제어부(120) 및 제2 오버레이 SDN망(200)의 제2 SDN 제어부(220)로부터 각 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 가상 머신에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신한다.
도 2를 살펴보면 제1 스위치(130)와 중계 스위치(620) 간에 제1 터널(630)이 형성되어 있고, 제2 스위치(140)와 중계 스위치(620) 간에 제2 터널(640)이 형성되어 있음을 알 수 있다.
따라서, 중계 스위치(620)가 제1 스위치(130)에 연결되어 있는 제1 가상 머신(150)에 패킷을 전달하기 위해서는 제1 터널(630)을 통해야 함을 알 수 있다.
마찬가지로, 제2 오버레이 SDN망(200)에 속해있는 가상 머신들(250, 260, 270, 280)에 패킷을 전달하기 위해서는 각 가상 머신들이 연결되어 있는 스위치들(230, 240)과 중계 스위치(620) 간에 형성되어 있는 터널(650, 660)을 통해야 함을 알 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 통합 제어부(610)는 상술한 경로 정보를 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 수신하여 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 전달한다.
이때, 통합 제어부(610)는 수신된 경로 정보를 기 설정된 방법에 따라 변환하여 각 SDN 제어부에 전달한다. 예를 들어, 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 수신한 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 전달할 때, 제2 SDN 제어부(220)가 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 활용할 수 있도록 기 설정된 방법에 따라 경로 정보를 변환할 수 있다.
중계 스위치(620)는 각 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치 들과 터널을 형성하여 패킷 전송을 중계하는 역할을 수행한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 중계 스위치(620)는 통합 제어부(610)와 각 SDN 망(100, 200)의 제어부(120, 220)에 대해 기 설정된 자율적 프로세스(Autonomous Process)를 수행하는 에이전트(Agent)를 포함할 수 있다.
구체적으로, 중계 스위치(620)에 포함된 에이전트는 통합 제어부(610)에 중계 스위치(620)가 가상 머신들 간에 패킷 교환을 중계하는 스위치임을 등록할 수 있다.
따라서, 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속하는 가상 머신들과 제2 오버레이 SDN망(200)에 속하는 가상 머신들이 패킷을 교환할 때 중계 스위치(620)를 통하도록 제어할 수 있다.
또한, 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트는 중계 스위치(620)가 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100) 및 제2 오버레이 SDM 망(120)에 포함된 스위치가 되도록 할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트는 중계 스위치(620)가 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속하는 스위치임을 등록해줄 것을 요청하는 신호를 제1 SDN 제어부(120)에 전송할 수 있다.
마찬가지로, 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에도 중계 스위치(620)가 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)에 속하는 스위치임을 등록해 줄 것을 요청하는 신호를 전송할 수 있다.
중계 스위치(620)가 각 오버레이 SDN 망에 등록되면 SDN 제어부들로부터 터널 셋업 정보를 수신하여 각 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 스위치들과 터널을 생성한다.
도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 제1 스위치(130)와 중계 스위치(620) 간에 제1 터널(630)이 생성되고 제2 스위치(140)와 중계 스위치(620) 간에 제2 터널(640)이 생성될 수 있다.
제2 오버레이 SDN망(200)에 속하는 스위치들과도 마찬가지로, 제3 스위치(230)와 중계 스위치(620) 간에 제3 터널(660)이 생성되고 제4 스위치(24)와 중계 스위치(620) 간에 제4 터널(650)이 생성될 수 있다.
이후, 중계 스위치(620)와 스위치들(130, 140, 230, 240) 간에 생성된 터널 정보가 통합 제어부(610)에 전달된다. 따라서, 서로 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷은 중계 스위치(620)를 통해 전송되도록 제어할 수 있다.
상술한 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 중계 장치(600)에 따르면, L3 장치인 게이트웨이를 통하지 않더라도 서로 다른 브릿지 도메인에 속하는 가상 머신들끼리 패킷을 교환하게 할 수 있게 된다.
따라서, 기존 브릿지 도메인에서 사용하던 정책을 그대로 유지하면서 다른 솔루션이 사용되고 있는 브릿지 도메인의 가상 머신들과도 패킷을 주고받을 수 있게 된다는 효과를 달성할 수 있다.
도 3은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따라 중계 장치(600)의 중계 스위치(620)와 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 스위치들 간에 터널을 생성하는 과정을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
중계 스위치(620)에 포함된 에이전트는 중계 스위치(620)에 대한 등록 요청을 제1 SDN 제어부(120) 및 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 전송한다(S310).
구체적으로, 등록 요청은 중계 스위치(620)를 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100) 및 제2 오버레이 SDN망(200)에 포함된 스위치로 등록해줄 것을 요청하는 신호일 수 있다.
중계 스위치(620)가 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100) 및 제2 오버레이 SDN망(200)에 포함된 스위치로 등록되면 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100) 및 제2 오버레이 SDN망(200)에 포함된 스위치들과 터널을 생성하기 위한 터널 셋업 정보를 각 SDN 제어부들(120. 220)로부터 수신한다(S320, S330).
터널 셋업 정보에는 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들과 중계 장치(600)의 중계 스위치(620) 간에 터널을 생성하기 위해 필요한 정보가 포함될 수 있다.
이후, 각 SDN 제어부(120, 220)로부터 수신한 터널 셋업 정보를 이용하여 중계 스위치(620)와 각 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 스위치들을 연결하는 터널을 생성한다(S340).
이때, 중계 스위치(620)와 각 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치(150, 160, 170, 180, 250, 260, 270, 280)는 상술한 과정을 거쳐 생성된 터널의 시작점 또는 종점이 되는 VTEP(Virtual Tunnel End Point)일 수 있다.
이후, 중계 스위치(620)와 각 스위치 간에 생성된 터널 정보가 통합 제어부(610)에 전송되며, 각 스위치들에 연결된 가상 머신들은 스위치들과 중계 스위치(620)간에 생성된 터널을 통해 패킷을 송수신할 수 있게 된다.
이때, 중계 장치(600)의 통합 제어부(610)는 서로 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신들에 패킷을 송수신하기 위해 경로 정보를 관리해야 한다.
도 4는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따라 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보를 수신하여 제2 SDN 제어부에 전달하는 과정을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 4에는 통합 제어부(610)가 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터만 경로 정보(670)를 수신하는 것으로 도시되어 있으나 이에 한정되지 않으며 다른 SDN 제어부로부터 그 SDN 제어부가 속한 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보를 수신하여 다른 SDN 제어부에 전송하도록 구현될 수 있음은 물론이다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 서의 경로 정보를 수신한다.
여기에서 경로 정보(670)란, 가상 머신들이 연결된 스위치와 중계 스위치(620)를 연결하는 터널의 정보일 수 있다.
예를 들어, 중계 스위치(620)가 제1 가상 머신(150)에 패킷을 전송하기 위해서는 제1 터널(630)을 통해야 한다는 정보, 제4 가상 머신(180)에 패킷을 전송하기 위해서는 중계 스위치(620)가 제2 터널(640)을 통해야 한다는 정보 등이 경로 정보(670)에 포함될 수 있다.
SDN 제어부(120, 220)들로부터 경로 정보(670)를 수신한 통합 제어부(610)는 각 오버레이 SDN 망의 식별자를 경로 정보(670)에 부가한 후 이를 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트 및 다른 SDN 제어부들(120, 220)에 전달할 수 있다.
즉, 해당 경로 정보(670)가 어떤 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보(670)인지 식별되도록 하기 위해 경로 정보(670)에 그에 대응되는 오버레이 SDN 망의 식별자를 부가할 수 있다.
한편, 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보(670)를 수신한 통합 제어부(610)는 수신된 경로 정보(670)를 변환하여 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 전송할 수도 있다.
제1 SDN 제어부(120)와 제2 SDN 제어부(220)는 서로 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속해 있으므로, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 내의 경로 정보(670)를 그대로 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 제공할 경우 제2 SDN 제어부(220)가 그 경로 정보(670)를 활용하여 원하는 가상 머신에 패킷을 전송할 수 없게 된다.
예를 들어, 제1 가상 머신(150) 및 제2 가상 머신(160)이 제1 터널(630)을 통해 중계 스위치(620)와 연결되어 있고, 제3 가상 머신(170) 및 제4 가상 머신(180)이 제2 터널(640)을 통해 중계 스위치(620)와 연결되어 있다는 경로 정보(670)를 그대로 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 전달하면, 제2 SDN 제어부(220)는 그러한 경로 정보(670)만으로 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속하는 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)과의 패킷 송수신을 제어할 수 없게 된다.
중계 스위치(620)로부터 제1 가상 머신(150)에 패킷을 전송할 때 제1 터널(630)을 이용하도록 하는 것은 제2 SDN 제어부(220)의 제어 영역이 아니기 때문이다.
제2 오버레이 SDN망(200)에 속한 가상 머신으로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속한 가상 머신으로의 패킷 전송이 있는 경우, 제2 SDN 제어부(220)는 패킷을 중계 스위치(620)에 전송되도록 제어하면 될 뿐, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에서의 경로를 제어할 필요는 없으므로 상술한 바와 같이 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100) 내에서의 경로 정보를 변환할 필요가 생기는 것이다.
따라서, 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 수신한 경로 정보를 변환하여 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 전달할 수 있다.
구체적으로, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 통합 제어부(610)는 경로 정보(670)를 제2 SDN 제어부(210)에 전송하기 전에, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속하는 가상 머신으로 전송될 패킷은 중계 스위치(620)로 전송되도록 경로 정보(670)를 변경할 수 있다.
즉, 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신에 패킷을 전송할 때에는 중계 스위치(620)를 반드시 거쳐야 하므로 중계 스위치(620)와 연결된 터널(650, 660)로 패킷을 전송하라는 정보가 변경된 경로 정보(680)에 포함될 수 있다.
따라서, 도 4에서 변경된 경로 정보(680)에 표시된 “E tunnel”은 중계 스위치(620)와 연결된 터널인 제3 터널(660) 및 제4 터널(650)을 의미할 수 있다.
즉, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 제1 가상 머신(150) 내지 제4 가상 머신(180)에 패킷을 전송할 때는 제3 터널(660) 또는 제4 터널(650)을 통해 중계 스위치(620)로 패킷이 전달되도록 경로 정보(670)가 변경되는 것이다.
변경된 경로 정보(680)를 통해 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)에 속하는 가상 머신들로부터 중계 스위치(620)로 패킷이 전송되면, 중계 스위치(620)는 통합 제어부(610)로부터 수신한 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보(670)를 이용하여 패킷을 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속하는 가상 머신들에 전송할 수 있다.
상술한 바와 같이, 중계 스위치(620)로 하여금 변경된 경로 정보를 이용하여 서로 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속한 가상 머신들에 패킷을 전송하게 하면, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 브리지 도메인(110)이 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)으로 확장되는 것과 동일한 효과를 누릴 수 있게 된다.
도 5는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따라 경로 정보를 제공하는 과정을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
본 실시예에서는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보가 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 전송되는 것을 예로 들어 설명하였으나, 이에 한정되지 않으며 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)의 경로 정보가 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로 전송되도록 구현할 수 있음은 물론이다.
통합 제어부(610)는 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 수신한다(S510).
본 실시예에서는 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 통합 제어부(610)로 경로 정보를 바로 수신되는 것처럼 설명하였으나, 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트를 통해 통합 제어부(610)로 경로 정보가 수신되도록 구현할 수도 있다.
1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 수신한 통합 제어부(610)는 이를 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트에 전달한다(S520).
에이전트를 통해 중계 스위치(620)에 수신된 경로 정보는 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)에 포함된 가상 머신이 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속한 가상 머신에 패킷을 전송하고자 할 때 이용될 수 있다.
예를 들어, 제2 SDN 오버레이 망(200)의 가상 머신으로부터 제1 SDN 오버레이 망(100)의 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷이 중계 스위치(620)에 수신되면, 중계 스위치(620)는 통합 제어부(610)로부터 수신한 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 이용하여 그 패킷을 제1 SDN 오버레이 망(100)의 가상 머신에 전송할 수 있다.
한편, 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 수신한 경로 정보를 변환한다(S530).
구체적으로, 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)으로 전송되는 패킷이 중계 스위치(620)로 전송되도록 경로 정보를 변환하여 수정된 경로 정보를 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 전송한다(S540).
수정된 경로 정보에 의해 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속하는 가상 머신으로 전송될 패킷이 중계 스위치(620)에 수신되면, 중계 스위치(620)는 상술한 바와 같이 통합 제어부(610)로부터 수신한 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 이용하여 패킷을 수신처에 전송할 수 있다.
한편, 상술한 실시예에서는 통합 제어부(610)가 제2 오버레이 SDN(200) 망에서 제1 오버레이 SDN 망으로 전송되는 패킷이 중계 스위치(620)로 전송되도록 경로 정보를 변환하는 것을 예로 들었으나, 다른 방법을 이용하여 경로 정보가 변환되도록 구현할 수도 있다.
도 6은 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따라 경로 정보를 변환하는 방법을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 수신한 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 중계 스위치(620)의 로컬 정보로 변환할 수 있다.
여기에서, 경로 정보를 중계 스위치(620)의 로컬 정보로 변환한다는 것의 의미는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 포함된 각각의 가상 머신(150, 160, 170, 180)들이 중계 스위치(620)에 직접 연결된 것처럼 경로 정보를 변경하는 것을 의미한다.
제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)에 속한 가상 머신들(250, 260, 270, 280)로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속하는 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)로 패킷이 전송될 때는, 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)의 가상 머신(250, 260, 270, 280) -> 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)의 스위치(230, 240) -> 중계 스위치(620) -> 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 스위치(130, 140) -> 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)경로를 이용하게 된다.
그러나, 변경된 경로 정보에 의하면 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)이 중계 스위치(620)에 직접 연결된 것처럼 된다.
따라서, 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)의 가상 머신들(50, 260, 270, 280)이 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)에게 패킷을 전달할 때, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)이 직접 연결된 것처럼 변환된 중계 스위치(620)로 패킷을 전달하게 된다.
중계 스위치(620)는 에이전트를 통해 통합 제어부(610)로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 수신한 상태이므로, 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)의 가상 머신들(50, 260, 270, 280)로부터 패킷이 수신되면 경로 정보를 이용하여 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)에게 패킷을 전달할 수 있게 된다.
상술한 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 중계 장치(600)를 통해 패킷을 전송하면 서로 다른 솔루션을 사용하는 오버레이 SDN 망 간에 통신을 할 때에도 L3 장치인 게이트웨이를 통하지 않게 되는바, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인이 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장되는 것과 동일한 효과를 달성할 수 있다.
도 7은 경로 정보를 중계 스위치의 로컬 정보로 변환하는 과정을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
중계 장치(600)의 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 SDN 제어부(120)로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 수신한다(S710).
이후, 수신한 경로 정보를 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트에 전달한다(S720). 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트에 전달된 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보는 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)의 가상 머신들로부터 수신한 패킷을 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 가상 머신들에 전달할 때 사용된다.
한편, 통합 제어부(610)는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 경로 정보를 중계 스위치(620)의 로컬 정보로 변환한다(S730).
여기에서 중계 스위치(620)의 로컬 정보로 변환한다는 것의 의미는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)이 중계 스위치(620)에 직접 연결된 것으로 경로 정보를 변환하는 것을 의미한다.
이후, 경로 정보가 중계 스위치(620)의 로컬 정보로 변환되면(S730), 변환된 경로 정보를 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트를 통해(S740) 제2 SDN 제어부(220)로 전달한다(S750).
변환된 경로 정보에 의해, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 포함된 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)이 중계 스위치(620)에 직접 연결된 것으로 처리되므로, 제2 SDN 제어부(220)는 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 포함된 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)에 전송할 패킷을 중계 스위치(620)에 전달하게 된다.
따라서, L3 장치인 게이트웨이를 통하지 않고서도 다른 브릿지 도메인에 속한 가상 머신들에 패킷을 전송할 수 있게 된다는 효과를 누릴 수 있다.
도 8은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따라 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장하는 방법을 설명하기 위한 흐름도이다.
중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트가 중계 스위치(620)를 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100) 및 제2 오버레이 SDN(200)에 포함된 스위치가 되도록 제1 SDN 제어부(120) 및 제2 SDN 제어부(220)에 등록한다. 이후, 서로 다른 SDN 망에 속하는 스위치들과 중계 스위치(620) 간에 터널을 생성한다(S810).
즉, 중계 스위치(620)와 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 속하는 스위치들(150, 160, 170, 180) 간에 터널을 생성하고, 중계 스위치(620)와 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)에 속하는 스위치들(250, 260, 270, 280)간에서 터널을 생성한다.
이후, 각 오버레이 SDN 망의 제어부들(120, 220)로부터 경로 정보를 수신한다(S820). 구체적으로, 경로 정보는 각 오버레이 SDN 망 내에서 가상 머신들에 패킷을 전송하기 위한 터널 정보일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 특정 가상 머신에 패킷을 전송하기 위해 어떤 터널을 선택해야 하는지에 관한 정보가 경로 정보에 포함될 수 있다.
이하에서는, 각 SDN 망의 제어부(120, 220)와 관련 있는 단계와 중계 장치(600)의 중계 스위치(620)와 관련 있는 단계를 나누어 설명하도록 한다.
각 SDN 망으로부터 경로 정보를 수신한 통합 제어부(610)는 경로 정보를 변환 한다(S830). 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신에 전송될 패킷은 중계 스위치(620)로 전송되도록 경로 정보가 변경될 수 있다.
또는, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 포함된 가상 머신들(150, 160, 170, 180)이 중계 스위치(620)에 직접 연결된 것으로 경로 정보가 변경될 수 있다.
상술한 방법을 통해 변환된 경로 정보는 각 SDN 망에 제어부(120, 220)에 제공된다(S840). 이후, 각 SDN 망의 제어부(120, 220)들은 통합 제어부(610)로부터 수신한 경로 정보를 이용하여 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신들에 전송될 패킷을 중계 스위치(620)로 전달한다(S850).
한편, 각 SDN 망으로부터 경로 정보를 수신한 통합 제어부(620)는 이를 중계 스위치(620)의 에이전트에 제공한다(S860).
중계 스위치(620)는 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신들을 목적지로 하는 패킷이 수신되면, 통합 제어부(620)로부터 제공받은 각 SDN 망의 경로 정보를 이용하여 패킷을 수신처에 전달하게 된다(S870).
상술한 본 발명의 일 실시에에 따른 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법에 따르면, 서로 다른 솔루션을 사용하는 오버레이 SDN 망에 분산된 가상 서버 또는 물리 서버를 하나의 브릿지 도메인으로 묶을 수 있다는 효과를 달성할 수 있다.
도 9는 서로 다른 오버레이 SDN 망에 분산된 가상 서버 또는 물리 서버가 본 발명에 따른 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법에 의해 하나의 브릿지 도메인으로 묶인 모습을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 9에는 도시되어 있지 않지만 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100) 및 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)에는 복수의 가상 서버 또는 물리 서버가 포함되어 있을 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 중계 장치(200)에 따르면 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)의 제1 브릿지 도메인(110)이 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(200)까지 확장되는 것과 동일한 효과를 누릴 수 있게 된다.
즉, 제1 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 포함된 가상 서버 또는 물리 서버들과 제2 오버레이 SDN 망(100)에 포함된 가상 서버 또는 물리 서버들을 하나의 브릿지 도메인으로 묶을 수 있게 된다.
상술한 방법에 따르면, 서로 다른 솔루션을 사용하고 있는 오버레이 SDN 망간에도 브릿지 도메인을 자유롭게 확장시킬 수 있다는 효과를 달성할 수 있게 된다.
도 10은 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 중계 장치(1000)를 설명하기 위한 기능 블록도이다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 중계 장치(1000)는 프로세서(1010), 스토리지(1020), 메모리(1030), 네트워크 인터페이스(1040) 및 버스(1050)를 포함한다.
도 10에 도시된 중계 장치(1000)에는 본 발명의 실시예들과 관련된 구성요소들만이 도시되어 있다. 따라서, 본 발명이 속한 기술분야의 통상의 기술자라면 도 10에 도시된 구성요소들 외에 다른 범용적인 구성요소들이 더 포함될 수 있음을 알 수 있다.
프로세서(1010)는 오버레이 SDN 망을 중계할 수 있는 프로그램을 실행할 수 있는 프로세서이다. 그러나, 프로세서(1010)에서 수행될 수 있는 프로그램은 이에 한정되지 않으며 다른 범용적인 프로그램이 실행될 수도 있다.
스토리지(1020)는 각 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보(1021, 1023)가 저장되어 있다. 다만, 도 10에는 각 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보(1021, 1023)만이 저장되어 있는 것으로 도시되어 있으나 이에 한정되지 않으며, 소정의 방법에 따라 변경된 경로 정보가 저장되어 있을 수도 있다.
또한, 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인을 다른 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장할 수 있는 프로그램이 저장되어 있을 수도 있다.
여기에서 브릿지 도메인 확장 프로그램은, 중계 장치를 이용하여 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인(Bridge Domain)을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 중계 장치의 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록하는 단계, 상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계, 상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계, 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계, 상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계 및 기 변환된 경로 정보를 상기 제2 SDN 제어부에 전송하는 단계를 포함한다.
메모리(1030)는 브릿지 도메인 확장 프로그램을 로딩하여, 그 프로그램이 프로세서(1010)에서 실행될 수 있도록 한다.
또한, 네트워크 인터페이스(1040)를 통해 수신된 각 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보 등이 임시로 저장되었다고 스토리지(1020)로 전송되어 영구적으로 저장되도록 할 수도 있다.
네트워크 인터페이스(1040)에는 다른 컴퓨팅 장치가 연결될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 각 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 물리 서버, 가상 서버 또는 터널의 시점/종점이 되는 VTEP(Virtual Tunnel End Point)가 연결될 수 있다.
버스(1050)는 상술한 프로세서(1010), 스토리지(1020), 메모리(1030) 및 네트워크 인터페이스(1040)가 연결되는 데이터 이동 통로로서의 역할을 수행한다.
한편, 상술한 방법은 컴퓨터에서 실행될 수 있는 프로그램으로 작성 가능하고, 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체를 이용하여 상기 프로그램을 동작시키는 범용 디지털 컴퓨터에서 구현될 수 있다. 또한, 상술한 방법에서 사용된 데이터의 구조는 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체에 여러 수단을 통하여 기록될 수 있다. 상기 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체는 마그네틱 저장매체(예를 들면, 롬, 플로피 디스크, 하드 디스크 등), 광학적 판독 매체(예를 들면, 시디롬, 디브이디 등)와 같은 저장매체를 포함한다.
본 실시예와 관련된 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 상기된 기재의 본질적인 특성에서 벗어나지 않는 범위에서 변형된 형태로 구현될 수 있음을 이해할 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 개시된 방법들은 한정적인 관점이 아니라 설명적인 관점에서 고려되어야 한다. 본 발명의 범위는 전술한 설명이 아니라 특허청구범위에 나타나 있으며, 그와 동등한 범위 내에 있는 모든 차이점은 본 발명에 포함된 것으로 해석되어야 할 것이다.
Claims (20)
- 중계 장치를 이용하여 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인(Bridge Domain)을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장하는 방법에 있어서,상기 중계 장치의 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록하는 단계;상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계;상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계;상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계;상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계; 및상기 변환된 경로 정보를 상기 제2 SDN 제어부에 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 경로 정보는,상기 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치와 상기 중계 스위치를 연결하는 터널의 경로 정보인 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계는,상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷은 상기 중계 스위치로 전송되도록 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계를 포함하는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신으로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷 전송 요청을 수신하는 단계;상기 패킷을 상기 변환된 경로 정보에 따라 상기 중계 스위치에 전달하는 단계; 및상기 중계 스위치가 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보에 따라 상기 패킷을 상기 목적지로 설정된 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치에 전송하는 단계;를 더 포함하는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계는,상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신이 상기 중계 스위치에 직접 연결된 것으로 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계를 포함하는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신으로부터 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷 전송 요청을 수신하는 단계;상기 패킷을 상기 변환된 경로 정보에 따라 상기 중계 스위치에 전달하는 단계; 및상기 중계 스위치가 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 경로 정보에 따라 상기 패킷을 상기 목적지로 설정된 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치에 전송하는 단계;를 더 포함하는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계는,상기 상기 수신된 경로 정보를 상기 중계 스위치의 에이전트에 전달하는 단계를 포함하는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 중계 장치의 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록하는 단계는,상기 중계 스위치에 포함된 에이전트가 상기 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 제1 SDN 제어부에 등록하는 단계; 및상기 중계 스위치에 포함된 에이전트가 상기 중계 스위치를 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망의 제2 SDN 제어부에 등록하는 단계;를 포함하는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계는,상기 경로 정보에 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 대응되는 식별자를 부가하는 단계를 포함하는 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인 확장 방법.
- 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인(Bridge Domain)을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장시키는 중계 장치에 있어서,제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록된 중계 스위치; 및상기 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하여 상기 경로 정보를 기 설정된 방법에 따라 변환한 후, 상기 변환된 경로 정보를 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망의 제2 SDN 제어부로 전송하는 통합 제어부를 포함하되,상기 중계 스위치는,상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치와 연결된 터널이 생성되어 있는 중계 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 경로 정보는,상기 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치와 상기 중계 스위치를 연결하는 터널의 경로 정보인 중계 장치.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 통합 제어부는,상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷은 상기 중계 스위치로 전송되도록 경로 정보를 변환하는 중계 장치.
- 제12항에 있어서,상기 중계 스위치는,상기 변환된 경로 정보에 따라 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신으로부터 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷을 수신하고, 상기 경로 정보에 따라 상기 패킷을 상기 목적지로 설정된 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치에 전송하는 중계 장치.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 통합 제어부는,상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신이 상기 중계 스위치에 직접 연결된 것으로 경로 정보를 변환하는 중계 장치.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 중계 스위치는,상기 변환된 경로 정보에 따라 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신으로부터 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신을 목적지로 하는 패킷을 수신하고, 상기 경로 정보에 따라 상기 패킷을 상기 목적지로 설정된 가상 머신이 연결된 스위치에 전송하는 중계 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 중계 스위치는,기 설정된 프로세스를 수행하는 에이전트를 포함하고,상기 통합 제어부는 상기 에이전트에 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 제공하는 중계 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 중계 스위치는,기 설정된 프로세스를 수행하는 에이전트를 포함하고,상기 에이전트는,상기 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 상기 제1 SDN 제어부에 등록하고, 상기 중계 스위치를 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 상기 제2 SDN 제어부에 등록하는 중계 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 통합 제어부는,상기 경로 정보에 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 대응되는 식별자를 부가하는 중계 장치.
- 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인(Bridge Domain)을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장시키는 중계 장치에 있어서,하나 이상의 프로세서;상기 프로세서의 의하여 수행되는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 로드(load)하는 메모리; 및라이센스를 관리하는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 저장하는 스토리지를 포함하되,상기 컴퓨터 프로그램은,상기 중계 장치의 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록하는 오퍼레이션;상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 오퍼레이션;상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 오퍼레이션;상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 오퍼레이션;상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 오퍼레이션; 및상기 변환된 경로 정보를 상기 제2 SDN 제어부에 전송하는 오퍼레이션을 포함하는 중계 장치.
- 컴퓨터 장치와 결합하여 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 브릿지 도메인(Bridge Domain)을 제2 오버레이 SDN 망으로 확장시키는 컴퓨터 프로그램에 있어서,중계 장치의 중계 스위치를 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망 및 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치로 등록하는 단계;상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계;상기 중계 스위치와 상기 제2 오버레이 SDN 망에 포함된 스위치들을 연결하는 터널(tunnel)을 생성하는 단계;상기 제1 오버레이 SDN 망의 제1 SDN 제어부로부터 상기 제1 SDN 망에 속하는 가상 머신(VM : Virtual Machine)에 연결되기 위한 경로 정보를 수신하는 단계;상기 경로 정보를 변환하는 단계; 및상기 변환된 경로 정보를 상기 제2 SDN 제어부에 전송하는 단계를 실행하도록 기록 매체에 저장된 컴퓨터 프로그램.
