Description

Dispositif lumineux comprenant une base, un projecteur et un bras connecté entre ladite base et ledit projecteur  Luminous device comprising a base, a projector and an arm connected between said base and said projector
Domaine de l'invention Field of the invention
The present invention relates to the field of lighting devices and, more specifically, a light device comprising a base for fixing said light device on a support, a projector provided with at least one light source and an arm connected to one from its ends to the base with a first fastener, the projector being attached to said arm with a second fastener.
Etat de la technique State of the art
Nowadays, it is known to use light devices comprising a projector provided with at least one light source, such as a light-emitting diode (LED) and a base for fixing said light device on a support. The projector is connected to the base by means of an arm, having for example the shape of a U and a first fixing element. The arm is connected to the base with the first attachment member so as to allow the arm to be rotatable relative to the base about a first axis of rotation. The projector is connected to the arm with a second fastener, the projector being rotatable relative to the arm about a second axis of rotation. The base makes it possible to fix said luminous device on a support, such as a wall or a supporting structure on which several luminous devices can be fixed next to each other. The base is connected, on the one hand, to a source of electrical energy for conveying said electrical energy towards the light source of the projector and, on the other hand, to a control system adapted to generate commands concerning the management of the use of the luminous device. In the field of the spectacle, and more particularly in the theatrical representations or the musical spectacles, the luminous devices represent a not insignificant part of the decoration. Indeed, the luminous devices are used in order to complete the visual image offered to the spectators by generating particular luminous effects. During the normal use of the light devices, it is possible to materialize the light beams obtained by means of the light source and this, using a smoke type "fog". This fog forms the support on which the various light beams are projected and made visible to the spectators.
Users of light devices arrange a fixed number of such light devices to create a structure for obtaining innovative visual effects. Thus, the light devices must be easily juxtaposed and adjustable to assemble without difficulty regardless of the final structure to obtain. In addition, for optimum use, the assembled light devices must cover a given surface by minimizing the free space between two adjacent light devices. In the prior art, the patent application DE19750368 discloses a light device comprising a light sphere, a support arm and a base. Given the external dimension of the support arm, the juxtaposition of two light devices requires the presence of a free space between two adjacent bases. The occupation of the surface concerned is therefore not optimal.
Moreover, in order to guarantee multiple possibilities of illumination, the luminous devices must be of simple structure with a reduced number of mechanical parts in order to guarantee reliability over time. In the prior art, the patent application US2004 / 0070984 discloses a light device comprising a support arm, a light sphere and a base. The support arm is rotatable relative to the base and the light sphere is rotatable relative to the support arm. However, the rotation of the light sphere relative to the support arm is performed by means of a single connecting piece. Thus, given the movements urged by the light device, the connection piece can quickly deteriorate and cause a malfunction of the light device. In the prior art, US Pat. No. 8,201,974 discloses a light device comprising a plurality of light sources, a base and a rotatable support allowing the orientation of the light sources along two axes of rotation perpendicular to each other. Such a light device is complex and expensive structure.
In the prior art, the application US6,146,195 also describes a light device comprising a light sphere, two support arms and a base. The presence of a second support arm results in the presence of additional connection elements which represent points of weakness for the reliability of the light device over time.
The light devices must also allow the diffusion of light beams without angular limitation.
In the prior art, in a remote field relating to surveillance cameras, patent application US2013 / 0147963 describes a monitoring device comprising a base, an arm and a camera. The structure of the arm is such that the area reserved for the location of the camera is extremely small. Therefore, the movement of the camera is limited within the monitoring device.
In the prior art, in a remote field relating to surveillance cameras, patent application US 201 1/0184249 describes a PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) surveillance device comprising a base, an arm and a camera. As known to those skilled in the art, within this type of surveillance device, the camera is rotatable around the base. However, the camera is movable relative to the arm according to a determined degree of inclination. Therefore, the angular amplitude of the camera relative to the arm is relatively limited.
Thus, it appears that the light devices in the prior art do not optimize the occupied area or guarantee an unlimited range of motion for the light source and reliability of the light device over time. In view of the observations above, the object of the present invention is to provide a light device in which the projector of the light device has an improved freedom of movement so that a first light device can easily be positioned at low distance from other luminous devices in order to obtain a luminous system comprising several luminous devices.
Objet de l'invention Object of the invention
L'objet de l'invention consiste à proposer un dispositif lumineux comprenant : The object of the invention is to propose a light device comprising:
une base permettant de fixer ledit dispositif lumineux sur un support, un projecteur pourvu d'au moins une source lumineuse, un bras connecté à l'une de ses extrémités sur la base à l'aide d'un premier élément de fixation, le bras étant mobile en rotation par rapport à la base, autour d'un premier axe de rotation, le projecteur étant fixé sur le bras à l'aide d'un deuxième élément de fixation, le projecteur étant mobile en rotation par rapport au bras, autour d'un deuxième axe de rotation,  a base for fixing said luminous device on a support, a projector provided with at least one light source, an arm connected at one of its ends to the base with the aid of a first fixing element, the arm being rotatable relative to the base, about a first axis of rotation, the projector being fixed to the arm with a second fixing element, the projector being rotatable relative to the arm, around a second axis of rotation,
le premier et le deuxième axe de rotation étant sensiblement perpendiculaires entre eux, et l'extrémité libre du bras définissant un volume cylindrique lors d'une rotation du bras autour du premier axe de rotation, le dispositif étant caractérisé en ce que :  the first and second axes of rotation being substantially perpendicular to each other, and the free end of the arm defining a cylindrical volume during a rotation of the arm about the first axis of rotation, the device being characterized in that:
lors d'une rotation du bras autour du premier axe de rotation, les extrémités de la base sont contenues dans le volume cylindrique et, lors d'une rotation du projecteur par rapport au bras autour du deuxième axe de rotation, les extrémités du projecteur sont contenues dans le volume cylindrique.  when rotating the arm about the first axis of rotation, the ends of the base are contained in the cylindrical volume and, when the projector is rotated relative to the arm about the second axis of rotation, the ends of the projector are contained in the cylindrical volume.
Thus, the light device according to the present invention comprises a projector being rotatable relative to the arm about a second axis of rotation. The arm is also rotatable relative to the base about a first axis of rotation, the projector is rotatable relative to the base about the first axis of rotation and about the second axis of rotation. The first and the second axis of rotation being substantially perpendicular to each other, the projector is free to be oriented in any direction relative to the base.
According to the present invention, the size and shape of the projector are defined so that the ends of the projector are contained within a defined cylindrical volume when the arm rotates about the first axis of rotation relative to the base, when rotating the projector relative to the arm. In addition, the size and shape of the base are defined so that the ends of said base are contained within the same cylindrical volume, during a rotation of the projector relative to the arm about the first axis of rotation.
In other words, the light device according to the invention allows a first light device to be positioned adjacent to a second light device, in which the different rotations of the arm and the projector made around the first and second axis rotation can not, in any way, prevent movement by the arm and the projector of the second light device, adjacent to the first light device. Thus, the light device has a relatively compact structure, composed of several light devices positioned adjacent to each other.

According to a particular embodiment of the present invention, the second axis of rotation coincides with an axis of symmetry of said sphere. The present invention relates to a light device, particularly adapted for the purpose of being used in a light assembly of several light devices, said light devices being positioned next to each other.
Figure 1 describes the embodiment of a light device 10 according to the invention. The light device 10 comprises a base 1 adapted to allow the positioning and fixing of the light device 10 on a support. The support may be in any suitable form of support, for example a wall. In normal use, the base 1 is often attached to a specific supporting structure. Such a carrier structure makes it possible to fix together several light devices 10, at a minimum distance next to each other, in order to obtain a luminous assembly of light devices providing optimal visual effects.
The base 1 is provided with at least one connector for connection with a source of electrical energy. In addition, the base 1 is provided with another connector for receiving the control signals associated with the control commands and the optimal operation of the light device 10 according to the preferences of a user. The control commands make it possible to obtain the rotation of an arm 2 and a projector 4 described below.
Indeed, the device 10 comprises an arm 2 connected at its lower end to the base 1 by means of a first fastening element 3. The first fastening element 3 allows the arm 2 to remain rotatable relative to the base 1, about a first axis of rotation I. The first axis of rotation I, shown in Figure 1, is a vertical axis located in the center of the light device 10. When rotating about the first axis of rotation I, the arm 2 pivots freely relative to the base 1. According to the present invention, the fastening element 3 allows the rotation, without limit, of the arm 2 relative to the base 1. Thus, the arm 2 can pivot, towards a first or a second direction, at an angle between 0 and 360 °, and as many times as necessary for optimal use. Thus, the arm 2 can produce a circular motion repeatedly and continuously. The rotational movement being without limit, the manipulation of the arm 2 is facilitated, which allows an increased flexibility of use for the user. Indeed, the manipulation of the arm 2 can guide said arm 2 at any angle by performing a minimum rotational movement. The fixing element 3 is adapted to the transmission, on the one hand, of the electrical energy from the base 1 to the arm 2 and, on the other hand, to the transmission of the signals making it possible to control the movements and the use of the light source of the device 10.
The luminous device 10 comprises a projector 4 fixed to the arm 2 by means of a second fastening element 5 and a third fastening element 6. The second fastening element 5 allows the projector 4 to pivot freely around the projector. a second axis of rotation II, at an angle between 0 and 360 °, and as many times as necessary for optimal use. Thus, the projector 4 can produce a circular motion repeatedly and continuously. The rotational movement being limitless, the manipulation of the projector 4 is thus facilitated, which allows an increased flexibility of use for the user. Indeed, the manipulation of the projector 4 allows to orient said projector 4 at any angle by performing a minimum rotational movement. The second axis of rotation II, shown in Figure 1, is a horizontal axis of rotation substantially perpendicular to the first axis of rotation I. In the embodiment according to Figure 1, the arm 2 is essentially in the form of a "U". The projector 4 is connected to the two longitudinal elements of the "U" through a second fastening element 5 and a third fastening element 6. The fastening elements 5 and 6 are positioned to allow, in combination, the rotation of the projector 4 relative to the arm 2. The second fastener 5 and the third fastener 6 are of the same type as the first fastener 3. In other words, the second fastener 5 and the third fastener 6 are adapted to allow free rotation of the projector 4 relative to the arm 2. The projector 4 can rotate, without limit, whatever the direction of rotation. In addition, at least the second fastening element 5 or the third fastening element 6 can be adapted to transmit the electrical energy and the controls of the arm 2 towards the projector 4 and this, in order to allow the optimal operation of the light source of the projector 4.
The projector 4 is provided, within it, with at least one light source which emits a light beam towards the outside of the projector 4. Such a light source comprises, for example, a light-emitting diode (LED). The most suitable design for use within a light device 10 according to the invention is that to use an LED fixed on a printed circuit. The LED receives instructions relating to the use of the LEDs, thanks to this printed circuit, said printed circuit being adapted to receive commands aiming at an optimal use of said LEDs. Any type of LED can be used within the light device 10 according to the present invention, such as for example a multicolored LED associated with four colors: red, green, blue and white. The presence of these four colors makes it possible to define a multitude of color combinations for the light source. The multicolored LEDs are used, in the invention, in combination with an optical element, such as a collimator, for the purpose of directing the light beam coming from the light source towards the outside of the projector 4. The use a structure composed of LEDs fixed on a printed circuit and a collimator is described in detail in the French patent application FR2988474 in the name of the same applicant.
The light device 10 according to the invention produces a light beam having a color and an intensity depending on the commands transmitted to said light device 10. During normal use, the light device 10 can be used in the presence of a smoke screen of type "fog". When the light beam illuminates said smoke screen, said light beam materializes on said smoke screen.
FIG. 2 shows a side view of the light device 10 according to FIG. In FIG. 2, the arm 2 positioned on the base 1 has external dimensions similar to that of the base 1. As shown in FIG. 2, the projector 4 is essentially in the form of a sphere, the second axis of rotation II being essentially identical to the axis of symmetry of said sphere, in a plane parallel to the horizontal plane of the base 1. A light beam 20, obtained with the aid of a light source, is schematically represented by means of lines dashed. The arm 2 can pivot freely relative to the base around the first axis of rotation I in both directions shown by the arrow.
FIG. 3 represents a view from above of the light device 10 according to FIGS. 1 and 2. FIG. 3 shows the arm 2 and the projector 4. The base 1, covered by the arm 2, is not visible in FIG. 3 .
Thus, as shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the projector 4 can pivot relative to the arm 2 and the assembly formed by the arm 2 and the projector 4 can pivot freely relative to the base 1. The light device 10 according to the invention is such that, during a rotation of the arm 2 around the first axis of rotation I, the ends of the base 1 are contained in a cylindrical volume defined by the free ends of the arm 2 when the a rotation of the arm 2 about the first axis of rotation I. Simultaneously, during a rotation of the projector 4 relative to the arm 2, around the second axis of rotation II, the ends of the projector 4 are contained in the same cylindrical volume.
Thus, the cylindrical volume is defined such that said cylindrical volume completely contains the base 1, the arm 2 and the projector 4 and in a compact manner. Indeed, the base 1 defines the dimensions of the base of the cylindrical volume at a first end. The outer dimensions of the arm 2 define the dimensions of the wall of the cylindrical volume. The dimensions of the projector 4 define the location of the base of the cylindrical volume at a second end.
The size of the light device 10 within the cylindrical volume is defined so that the light device 10 comprises a projector 4 which contains an optical element whose dimensions are the largest possible in combination with a base 1 whose dimensions are the smaller possible.
Thanks to the technical characteristics of the light device 10 according to the invention, a first light device 10 can be positioned at a small distance from a second light device 10, insofar as the rotation of the arm 2 around the first axis of rotation I and the rotation of the projector 4 around the second axis of rotation II does not interfere with the free rotation of the arm 2 and the projector 4 of the second light device 10.
FIG. 4 represents a first luminous assembly of four luminous devices 10 according to the invention. The four light devices 10 according to the arrangement as described in Figure 4 form, in combination, a square. FIG. 4 shows that the various luminous devices 10 can be positioned, very closely, from each other without the different rotations exerted by the arms 2 and the projectors 4 of the different luminous devices 10 hindering the rotations of the arms 2 and projectors 4 of neighboring devices.
According to Figure 4, the arms 2 and the projectors 4 are positioned to allow the light beams 20 to form, in combination, a divergent visual effect. FIG. 5 shows the luminous devices 10 according to FIG. 4, with the arms 2 and the projectors 4 positioned in such a way that the different light beams 20 form, in combination, a convergent visual effect.
FIG. 6 represents a luminous assembly of seven light devices 10 according to the invention. According to FIG. 6, the various luminous devices 10 can be positioned very close to one another, without the different rotations exerted by the arms 2 and the projectors 4 of the different light devices 10 hindering the rotations of the arms 2 and projectors 4 of neighboring luminous devices 10.
