The invention is based on the idea that can be controlled by a central controller in passenger numbers of individual means of transport in the central data processing module, timetables and utilization of an association of means of transport and coordinated.

The first aspect of the invention thus has the advantage that an excessive load can be detected by stops, so that the schedule of the dressing can be adapted to means of transport by means of transport or a larger number of re large- anfahrenden transport.

Furthermore, the proposed data recording system has the advantage that a high reliability in the identification of moving persons is ensured by the series of three-dimensional matrices as a detection signal. Moreover, data acquisition system of the invention enables automatic detection of the passenger and an automatic assignment of the number of passengers to the identifier of the transport means or of the detection module, and / or the location information, without the need for manual intervention in the operation of the data acquisition system is necessary.

By measuring the duration the acquisition module provides relevant information for the identification of moving people with significantly fewer pixels compared to video cameras. During a video camera typically transmits about 100,000 pixels per time step, it is in the novel detection module forthcoming Trains t less than 1000 pixels. In order for a data streaming to the central data processing module is particularly easy to implement.

As transport is preferable to understand a bus below. As an alternative to data acquisition by an association of buses, the proposed data collection system but can also an association of ferries, car rental or other publicly accessible transportation borrowed without manual access control are used.

From the set operation of the data acquisition system also results in that the means of transport and the person are not part of the data acquisition system.

Exemplary embodiments of the data acquisition system of the invention are described. In one embodiment, the data acquisition system the central data processing module has an additional output unit that is configured to output a representation of parts of the sortable data set graphically. Such output unit can be for example a screen or a printer. In a variant of this embodiment, a statistic of passenger numbers for a user of the data processing module can be provided in the form of a printout or graphic output directly to the data processing module. In a further embodiment, the transmitting unit is adapted to transmit the detection signal together with the identifier of the transport means or of the detection module, and the location information wirelessly in a GSM, WLAN, UMTS, DECT, LTE or NGMN network. In a variation of this embodiment, such a transfer through a network connection at the stops of the transport means is realized so that networks with short range, such as the Wi-Fi network can be used by the transmitter unit.

In another embodiment, the data acquisition system, the detection module also has a user interface which is configured to receive an individual-signal and outputting to the transmitting unit. The transmitter unit is also arranged to assign state information to the individual signal and transmit them, wherein the central data processing module receiving this state information, and may assign the detection signal. In a first variant of this embodiment, the data acquisition system on an input surface and associated processing means, which are designed to generate the individual signal by a manual input to the input surface, which is connected to the user interface. Thus, the person who has been detected and characterized, the detection signal is triggered, also be assigned as a person-specific information from the central data processing module, the individual signal. An example of this first variant is the input of an individual payment code as an individual signal. Another example is an association with a group of people, such as pensioners, students or people with prams, by the person or driver of the transport means. When the user interface is in an example of this variation to a touch screen or a keyboard. In a second variant of this embodiment, the detection module is adapted to receive the individual signal as a NFC, ZigBee, WLAN or Bluetooth signal through the user interface. In one example of this second variant, the individual signal is a personal identification number or an individual payment code. The personal identification number or the individual payment code are transmitted from a mobile terminal of the person or, in the case of a NFC signal of an RFID system, a payment card of the person. In further variants of this embodiment assigned to the individual signal status information includes the information whether a payment for the use of such transportation was placed on the person. In other variations, the state information includes the assignment to a group of people as examples play as pensioners, students or people with prams, by the person or driver of the transport means. An advantage of this embodiment is attributable to the fact that in addition to the passenger numbers, the need for stroller pitches or disabled seats can be centrally recorded.

In a further variant of the mentioned in the last paragraph embodiment, the detection module is configured with a mobile terminal of the person who uses the transport means to perform an exchange of data, while a unique address of the mobile terminal, one arranged in the mobile terminal SIM card or a receiving installed on the mobile device application as an individual signal. Characterized the reception of the unique individual signal thus can be automated by the user interface advantageous. In one embodiment, the data acquisition system, the detection module is arranged by a replaceable module mounting of the transport means. Thus, a new acquisition module can be arranged on the transport means in the case of repair, without the help of a skilled person. In a variation of this embodiment, the detection module is a programmed according to the inventive operation of the detection module commercially available mobile device such as a smartphone or a tablet PC.

In another embodiment, the data acquisition system, the detection module is configured to detect electromagnetic radiation only when a door, which is attached to the same transport means, in which also the detection module is arranged, is open. One advantage of this embodiment that is sent only slightly as people enter the transport or leave, so that the necessary for the operation of the detection module energy and space allocation unit can be saved. Since apparently only the times in which the door is open for the inventive determination of passenger numbers are relevant, the aforementioned advantages of this embodiment lead to any limitations in the functionality of the data acquisition system. In a variant of this embodiment from an associated door door control system a door status signal relating to a position of the door is sent to the detection module, so that the detection module detects in accordance with the door status signal or not detected, and therefore sends, in the case of an open door and with the door closed does not sends.

In one embodiment, a first detection module to an input and a second detecting module are mounted on an output of the transport means. In the event that one equipped with two doors of transport of the person will not leave by the same door through which it was entered previously, this has the advantage that the data acquisition system does not need to determine the direction of detected persons, since the detection signal of first detecting module, the ingoing and the ausstei- constricting persons may be assigned by the assignment unit to the detection signal of the second detection module.

In one embodiment, the data acquisition system the central data processing module further comprises a feedback unit, which can send a feedback signal based on information of sortable data set. This feedback signal is received by a receiving unit which is disposed port means in the same transport, in which the detection signal was determined. In a variation of this embodiment, the feedback signal contains the information shown on the transport if the transport is full. This is advantageous for a large number of standing passengers, as they can be bad about looking from the driver. In another variation of this embodiment, the day determined by the allocation unit number of passengers is sent as a feedback signal. In another variation of this embodiment, the day determined by the allocation unit number is determined to free places as a feedback signal.

In another embodiment, the assigning unit may additionally assign the detection signal identification information, which is suitable to allow an unambiguous assignment of the ge person who used the means of transport to the identification information. The identification information is, for example, a bit sequence that includes a representation of at least parts of the detection signal, wherein the association of the detection signal to this bit sequence is performed by a processor of the allocation unit. In this embodiment, multiple identifi- cation can be assigned to information of the same person, which is relevant because of possible inaccuracies in the transit time measurement. By assigning a specific person to the identification information that drives this person can be tracked in the equipped with acquisition modules means of transport in retrospect. This can also be used as a basis for a passenger transport payment system according to this embodiment, a data acquisition system.

In one embodiment, the detection module further comprises a position determining unit, which is adapted to determine a position of the transport means on which the position determination unit is arranged, and as output the location information of the transportation means to the transmitting unit. In a variant of this embodiment the position of the means of transport is determined by a GPS signal. In another variant of this embodiment the position of the transport means is transmitted by a retaining site-specific signal from a transmitter of the station to the position determining unit which receives this stops specific signal and outputs belonging to the station location information.

In a preferred embodiment, the data acquisition system, the identification unit determines the detection signal by determining a difference between the transit times of the detected electromagnetic radiation without person, so a background signal, and the durations of a current signal of detected electromagnetic radiation. If this difference is different from zero, it is assumed that electromagnetic radiation reflected by a person, so that the detection signal is determined and outputted to the transmitting unit. Such a formation of differences of propagation time measurements has the additional advantage that the amount of data contained in the detection signal is reduced, which in turn leads to a faster transmission by the transmitting unit and less storage space in the central data acquisition module.

In a further preferred embodiment, the data acquisition system, the detection module also has a memory unit in which the identifier of the transport means or of the detection module is stored and which provides this identifier to the transmitting unit. In a preferred variant of this embodiment, the respective current location information of the transportation means is stored in the storage unit and provided to the transmitting unit and the sending of the detection signals by the transmitting unit.

According to a second aspect, the invention relates to a method of operating a data acquisition system. This method of operating a data acquisition system, the row on to the following steps:

- generating electromagnetic radiation which are arranged in at least two transport resources by a plurality of detection modules, and are respectively assigned to one of transport; - detecting one of a person using the means of transport, outgoing electromagnetic radiation; - outputting a sequence of three-dimensional matrices as a detection signal based on a transit time measurement of the light reflected by the person and then detected electromagnetic radiation to a plurality of successive points in time;
