- strain detection structure according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1A to 11C.
- “to” indicating a numerical range is used as a meaning including numerical values described before and after the numerical value as a lower limit value and an upper limit value.
- a strain detection structure (hereinafter, referred to as a first strain detection structure 10A) according to the first embodiment is an object to be detected (inspection target). It consists of a ceramic body 12 attached to an object (not shown). Further, both end portions 18a and 18b excluding the central portion 12c of the main body 12 constitute an attachment portion that is attached to the inspection object using, for example, bolt tightening or an adhesive.
- the ratio ( ⁇ / E) between the strength ( ⁇ : MPa) and the Young's modulus (E: GPa) of the first strain detection structure 10A is preferably 0.04% or more. More preferably, it is 0.1% or more, Most preferably, it is 0.3% or more. Further, the difference in coefficient of thermal expansion from the structure constituting the building to be inspected is desirably ⁇ 2 ppm / K or less, more preferably ⁇ 1 ppm / K or less.
- the size of the main body 12 was kept constant, and the change in strain when the material was changed was confirmed. That is, for Examples 1 to 24 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2, a tensile load was applied in the longitudinal direction of the main body 12 to confirm the amount of strain (strain) when the main body 12 was broken.
- the dimensions in one direction (y direction) of the main body 12, that is, the width Lm (see FIG. 1A) is 20 mm. It is.
- the one direction is a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction (x direction) of the main body 12 and orthogonal to the thickness direction (z direction).
- the thickness ta (see FIG. 1B) of the main body 12 is 0.5 mm. The results are shown in Table 1 below.
- the strain detection structure (hereinafter referred to as the second strain detection structure 10B) according to the second embodiment is an object for detecting strain (inspection).
- a ceramic main body 12 attached to an object (not shown), and a stress concentration portion 14 formed on the main body 12 and breaking at a predetermined strain or more.
- the main body 12 can be attached to the inspection object by a known method, for example, by bolting or using an adhesive or the like.
- the second strain detection structure 10B has a circular through hole 16 in the center of the main body 12 when viewed from the plane (upper surface). Therefore, the stress concentration portion 14 is a portion of the main body 12 that is thinned by the through hole 16. That is, when the dimension of the whole body 12 in one direction (y direction), that is, the width is Lm (see FIG. 2A) and the dimension in one direction of the stress concentration portion 14 is Lc (see FIG. 2C), Lc ⁇ Lm. is there. That is, the stress concentration part 14 is configured by a thin part in one direction.
- both end portions 18a and 18b of the main body 12 constitute an attachment portion that is attached to the inspection object using, for example, bolting or an adhesive.
- the predetermined strain is a strain within a range in which it is determined whether or not the inspection object has deformed beyond the allowable stress. For example, 0.1% or 0.2% is selected.
- the inspection object includes, for example, a pressure vessel, a metal frame (a frame of a heavy machine, a frame of a press machine, a frame of a device that applies hydrostatic pressure, etc.), a utility pole, a steel tower, a concrete structure, a reinforced concrete structure, etc. Is included.
- the strain amount can be selected in a range before and after the yield point is sandwiched. If it is an inspection object in which the yield point does not appear clearly, the strain amount can be selected in a range before and after the strain amount at the time of stress generation corresponding to 0.2% proof stress.
- One reason for selecting the strain within the elastic deformation range of the inspection object below the yield point as the predetermined strain is as follows. That is, normally, even if a distortion within a range of elastic deformation occurs in the structure, it returns to its original state, so it is difficult to determine whether the distortion has occurred, that is, whether a load has been applied. Therefore, for example, by periodically checking the destruction of the stress concentration portion 14 in the second strain detection structure 10B, and repeating the operation of replacing the second strain detection structure 10B with a new one if it has been destroyed, It is possible to know how many times the distortion of about 0.1% has occurred, which can be used for analysis of the aging of the inspection object. Of course, by shortening the inspection cycle, it is possible to more accurately know the number of times that distortion of about 0.1% has occurred.
- the ceramic constituting the main body 12 preferably contains zirconia.
- the strain at the time of destruction is 0.56%, and by providing the stress concentration portion 14, the main body 12 is destroyed with strain within a range in which the inspection object is elastically deformed, for example, 0.1% or 0.2%. Can do.
- zirconia has a thermal expansion coefficient substantially the same as that of carbon steel (mild steel material) or reinforced concrete, it can compensate for the temperature change. This leads to the ability to detect distortion without being affected by temperature changes, and is advantageous for improving detection accuracy.
- FIGS. 2A to 2C Samples 1 to 7 each have a width Lm (length in one direction of the main body 12) of the main body 12 and a thickness ta (see FIG. 2B) of the main body 12 of 1 mm. .
- the diameter Da of the through-hole 16 is 4 mm for sample 1, 8 mm for sample 2, 9 mm for sample 3, 11 mm for sample 4, 15 mm for sample 5, 19 mm for sample 6, and 26 mm for sample 7. The results are shown in Table 2 below.
- the main body 12 can be destroyed with a predetermined strain by changing the diameter Da of the through hole 16. That is, the main body 12 can be destroyed with a predetermined strain by appropriately changing the dimension Lc of the stress concentration portion 14.
- the main body 12 of the second strain detection structure 10B is also predetermined.
- the stress concentration part 14 is destroyed.
- the stress concentration portion 14 is cracked or broken. Thereby, it can be confirmed whether predetermined distortion generate

- a visible member 24 is installed with an adhesive or the like between the main body 12 and the inspection object (indicated by a two-dot chain line) at least in a portion facing the thin portion 22. It can also be preferably employed. In this case, since the visible member 24 is exposed when all or part of the thin-walled portion 22 that has been secondarily broken off, the observer confirms the exposure of the visible member 24, so that a predetermined distortion is applied to the main body 12. It is easy to know that has occurred.

- the thin portion 22 is cracked starting from the failure.
- the crack expands in a frame shape along the thin portion 22 due to the presence of the weight portion 26, and the destruction (secondary fracture) of the thin portion 22 is induced.
