단계(210)에서 단말기는 프리앰블 및 메시지를 포함하는 전송 시퀀스를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 메시지 비트는 프리픽스, 단말기 식별자 및 desired message 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 프리픽스는 메시지의 전부를 전송하고 이후에 추가적인 메시지 전송이 없다는 것을 나타낼 수 있다.
일실시예로서 단말기 식별자는 기계 노드의 위도 및 경도와 같은 위치 정보를 이용할 수 있다. 다른 특별한 고유 단말기 식별자를 별도로 할당할 필요가 없으므로, 더 많은 기계 노드에 적용 가능하고 높은 응용 가능성을 기재할 수 있다. 예시적으로 야생 동물의 위치정보를 단말기 식별자로 설정하고, desired message에 상태 정보를 기재하여 빠른 위치 파악 및 상태 파악이 가능한 네트워크를 구현할 수 있다.
다른 일실시예로서, 기지국이 지정한 Logical ID를 단말기 식별자로 이용할 수 있을 것이다. 셀(cell) 안의 공간그룹을 구성하게 되면 다른 공간그룹 사이에 동일한 Logical ID를 재활용할 수 있기 때문에 많은 노드들 및 단말기들에게 단말기 식별자를 제공할 수 있다.

도 3a 및 도 3b는 일실시예에 따른 단말기와 기지국의 이중 프레임을 이용한 임의접속 절차를 도시하는 흐름도이다. 도 3a 및 도 3b를 참조하면, 임의접속 과정에서 첫 번째 단계 및 두 번째 단계에 대응하는 리소스를 이용하여 메시지를 송수신한다는 점에서 도 2와 유사성이 존재한다. 다만, 하나의 프레임이 아닌 두 개의 프레임에 나누어 데이터를 전송한다는 점에서 도 2에서 설명된 실시예와는 차이점이 존재한다.
도 3a를 참조하면, 단계(310)에서 단말기는 프리앰블 및 메시지를 포함하는 전송 시퀀스를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 단계(310)에서 메시지 비트는 제1 프리픽스를 포함할 수 있다. 도 3a에서 도시되는 실시예에서 단말기는 첫 번째 프레임을 통해 메시지의 일부를 전송하고 두 번째 프레임을 통해 후속 메시지를 전송한다. 따라서 단계(310)에서 전송되는 메시지 비트에 포함되는 제1 프리픽스는 전체 메시지의 일부를 전송하고 이후에 후속 메시지를 전송한다는 통신 방법을 나타낼 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 제1 프리픽스는 전체 메시지가 나눠지는 프레임의 개수를 나타낼 수 있다. 기지국은 상기 제1 프리픽스를 디코딩하여 단말기로부터 전체 메시지가 전달되기 위해 추가적인 몇 개의 프레임을 수신하여야 하는지 판단할 수 있다.
일실시예로서 단계(310)에서 메시지 비트는 단말기 식별자를 포함할 수 있다. 이 경우에, 단말기는 단계(330)에서 desired message 전체를 전송할 수 있다.
다른 일실시예로서 단계(310)에서 메시지 비트는 단말기 식별자의 일부 및 desired message의 일부를 포함할 수 있다. 이 경우에, 단말기는 단계(330)에서 단말기 식별자의 나머지 일부 및 desired message의 나머지 일부를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 기지국은 단계(310) 및 단계(330)에서 수신된 메시지를 통합하여 상기 메시지를 디코딩 할 수 있다. 이 경우에, 기지국은 단말기 식별자와 desired message 사이의 효과적인 매칭(matching)을 수행할 수 있다. 더하여, 기지국은 이중 프레임으로 이루어진 메시지와 단말기의 매칭을 수행하기 위해 단계(310) 및 단계(330)에서 사용한 TA(Timing Alignment) 정보를 사용할 수 있다.
단계(320)에서 기지국은 단말기로 임의접속 응답 메시지 및 ACK를 전송할 수 있다. 다만, 도 3b에서 설명하는 경우와 다르게 도 3a는 메시지 일부를 수신하는 각각의 경우에 기지국은 단말기로 단계(320) 및 단계(340)과 같이 임의접속 응답 메시지 및 ACK를 전송할 수 있다.
앞서 기재한 바와 같이, PUSCH의 리소스를 사용하지 않고 데이터를 송수신할 수 있기 때문에 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지는 상향링크 리소스 허가를 포함하지 않을 수 있다. 더하여, 단계(320)에서 기지국은 단계(310)에서 수신된 메시지의 ACK을 단말기로 전송할 수 있다.
단계(330)에서 단말기는 프리앰블 및 메시지를 포함하는 전송 시퀀스를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 단계(330)에서 메시지 비트는 제2 프리픽스를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제2 프리픽스는 전체 메시지의 나머지를 전송하고 전송이 종료되는 통신 방법을 나타낼 수 있다.
단계(340)에서 기지국은 단말기로 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송할 수 있다. 더하여, 단계(340)에서 기지국은 단계(330)에서 수신된 메시지의 ACK을 단말기로 전송할 수 있다.
도 3b를 참조하면, 단계(350)에서 단말기는 프리앰블 및 메시지를 포함하는 전송 시퀀스를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 단계(310)와 같은 방법으로, 메시지 비트는 제1 프리픽스를 포함할 수 있고, 상기 제1 프리픽스는 전체 메시지의 일부를 전송하고 이후에 후속 메시지를 전송한다는 통신 방법을 나타낼 수 있다.
단계(360)에서 단말기는 프리앰블 및 메시지를 포함하는 전송 시퀀스를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 단계(360)에서 메시지 비트는 제2 프리픽스를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제2 프리픽스는 전체 메시지의 나머지를 전송하고 전송이 종료되는 통신 방법을 나타낼 수 있다.
단계(370)에서 기지국은 단말기로 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송할 수 있다. 더하여, 단계(370)에서 기지국은 단계(350) 및 단계(360)에서 수신된 메시지의 ACK을 단말기로 전송할 수 있다. 도 3b에서 설명하고 있는 통신 방법은 도 3a에서 설명하는 통신 방법과 상이한 차이점이 존재한다. 단계(370)에서 기지국은 메시지 전체의 전송이 완료됨을 나타내는 제2 프리픽스를 수신한 이후에 단말기로 임의접속 응답 메시지 및 ACK를 전송한다는 점에서 차이점이 존재한다. 도 3a의 경우와 비교할 때, 기지국은 상기 제2 프리픽스가 디코딩된 경우에 ACK을 한 번 단말기로 전송하게 될 것이다. 초연결사회가 도래함에 따라, 극 다수 노드들을 제어하기 위해 사용되는 제어 평면 자원의 효율적 활용이 고민되고 있다. 도 3b와 같은 실시예를 따를 때, 단말기는 연결을 위한 제어 평면 자원의 소모 없이 connectionless 데이터 송수신을 수행할 수 있고, 기지국은 마찬가지로 전체 데이터의 송수신이 완료된 경우에 한 번만 ACK를 전송하게 되어 제어 평면 자원을 절약할 수 있을 것이다.
도 4a 및 도 4b는 일실시예에 따른 단말기와 기지국의 멀티 프레임을 이용한 임의접속 절차를 도시하는 흐름도이다. 도 4a를 참조하면, 단계(401), 단계(403), 단계(405), 단계(407) 및 단계(409)는 단말기가 임의접속 절차를 위한 PRACH의 리소스를 이용하여 메시지 및 프리앰블을 전송하는 단계이다. 또한, 단계(402), 단계(404), 단계(406), 단계(408) 및 단계(410)는 기지국이 단말기에 전송된 메시지에 대한 ACK과 함께 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송하는 단계이다.
도 4a의 통신방법은 도 2, 도 3a 및 도 3b에 설명된 통신방법을 참조할 때 기술분야에 속하는 통상의 기술자에게 자명할 것이다. 다만, 각 단계마다 프리픽스의 차이가 존재할 수 있다. 단계(401)에서 단말기는 제1 프리픽스를 포함하는 메시지 비트를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 일실시예로서, 제1 프리픽스는 메시지 전송의 시작과 함께 단말기 식별자가 전송되는 것을 나타낼 수 있다. 단계(403), 단계(405) 및 단계(407)에서 단말기는 제2 프리픽스를 포함하는 메시지 비트를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 일실시예로서, 제2 프리픽스는 연속된 메시지를 전달하는 통신 방법을 나타낼 수 있다. 다른 일실시예로서, 단계(403), 단계(405) 및 단계(407)에서 단말기는 각각 다른 프리픽스를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 상기 각각의 프리픽스는 연속된 메시지의 선후관계를 나타낼 수 있다. 또한, 단계(409)에서 단말기는 제3 프리픽스를 포함하는 메시지 비트를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 상기 제3 프리픽스는 연속된 메시지의 전송의 마지막을 나타낼 수 있다.
도 4b를 참조하면, 앞서 기재한 바와 같이 단계(411), 단계(412), 단계(413), 단계(414) 및 단계(415)는 단말기가 임의접속 절차를 위한 PRACH의 리소스를 이용하여 메시지 및 프리앰블을 전송하는 단계이다. 기술분야에 속하는 당업자에게 도 4a의 설명을 참조할 때, 도 4b의 단계들은 자명할 것이다. 다만, 단계(416)은 도 4a와 차이점이 존재한다. 단계(416)에서 기지국은 단계(370)과 같이 메시지 전체의 전송이 완료됨을 나타내는 프리픽스를 수신한 이후에 단말기로 임의접속 응답 메시지 및 ACK를 전송하게 될 것이다.
도 5는 다른 일실시예에 따른 단말기와 기지국의 임의접속 절차를 도시하는 흐름도이다. 단계(510)에서 단말기는 기지국으로 프리앰블 및 메시지를 포함하는 전송 시퀀스를 전송할 수 있다. 단말기는 기지국과의 지정된 통신 방식에 상응하는 임의의 프리앰블을 선택하여 사용할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 자도프 추(Zadoff Chu) 시퀀스의 길이 NZC와 프리앰블 순환이동의 크기(cyclic shifting size) Ncs가 주어진 경우에, 단말기가 기지국으로 전송 가능한 프리앰블 시퀀스의 개수 NPA는 아래의 수학식 1에 따라 결정될 수 있다.
예시적으로, 단말기와 기지국이 LTE 표준을 따르는 경우에, NZC=839 및 Ncs=13가 주어지고, 프리앰블 시퀀스의 개수 NPA는 아래의 수학식 1에 따라 NPA=64로 결정될 수 있다. 그에 따라, 단말기는 64개의 프리앰블 시퀀스 중에서 임의로 어느 하나의 프리앰블을 선택하여 물리적 임의접속 채널을 통해 단말기로 전송할 수 있다.
다만, 종래의 임의접속 방법에 따르는 경우에는 물리적 다운링크 공유 채널(PDSCH: Physical Downlink Shared Channel)을 이용하여 상기 프리앰블에 대응하는 임의접속 응답 메시지가 기지국에서 단말기로 전송될 것이다. 이후 기지국이 단말기로부터 물리적 상향링크 공유 채널(PUSCH: Physical Uplink Shared Channel)을 이용하여 수신한 메시지가 디코딩되지 않는 경우에, 비로소 기지국은 단말기가 사용한 프리앰블에 충돌이 존재한다는 것을 인지할 수 있을 것이다.
위와 같은 종래의 방식을 따르는 경우에, 기지국은 단말기로 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송하고, 더하여 물리적 상향링크 공유 채널의 리소스 일부를 단말기에게 할당한 뒤에서야 프리앰블의 충돌을 인지한다는 문제점이 존재한다. 불필요한 제어 평면 자원을 사용하고, 메시지의 디코딩 실패를 통해서만 프리앰블의 충돌을 인지한다는 점에서 종래의 임의접속 절차는 노드의 수가 급속하게 증가하게 될 무선 네트워크 환경을 고려할 때 개선될 필요성이 존재한다.
단계(520)에서 기지국은 수신된 시퀀스를 이용하여 프리앰블 인덱스를 검출할 수 있다. 더하여 기지국은 수신된 시퀀스를 이용하여 메시지 인덱스를 추가적으로 검출할 수 있다. 기지국은 상기 검출된 메시지 인덱스의 개수를 이용하여 프리앰블의 충돌 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 기지국은 검출된 메시지 인덱스의 개수가 복수 개인 경우에, 복수 개의 단말기가 동일한 프리앰블을 사용한 것을 판단하여 프리앰블의 충돌(collision)을 검출할 수 있다. 프리앰블의 충돌이 검출된 경우에, 기지국은 상기 프리앰블에 대한 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송하지 않을 수 있다. 아래에서 추가되는 도면과 함께, 기지국이 메시지 인덱스를 검출하는 과정이 보다 자세하게 설명될 것이다.
단계(530)에서 단말기는 기전송된 프리앰블에 대응하는 임의접속 응답 메시지 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신되지 않았다고 판단된 경우에, 단말기는 기설정된 시간 간격에 대응하는 백 오프를 수행할 수 있다.
도 5에서 도시되지 않았지만, 판단의 결과에 따라 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신된 경우에, 단말기는 종래의 임의접속 방식과 동일하게 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 업링크 자원을 이용하여 스케쥴링 요청 메시지를 상기 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다.
도 6은 일실시예에 따른 단말기를 도시하는 블록도이다. 단말기(600)는 임의접속 과정 중에서 물리적 임의접속 채널을 이용하여 메시지를 기지국에 전송할 수 있다. 짧은 메시지를 임의접속 과정에서 함께 송수신할 수 있기 때문에 전송 효율성을 높일 수 있다.
단말기(600)는 결정부(610), 연산부(620) 및 인코더(630)를 포함할 수 있다. 결정부(610)는 기지국과의 지정된 통신 방식에 따라 물리적 임의접속 채널에 상응하는 전송 가능한 메시지 크기를 결정할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 결정부(610)는 기지국으로부터 수신되는 임의접속 정보에 기초하여 전송 가능한 메시지의 크기를 결정할 수 있다. 상기 임의접속 정보는 프리앰블 순환이동의 크기 Ncs, 프리앰블 시퀀스의 개수 NPA, 자도프 추 시퀀스의 길이 NZC, 프리앰블

결정부(610)는 아래 수학식 2에 기초하여 전송 가능한 메시지의 크기를 결정할 수 있다.
예시적으로 LTE 표준을 따르는 경우에 Ncs=13, NPA=64, NZC=839가 주어지고, N이 1이라고 가정하면 결정부(610)는 현재 15비트의 메시지 크기가 전송 가능하다고 결정할 수 있다.
예시적으로, 그러나 한정되지 않게 N이 1이라고 가정한 경우에 결정부(610)는 NPA 및 NZC에 대응하는 전송 가능한 메시지 크기를 아래에 기재되는 표 1과 같이 계산할 수 있다. 기존 LTE 표준에서는 1ms 서브 프레임을 PRACH의 시간 축 길이로써 Nzc =839길이의 자도프 추 시퀀스를 전송하였다. 늘어난 길이(Nzc >839)의 자도프 추 시퀀스를 전송하기 위해서는 PRACH의 시간 축 길이를 다수의 서브 프레임을 이용해 구성하여야 할 것이다.
더하여, 단말기(600)가 지정된 통신 방식에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스 길이보다 증가된 메시지를 전송할 필요가 있는 경우에, 결정부(610)는 상기 물리적 임의접속 채널에 대응하는 복수의 서브 프레임을 이용하여 상기 증가된 메시지를 전송하도록 결정할 수 있다.
더하여, LTE 표준에 따라 Ncs=13, NPA=64, NZC=839이라고 가정한 경우에 결정부(610)는 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 집합의 원소 개수 N에 대응하는 전송 가능한 메시지 크기를 아래에 기재되는 표 2와 같이 계산할 수 있다.
연산부(620)는 전송 가능한 메시지 크기 내에서 상기 단말기(600)가 보내고자 하는 메시지를 설정하고 상기 메시지로부터 프리앰블 인덱스 및 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각 계산할 수 있다. 연산부(620)는 기지국으로 전송할 메시지를 계산된 메시지 크기 내에서 설정할 수 있다. 또한, 연산부(620)는 메시지 내의 제1 비트열에 기초하여 프리앰블 인덱스를, 메시지 내의 제2 비트열에서부터 제(N+1) 비트열까지의 각각의 비트열에 기초하여 제1 메시지 인덱스부터 제N 메시지 인덱스까지의 각각의 메시지 인덱스를 결정할 수 있다.
상기 제1 비트열은 메시지 내의 비트에 대응될 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로 연산부(620)는 메시지 내의 비트에 대응하는 이진수 값을 십진수로 변환하여 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 결정할 수 있다. 상기 제2 비트열에서부터 제(N+1) 비트열까지의 각각의 비트열은 제1 메시지부터 제N 메시지 내의 각각의 비트에 대응될 수 있다. 마찬가지로, 연산부(620)는 제1 메시지부터 제N 메시지 내의 각각의 비트에 대응하는 이진수 값을 십진수로 변환하여 제1 메시지 인덱스 부터 제N 메시지 인덱스 을 결정할 수 있다. 일실시예로서 프리앰블 인덱스 i는 0부터 -1까지 정수 중에서 어느 하나 일 수 있다. 예시적으로 NPA가 2의 배수인 경우에 프리앰블 인덱스 i는 0부터 NPA-1까지 정수 중에서 어느 하나 일 수 있다. 제1 메시지 인덱스 는 0부터 - 1까지 정수 중에서 어느 하나 일 수 있다.
다른 일실시예로서, 연산부(620)는 상기 설정된 메시지의 시작 비트에서부터 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 적어도 하나의 메시지 비트열을 반복적으로 추출하고, 상기 남겨진 메시지로부터 프리앰블 비트열을 추출할 수 있다.
인코더(630)는 프리앰블 인덱스 및 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각을 인코딩하여 기지국으로 전송하도록 제공할 수 있다. 예시적으로, 상기 메시지 인덱스 집합은 제1 메시지 인덱스 부터 제N 메시지 인덱스 까지를 포함하는 것일 수 있다. 더하여, 인코더(630)는 자도프 추(Zadoff Chu) 시퀀스를 이용하여 프리앰블 시퀀스를 생성할 수 있다. 자도프 추 시퀀스에 대한 일반식은 아래의 수학식 3과 같다.

NCS는 주어진 셀의 반지름에 기초하여 결정되는 순환이동(cyclic shifting) 크기를 나타낸다. 인코더(630)는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 NCS의 배수로 순환이동 시켜서 프리앰블 시퀀스를 생성한다. 인코더(630)는 수학식 4에 따라 연산부(620)가 계산한 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 대입하여 프리앰블 시퀀스를 생성할 수 있다.
한편, 연산부(620)는 상기 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 독립 변수로 하는 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 각각을 이용하여 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r과는 상이한 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스를 계산할 수 있다. 더하여, 인코더(630)는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 메시지 시퀀스를 생성할 수 있다. 인코더(630)는 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스 k1에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 제1 메시지 시퀀스를 생성할 수 있다. 인코더(630)는 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 k1=f1(i)에 기초하여 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스 k1를 결정할 수 있다. f1(i)는 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 입력으로 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스 k1을 출력으로 하는 임의의 함수로서, 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r과 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스 k1가 상이한 값을 갖도록 하는 k1를 결정한다. 프리앰블에 연관되는 제1 자도프 추 시퀀스와 제1 메시지에 연관되는 제2 자도프 추 시퀀스가 cross correlation을 가지기 위해서는 프리앰블 루트 인덱스와 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스는 서로 상이한 값을 가져야 한다. 인코더(630)는 아래 기재된 수학식 5와 같은 제1 메시지 시퀀스를 생성할 수 있다.
인코더(630)는 수학식 5에 연산부(620)가 계산한 제1 메시지 인덱스 을 대입하여 제1 메시지 시퀀스를 생성할 수 있다. 앞서 기재한 프리앰블 시퀀스와 비교할 때, 제1 메시지 시퀀스는 프리앰블 시퀀스를 제1 메시지 인덱스 크기만큼 추가적으로 순환 이동한 시퀀스이다. 앞서 기재한 제1 메시지 시퀀스를 생성하는 방법을 확장하여 제2 메시지 시퀀스부터 제N 메시지 시퀀스를 생성하는 것은 기술 분야에 속하는 당업자에게 자명할 것이다.
다시 말하여, 인코더(630)는 프리앰블 루트 인덱스에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 상수 값만큼 순환 이동한 프리앰블 시퀀스 및 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 상수 값과 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각의 합만큼 순환 이동한 메시지 시퀀스 각각을 생성하여 상기 기지국으로 전송하도록 제공할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 단말기(600)가 기지국으로 전송하는 전송 시퀀스 전체는 아래 수학식 6와 같을 수 있다.
단말기(600)는 프리앰블 시퀀스와 메시지 시퀀스를 모두 포함하는 전송 시퀀스를 전송할 수 있다. 는 프리앰블 시퀀스에 연관되는 신호 강도이고, 과 은 각각 제1 메시지 시퀀스와 제N 메시지 시퀀스에 연관되는 신호 강도이다.
단말기(600)는 프리앰블과 메시지를 함께 전송하는 메시지 동시 전송 모드와 종래의 임의접속 방법에 상응하는 프리앰블 전송 모드 중 어느 하나를 선택하여 임의접속을 수행할 수 있다. 그에 따라, 단말기(600)는 도 6에 도시되지는 않았지만 선택부를 더 포함할 수 있다. 선택부는 프리앰블 전송 모드 및 메시지 동시 전송 모드 중에서 어느 하나를 선택할 수 있다. 그에 따라, 선택부가 프리앰블 전송 모드를 선택한 경우 인코더(630)는 프리앰블 인덱스를 인코딩하고 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 이 경우에, 단말기(600)는 종래와 같이 기지국으로 프리앰블만을 전송하여 임의접속을 수행할 수 있다.
도 7은 일실시예에 따른 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 및 프리앰블 인덱스를 결정하는 방법을 설명하는 예시도이다. 도 7을 참조하면 LTE 표준에 따라 NPA=64, NZC=839이고 N=2인 경우에, 전송 가능한 24 비트의 메시지가 도시된다. 010001000011000111011000은 단말기가 기지국으로 전송하고자 하는 비트열을 나타낸다. 이 경우에, 단말기는 메시지의 시작에서부터 비트에 대응하는 제1 비트열(710)을 추출할 수 있다. 일실시예에 따르면, 010001000이 제1 비트열(710)로서 추출될 수 있다. 이 때 이진수 010001000에 대응하는 십진수 값 136이 계산될 수 있다. 단말기는 136을 제1 메시지에 연관되는 제1 메시지 인덱스 로 결정할 수 있다. 마찬가지로, 제1 비트열의 다음 비트에서부터 비트에 대응하는 제2 비트열(720)을 추출할 수 있다. 일실시예에 따르면, 011000111이 제2 비트열(720)로 추출될 수 있다. 이 때 이진수 011000111에 대응하는 십진수 값 199가 계산될 수 있다. 단말기는 199를 제2 메시지에 연관되는 제2 메시지 인덱스 로 결정할 수 있다. 마찬가지로, 제2 비트열(720)의 다음 비트에서부터 비트에 대응하는 제3 비트열(730)을 추출할 수 있다. 일실시예에 따르면, 011000이 제3 비트열(730)로서 추출될 수 있다. 이 때 이진수 011000에 대응하는 십진수 값 24가 계산될 수 있다. 단말기는 24를 프리앰블에 연관되는 프리앰블 인덱스 i로 결정할 수 있다.
도 8a 및 도 8b는 일실시예에 따른 단말기가 기지국에 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 통신 방법의 흐름도이다. 일실시예의 통신 방법에 따를 때, 단말기는 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 시작 단계에서 전송 가능한 메시지 크기를 결정하는 단계(811)를 수행할 수 있다. 단말기는 기지국과의 통신 방식에 대응하는 전송 가능한 메시지의 크기를 결정할 수 있다. 단계(811)는 단말기에 포함되는 프로세서에 의해 일시적으로 구현되는 결정부에 의해 실행될 수 있다. 기지국은 소정의 범위 내의 단말기들에게 지정된 통신 방식에 대응하는 임의접속 정보를 전송(broadcasting)할 수 있다. 단말기는 단계(811)에서 상기 수신된 임의접속 정보를 이용하여 메시지 크기를 결정할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 상기 임의접속 정보는 프리앰블 순환이동의 크기, 프리앰블의 개수, 프리앰블 시퀀스의 길이, 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 및 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 집합 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
더하여, 단계(812)는 설정된 메시지에 기초하여 프리앰블 인덱스와 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스를 결정하는 단계이다. 단말기는 단계(811)에서 결정된 메시지 크기에 상응하는 메시지를 결정할 수 있다. 상기 메시지는 단말기가 기지국으로 전송하려고 하는 desired message일 수 있다. 단계(812)에서 단말기는 메시지의 시작에서부터 비트에 대응하는 제1 비트열을 추출하고, 이어지는 메시지의 다음 비트에서부터 비트에 대응하는 제2 비트열을 추출할 수 있다. 더하여, 단말기는 이와 같은 비트열 추출을 반복하여 제N 비트열을 추출할 수 있다. 더하여, 메시지에서 남은 비트에 대응하는 제(N+1) 비트열을 추출할 수 있다. 이어서, 단말기는 제1 비트열에서 제N 비트열까지 각각의 비트열에 대응하는 이진수를 십진수 값으로 변환하여 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각을 결정할 수 있다. 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스는 제1 비트열에 대응하는 제1 메시지 인덱스 에서 제N 비트열에 대응하는 제N 메시지 인덱스 를 포함할 수 있다. 또한 단말기는 제(N+1) 비트열에 대응하는 이진수는 십진수 값으로 변환하여 프리앰블 인덱스 i 를 결정할 수 있다.
단계(813)는 메시지 및 프리앰블을 인코딩하는 단계이다. 더하여, 단계(813)에서 프리앰블 시퀀스 및 메시지 시퀀스가 생성될 수 있다. 단계(813)에서 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 프리앰블 시퀀스 및 메시지 시퀀스가 생성될 수 있다. 단계(813)에 대한 구체적인 설명은 앞서 도 6과 함께 설명된 인코더(630)에 대한 설명이 적용될 수 있을 것이다. 단말기는 단계(814)과 같이 프리앰블 및 적어도 하나의 메시지가 인코딩된 시퀀스를 기지국으로 전송하여 임의접속 절차를 위한 첫 번째 단계를 완료할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 상기 전송은 물리적 임의접속 채널을 이용하여 수행될 수 있다.
다만 도 8b을 참조하면, 다른 일실시예에 따른 단말기가 기지국에 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 통신 방법의 흐름도가 도시된다. 상기 통신 방법은 도 8a의 실시예와 비교할 때, 몇 가지 부가적으로 수행 가능한 단계들을 포함할 수 있다. 단말기는 단계(821)을 선택적으로 수행할 수 있다. 단계(821)에서 단말기는 종래의 임의접속 방법에 상응하는 프리앰블 전송 모드 및 프리앰블 및 메시지를 동시에 전송하는 메시지 전송 모드 중 어느 하나를 선택할 수 있다. 메시지 전송 모드가 선택된 경우에 수행되는 단계(822, 823, 824)에는 앞서 기재된 단계(811, 812, 813)에 관한 설명이 적용될 수 있다.
다만, 단계(821)에서 프리앰블 전송 모드가 선택된 경우에는 프리앰블 인덱스를 결정하는 단계(826) 및 프리앰블을 인코딩하는 단계(827)가 수행된다. 단계(823) 및 단계(834)와 비교할 때, 메시지 인덱스를 결정하는 단계와 메시지를 인코딩하는 단계가 수행되지 않는다는 점에서 차이점이 존재한다.
도 9는 다른 일실시예에 따른 단말기를 도시하는 블록도이다. 단말기(900)는 프로세서를 포함하며, 기지국과 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 단말기일 수 있다. 더하여, 단말기(900)는 상기 프로세서에 의해 일시적으로 구현되는 형태일 수 있다. 단말기(900)는 판단부(910) 및 제어부(920)를 포함할 수 있다.
판단부(910)는 전송된 시퀀스에 대응하는 임의접속 응답 메시지의 수신 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 상기 전송된 시퀀스는 프리앰블 및 적어도 하나의 메시지를 포함할 수 있다. 더하여, 상기 전송된 시퀀스는 물리적 임의접속 채널의 리소스를 이용하여 단말기(900)에서 기지국으로 전송된 시퀀스일 수 있다. 일실시예로서, 판단부(910)는 시퀀스가 최초 전송된 시점으로부터 기설정된 제1 시간 간격만큼 임의접속 응답 메시지의 수신 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 그에 따라, 판단부(910)는 상기 제1 시간 간격 이후에도 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신되지 않는 경우에는, 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지의 수신 실패를 판단할 수 있다.
제어부(920)는 판단부(910)의 판단의 결과에 따라 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신되지 않은 경우에, 기설정된 제2 시간 간격에 대응하는 백 오프(back off)를 수행할 수 있다. 단말기(900)는 임의접속 응답 메시지에 수신 실패가 확인된 경우에, 백 오프를 수행하여 새로운 임의접속 절차의 시작을 지연시킬 수 있다. 따라서, 현재 기지국과 임의접속 절차 또는 그를 이용한 데이터 송수신이 진행 중인 다른 단말기는 보다 여유로운 통신 환경에서 자신의 데이터 송수신을 완료할 수 있다.
반면, 판단부(910)가 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지의 수신 성공을 판단한 경우에, 제어부(920)는 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 업링크 자원을 이용하여 추가 메시지를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 일실시예로서, 상기 추가 메시지는 스케쥴링 요청 메시지일 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 판단부(910)는 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되어 있는 프리앰블 식별자를 통해서 단말기(900)에 대응하는 임의응답 메시지를 찾고, 상기 업링크 자원에 대한 정보를 확인할 수 있다. 더하여, 판단부(910)는 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지의 수신 성공과 함께, 전송된 시퀀스에 포함되는 메시지를 기지국이 성공적으로 디코딩하였음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 10은 일실시예에 따른 기지국을 도시하는 블록도이다. 일실시예에 따른 기지국(1000)은 적어도 하나의 프로세서를 포함할 수 있다. 기지국(1000)은 적어도 하나의 프로세서에 의해 적어도 일시적으로 구현될 수 있다.
기지국(1000)은 연산부(1010), 검출부(1020) 및 디코더(1030)을 포함할 수 있다. 연산부(1010)는 수신된 시퀀스에 기초하여 제1 상관 값부터 제(N+1) 상관 값 까지를 계산할 수 있다. 기지국(1000)이 수신한 시퀀스에 연관되는 신호는 아래 수학식 7과 같이 나타낼 수 있다.
hj는 j 번째 multipath에 대응하는 채널 계수, tj는 j 번째 multipath에 대응하는 지연 이동을 나타낸다. K는 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 각각을 원소로 하는 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 집합 을 나타낸다. W[n]는 0을 평균으로 하고, σ2를 분산으로 하는 노이즈 신호를 나타낸다.
연산부(1010)는 Yr,K[n]과 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r과 연관되는 제1 자도프 추 시퀀스의 상관 값(correlation)을 계산할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 연산부(1010)는 아래 수학식 8을 이용하여 프리앰블 인덱스에 연관되는 제1 상관 값을 계산할 수 있다.
수학식 8을 참조하면, 프리앰블에 연관되는 피크 값을 갖게 되는 시퀀스의 위치 번호는 NCS×i + tj으로 계산될 수 있다. 검출부(1020)는 상기 위치 번호가 몇 번째 프리앰블 검출 영역에 포함되어 있는 지를 판단하고, 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 계산할 수 있다. 예시적으로, 상기 수학식 8에 기재된 것과 같이 프리앰블 인덱스 i는 검출 영역에 대응하는 이상 이하 영역 내에서 검출될 수 있다.
더하여, 연산부(1010)는 메시지 인덱스 함수 집합 K를 이용하여, 프리앰블 인덱스 i에 따라 결정되는 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스를 계산할 수 있다. 더하여, 연산부(1010)는 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 상관 값을 계산할 수 있다.
예시적으로, 연산부(1010)는 제1 메시지에 연관되는 피크 값을 갖게 되는 시퀀스의 위치 번호를 계산하기 위해 Yr,K[n]과 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스 k1와 연관되는 제2 자도프 추 시퀀스의 제2 상관 값을 계산할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 연산부(1010)는 아래 수학식 9를 통해 제2 상관 값을 구할 수 있다.
수학식 9를 참조하면, 제1 메시지에 연관되는 피크 값을 갖게 되는 시퀀스의 위치 번호는 으로 계산될 수 있다. 검출부(1020)는 상기 프리앰블에 연관되는 위치 번호와 제1 메시지에 연관되는 위치 번호의 차이를 계산하여서 제1 메시지 인덱스를 구할 수 있다. 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각을 검출하는 과정에 대한 설명은 아래의 추가적인 도면과 함께 설명될 것이다.
디코더(1030)는 검출부(1020)를 통하여 검출된 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 및 프리앰블 인덱스를 이용하여 단말기가 상기 임의접속 절차를 통해 전송한 메시지를 디코딩할 수 있다. 상기 메시지는 QoS(Quality of Service) 정보, 스케쥴링 요청 정보(Scheduling request information) 및 단말기 식별자 정보(User Equipment Identification Information) 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
만약, 제1 메시지에 연관되는 피크 값의 크기가 임계치 미만인 경우에, 디코더(1030)는 종래의 임의접속 방식과 같이, 상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 프리앰블만을 디코딩할 수 있다.
더하여, 디코더(1030)는 상기 디코딩된 메시지에서 미리 지정된 프리픽스 비트를 식별하여, 상기 프리픽스 비트에 따라 상기 단말기의 동작 모드를 판단할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 디코더(1030)는 임의접속 자원을 이용하여 후속 메시지를 전송하는 제1 모드, 단일 프레임을 통하여 상기 메시지를 전송하고 상기 전송을 끝내는 제2 모드 및 추가적인 프레임을 통하여 상기 후속 메시지를 전송하는 제3 모드 중 적어도 하나를 상기 동작 모드로서 판단할 수 있다.
단말기의 동작 모드가 상기 제1 모드인 경우, 상기 디코딩되는 메시지는 상기 후속 메시지를 전송하도록 하는 리소스 블록 크기 정보를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 동작 모드가 상기 제3 모드인 경우, 디코더(1030)는 상기 메시지가 상기 단말기가 전송하는 전체 메시지의 일부라고 판단하고, 상기 추가적인 프레임에서 디코딩되는 후속 메시지를 병합할 수 있다.
도 11은 일실시예에 따른 메시지 인덱스를 검출하는 과정을 도시하는 그래프이다. x축은 상관 값의 위치 번호를 나타내고 y축은 상관 값의 크기를 나타낸다. 도 11의 실시예에서는, 단말기가 임의접속 절차를 통해 프리앰블과 제1 메시지를 인코딩한 시퀀스를 기지국으로 전송된 경우를 설명한다. 다만, 앞서 기재한 설명과 같이, 단말기는 통신 방식에 상응하는 메시지 크기에 따라 적어도 하나의 메시지를 프리앰블과 함께 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다.
도 11을 참조하면, 1110은 프리앰블에 연관되는 피크 값을 나타낸다.
기지국은 수학식 7을 이용하여 Yr,K[n]과 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r과 연관되는 제1 자도프 추 시퀀스의 상관 값(correlation)을 계산할 수 있다. 기지국은 계산된 제1 자도프 추 시퀀스의 상관 값을 이용하여 프리앰블에 연관되는 피크 값(1110)의 위치 번호(1130)를 계산할 수 있다.
앞서 설명된 수학식 8을 참조하면, 프리앰블에 연관되는 피크 값(1110)이 갖게 되는 위치 번호(1130)는 NCS×i + tj으로 계산될 수 있다. 기지국은 1110에 대응하는 위치 번호가 몇 번째 프리앰블 검출 영역에 포함되어 있는 지를 판단하고, 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 계산할 수 있다. 예시적으로 프리앰블 인덱스 i는 상기 수학식 8에 기재된 것과 같이 검출 영역에 대응하는 이상 이하 영역 내에서 검출될 수 있다.
더하여, 제1 메시지 루트 함수 k1=f1(i)에 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 대입하여 상기 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r과는 상이한 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스 k1를 계산할 수 있다. 앞서 기재한 바와 같이 기지국이 단말기로부터 수신된 프리앰블과 적어도 하나의 메시지를 동시에 디코딩하기 위해서, 자도프 추 시퀀스가 갖는 cross-correlation 성질이 이용될 것이다. 따라서, 기지국은 프리앰블 루트 인덱스와 상이한 메시지 루트 인덱스를 설정하고, 계산할 필요성이 존재한다.
1120는 제1 메시지에 연관되는 피크 값을 나타낸다. 기지국은 제1 메시지에 연관되는 피크 값(1120)를 갖게 되는 위치 번호(1140)를 검출하기 위해 Yr,K[n]과 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스 k1와 연관되는 제2 자도프 추 시퀀스의 제2 상관 값을 수학식 9를 이용하여 계산할 수 있다.
수학식 9를 참조하면, 제1 메시지에 연관되는 피크 값(1120)을 갖게 되는 위치 번호(1140)는 으로 계산될 수 있다. 기지국은 위치 번호(1130)과 위치 번호(1140)의 차이를 계산하여서 제1 메시지 인덱스 (1150)를 구할 수 있다. 경우에 따라 제1 메시지 인덱스 을 구하는 것은 수학식 10을 통해 구할 수 있다.

, 제2 메시지 인덱스 및 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 검출할 수 있다. 일실시예로서 LTE 표준에 따라 NPA=64, NZC=839이고 N=2인 경우에 전송 가능한 메시지 비트는 24 비트로 가정하고 설명한다. 기지국은 수신된 시퀀스로부터 제1 메시지 인덱스 =136, 제2 메시지 인덱스 =199, 프리앰블 인덱스 i=24인 것을 검출할 수 있다. 제1 메시지 인덱스 =136에 대응하는 비트의 이진수 값, 제1 비트열(1210)은 010001000이 된다. 제2 메시지 인덱스 =199에 대응하는 비트의 이진수 값, 제2 비트열(1220)은 011000111이 된다. 더하여, 프리앰블 인덱스 i=24에 대응하는 비트의 이진수 값, 제3 비트열(1230)은 011000이 된다. 앞서 구한 비트열(1210, 1220, 1230)들을 배열하면 기지국은 010001000011000111011000의 메시지 비트를 디코딩할 수 있다. 상기 메시지 비트를 통해 기지국은 프리픽스, 단말기 식별자 및 desired message을 포함하는 메시지 정보를 획득할 수 있다.
도 13은 다른 일실시예에 따른 기지국을 도시하는 블록도이다. 기지국(1300)은 프로세서를 포함할 수 있고, 단말기와 임의접속을 수행한다. 더하여, 기지국(1300)은 프로세서에 의해 적어도 일시적으로 구현될 수 있다.
기지국(1300)은 연산부(1310), 판단부(1320) 및 디코더(1330)를 포함할 수 있다. 연산부(1310)는 단말기로부터 수신된 시퀀스와 프리앰블에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 수신된 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 연산할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 연산부(1310)는 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r에 연관되는 제1 자도프 추 시퀀스와 수신된 시퀀스의 상관 값을 계산하여 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 연산할 수 있다. 연산부(1310)는 상기 상관 값의 위치 번호가 몇 번째 프리앰블 검출 영역에 존재하는지 여부를 판단하고, 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 연산할 수 있다.
더하여, 연산부(1310)는 메시지 인덱스 함수를 이용하여, 프리앰블 인덱스 i에 따라 결정되는 메시지 루트 인덱스 k를 계산할 수 있다. 임의접속 방법에 있어서, 단말기가 프리앰블과 메시지를 동시에 전송하도록 사전에 약속된 통신 방식을 수행하는 경우에 기지국은 메시지 인덱스가 검출되는 개수를 이용하여 복수의 단말기들이 사용한 프리앰블의 충돌 여부를 임의접속 첫 번째 단계에서 판단할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 판단부(1320)는 프리앰블 인덱스 i에 의해 결정되는 메시지 루트 인덱스 k에 연관되는 제2 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 프리앰블의 충돌 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 본 실시예에 따를 때, 기지국은 임의접속 사전 정보로서 프리앰블 인덱스 i에 대응하는 메시지 루트 인덱스 k의 정보를 단말기로 미리 전송할 수 있다.
판단부(1320)는 수신된 시퀀스와 메시지 루트 인덱스 k에 연관되는 제2 자도프 추 시퀀스의 상관 값을 연산할 수 있다. 더하여, 판단부(1320)는 기설정된 임계치를 초과하는 상관 값의 피크가 두 개 이상인 경우에 복수의 단말기 간의 프리앰블의 충돌을 판단할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 판단부(1320)는 임계치를 초과하는 상관 값의 피크가 존재하는 위치 번호가 적어도 두 개 이상의 메시지 인덱스에 대응하는 영역에서 검출된 경우에는, 프리앰블 충돌을 판단할 수 있다. 프리앰블 충돌이 판단된 경우, 기지국(1300)은 단말기로 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송하지 않음으로써 해당 임의접속 절차를 종료할 수 있다. 단말기는 자신이 전송한 시퀀스에 상응하는 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신되지 않은 것을 확인하여, 전송한 프리앰블에 충돌이 발생하였다는 것을 판단할 수 있다.
앞서 기재한 바와 같이, 프리앰블 인덱스 또는 메시지 인덱스를 검출하는 방식은 상관 값의 피크가 검출된 위치 번호가 존재하는 영역을 이용하여 판단한다. 다만, 프리앰블 인덱스의 경우에는 각각의 프리앰블 인덱스 하나에 대응하는 영역이 충분히 크기 못해, 기지국은 동일한 단말기의 멀티 패스로 인한 복수의 피크가 검출된 것인지 복수의 단말기의 프리앰블이 충돌된 상황인지 결정하는 것이 불가능했다. 다만, 본 발명이 제시하는 실시예를 이용하는 경우에는, 프리앰블에 연관되는 피크 값이 검출되는 영역보다 넓은 영역을 가질 수 있는 메시지 인덱스를 검출하는 것으로 보다 정확하게 현재 동일한 프리앰블을 전송한 단말기의 개수를 검출할 수 있는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
다만, 판단부(1320)의 판단 결과에 따라 프리앰블이 충돌 되지 않는 경우에, 연산부(1310)는 수신된 시퀀스와 메시지 루트 인덱스에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 메시지 인덱스를 연산할 수 있다. 위 동작에는 앞서 기재한 연산부(1010) 및 검출부(1020)에 관한 설명이 적용될 수 있다.
디코더(1330)는 연산부(1310)에 의해 연산된 프리앰블 인덱스 i 및 메시지 인덱스 l 을 이용하여 상기 단말기가 임의접속 절차를 통해 전송한 메시지를 디코딩할 수 있다. 마찬가지로, 디코더(1330)의 동작에는 앞서 기재한 디코더(1030)에 관한 설명이 적용될 수 있을 것이다.
도 14a 및 도 14b는 일실시예에 따른 프리앰블 충돌을 검출하는 과정을 도시하는 그래프이다. 그래프의 X 축은 상관 값의 위치 번호를 나타내고, Y 축은 계산된 상관 값의 크기를 나타낸다. 본 실시예에서는, 예시적으로 서로 다른 세 개의 단말기가 동일한 프리앰블 인덱스를 이용하여 기지국으로 임의접속을 시도해 프리앰블 충돌이 발생한 경우를 가정할 수 있다.
기지국은 수신된 시퀀스와 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스 사이의 제1 상관 값을 계산할 수 있다. 기지국은 앞서 기재한 수학식 8을 이용하여 상기 제1 상관 값을 계산할 수 있다. 더하여, 기지국은 기설정된 임계치(1410)이상의 상관 값을 갖는 위치 번호를 피크 값을 갖는 위치 번호로서 검출할 수 있다. 본 실시예에 따를 때, 기지국은 세 개의 피크(1421, 1422, 1423)에 대응하는 위치 번호를 검출할 수 있다. 더하여, 기지국은 상기 세 개의 피크(1421, 1422, 1423)에 위치 번호가 존재하는 영역을 판단할 수 있다. 본 실시예에 따를 때, 제1 프리앰블 인덱스 0에 대응하는 제1 영역(1431)에서부터 제9 프리앰블 인덱스 8에 대응하는 제9 영역(1439)와 같이 9 개의 영역(1431, 1432, 1433, 1434, 1435, 1436, 1437, 1438, 1439)이 도시된다. 도 14a를 참조하면, 기지국은 세 개의 피크(1421, 1422, 1423)에 대응하는 위치 번호가 제4 프리앰블 인덱스 3에 대응하는 제4 영역(1434)에 존재한다는 것을 판단할 수 있다. 다만, 기지국은 세 개의 피크(1421, 1422, 1423)가 동일한 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 영역에서 검출된 사실 만으로는 프리앰블의 충돌 여부를 확인할 수 없을 것이다. 동일한 단말기가 멀티 패스를 겪은 경우 등과 같이 하나의 단말기가 전송한 시퀀스에 의해 복수의 피크가 생성될 수 있기 때문이다. 따라서, 기지국은 검출된 프리앰블 인덱스 3을 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수에 대입하여, 상응하는 메시지 루트 인덱스를 계산할 수 있다.
예시적으로, 본 실시예에서는 f(3)=5로 정의 되어, 계산된 메시지 루트 인덱스가 5로 도출된 경우를 가정하자. 기지국은 계산된 메시지 루트 인덱스 5를 이용하여 수신된 시퀀스와 메시지 루트 인덱스 5에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 제2 상관 값을 계산할 수 있다. 기지국은 앞서 기재한 수학식 9를 이용하여 상기 제2 상관 값을 계산할 수 있다. 기지국은 전체 자도프 추 시퀀스에 대응하는 영역에서 제2 상관 값의 피크 개수를 판단할 수 있다. 도 14a에서 설명된 것과 같이, 기지국은 기설정된 임계치(1410)이상의 상관 값을 갖는 위치 번호를 피크 값을 갖는 위치 번호로서 검출할 수 있다. 기지국은 메시지 인덱스에 대응하는 피크로서 세 개의 피크(1441, 1442, 1443)를 검출할 수 있다. 그에 따라, 기지국은 현재 프리앰블 인덱스 3이 세 개의 단말기에 의하여 충돌되었음을 검출할 수 있다. 기지국은 세 개의 단말기에 대해 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송하지 않고, 그래도 해당 임의접속 절차를 종료할 수 있다.
도 15는 일실시예에 따른 임의접속 절차에서 단말기로부터 전송된 시퀀스를 이용하여 기지국이 프리앰블 충돌을 검출하는 방법(1500)의 흐름도이다. 단계(1501)는 기지국이 단말기로부터 시퀀스를 수신하는 단계이다. 일실시예로서 단계(1501)에서 기지국은 복수의 단말기로부터 동시에 시퀀스를 수신할 수 있다.
단계(1502)는 수신된 시퀀스와 프리앰블에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 프리앰블에 대응하는 상관 값을 연산하는 단계이다. 일실시예로서 단계(1502)는 기지국(1300)의 연산부(1310)에 의해 수행될 수 있다. 예시적으로 단계(1502)는 수학식 8을 이용하여 수행될 수 있다. 더하여, 단계(1501)에서 기지국이 복수의 단말기로부터 시퀀스를 수신한 경우라도, 복수의 단말기들은 동일한 프리앰블 루트 인덱스를 사용하기 때문에 기지국은 하나의 프리앰블에 대응하는 상관 값을 연산할 수 있다.
단계(1503)는 프리앰블 인덱스를 검출하는 단계이다. 단계(1503)에서 기지국은 프리앰블에 대응하는 상관 값의 피크 위치를 검출하고 피크 위치에 대응하는 위치 번호를 검출한다. 수학식 8을 참조하면 상기 위치 번호는 NCS×i + tj로 계산될 수 있다. 단계(1503)에서 기지국은, 프리앰블에 대응하는 상관 값의 피크에 대응하는 위치 번호가 몇 번째 프리앰블 검출 영역에 포함되어 있는 지를 판단하고, 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 계산할 수 있다. 예시적으로 프리앰블 인덱스 i는 상기 수학식 8에 기재된 것과 같이 검출 영역에 대응하는 이상 이하 영역 내에서 검출될 수 있다. 단계(1503)에서 기지국은 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 검출할 수 있다.
단계(1504)는 기지국에 의해 메시지 루트 인덱스 k가 계산되는 단계이다. 보다 구체적으로, 단계(1504)에서 기지국은 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수를 이용하여 검출된 프리앰블 인덱스 i에 대응하는 메시지 루트 인덱스 k를 계산할 수 있다. 일실시예로서 단계(1504)는 기지국(1300)의 연산부(1310)에 의해 수행될 수 있다.
다른 일실시예로서 기지국은 적어도 하나 이상의 단말기와 동시에 임의접속하는 경우에, 기지국은 복수의 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 집합을 설정할 수 있다. 예시적으로 송수신되는 메시지가 보안상의 이유로 종래의 통신 방법으로의 디코딩을 방지하여야 할 필요가 있는 경우에 상기 실시예의 필요성이 존재할 수 있다. 임의접속 절차 수행에 앞서, 기지국은 특정 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 집합을 특정 단말기에 매칭하고 상기 특정 단말기로 전송할 수 있다. 단계(1504)에서 기지국은 특정 단말기에 대응하는 특정 메시지 루트 인덱스 집합을 연산할 수 있다.
단계(1505)는 수신된 시퀀스와 메시지 루트 인덱스 k에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 상관 값을 연산하는 단계이다. 단계(1505)는 앞서 기재한 수학식 9를 이용하여 수행될 수 있다.
다른 일실시예로서, 단계(1505)에서 기지국이 복수의 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 집합을 설정한 경우에, 특정 메시지 루트 인덱스 집합의 각각의 메시지 루트 인덱스에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 연산할 수 있다. 예시적으로 메시지 루트 인덱스 집합의 원소의 개수가 N개 인 경우에, 단계(1505)에서 기지국은 제1 메시지 루트 인덱스에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스에서부터 제N 메시지 루트 인덱스에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스까지를 연산할 수 있다. 더하여, 상기 자도프 추 시퀀스 각각에 대응하는 상관 값을 연산할 수 있다.
단계(1506)에서 기지국은 상기 메시지 루트 인덱스 k에 대응하는 상관 값의 피크와 미리 지정된 임계치를 비교하고, 상기 임계치를 초과하는 상관 값의 피크의 개수가 적어도 2 개 이상인지 판단할 수 있다.
단계(1506)에서 상기 임계치를 초과하는 상관 값의 피크 개수가 1 개를 초과하는 경우에, 기지국은 단계(1507)에서 복수의 단말기 사이의 프리앰블 충돌을 인지하고, 해당 임의접속 절차를 종료할 수 있다.
다만, 단계(1506)에서 상기 임계치를 초과하는 상관 값의 피크 개수가 1개로 판단된 경우에, 기지국은 프리앰블 충돌이 발생하지 않았다는 것을 판단할 수 있다. 그에 따라 기지국은 프리앰블 및 적어도 하나의 메시지를 디코딩하는 단계(1508) 및 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송하는 단계(1509)를 진행할 수 있다.
도 16은 일실시예에 따른 검출된 메시지 인덱스를 이용하여 접속 로드를 제어하는 기지국의 통신 방법을 도시하는 흐름도이다. 기지국의 통신 방법(1600)은 수신된 복수의 시퀀스에서 프리앰블 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 단계(1610), 상기 검출된 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스의 개수에 상응하는 접속 로드를 계산하는 단계(1620) 및 기설정된 임계치와 상기 접속 로드를 비교하여 상기 비교 결과에 따라 물리적 임의접속 채널의 접속 주기를 제어하는 단계(1630)를 포함할 수 있다.
단계(1610)에서 기지국은 임의접속 절차에 이용되는 프리앰블 인덱스 각각을 이용하여 대응하는 메시지 루트 인덱스를 계산할 수 있다. 더하여, 단계(1610)에서 기지국은 메시지 루트 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 복수의 단말기로부터 수신된 메시지 인덱스의 개수를 검출할 수 있다.
단계(1620)에서 기지국은 어느 하나의 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 메시지 인덱스의 개수를 계산하고, 계산된 결과를 저장할 수 있다. 더하여, 기지국은 현재의 임의접속 절차에서 평균적으로 검출되는 메시지 인덱스의 개수를 계산할 수 있다. 상기 메시지 인덱스의 개수를 이용하여, 기지국은 현재 임의접속 절차에 대응하는 접속 로드를 판단할 수 있다.
단계(1630)에서 기지국은 기설정된 임계치와 상기 접속 로드를 비교하여 상기 비교 결과에 따라 물리적 임의접속 채널의 접속 주기를 제어할 수 있다. 단계(1630)는 상기 임계치 보다 상기 접속 로드가 작은 경우에 상기 접속 주기에 대응하는 TRACH를 더 크게 설정하고, 상기 임계치 보다 상기 접속 로드가 큰 경우에는 상기 접속 주기에 대응하는 TRACH를 더 작게 설정하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다. 단계(1630)에 따라 새로운 TRACH가 설정된 경우에, 기지국은 각각의 단말기들에게 해당 내용을 임의접속 사전 정보로서 방송해줄 수 있다.
도 17은 일실시예에 따른 단말기와 기지국의 임의접속 절차를 도시하는 흐름도이다.
단계(1710)에서 단말기는 물리적 임의접속 채널(PRACH: Physical Random Access Channel)을 이용하여 프리앰블 뿐만 아니고, 메시지를 함께 인코딩하여 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 단말기는 기지국으로 프리앰블 및 메시지를 포함하는 전송 시퀀스를 전송할 수 있다. 단말기는 기지국과의 미리 지정된 통신 방식에 상응하는 임의의 프리앰블을 선택하여 사용할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 자도프 추(Zadoff Chu) 시퀀스의 길이 NZC와 프리앰블 순환이동의 크기(cyclic shifting size) Ncs가 주어진 경우에, 단말기가 기지국으로 전송 가능한 프리앰블 시퀀스의 개수 NPA는 상기 수학식 1에 따라 결정될 수 있다.
일실시예에 따르면, 전체 이용 가능한 NPA 개의 프리앰블에서 임의의 자연수 K 개는 고정된 단말기(fixed terminal)가 이용하도록 미리 지정될 수 있다. 또한, 전체 이용 가능한 NPA 개의 프리앰블에서 임의의 자연수 L 개는 이동식 단말기(mobile terminal)가 이용하도록 미리 지정될 수 있다.
다른 일실시예에 따르면, 단계(1710)에서 단말기 중 고정된 단말기는 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 rfix를 이용하여 생성된 프리앰블을 인코딩하여 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 또한, 단계(1710)에서 단말기 중 이동식 단말기는 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 rmob를 이용하여 생성된 프리앰블을 인코딩하여 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다.
임의접속 과정에서 이용되는 자도프 추 시퀀스의 성질과 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r 및 프리앰블 인덱스 i의 관계는 기술 분야에 속하는 통상의 기술자에게는 straight forward한 내용에 해당되므로 자세한 설명은 생략하기로 한다.
더하여, 단계(1710)에서 단말기는 물리적 임의접속 채널을 통하여 메시지를 전송하기 위한 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 집합
을 설정할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 단말기는 프리앰블 인덱스 i로 정의되는 메시지 루트 인덱스 집합을 설정할 수 있다. 또한, 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 r과 메시지 루트 인덱스 집합의 원소 k는 자도프 추 시퀀스가 갖는 상호상관(cross-correlation)을 이용하기 위해 서로 상이한 값을 갖도록 설정될 수 있다. 이 경우에, 물리적 임의접속 채널(PRACH: Physical Random Access Channel)을 이용하여 전송 가능한 메시지 비트 수는 상기 수학식 2와 같이 결정될 수 있다.
상기 수학식 2에서 자연수 N은 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 집합의 원소의 개수를 나타낼 수 있다. 단말기는 LTE 표준과 같이 지정된 통신 방식에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스 길이보다 증가된 메시지를 전송할 필요가 있는 경우에, 임의접속 채널에 대응하는 복수의 서브 프레임을 이용하여 상기 증가된 메시지를 전송하도록 결정할 수 있다. 예시적으로, 기존 LTE 표준에서는 1ms 서브 프레임을 PRACH의 시간 축 길이로써 Nzc =839길이의 자도프 추 시퀀스를 전송하였다. 이 경우에 늘어난 길이(Nzc >839)의 자도프 추 시퀀스를 전송하기 위해서는 PRACH의 시간 축 길이를 다수의 서브 프레임을 이용해 구성할 수 있다.
예시적으로, 그러나 한정되지 않게 N이 1이라고 가정한 경우에, 전송 시퀀스의 제1 비트열에 상응하는 비트는 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 나타낼 수 있다. 또한, 전송 시퀀스의 제2 비트열에 상응하는 비트는 메시지 인덱스 를 나타낼 수 있다.
일실시예에 따르면, 프리앰블 인덱스 i를 이용하여 고정된 단말기 및 이동식 단말기가 식별되는 경우에는, 단계(1710)에서 단말기가 전송 시퀀스 내에서 메시지 인덱스 에 대응하는 비트를 이용하여 메시지를 전송할 수 있다.
다른 일실시예에 따르면, 고정된 단말기는 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 rfix를 이용하고 이동식 단말기는 프리앰블 루트 인덱스 rmob를 이용하는 경우에, 단계(1710)에서 단말기는 전송 시퀀스 내에서 프리앰블 인덱스 i 및 메시지 인덱스 에 대응하는 전체의 +비트를 이용하여 메시지를 전송할 수 있다.
단계(1720)에서 기지국은 수신된 시퀀스를 이용하여 프리앰블 인덱스를 검출할 수 있다. 더하여, 기지국은 수신된 시퀀스를 이용하여 메시지 인덱스를 추가적으로 검출할 수 있다.
단계(1720)에서 기지국은 디코딩된 프리앰블 인덱스를 이용하여 상기 프리앰블에 연관되는 단말기가 고정된 단말기인지 또는 이동식 단말기인지 여부를 식별할 수 있다.
또한, 단계(1720)에서 기지국은 상기 검출된 메시지 인덱스의 개수를 이용하여 프리앰블의 충돌(collision) 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 기지국은 검출된 메시지 인덱스의 개수가 복수 개인 경우에, 복수 개의 단말기가 동일한 프리앰블을 사용한 것을 판단하여 프리앰블의 충돌을 검출할 수 있다.
식별된 단말기의 종류와 프리앰블의 충돌 여부에 기초하여, 단계(1730)에서 기지국은 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하고, 생성된 임의접속 응답 메시지를 단말기로 전송할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 임의접속 응답 메시지는 검출된 프리앰블 인덱스, 시간정렬정보(TA: Time Alignment) 및 업링크 자원 정보(Uplink Resource Grant) 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
단계(1740)에서 단말기는 기지국으로부터 할당된 PUSCH(Physical Uplink Shared Channel)을 이용하여 데이터를 전송할 수 있다. 단계(1750)에서 기지국은 단말기로부터 desired message 및 단말기 식별자를 포함하는 데이터를 수신할 수 있다. 더하여, 기지국은 상기 데이터에 대한 ACK을 단말기로 전송할 수 있다. 상기 전송은 PDSCH(Physical Downlink Shared Channel)을 통해 수행될 수 있다. 또한, 단계(1750)에서 기지국은 단말기로 경합 해결(contention resolution) 메시지를 전송할 수 있다.
본 실시예에 따를 때, 단말기가 전송한 프리앰블에 대하여 동일한 프리앰블이 수신되어 충돌이 발생한 경우에도 기지국은 단말기로 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 기지국은 자신의 시간정렬정보를 알고 있는 고정된 단말기들 서로가 충돌된 경우에는 상기 고정된 단말기들을 페어링(pairing)하고, 동일한 업링크 자원을 할당할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 고정된 단말기들은 서로 다른 두 개의 고정된 단말기를 나타낼 수 있다. 이와 같은 경우에, 프리앰블 충돌의 경우에도 업링크 자원을 공유하여 데이터 전송을 시도할 수 있어 보다 효율적으로 통신 자원을 이용 가능한 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 기지국의 동작에 관한 보다 자세한 설명은 아래에서 추가되는 도면과 함께 보다 자세히 설명될 것이다.

단계(1830)에서 수신된 전송 시퀀스에 포함되는 프리앰블이 더블 액세스 프리앰블이라는 것이 판단된 경우에, 기지국은 단계(1840)를 수행할 수 있다. 단계(1840)에서 기지국은 제1 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하고, 상기 단말기로 생성된 제1 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송할 수 있다. 기지국은 동일한 프리앰블 인덱스를 전송한 두 개의 고정된 단말기를 페어링(pairing)하고, 두 개의 고정된 단말기 각각으로 제1 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송할 수 있다. 제1 임의접속 응답 메시지는 검출된 프리앰블 인덱스 및 업링크 자원의 위치 정보를 포함할 수 있다. 더하여, 제1 임의접속 응답 메시지는 수신된 두 개의 더블 액세스 프리앰블의 시간정렬정보 중 더 작은 값에 대응하는 시간정렬정보를 포함할 수 있다. 다시 말하여, 기지국은 자신과 가까운 고정된 단말기에 연관되는 시간정렬정보를 제1 임의접속 응답 메시지에 인코딩하고, 두 개의 고정된 단말기에 생성된 제1 임의접속 응답 메시지를 전송할 수 있다.
위치가 고정된 단말기는 기지국까지의 거리 또한 고정될 수 있다. 그에 따라 고정된 단말기 각각은 자신의 시간정렬정보를 미리 알 수 있고, 수신된 제1 임의접속 응답 메시지를 이용하여 자신이 전송한 프리앰블에 충돌이 존재하는지 여부와 자신이 전송한 프리앰블이 더블 액세스 프리앰블인지 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 본 실시예에 따를 때, 서로 다른 두 개의 고정된 단말기가 동일한 프리앰블을 전송하여 프리앰블의 충돌이 발생한 경우에도 임의접속 절차를 지속적으로 수행할 수 있다.

단계(1850)에서 수신된 전송 시퀀스에 포함되는 프리앰블이 싱글 액세스 프리앰블이 아닌 것으로 판단된 경우에 기지국은 백 오프를 수행하고 다음 임의접속 절차를 새롭게 진행할 수 있다. 다시 말하여 고정된 단말기로부터 적어도 세 개의 동일한 프리앰블이 수신된 경우에, 기지국은 백 오프를 수행하고 다음 임의접속 절차를 새롭게 실행할 수 있다. 또한 이동식 단말기로부터 적어도 두 개의 동일한 프리앰블이 수신된 경우에, 기지국은 백 오프를 수행하고 다음 임의접속 절차를 새롭게 실행할 수 있다.
다만, 단계(1850)에서 수신된 전송 시퀀스에 포함되는 프리앰블이 싱글 액세스 프리앰블로 판단된 경우에, 기지국은 단계(1860)를 수행할 수 있다. 단계(1860)에서 기지국은 서로 다른 싱글 액세스 프리앰블을 전송한 각각의 단말기들을 그룹핑할 수 있다.
단계(1870)에서 기지국은 그룹핑된 각각의 단말기들에게 동일한 업링크 자원을 할당할 수 있다. 예시적으로, 단계(1870)에서 기지국은 제1 단말기가 전송한 싱글 액세스 프리앰블의 인덱스, 제1 단말기의 시간정렬정보 및 공유되는 업링크 자원의 위치 정보를 포함하는 제2 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하고 상기 단말기로 전송할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 서로 다른 M 개의 단말기들이 그룹핑된 경우에, 기지국은 각각의 단말기에 대응하는 서로 다른 M 개의 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성할 수 있다. 각각의 단말기는 자신에게 대응하는 제2 임의접속 응답 메시지를 수신할 수 있다. 다만, 제2 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 상기 업링크 자원은 함께 그룹핑된 다른 단말기들과 공유하여 재사용될 수 있다.
단계(1840)이 수행된 경우 또는 단계(1870)이 수행된 경우에 기지국은 추가적인 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 단계(1880)를 수행할 수 있다. 단계(1880)에서 기지국은 단말기로부터 업링크 자원을 통하여 메시지를 수신할 수 있다. 더하여, 기지국은 수신된 메시지를 순차적 간섭 제거(SIC: Successive Interference Cancelation) 방식을 이용하여 디코딩할 수 있다. 순차적 간섭 제거 기술은 수신된 신호들의 신호 강도의 차이를 이용하여 신호를 처리하는 기술을 나타낸다. 다시 말하여, 기지국은 강한 신호를 디코딩하고, 중첩된 신호로부터 강한 신호를 먼저 추출하고 나머지 신호로부터 약한 신호를 제거하는 방식으로 하나의 업링크 자원을 통하여 전송된 복수의 메시지 각각을 디코딩할 수 있다. 순차적 간섭 제거 기술은 기술 분야에 속하는 전문가에게는 straight forward한 것이므로 자세한 설명은 생략한다.
도 19는 일실시예에 따른 단말기의 임의접속 절차를 도시하는 흐름도이다.

단계(1930)에서 상기 단말기에 연관되는 시간정렬정보가 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되지 않은 것으로 확인된 경우, 단말기는 단계(1960)를 수행할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함된 시간정렬정보는 기지국과 상기 단말기보다 가까운 거리가 존재하는 다른 단말기의 시간정렬정보를 나타낼 수 있다. 단말기는 자신에 연관되는 시간정렬정보가 아닌 다른 시간정렬정보가 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함된 것을 확인하고, 현재 전송된 프리앰블이 더블 액세스 프리앰블인 경우라고 판단할 수 있다. 그에 따라, 단말기는 미리 지정된 기준 파워보다 소정 크기만큼 변화되도록 데이터의 전송 파워를 조절할 수 있다. 앞서 기재한 바와 같이, 단말기가 데이터의 전송 파워를 조절하는 구성에 관한 보다 자세한 설명은 이하에 추가될 도면을 통해 설명될 것이다.

도 20를 참조하면, 단말기(2000)는 판단부(2010)와 제어부(2020)를 포함할 수 있다. 더하여, 단말기(2000)는 적어도 하나의 프로세서를 포함하고, 상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서에 의해서 적어도 일시적으로 구현될 수 있다. 판단부(2010)는 수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지에 단말기(2000)가 기전송한 프리앰블 인덱스가 포함되는지 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 또한, 판단부(2010)는 수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지에 단말기(2000)에 연관되는 시간정렬정보가 포함되는지 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 판단부(2010)의 동작에 관한 설명은 앞서 기재한 단계(1920) 및 단계(1930)에 관한 설명이 그대로 적용될 수 있어 자세한 설명은 생략한다.
제어부(2020)는 판단부(2010)의 판단 결과에 따라, 업링크 자원을 통하여 전송되는 데이터의 전송 파워를 조절할 수 있다. 상기 업링크 자원은 수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 업링크 자원을 나타낼 수 있다.
일실시예에 따르면, 수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지에 단말기(2000)가 전송한 프리앰블 및 단말기(2000)에 연관되는 시간정렬정보가 포함된 것으로 판단된 경우, 제어부(2020)는 미리 지정된 기준 파워를 이용하여 데이터를 기지국으로 전송할 수 있다. 상기 미리 지정된 기준 파워는 LTE 표준에 상응하는 파워 값을 나타낼 수 있다.
다른 일실시예에 따르면, 수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지에 단말기(2000)가 전송한 프리앰블이 포함되나 단말기(2000)에 연관되는 시간정렬정보는 포함되지 않는 것으로 판단된 경우, 제어부(2020)는 미리 지정된 기준 파워보다 소정 크기만큼 변화된 파워를 이용하여 데이터를 전송할 수 있다. 미리 지정된 통신 방식에 상응하는 단말기(2000)의 신호 대 잡음비(SNR: Signal to Noise ratio)를 로 가정하자. 이 경우에, 단말기(2000)의 신호 대 잡음비 는 아래의 수학식 11과 같이 계산될 수 있다.

예시적으로, 제어부(2020)는 단말기(2000)가 전송하는 데이터의 전송 파워를 기준 파워 Pref,A보다 x dB 증가시킬 수 있다. 일실시예에 따르면, x dB는 3 dB로 설정될 수 있다. 단말기(2000)와 동일한 임의접속 응답 메시지를 수신한 다른 단말기가 기준 파워로 메시지를 전송한 경우를 가정하자. 기지국은 순차적 간섭 제거 방식에 따라 우선적으로 단말기(2000)로부터 수신된 메시지를 디코딩할 수 있고, 더하여 기준 파워로 메시지를 전송하여 단말기(2000)보다 전송 파워가 낮은 다른 단말기의의 메시지를 디코딩할 수 있다. 본 실시예에서는 단말기(2000)가 전송하는 데이터의 전송 파워를 기준 파워 Pref,A보다 x dB 증가시키는 실시예가 도시되나 이는 다른 실시예의 범위를 한정하거나 제한하는 것은 아닐 것이다. 순차적 간섭 제거 방식을 이용하기 위해 단말기(2000)가 전송하는 데이터의 전송 파워를 기준 파워 Pref,A보다 x dB 감소시키는 실시예 또한 구현 가능할 것이다.
또 다른 일실시예에 따르면, 수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지에 단말기(2000)가 전송한 프리앰블 및 단말기(2000)에 연관되는 시간정렬정보가 포함되나 단말기(2000)에 할당된 동일한 업링크 자원을 포함하는 다른 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신된 것으로 판단된 경우, 판단부(2010)는 다른 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 각각의 시간정렬정보와 상기 단말기에 연관되는 시간정렬정보를 비교할 수 있다. 제어부(2020)는 단말기(2000)에 연관되는 시간정렬정보보다 큰 값을 갖는 시간정렬정보의 개수를 계산할 수 있다.
본 실시예에 따를 때, 단말기(2000)는 기지국으로 충돌 없는 싱글 액세스 프리앰블을 전송한 경우가 설명될 수 있다. 예시적으로, 단말기(2000)와 동일한 업링크 자원을 할당 받은 제1 단말기 및 제2 단말기가 존재하는 경우를 가정하자. 제1 단말기에 연관되는 제1 시간정렬정보 및 제2 단말기에 연관되는 제2 시간정렬정보가 모두 단말기(2000)의 시간정렬정보보다 크다면, 단말기(2000)는 아래의 수학식 13과 같이 데이터를 전송하기 위한 파워 PA를 조절할 수 있다.
자신의 시간정렬정보가 다른 단말기보다 작은 경우, 단말기(2000)는 자신과 기지국과의 거리가 다른 단말기보다 가깝다는 것을 판단할 수 있다. 그에 따라, 단말기(2000)는 자신의 전송 파워를 높여서 기지국과 가까운 자신의 데이터가 우선적으로 디코딩되도록 전송 파워를 조절할 수 있다. 본 실시예에서 기준 파워보다 2x dB만큼 파워를 증가시킨 실시예가 도시되나 이는 다른 실시예의 범위를 제한하거나 한정하는 것은 아니고, 2x dB만큼 파워를 감소시킨 실시예 또한 구현 가능할 것이다.

판단부(2220)는 프리앰블에 연관되는 인덱스와 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 수신된 횟수를 판단할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 판단부(2220)는 프리앰블 인덱스에 따라 정의되는 메시지 루트 인덱스와 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 수신된 횟수를 판단할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 판단부(2220)는 수신된 시퀀스와 메시지 루트 인덱스에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스의 상관 값을 계산하고, 상기 상관 값의 그래프에서 임계치를 초과하는 피크의 개수에 따라 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 수신된 횟수를 판단할 수 있다.
생성부(2230)는 식별부(2210)의 식별의 결과 및 판단부(2220)의 판단의 결과에 따라 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성할 수 있다.
일실시예에 따르면 상기 단말기가 고정된 단말기로 식별되고 상기 인덱스와 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 두 개 수신된 것으로 판단된 경우에, 생성부(2230)는 상기 인덱스, 업링크 자원의 위치 정보 및 상기 두 개의 프리앰블의 시간정렬정보 중 더 작은 값을 나타내는 시간정렬정보를 포함하는 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성할 수 있다.
다른 일실시예에 따르면 상기 단말기가 고정된 단말기로 식별되고 상기 인덱스와 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 적어도 세 개 이상 수신된 것으로 판단된 경우에, 생성부(2230)는 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하지 않고 백 오프를 수행하고 새로운 임의접속 절차를 시작할 수 있다.
또 다른 일실시예에 따르면 상기 단말기가 이동식 단말기로 식별되고 상기 인덱스와 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 복수 개 수신된 것으로 판단된 경우에, 생성부(2230)는 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하지 않고 백 오프를 수행하고 새로운 임의접속 절차를 시작할 수 있다.

실시예에 따른 방법은 다양한 컴퓨터 수단을 통하여 수행될 수 있는 프로그램 명령 형태로 구현되어 컴퓨터 판독 가능 매체에 기록될 수 있다. 컴퓨터 판독 가능 매체는 프로그램 명령, 데이터 파일, 데이터 구조 등을 단독으로 또는 조합하여 포함할 수 있다. 컴퓨터 판독 가능 매체에 기록되는 프로그램 명령은 실시예를 위하여 특별히 설계되고 구성된 것들이거나 컴퓨터 소프트웨어 당업자에게 공지되어 사용 가능한 것일 수도 있다. 컴퓨터 판독 가능 기록 매체의 예에는 하드 디스크, 플로피 디스크 및 자기 테이프와 같은 자기 매체(magnetic media), CD-ROM, DVD와 같은 광기록 매체(optical media), 플롭티컬 디스크(floptical disk)와 같은 자기-광 매체(magneto-optical media), 및 롬(ROM), 램(RAM), 플래시 메모리 등과 같은 프로그램 명령을 저장하고 수행하도록 특별히 구성된 하드웨어 장치가 포함된다. 프로그램 명령의 예에는 컴파일러에 의해 만들어지는 것과 같은 기계어 코드뿐만 아니라 인터프리터 등을 사용해서 컴퓨터에 의해서 실행될 수 있는 고급 언어 코드를 포함한다. 상기된 하드웨어 장치는 실시예의 동작을 수행하기 위해 하나 이상의 소프트웨어 모듈로서 작동하도록 구성될 수 있으며, 그 역도 마찬가지이다.

Claims (39)
- 프로세서를 포함하며 기지국과 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 단말기에 있어서, 상기 단말기는 상기 프로세서에 의해 적어도 일시적으로 구현되는:상기 기지국과의 지정된 통신 방식에 따라 물리적 임의접속 채널에 상응하는 전송 가능한 메시지 크기를 결정하는 결정부;상기 메시지 크기에 상응하도록 메시지를 설정하고 상기 메시지로부터 프리앰블 인덱스 및 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각을 계산하는 연산부; 및상기 프리앰블 인덱스 및 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각을 인코딩하여 상기 기지국으로 전송하도록 제공하는 인코더를 포함하는 단말기.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 결정부는 상기 지정된 통신 방식에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스 길이, 프리앰블 시퀀스 개수, 및 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수의 개수에 따라 상기 전송 가능한 메시지 크기를 결정하는 단말기.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 연산부는 상기 프리앰블 인덱스를 독립 변수로 하는 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스 함수 각각을 이용하여 프리앰블 루트 인덱스와는 상이한 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스를 계산하는 단말기.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 연산부는 상기 설정된 메시지의 시작 비트에서부터 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 적어도 하나의 메시지 비트열을 반복적으로 추출하고, 상기 남겨진 메시지로부터 프리앰블 비트열을 추출하는 단말기.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 지정된 통신 방식에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스 길이보다 증가된 메시지를 전송하는 경우에, 상기 결정부는 상기 물리적 임의접속 채널에 대응하는 복수의 서브 프레임을 이용하여 상기 증가된 메시지를 전송하도록 결정하는 단말기.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 인코더는 프리앰블 루트 인덱스에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 상수 값만큼 순환 이동한 프리앰블 시퀀스 및 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 상수 값과 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각의 합만큼 순환 이동한 메시지 시퀀스 각각을 생성하여 상기 기지국으로 전송하도록 제공하는 단말기.
- 제1항에 있어서,프리앰블 전송 모드 및 메시지 동시 전송 모드 중에서 어느 하나를 선택하는 선택부를 더 포함하고,상기 선택부가 상기 프리앰블 전송 모드를 선택한 경우, 상기 인코더는 상기 프리앰블 인덱스를 인코딩하고 상기 기지국으로 전송하는 단말기.
- 프로세서를 포함하며 기지국과 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 단말기에 있어서, 상기 단말기는 상기 프로세서에 의해 적어도 일시적으로 구현되는:전송된 시퀀스에 대응하는 임의접속 응답 메시지의 수신 여부를 판단하는 판단부; 및상기 판단의 결과에 따라 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신 되지 않은 경우에, 기설정된 시간 간격에 대응하는 백 오프를 수행하는 제어부를 포함하고,상기 전송된 시퀀스는 프리앰블 및 적어도 하나의 메시지를 포함하는 단말기.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 판단의 결과에 따라 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신된 경우에, 상기 제어부는 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 업링크 자원을 이용하여 추가 메시지를 상기 기지국으로 전송하는 단말기.
- 프로세서를 포함하며 단말기와 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 기지국에 있어서, 상기 기지국은 상기 프로세서에 의해서 적어도 일시적으로 구현되는:상기 단말기로부터 수신된 시퀀스와 프리앰블에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 수신된 프리앰블 인덱스를 연산하는 연산부; 및상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 의해 결정되는 메시지 루트 인덱스에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 상기 프리앰블의 충돌 여부를 판단하는 판단부를 포함하는 기지국.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 판단부는 상기 수신된 시퀀스와 상기 메시지 루트 인덱스에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스의 상관 값을 연산하고, 기설정된 임계치를 초과하는 상기 상관 값의 피크가 두 개 이상인 경우에는 상기 프리앰블의 충돌을 판단하는 기지국.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 프리앰블 인덱스 및 메시지 인덱스를 이용하여 상기 단말기가 상기 임의접속 절차를 통해 전송한 메시지를 디코딩하는 디코더를 더 포함하고,상기 판단의 결과에 따라 상기 프리앰블이 충돌 되지 않은 경우에, 상기 연산부는 상기 수신된 시퀀스와 상기 메시지 루트 인덱스에 연관되는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 상기 메시지 인덱스를 연산하는 기지국.
- 프로세서를 포함하며 단말기와 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 기지국에 있어서, 상기 기지국은 상기 프로세서에 의해서 적어도 일시적으로 구현되는:상기 단말기로부터 수신된 시퀀스를 이용하여 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 상관 값과 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 상관 값을 계산하는 연산부; 및상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 상관 값 및 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 상관 값에 기초하여 프리앰블 인덱스 및 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각을 검출하는 검출부를 포함하는 기지국.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 연산부는 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 함수를 이용하여 상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 따라 결정되는 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스를 계산하고, 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 루트 인덱스에 대응하는 자도프 추 시퀀스를 이용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 상관 값을 계산하는 기지국.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 검출부는 상기 프리앰블 인덱스에 대응하는 상관 값의 피크에 대응하는 위치 번호 및 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스에 대응하는 상관 값 각각의 피크에 대응하는 위치 번호를 비교하여 상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 각각을 검출하는 기지국.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스 및 상기 프리앰블 인덱스를 이용하여 상기 단말기가 상기 임의접속 절차를 통해 전송한 메시지를 디코딩하는 디코더를 더 포함하는 기지국.
- 제16항에 있어서,상기 디코더는 상기 디코딩된 메시지에서 미리 지정된 프리픽스 비트를 식별하여, 상기 프리픽스 비트에 따라 상기 단말기의 동작 모드를 판단하는 기지국.
- 제17항에 있어서,상기 디코더는 임의접속 자원을 이용하여 후속 메시지를 전송하는 제1 모드, 단일 프레임을 통하여 상기 메시지를 전송하고 상기 전송을 끝내는 제2 모드 및 추가적인 프레임을 통하여 상기 후속 메시지를 전송하는 제3 모드 중 적어도 하나를 상기 동작 모드로서 판단하는 기지국.
- 제18항에 있어서,상기 동작 모드가 상기 제1 모드인 경우, 상기 디코딩되는 메시지는 상기 후속 메시지를 전송하도록 하는 리소스 블록 크기 정보를 포함하는 스케쥴링 요청을 포함하는 기지국.
- 제18항에 있어서,상기 동작 모드가 상기 제3 모드인 경우, 상기 디코더는 상기 메시지가 상기 단말기가 전송하는 전체 메시지의 일부라고 판단하고, 상기 추가적인 프레임에서 디코딩되는 후속 메시지를 병합하는 기지국.
- 복수의 단말기와 임의접속 절차를 수행하는 기지국이 접속 로드를 제어하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 방법은:수신된 복수의 시퀀스에서 프리앰블 인덱스 각각에 대응하는 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스를 검출하는 단계;상기 검출된 적어도 하나의 메시지 인덱스의 개수에 상응하는 접속 로드를 계산하는 단계; 및기설정된 임계치와 상기 접속 로드를 비교하여 상기 비교 결과에 따라 물리적 임의접속 채널의 접속 주기를 제어하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서,상기 접속 주기를 제어하는 단계는 상기 임계치 보다 상기 접속 로드가 작은 경우에 상기 접속 주기에 대응하는 TRACH를 더 크게 설정하고, 상기 임계치 보다 상기 접속 로드가 큰 경우에는 상기 접속 주기에 대응하는 TRACH를 더 작게 설정하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 적어도 하나의 프로세서를 포함하고, 상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서에 의해서 적어도 일시적으로 구현되는 단말기에 있어서,수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지(Random Access Response)에 상기 단말기가 전송한 프리앰블 및 상기 단말기에 연관되는 시간정렬정보가 포함되는지 여부를 판단하는 판단부; 및상기 판단의 결과에 따라, 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 업링크 자원(Uplink Resource Grant)을 통하여 전송되는 데이터의 전송 파워를 조절하는 제어부를 포함하는 단말기.
- 제23항에 있어서,상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 상기 프리앰블 및 상기 시간정렬정보가 포함된 것으로 판단된 경우, 상기 제어부는 미리 지정된 기준 파워를 이용하여 상기 데이터를 전송하는 단말기.
- 제23항에 있어서,상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 상기 프리앰블이 포함되고, 상기 시간정렬정보가 포함되지 않는 것으로 판단된 경우, 상기 제어부는 미리 지정된 기준 파워보다 소정 크기만큼 변화된 파워를 이용하여 상기 데이터를 전송하는 단말기.
- 제25항에 있어서,상기 제어부는 상기 미리 지정된 기준 파워를 상기 소정 크기만큼 증가시키거나 또는 감소시킨 상기 변화된 파워를 이용하여 상기 데이터를 전송하는 단말기.
- 적어도 하나의 프로세서를 포함하고, 상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서에 의해서 적어도 일시적으로 구현되는 단말기에 있어서,상기 단말기에 연관되는 업링크 자원과 동일한 업링크 자원을 포함하는 임의접속 응답 메시지의 개수를 판단하는 판단부; 및상기 판단의 결과에 따라, 상기 업링크 자원을 통하여 전송되는 데이터의 전송 파워를 조절하는 제어부를 포함하는 단말기.
- 제27항에 있어서,상기 단말기에 연관되는 업링크 자원은 상기 단말기가 전송한 프리앰블 및 상기 단말기에 연관되는 시간정렬정보를 포함하는 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 것을 특징으로 하는 단말기.
- 제27항에 있어서,상기 단말기에 연관되는 업링크 자원을 포함하는 하나의 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신된 것으로 판단된 경우, 상기 제어부는 미리 지정된 기준 파워를 이용하여 상기 데이터를 전송하는 단말기.
- 제27항에 있어서,상기 단말기에 연관되는 업링크 자원을 포함하는 복수의 임의접속 응답 메시지가 수신된 것으로 판단된 경우, 상기 판단부는 상기 복수의 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 각각의 시간정렬정보와 상기 단말기에 연관되는 시간정렬정보를 비교하는 단말기.
- 제30항에 있어서,상기 제어부는 상기 비교의 결과에 기초하여 미리 지정된 기준 파워보다 소정 크기만큼 변화된 파워를 이용하여 상기 데이터를 전송하는 단말기.
- 제31항에 있어서,상기 제어부는 상기 단말기에 연관되는 시간정렬정보보다 큰 값을 갖는 시간정렬정보의 개수를 계산하고, 상기 개수에 기초하여 상기 미리 지정된 기준 파워보다 소정 크기만큼 변화된 파워를 이용하여 상기 데이터를 전송하는 단말기.
- 수신된 임의접속 응답 메시지에 미리 전송한 프리앰블 및 상기 프리앰블의 전송에 연관되는 시간정렬정보가 포함되는지 여부를 판단하는 단계; 및상기 판단의 결과에 따라, 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 포함되는 업링크 자원을 통하여 전송되는 데이터의 전송 파워를 조절하는 단계를 포함하는 임의접속 방법.
- 제33항에 있어서,상기 데이터의 전송 파워를 조절하는 단계는,상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 상기 프리앰블 및 상기 시간정렬정보가 포함된 것으로 판단된 경우, 미리 지정된 기준 파워를 이용하여 상기 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 임의접속 방법.
- 제33항에 있어서,상기 데이터의 전송 파워를 조절하는 단계는,상기 임의접속 응답 메시지에 상기 프리앰블이 포함되고, 상기 시간정렬정보가 포함되지 않는 것으로 판단된 경우, 상기 제어부는 미리 지정된 기준 파워보다 소정 크기만큼 변화된 파워를 이용하여 상기 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 임의접속 방법.
- 수신된 프리앰블을 이용하여 상기 프리앰블에 연관되는 기기가 고정된 기기인지 이동식 기기인지 여부를 식별하는 단계;상기 프리앰블과 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 수신된 횟수를 판단하는 단계; 및상기 식별의 결과 및 상기 판단의 결과에 따라 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하는 단계를 포함하는 임의접속 방법.
- 제36항에 있어서,상기 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하는 단계는,상기 기기가 고정된 기기로 식별되고, 상기 프리앰블과 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 두 개 수신된 것으로 판단된 경우에, 상기 프리앰블, 업링크 자원의 위치 정보 및 상기 두 개의 프리앰블의 시간정렬정보 중 더 작은 값의 시간정렬정보를 포함하는 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하는 단계를 포함하는 임의접속 방법.
- 제36항에 있어서,상기 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하는 단계는,상기 프리앰블과 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 제1 프리앰블로서 하나 수신된 것으로 판단된 경우에, 상기 제1 프리앰블에 대응하는 제1 단말기를 동일한 값을 갖는 프리앰블이 하나 수신된 상기 제2 프리앰블에 대응하는 제2 단말기와 그룹핑하는 단계를 포함하는 임의접속 방법.
- 제38항에 있어서,상기 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하는 단계는,상기 제1 단말기 및 상기 제2 단말기에 할당되는 동일한 업링크 자원을 포함하는 상기 임의접속 응답 메시지를 생성하는 임의접속 방법.
